I’ve heard good things about this sushi restaurant, and I finally had a chance to go there with some friends. We ordered the omakase (16 pieces), which was recommended by my friends. It was absolutely delicious! We didn’t even need to use soy sauce — each piece was perfectly seasoned to match the fish. I really enjoyed the sushi there, and the staff were very nice. I definitely recommend this restaurant!
We found this place on a whim and are so glad we did! It’s tucked away in a little group of shops and only seats limited amount of people at one time. They offer omakase but because we were walk in we ordered off the menu and WOW. Everything was so fresh and delicious. This is a true family/small business, that is, there is limited staff (from where we were sitting there was two sushi chefs and one server) but honestly this gave this place even more charm and made it feel even more special. The wait between items made it feel like each dish was made with care and super fresh and gave us time to have a great conversation and enjoy our sake! If you want to support local and have delicious fresh sashimi and some interesting dishes then I HIGHLY recommend this place. We will back!!
I’ve had a lot of sushi in my life but none that has come close to this. The fish is incredibly fresh, each piece is perfectly seasoned and the flavours and textures are unmatched. Not to mention the black cod miso which we ended up ordering a second because we could not get enough. I look forward to returning!!
We came here for the first time and LOVED it! Very cute and personal inside, and the sushi was fantastic oh my gosh. We ordered the 10 piece sushi and hand roll dish and it came with miso soup that was hot and delicious, and a small salad. We liked the sushi so much we ordered more off the menu, and loved the eel. The service was also quick and our server was so sweet. We will definitely be regulars now!
Great sushi and service. Loved it. Chef worked under Nobu. Has unique items. The Spanish mackerel was the best I have tasted. Seared red snapper was Excellent. Seared fatty tuna with truffles was delicious. Cod sperm snack, baby squid, baby eel all good. $$$
I ordered the Omakase nigiri, and I must say, it’s the most artistic sushi in Torrance. The origin, quality, and craftsmanship are all of a very high standard.
The omakase was delicious and was accompanied with wonderful service. The fish has a distinctly fresh flavor. They had lovely pairings of seafood with various flavors.
My absolute favorite sushi in South bay. The quality and skill are way up there. Perfect for a real sushi connoisseur.
Kurisaki cheff is most famous in LA. You can enjoy fantastic Japanese cusine.

Delicious, classic, simple sushi, with high quality fish and sushi experts. Really enjoyed a menu that focused on simple, classic ingredients. There aren't 100 sushi rolls smothered with cream cheese and other American crap. Instead, it's a simple menu, and each piece of sushi is thoughtfully curated. I could actually fit each piece in my mouth. It's was very well crafted. The perfect little piece of cucumber, a little bit of fish roe. It was really good. Interior is simple with just a few tables and a really sweet server. Dim lighting was appreciated. I'll be back!
it's worth seeking out Kurisaki, probably the best sushi we've had in LA, at least since the 90s when we used to go out to San Bernadino. There's a lot of choice here, delicacies you won't find on menus you might put some blind faith on... The service is super friendly. Next time in LA we will be back.
It was the best sushi I’ve had in LA. We liked it better than a $600 omakase in Ginza.
Very fresh. They pride themselves on freshness. Be sure to eat here. They are amazing. The taste, the service, the people. The second time we went there (months after the first time), they remembered us and asked where our daughter was! The black cod is to die for-- dissolves in your mouth! If I had to choose one food to eat the rest of my life-- their red snapper would probably be it, and I say it every time! Salmon is fantastic. Tuna belly awesome. And like I said-- the servers are so nice and so happy to see you. I would like to see this place full every night. Good for kids too-- they will accommodate and automatically do not put wasabi on kids sushi.
This quality and taste of the sushi is incredible. It melts in your mouth. Someone left a one star review here, because they complained that it is expensive. It does cost more for the freshest fish, and I don't consider this restaurant to be overpriced. We are just very grateful to be able to dine at a place with such high standards.
Best sushi in South Bay! The golden eye snapper was my favorite but everything was so good. And they were wonderfully accommodating for gluten free and service was amazing!
This restaurant is operated by a marvelous wife-and-husband team producing & serving the best sushi in LA County. The environment provides ample privacy between the dining tables amid tasteful music set to a comfortable volume. Make your reservation, prepare yourself for dignified service, and slowly enjoy your meal. (Note: All food allergies are dutifully respected.)
Best sushi in south bay by far. Better than Chitose in my opinion. Can accommodate gluten free as well.
Excellent traditional Japanese dining, specializing in sushi. They also have some tempura dishes and a nice "specials" menu that changes according to market availability. I suggest you make reservations. This is not a sushi restaurant with 20 types of trendy "rolls". I do suggest the spicy tuna and crispy rice starter.

I recommend the shishito peppers.
The food here is fantastic. While there are many sushi restaurants in the area, we wanted to find the best place for high-quality sushi. We found it - the most authentic Japanese restaurant in Redondo Beach. We decided to try the omakase and everything was fresh and delicious. The toro, in particular, was amazing - it melted in my mouth, it was so fatty! Unfortunately, they only seat customers with reservations and it's quite expensive if you're only interested in sushi and sashimi.
I had flashbacks of Tokyo's fish market, Tsukiji when eating here Very fresh fish. Small homey restaurant run by husband and wife, focused on classic sushi and sashimi. Tip: Save room for the house made crème brûlée!
