Great prices on excellent taqueria food. I had the grilled chicken enchilada plate & my wife went with her usual carnitas tacos - both were great and the salsa bar has an awesome selection to have with the self-service chips and dress your meal items. I have also had a variety of other items, including tostadas, crispy tacos and burritos - never a disappointment!
I Love their Beef Soup!. OH! and wet burritos...They are always very nice, always get my order right!.I call ahead and it always ready on time... Even during the pandemic they maintained their quality of Service and FOOD!...DELISH!🙂
Ordered the Carne asada fries. The fries themselves could have been deep fried a little better to make them more crispy. But over all they werr very good. They are not skimpy with toppings at all and the Carne asada had a really good flavor. The Avacado salsa is amazing as well. & when I left I was beyond full. Great portions
I've never had bad food here. Their food is always on point. Honestly. Food always hot. Flavor always there. Salsa? Spicy and delicious. Green salsa is mild but also super flavorful. I've gotten tacos, burritos, enchiladas, flautas, and crispy tacos here. All of them as good as the next!
Good taqueria. Two tacos is enough for one person. Nachos are made with real shredded cheese not Nachos cheese sauce...
Yummy food, pleasant stuff. Clean, smells nice. The burritos where not just stuffed with rice. Very juicy, excellent flavors ( went for al pastor).
Food was good Restroom clean Only issue was hearing the my Server talking with another customer saying they don't get breaks and they're made to come to work on New Years Day. Really ruined the atmosphere for me.....besides that everything else was good. Server was too busy saying they will sue the business, but they're having a conversation for over 20 minutes and didn't get my drink I ordered until I asked for it. Food good Service was bad
The food is pretty nice. I go here because of its near work, but given the chance and time.. I'd bring my friend's here. The service is very nice; the staff is quite accommodating. I usually get the wet super burrito. I've gotten the shrimp ceviche once, it was a bit nicer than I expected. Most burrito shops are medium priced now a days. This place is no $5 super burrito back in the days; it's more of a $9 burrito.
Every time I find myself in San Leandro, I refuse to leave before stopping here. The best Chile Verde, I have experienced, yes, the term is experienced. And the sauces are pure Mexico. The staff are always so happy and patient to help me improve my Spanish and exude a warmth that reminds me of my momma when she made us dinner.
I had the fish taco's. They tasted great, this is a small business that has great food.
Best taqueria in the san leandro area
Looks like a Taco Bell. Don’t be fooled. Go inside and order anything. It will be good. Complimentary chips and salsas. Friendly service and your order comes quickly considering it is real food and not a corporate drone factory. Support these guys- they rock!
We eat here (or get to-go orders) at least once a week. So glad there’s a restaurant with this quality, variety, price range, and great service close to our house. I love the tacos, regular or super. Burritos are awesome and rolled right. All the salsa options in the serve-yourself salsa bar are delicious. I’ve been getting the “meat plate” lately because I have a pregnancy-related dietary restriction, and I just love it. Favorite meat choices are currently carnitas and carne asada. I enjoy the chicken too. I’ve had some epic shrimp super burritos here...it’s just all good. My husband’s favorite is the al pastor. We pick up food from here for friends and family when they visit, and we’ve always been satisfied. You can call ahead to place an order, and 9 times out of 10 they’ll pick up and take your order. The 10th time, they’ll let the phone ring because they’re crazy busy. Don’t worry - they’re open! They’re just managing demand as best they can. They take credit cards and cash, and like I said, the service is great. This place is clean, well-stocked, and well-run by smart, efficient, friendly people. 5 stars for reals.
This place has been one I've been wanting to try for several weeks but it is been so crowded. That's really good for the Curiosity. I just went in and had a chicken burrito super size. Oh my God it was amazing. Cannot wait to try other stuff
I had such a fantastic dining experience at this place! The food is delicious but also comes at very affordable prices. And let's talk about the unlimited chips and salsa – they're addictive! But what surprised me the most was their coffee; it's now my favorite here. Yes, you read that right, they serve great coffee too! Highly recommend this spot.
Today (7/25/17) is the first day this restaurant opened. Been waiting a long time for something to replace the old Taco Bell that used to be here. This place is awesome!! I got a carnitas super burrito ($8.95) and my wife got the carne asada fries l($8.95). Both were amazing! And the portions are YUUUUUGE.
EXCELLENT Chili Verde plate. Succulent and juicy tender pork. Hot tortillas. Home made salsas. Yes this is technically “fast food”, but it’s home made and delicious! Obviously a family business. They also have soda and beer. Hats off to the cook.
These $5 quesadillas with asada are delicious. You get sour cream and guacamole and your choice of meat for five bucks. Can't go wrong when you need a snack this is the small so you imagine there are two more sizes larger. They have a full menu of other delicious items
Fantastic food for every meal! What I have ordered has been tasty, filling and reasonably priced. Their condiments bar is always stocked with goods that appear to be fresh and homemade. A go-to place if you are looking for good food made to order that isn't going to break the bank.
Simply fresh and delicious 😋 from Tony Every time I come here I am happy

