Ok, right now most places are understaffed but this place is still amazing and I'll tell you why. Yesterday I ordered in the app but by the time I got there it was closed. The manager Brandon was super apologetic about it though it was not his fault. He also gave us cookies because he knew we had a type 1 diabetic child in the car and we are from out of town. He told us to come by next day to redo the order and he did. Top Customer service for sure. Not to mention the chicken sandwich is better than Chick-fil-A's, just my tastes bud's opinion. Thank you so much to the manager and his team for going above and beyond. Thank you thank you thank you
This location always has friendly people. On this last visit, I did have a little issue with understanding the cashier but he was still extremely friendly. My only complaint is the Coke machine. Any place that has those types of machines though are always missing something that you didn't know you wanted till you can't get it... so not their problem.
We love this location! Food is always fresh and good for our weekly visit. One cashier is so kind, but his English is extremely broken. We are all about inclusion, but it is extremely hard for us to understand him. We have to have him repeat himself multiple times. He also has to ask us to repeat ourselves multiple times. He's very sweet but the language barrier is the most difficult I've ever experienced in a public place of business.
My favorite place to eat in my area, the employees are very friendly and make sure my order is always to satisfactory level there great!!
Extremely fast, extremely courteous, extremely delicious. They've managed to become my go-to place for fried chicken, whenever I have the time to make it out here, since it's not the closest one to my home. I've been here several times and they're always smiling and ready to serve. I'm surprised at the number of negative reviews for this location. I suppose it's understandable, as this is still a very new Popeye's, but still... I've come here 7 times, and I've never experienced any issue remotely similar to what everyone else appears to be complaining about. I can say that they had a bit of a rocky start, though. Most of the employees were rather new when they opened, and made a few new-employee mistakes, like getting my price wrong. They were lightning-quick at fixing it, though, and I never had problems after my second visit.
This is my favorite Popeye's location. Food is great and service is fast and professional. Daniel is always working hard and greets everyone with a smile. He goes out of his way to achieve the best customer satisfaction. Thank you sir!

Poor lady was all by herself which caused the dining area to be closed, she had to cook the food, serve all drive-thru customers. I wonder if the staff that was scheduled today called in and left her high and dry. She was doing the best that she could by balancing everything and being quick. The five stars are for her, not the company. Even though it was father's day, I can't believe this company would strain her like this. The outside trash cans were full, so the previous night crew, didn't even care to take care of that themselves. I have been here a few times in the past three months and it seems like the staff is generally lacking customer service skills, forgets things other than the chicken and another manager is not very perceptive and rude. This location needs a purge of employees and hire fresh. Their food is great and I never had a problem with the quality.
I tried the Big Box meal. The two pieces of chicken were cooked perfectly and delicious. The two sides, mashed potatoes and fries were both awesome. A biscuit was included for $6.99, which was well worth for the meal.
I love this Popeyes! It’s soooo clean, staff is friendly and quick! My food is always hot and fresh here. I had a mobile order snafu (my fault) and Daniel took care of it right away with a smile on his face and didn’t rush me. Five stars for Daniel and his whole crew!
Service was quick, and food was delicious as usual. The young lady at the drive-thru window didn't seem to speak English. I was torn about how to feel about it because I'm really happy for her to have a job opportunity despite the language barrier. However, I felt bad for her to have to greet customers and have the uncomfortable experience of not being able to communicate with them. This didn't affect my experience or judgement of the restaurant, but I question management's decision for her role.
The best staff! I haven’t been to Popeyes in a while because the previous staff was just horrible. The new staff is absolutely amazing, super friendly, fast and efficient. My food was good and everything was done right! The Popeyes standard we expect:) I’ll be back. Thank you!!!

Everytime I go to a Popeyes food is always missing from my group or it's the wrong thing! This time I went me and my friend grabbed each others food by mistake but we had the right order so we switched. But they were really polite and fast!
Honestly the best popeyes in TX. Shout out to the young dude who's always holding it down during the late night shifts and hooking me up. FYI, if they ever mess up your order, just let them know and they are happy to make it right (I got extra chicken and an extra biscuit). They're eager to please and make great chicken
I had a missing fries. I was pissed because it tastes so good, and I don’t want to miss it. I just edit one star review back to 5 stars. Mistakes happen all the time, and I can totally forgive it because how tasty the food is. Chicken and fries. Love it!
Our Sienna van overheated so I pushed it into the parking lot. Came back for it later after it cooled off and got it home. Thank you Popeyes for not towing it!
Food was good. Hot and fresh. The staff was great... but the guy taking the drive through orders was on some "dude where's my car" In between mid sentence he kept talking over me. And then........
Food was good. Customer service was okay. Tried ordering mac and cheese and the language barrier prevented me from telling what the person was saying. They basically were almost yelling when they said "no mac and cheese come back tomorrow for mac and cheese".

They no longer serve Cajun Rice, they don't have regular chicken wings only spicy unless you get the boneless. My Mac and cheese was mushy and overcooked. In addition I paid almost $8 for a cup that could only feed one. Popeyes has just lost me.
