Our server was friendly and fantastic... I did feel pressure to vacate our table by the hostess that stopped by a few times after plates were cleared. We still had a full blood mary and cup of coffee to drink. We were only at our table for 45 minutes at that time. Will come back for sure but won't feel peer pressured to leave asap.
Outstanding... 5 star. Loved the cute little restaurant. Greated by the owner of the restaurant. She's so sweet. The food was exceptional. And the staff was also very kind & thoughtful. You must go and treat yourselves to this little cafe.
I always love Sunday brunch here. The food is great and they have better coffee than other places we go for breakfast. There can be a wait on Sunday but we got right in this time. Busy but that's because they're good!
The food and service were great the one time we went. I wanted to leave a review as a heads up for parents ordering kid's meals. They're over $10 and do not come with a drink, so if your child orders juice, it makes their kid's meal $15. Ask me how I know. 🤦♀️ I took 3 kids who all ordered apple juice because they're used to a kid's meal coming with a drink at most restaurants.
I had a brunch here at Lido cafe this past July. Yup, it's been awhile and now I'm finalizing my draft review. The cafe in Fair Oaks gets a thumbs up from me though. It's the type of place is becoming extinct... family owned and operated, neighborhood signature vibes, simple good homemade food, and decent pricing. The hours are 7am-2pm Wednesday-Sunday. I dropped in on a late Sunday morning. The place was packed. Bustling with lots folks ranging from large generational families, solo diners, young teenagers with their friends on break to golden couples happily trudging along with their walkers. But even me and hubs could feel the sense of family ownership and welcoming neighborly vibes. Trust me, I don't get those vibes often. They had patio dining as well, but it was a bit hot for me to sit outside in July even with the shaded covering. But I'm a wimp regarding the summer heat. We sat inside. Comfortable and air conditioned. When it's a full house, it is loud and crowded. For folks with hearing aids, the tables along the walls are the best bet. I ordered an almond milk latte. I didn't have high hopes of anything spectacular, but I was wrong. It was deliciously smooth and creamy with an airy froth and espresso flavor. Darn delicious. One of the best I've ever tasted. I also ordered a half order of eggs benedict. Luv that they offered a half order, most places don't. The hollandaise sauce was smooth and the poached egg had a satisfying perfect yolk ooze. The flavors were ok overall. Hubs ordered an egg salad sandwich that came with fresh fried tortilla chips n salsa. No complaints from him. Another cool thing about the menu is that they offer doggie meals (for your fur babies). No lie. The meals average $4.95 and come with a water bowl. Dogs are served on the patio. Also if your dog needs to do his business, there is an ample strip of lawn with shade trees near the sidewalk in front of the parking lot.
Vanilla lates were a fave among our group of ladies that went in to travel. I had the Soup of the day and Half sandwich on RYE and the bread was so flavourful and seemed made in house. Salsa also made fresh. The butternut squash soup was very tasty and my ultimate fave. They even had a puppy menu. You can even call ahead for no wait for larger parties at least 30 mins ahead.
I walked over for breakfast while my car was getting worked on. The servers were quick to take my order even though it was busy and the service was good. I ordered the Mediterranean Omelette and a coffee, it was simple but tasty. I sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. Prices are a bit higher but it was worth it to me.
Had a great visit to Lido Cafe this weekend! The staff was so helpful and friendly — it really made the experience even better. We got some treats to-go, and the peach hand pie was absolutely amazing. Bella loved the peach cobbler too! Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.
This is my favorite spot in the whole world. I come here often and they have my order memorized. Chili dogs all day every day. Katie and Nicky are the best! My daughter plays with her kids table at home and always mimics my order that I get at Lidos. She says “Welcome to Lidos, what can I get you today”
Had no idea this gem existed! Love the vibe and ambience! Parking can be a little tough but still amazing! They have outdoor and indoor seating. The menu is extensive and it's hard to choose. Yass to a wonderful brunch location with doggos around. Servers were amazing and keep our drinks refilled. Highly recommend.
Stop, and think again! This isn't your run of the mill, strip-mall breakfast joint. Lido Cafe and Bakery will surprise you with it's quiet combination of a shiny, clean facility serving quality food with friendly, attentive staff. In warmer weather, you can enjoy their quiet outdoor patio. (Furry friends allowed.) Lido is slightly upscale, but small and friendly. It's been a Carmichael fixture for years and rightfully so. Open for breakfast and lunch, Lido is delightful! Give it a try soon... You won't be disappointed.
I've eaten at Lido's a few times and have found the food and service to be consistently good. I've had both breakfast and lunch. Breakfast always comes with good portion sizes and I particularly like their bacon (thick-cut and crispy!). The place is typically busy but we've never had to wait very long. I recommend!
