Parakeet Cafe in Carlsbad is one of my favorite spots! It’s the perfect mix of healthy, delicious food and a gorgeous, welcoming atmosphere. Everything on the menu is fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. I love that they focus on clean, organic meals without compromising on taste. The staff is always kind and helpful, and the space itself is beautiful and relaxing. The coffee is delicious and they have a great variety of options! I loved their “All I Avo Wanted”! You’ll leave feeling great. Highly recommend!

It was a delicious breakfast. We had the avocado toasted harvest toast, salmon and eggs, and egg sandwiches, along with a turmeric latte, an iced matcha latte, and everything was so good! My only comment we didn't care for the turmeric latte. I highly recommend this restaurant for a decision breakfast.

Everything was excellent. Perfect drinks and delicious breakfast. We had the avocado toasted harvest toast, charcoal waffle and shakshuka along with a flat white, turmeric latte, iced matcha latte and an iced latte and everything was so good! My only comment would be that the waffle should have more fresh fruit on it considering it’s $20, there was hardly enough to enjoy so I left behind a quarter of my waffle.

Oh my gosh the service here is incredible. While there is always a line (because the food is so tasty, so like it's actually a good thing), it always moves fast, and the food is so fresh and amazing. But what takes it over the top is the service. Literally today I wanted to get a coffee to go but I didn't want to stand in line again so I was going to try to place an online order for pick up. One of the amazing servers overheard me, brought over their portable "toast" ordering menu thing, and got me a latte to go no problem! One of those things that if it didn't happen it wouldn't have made a difference to how we felt about the place, but because he went above and beyond, it really stood out and had a huge impact! Amazing!

I stopped into Parakeet last Sunday night, on my way to the airport, to catch my flight home to Portland. I was provided excellent customer service by 3 people that worked there: Ashley S, Ryan, and Shawn. They were warm and friendly, and provided the perfect send-off before I left San Diego! They were very accommodating in making sure my order was vegan, and catered to my specific food desires. Super delicious hot chocolate, and I also grabbed a cookie and bowl to go. I love how clean and healthy Parakeet is, and I appreciate how they do not used refined sugar in their desserts. This is very hard to find! I can’t wait to come back to San Diego for more Parakeet treats!

Only feedback is the burger is not even close to living up to its name, buns should not be dried out and it needs some love all around, def step up the burger game lmk if you need pointers….also important people know that you actually use 2 different types of salmon that are very different in quality and you get shafted on portion when you order the high quality salmon. The Poke bowl is about as well crafted for your health as anything you will find at any restaurant, ultra clean and optimal omnivore food, thank you!

I've been wanted to try this place for a while, I'm glad.I finally did. Very cute, lovely vibe and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Paty was very welcoming when we entered and Aida helped me with all the menu options. We ordered the Shakshuka and chilaquiles! Great options!! We will be back!

Sean is hands down one of the friendliest baristas I’ve ever met! Every time I walk in, he greets me with a warm smile and genuinely positive energy. Whether it’s a busy morning or a quiet afternoon, he always takes the time to make you feel welcome and remembered. It’s clear he cares about both the coffee and the people. Sean brings such a great vibe to the place—he’s a big part of why I keep coming back!

Also, if you're kicking it there, highly recommend sticking to their drip coffee because they give free refills. GF told me her mom didn't like the blueberry scones but I tried them and they are good!! Its a texture preference for sure. They're on the crumbly side rather than soft and I liked it. My go to with my girl whenever we have a minute, staff is super chill too. Haven't heard any Karen's bug them so I hope theyre good 🙏🏽🤙🏽

Great local addition to Carlsbad. We love their pastries and breakfast dishes and my daughter says the lemonade is excellent. Pricey so better for the occasional treat.

As with the Del Mar location, the decor of the café/ restaurant is very cute and Instagram- able. The food was fresh, however the portion size was rather small. My salmon toast came on a slice of sourdough and 1 thin piece of smoked salmon. Very disappointing for $18. Not a place to go if you are hungry.

Why 3 stars overall even though the food and service are good? I truly don't understand the high mark-up in price ($18 dollars for Crunchy Chinese Salad, which, let's be honest, is high anyway for a salad) to 21.75 on DoorDash when there's no extra work on Parakeet's part. In fact, theoretically less. Make the food. Have it ready. Things you're already doing. Someone else (DoorDash) does the rest. AND it helps increase your business. I mean, the salad is good, but not almost-22-dollars-plus-extra-fees good.

Food was good. Employees were very nice. The atmosphere was terrible. It was so loud you could not could hear the person across the table or sitting next to you. The outdoor seating could have been better but it was a sunny day and the umbrellas were scarce and many tables were directly in the sun. Would not go back.

At first I just moved seats, but that didn’t help so eventually I had to leave. The service was just ok, but there was no bus station to put my dirty dishes, I asked them what to do and they said I just leave them on my table and they will clear it. Which was fine, but I wanted to remove it so I had room to use my computer, so I had to wait for them to come and take my plates.