We love coming here, but they say they are getting rid of basically all the veggie related sides (green beans being our favorite) I don't understand how that's a thing. I know the food isn't healthy, and for us it's a maybe once a month treat, but vegetables even those cooked with bacon are still important. Otherwise they have great service and are really good about not missing anything in the order.
There's nothing inherently wrong or bad about Popeyes. I've been to this location a few times and the service has always been consistent. The food has been consistent. The inside of the store has been consistent. But none of this has been overwhelmingly great. It's a run of the mill fast food chicken place. Nothing special.
I went through the drivethru to get a snack before heading into the carwash. I wanted to try the new macaroni and cheese. The service was quick and friendly and the macaroni and cheese tasted great. However, they charged nearly $4 for THIS??? They didn't even fill up the cup. What's up with that? 🤷🏾♀️
The basic chicken tenders are fairly bland. I guess that's why the special sauce is so peppery. It's fine just nothing special.
I have eaten better chicken from popeyes, but I was hungry enough not to complain. Side order like the slaw was very hoid, so we're the biscuits. 🍚 and 🫘 could have been a little hotter, but it was an easy fix.
Honestly, the chicken is pretty good. My food arrived fairly quickly, and it was hot. When I visited, the credit card machine was down, so I was fortunate to have cash on me at the time. Honestly, this doesn’t happen all the time (having cash that is); so hopefully they get this fixed before I visit next time. The restaurant was fairly clean, although they seem to be using some of the Customer seating area for storage in the middle of the restaurant.
One of the cleaner Popeyes buildings I've been in. The chicken was good, not great. The spicy version wasn't spicy at all compared to other Popeyes. The menu is confusing as usual since the special options are always changing on the screen and there's a lot of options for the same thing. Wasn't told there was a 12 minute wait on chicken tenders so I was just about done with my meal by the time the tenders came in for someone else.
While I love Popeye's spicy chicken, and their biscuits and red beans and rice, their service leaves a lot to be desired. Don't EVER go through the drive-thru at this location. Made that mistake a couple of times. At least if you walk in, you can see how they messed up your order and get it fixed right away. Too many times where they don't mark "spicy" vs. "regular" when ordering for the family, or they forget fries, or wrong size of something. Food is really good though, and the restaurant still feels new and clean- they just need to train their staff better and learn to work as a team.
I know I am behind the times as this was my 1st time to a popeyes but because of my experience, this will also be my last. I went through the drive thru around 5:30pm Friday 9/22. I ordered a 3 piece spicy chicken strip dinner with ranch, mashed potatoes and gravy and an original chciken sandwich with fries, easy. When I pulled up to pay the man working took my payment and then immediately leaned back against the counter and started playing on his phone. He only set it down to hand me my food. This would have been whatever, except my order was wrong, he didnt take the time to make sure the food was correct before handing it to me. When I noticed they had given me beans and rice instead of mashed potatoes I went back. When I walked through the door everyone looked miserable, I explained to the girl closest to the counter what happened and she side eyed the guy who took my payment and then all but rolled her eyes at me as she reached for the correct side sitting under the heat lamps. I offered to give the beans and rice back and thats when the man who took my order finally had some customer service and smiled telling me no, to keep both. Once I arrived home I realized they also had failed to include my ranch. Meaning out of the few items I ordered they got nearly half of it wrong... I could understand if they had been busy (there were 2 cars infront of me and 1 behind when I left and the inside was empty) and their service had been pleasent but when you get the food wrong and your service is seriously lacking its not a good look. The food tasted fine but wasnt worth the hassel. There are too many other places in Austin to eat to ever warrent going here again.
That old New Orleans Popeyes franchise flavorful food is long gone. This new Popeyes chain is why I don't frequent as much anymore. The chicken has less flavor and the red beans and rice tasted watered down. The chicken sandwich is way to salty and I like good seasoned food.
Food was cold, fries were soggy and my order was not given correctly even after I reviewed it with them twice and no reparations were offered upon my having to wait while going back through the drive through with three hungry, tired children. The entire process was frustrating considering the money I spent as a single parent. I am rarely able to afford eating out with my three littles so encountering such a straight fail across the board was disappointing. I have always had such success when purchasing food from Popeyes so maybe we will try again in the future at a different location.
Don’t order uber eats from here unless you got sauce at the house. They forget my sauce like 80% of the time and why does my red beans and rice taste sour Popeyes? Come on now

I agree with other reviewers. It was a challenge ordering because when my order was taken I could not understand what the gentleman taking my order was saying. And when I asked a question, he couldn't understand me at all. I do suggest having an English speaking person to do the drive-thru ordering as it will make the staffs' work easier and speed up the lines. I've not had a wrong order here (my 2nd time here in 3 years) but I have noticed that the chicken burgers have shrunk, not freshly made (I did order after 9pm) with only a little sauce, and the woman who gave me my order looked really angry/upset. I asked for ketchup, which she provided but I realized there were no napkins. The positive is that the fries were crispy and my coke zero was like coke zero. And the staff works hard to provide your food fast. But I do think this outlet needs to rethink their ordering (have an English speaking person), their burgers (freshness/sauce/size) as well as their service in general. Improve this and it will be one of the better Popeyes.