Really great food and fast service, gets busy during lunch time so order ahead to avoid the long lines
Nice place to eat so it took a long time, but it was okay
This hole in the wall kind of place has Fresh and Authentic salsas and food has continually been delicious.
Love this place! Just wish they were open later

3.5 stars. The lengua and pastor were good. Tacos were very well filled and well proportioned. I will be back to try thier seafood menu. Overall the restaurant was clean and very fast service. I think El Gordo a few miles away is better
Very chill place with really good food and friendly service. Fairly priced, nice portions, and a salsa/chip bar. I loathe having to beg for salsa, so this is very important to me. I have been here a few times, and have found the chile rellenos, chile verde and the flautas to be awesome. Buen provecho!
Really great delicious good food 👌
I was skeptical because the price for 3 flautas was almost $14 for the special, but they were huge and stuffed with Pollo! My husband had one of the biggest burritos I've seen. He's Hawaiian and said the carntias tasted like crispy kula pig! The service was great and the place was very clean! I would've given 5 stars except for it was a little pricey for the "atmosphere".
The food is good, the price is good, the service is good.. when you need to grab something quickly, i recommend La Carreta Taqueria 👌
Loved,loved..their self help warm tortilla chips & salsa station. The staff was pleasant and place clean. I did a pick up order and while I waited helped myself to all the chips I could eat. The beef tongue super burrito wad good. The agua frescas..a little watered down. But would go again.
The food is good. It is your basic run of the meal in and out Mexican restaurant that you would typically find. You have your basic choices from Cameroon Ceviche tostadas, burritos, posole, huevos Ranchero, and much much more. They are very friendly it is a very clean place and they're typically very fast
This place just open and was pretty good. Had the the steak fries and they were load with steak. The food came out quickly and the staff is really nice.

Got the carne asada super burrito. It's fairly large when compared to 3 other taquerias within a mile radius and it costs $1-5 less. All parts of the burrito were well seasoned and it had a decent amount of meat, but the meat was little dry. It could have used the freshness of pico de gallo instead of the splash of pureed salsa it came with. I'll be back to try more items. This location used to be a Taco Bell many years ago. The paint color inside and out might have changed, but the furniture and layout look the same. It looks like a 90s Taco Bell.

This is a small place, perhaps with 1/2 dozen tables, used to be a Taco Bell, but the menu is extensive, I only went in for Menudo and for that I can say the soup is on the bland side, the tripe slightly tough, probably won't go back for this item again. Asked for corn tortilla, got flour instead. Service speed good.
I have eaten here before, and it's been kinda average. But tonight's Burrito was so luke warm it wouldn't even melt the cheese. The beans were crunchy, and the rice was wet and gooey.
Food was OK. Good service. Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessible

Paid $15 for a burrito I didn't really enjoy. Not much flavor at all. The tortilla wasn't even heated up-- it was like they just took it out the stack and threw everything in.
A friend where the Wife works recommended the place so we ordered our test items. A Burrito, Enchaladas and a Taco. The place is clean and smelled good but this is deceptive, I go in seeking Balanced Flavors and Quality/Quantity balance with price. All were met with only One Exception. Flavor and Spice Must Balance with bold fruitiness and Depth created by a Chef knowing how to combine the spices found South of the Boarder, INSTEAD the Chef used a dry heat Serrano and Red Pepper Flakes I could locate in the food BLASTING my tastebuds after the fifth bite! It sounded good but ten bites in I was done, Great Place if you like your food Spicy!