Updated review, July 29, 2022: Lido's is still busy with an upscale, local crowd. Some perks I didn't mention in my previous review...Lido's is dog friendly on their outdoor patio! And, they have a full bar for mimosas, bloody Mary's, and any adult drink you desire. Fresh baked cinnamon rolls are available on Saturday and Sunday. Other pastries are available daily. Lido Cafe and Bakery has been in the neighborhood a long time! Shawna has moved into a bigger space with sole focus on the restaurant. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch, and offers a dinner menu Wednesday thru Sunday. Check the website for specifics. My family enjoyed Easter brunch at Lido and we were quite happy with our meal. We ordered Strawberry French Toast, Country Fried Steak and a Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich. Everything was very tasty! The service staff looked great and was very attentive! Our server, Gustavo, was GREAT! There is a bakery display of beautiful pastries that greets you as you arrive. You'll be full when you leave, so order them to take home!
Lido’s is really the best kept secret! We had to include them in our hidden gem series near Sacramento. We LOVE having breakfast here! We’re limited to 30 seconds a video on here, so if you’d like to watch the full video, you can see it on our Instagram @the.foodienomads we get close ups of everything we ordered. Met up with a couple friends for lunch. Food & service was really good. The noise level was surprising...it was really loud. However, everyone seemed happy. Staff was friendly. I'm open to going back for another meal.
Cute spot, very friendly staff. Great looking dessert case. Meant to grab the cobbler or something to take home. Next time! Had the steak breakfast burrito with chipotle sauce and potatoes. The sauce has a good amount of spice to it. Ordered extra. Very big plate and took some home. I like a lot more flavor in my food but I think this place is perfect for what most people are looking for. Clean and well prepared fresh food.
Experienced Lido Cafe and Bakery today and I was not disappointed. Came here on a Sunday so expected to have to wait forever.. but that was not the case. Although the restaurant was packed, and a few names ahead of me they got us in pretty quick. The hostess (an older lady) was absolutely adorable and really worked that both and the room with her almost southern like hospitality. I ordered a couple sides and just made my own kind of a biscuit and gravy bowl and it was fantastic. My wife ordered the chorizo burrito which she also said was delicious. For as crowded as the restaurant was and rush hour on a Sunday morning we got in, got our food (hot even) and got out all In a timely manner. The ambiance is typical for a shopping strip restaurant, clean, clutter free and cutesy.
Let's not kid ourselves. The wait is very long. Anyone that says otherwise is lying. Now, being as busy as they are . They do serve the food within a decent wait time. Half of the staff needs to smile more. Not so welcoming. The food is hot and nothing is over seasoned. The price is comparable to everywhere else. Good quality. I wish the had real fruit juice . They don't fill the plate with a bunch of carbs which is nice . Everything comes in at the same time we ordered 4 plates. I had the country fried steak, and eggs Benedict. My son had chicken and waffles which was chicken breast. He said it was great. His mom had eggs Benedict Florentine. They couldn't finish it cause they're light weights. Lol I do appreciate the fine detail. Of cooking the asparagus garnish perfectly.. They can get away with it and no one will know. But I tried it and it was cooked perfect.
1si time going here. Waitress was nice. Coffee (huge cup) right away. Ordered 2 biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, light hash browns, 2 sausage patties. Eggs and burnt hash browns came 1st. Where's my biscuits? They are coming. Tik tok tik tok ⏰️. Where are my biscuits?? Finally arrive in a 🥣? Wait! Only one?? Eggs and burnt hash browns now cold. Placed sausage patties on napkins (lucky i had plenty). A ton of grease!! Biscuit (only one i got) was actually good. Manager came by. Pleasant lady. Spoke for a few. Than came the bill... WHAT?? Not a penny off? Almost $25. For food I could barely scarf down. Moments later waitress came by. Told her that seemed like a lot of money for 1 person foe breakfast considering burnt hash browns that were cold as well as eggs. Not to mention the amount of grease. Came back later with adjusted bill. THANK GOD!! As I told her, it wasn't her fault. Left her a nice size Tip.
I just ordered an egg salad sandwich to go. Most of the sandwich was gross iceberg lettuce. There was maybe 2 tablespoons of the actual egg salad. I know becauset bread was very stale so I went home and scraped off the egg salad to put on a fresh piece of toast at home. Absolutely ridiculous I will never order a sandwich from there again. No wonder they asked me if I wanted my bread toasted because they serve stale bread. Also the sandwich is super small for 14.00 I've had their omelettes and those are good
The TBA sandwich is mediocre at best. Tiny sandwich for what you pay and have to pay extra for fries😲🤷♀️The bread was dry and old . I have been here a few times still trying to see if they get better but it’s really not worth the money. Not a hidden gem sorry 😞
Bad waitress, rushing the customers and made us wait for ten minutes before she helped us. Another employee took our order. Food is good but it is over priced. We were obligated to leave a tip for a bad server. We definitely won’t come back to dine in. Just take out and pay with cash if it is available. 10/16/2025. We called the restaurant and according to them everything was fine and we just got robbed for two simple things.