Went in 45 minutes before closing, on my way in the 2 employees were sitting in the waiting area on their phones and they just looked at us with a mug on their face; we could tell they didn’t want to serve us. While ordering, they told me my family and I couldn’t eat our food there. We told them but there’s still 45 minutes before you close it won’t take that long, they didn’t care. We have ate here many times, THE FOOD IS REALLY GOOD . However, the service today was absolutely horrible. The ladies sitting there did not want to work, mind you my daughter was already sitting in a booth just waiting to eat. We decided to take our money elsewhere.

Food was disgusting. Overpriced and no flavor. Do not recommend. This is a fast food restaurant and it shows. Do not mistake this for a sit down restaurant. I should’ve left when I walked inside. Their chips and salsa are self serving from a big bowl. Salsa is bad. They don’t season their meat and I threw away my meal only after a few bites.
Worst service there. I asked for green enchiladas when my plate came they gave me bread I went to the front and asked her I ordered Reagan Chilada’s and she told me I was a liar but I ordered red. I keep on telling her no I ordered green and I asked for the manager he said there is no manager in here today the lady in the front register, kept on, saying I was a liar, the service was very bad today. Never will come back. Emily got a green enchilada. They were horrible. Bad service don’t come.
I’m very disappointed. I always go to this taqueria & never ever had a problem w/ my order. It actually one of my favorites. Today I went in & the lady charged me for an extra burrito that I did not even mention. I told them & they had fixed it. When I come home to check my burrito, it had a lot of salsa which I firmly told her not to add it on my burrito.
The meat had. Zero flavor and tasted very oily. I got asada steak tacos and pastor super burrito. I couldn't finish. The meat was cut small it almost looked graded like short carrot. The steak was gray like it was boiled.
I got a super burrito today and it was cold when I get it when I started eating it the taste was really bad a really bad customer service because I got before some people and I got my food at last I won’t be going back again. I don’t recommend this restaurant.
The service from the person who takes orders over the phone is terrible. Besides getting the orders wrong, the person taking the order should be more polite and experienced. That's why I'm giving them ⭐️one star for the extremely poor customer service they provide when answering the phone. 👎🏼
Worst burrito I’ve ever had it’s like an unseasoned hamburger patty that they put in a tortilla. I don’t think they used one bit of salt in this whole burrito and even their bland salsa wouldn’t help it. I had to throw it away after three bites seeking a refund right now.
Normally, dont leave reviews when i get bad food as i just choose not to go back. So I have been here a handful of times in the past couple of months as it is close to where I work. Was told by coworkers that they had bad experiences here, but i had yet to have one. Fastfoward to MLK day that just passed went with my family to grab a bite on my lunch break. I got carniras and asada tacos. The carnitas were just extra crispy like they had been recooking the meat multiple times. I literally was on the toilet 10xs before i left work and 8 more times when i got home throughout the night as i could not sleep due to the pain and unsettling feeling in my stomach. My stomach was fine before I got there. I will not be going back ever again. The fact that you choose to keep reusing old meat is not a good sign. It looks like i am not the first to mention this. You know what you're serving and dont care. Update: Seen what looked to be a dead Rat 🐀 sitting on their front steps. When I called the restaurant to inform them, they told "yeah ok whatever" like i was lying, and then im guessing when they finally saw it, they just i hear the lady whispering the just hangs up on me.
I ordered a quesadilla and there was hardly any cheese. When I called them they could only exchange it the same day. But I told them my lunch was about to be over if they can give me a credit. They said no and that I can talk to the owner about my situation. Tell me where is the cheese please.😡

The quality of the food has dropped by 99%. Today I had two tacos one Chorizo and one Lengua, The chorizo was raw, and cold, The Lengua with no flavor, no salt watery, gummy, and the tortillas soft like the took them straight from the pakage and didn heat them on the griller. I think the cook worked at a taco truck. The owner may be telling them not to use too much gas to save on expenses. The food was disgusting.
Just ate here. Ordered a carne asada plate. Food came out with a big portion of carne asada was impressive but the meat smelled little bit sour/off. Meat was tough like card board. I took few bites and then I stop eating it. On my way home, I got the diarrhea. Food poisoning? My stomach is tougher than most but this is bad. I hope they stop serving meat that is going bad!