This is consistently one of the worst Popeyes I've ever been to. The food is always lukewarm and soggy. The employees are rude and inattentive. They always forget something or get something wrong. They always give the wrong sauces, which is literally the easiest thing to do right, and they can't even do that. I mean, I ordered a sweet tea and a Coke, and they gave me two diet Cokes with no ice. Literally the second easiest thing to do, and they can't do that right either. I've been to this location probably 6 or 7 times over the years, and I've literally never even had a tolerable experience here, let alone a good experience. It's like they are actively trying to be terrible. The owner and manager of this Popeyes should both be embarrassed and ashamed.
Decent Place but sometimes mess up orders
The Food is usually amazing during the day, horrible past the hours of 9pm. Today I just got Mac n cheese that tasted like it was legitimately boiled in hard mineral tap water…or hose water Strawberry biscuits overcooked, black and brown on the bottom. Rubbery with little to no icing. The service is concerningly questionable depending on the staff working…I’ve been 4 times and 3 of those I got random stuff thrown in my bag. The one time they got it right it tasted concerning to my health more than fast food should…which is obviously crazy. All of the times I requested to get my order fixed..and nicely by the way…I received dirty looks and argumentative conversation. Also there is usually a language barrier somehow, but don’t let that fool you the receipt has always been right but the food always wrong so it’s obviously no excuse. I’m just wondering what’s going on with the hiring process honestly. I’m all for equal opportunity and giving chances but atleast make sure they are mentally equipt for the position. And even after all of this, I’m giving a second chance…hire people who care please. Some of us would like to be regular costumers but this location is making that hard for us. Thank you.
UE Order #3CB01 - blackened ranch not in order - 6 piece parmesan garlic wings were cold and sauce was on one wing only and the bottom of the tray and the other 5 just put on top? - classic chicken was cold and dry and seemed very stale as if it was sitting there for hours before we even ordered - biscuits very cold, dry, and hard - red beans and rice was hot and of normal expected quality -mac and cheese was hot and of normal expected quality - blackened chicken sandwich was of normal expected quality. Fresh and tasty - classic chicken sandwich was warm but stale. It looked like it was fried in old oil and very dark in color and shriveled up as if it was sitting there well before ordered
Order was incorrect. They gave us the wrong drink at first, then gave me a receipt for someone else’s order, and then the chicken tenders were supposed to be classic but they gave us spicy.
Just and update staff cant get any order right any time i went drive trough they can't get it right. They add stuff u didn't order and u don't get stuff that u order. Not sure how fries for side I get hot cinamon apple pie. Also shirmp combo for 7.99 is not worth paying. U get 8 small shrimp. Sprite tastes gross. Really good chicken, staff sometime doesn't get order right.
I used to love the chicken here, I don't know when they stopped caring but it's awful now, I just got delivery and when it got here I found out the chicken was cold and soggy so were the fries, the biscuits which used to be my favorite were hard as a rock, the mashed potatoes had no gravy, nether one of the drinks had ice in them.... I'm just so sad and disappointed especially since I just spent 50 dollars on food I can't even eat
Have visited this location often, generally never a problem. However today, I had multiple orders and wished to cover them by the window as at times orders are incorrect. I was told that I had to give the order at the drive though box. As I didn't wish to do this I started to drive away and was told " I didn't say you could move". needless to say I wont be back, and for future customers please be advised that this isn't the norm, but never the less something to be noted.
I would highly recommend you go elsewhere! Only one employee spoke English in the store. All three of my orders were messed up. The food was cold and had been sitting there. The bathrooms as well as the stores was filthy. Which means I can only assume how clean the rest of the kitchen is.
I watched them make and sell my food three times management told me to wait or take my money and leave I waited 20 more minutes it takes 3 minutes to cook chicken tenders and 15 minutes to cook chicken, person working the cash register initially could not speak English and had to show you examples for communication then it was apparently shift change I saw multiple new employees come in and the young person attempting to prepare to work the register could not count is change in over three attempt? Unacceptable next time I will pay more for good customer service and higher-quality at KFC! Weeks later and I still can't get the district manager or quality control to answer the phone call or accept a message trash from top to bottom it may not be that store fault🤔
In typical fast food fashion, I received regular chicken instead of the spicy I ordered. Of course this is only obvious when you get home 15 minutes later and realize you have $50.00 worth of the wrong chicken and have no desire to spend 30 minutes going back to get the order you paid for, so you eat what you were given instead of what you paid for. Funny thing is even the receipt said spicy, so this was pure lazy stupidity and not something misunderstood.
I had a horrible experience a few months back and vowed to never go back. Well tonight I didn’t cook and decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt (maybe they had a bad night a few months back). Tonight I ordered 3 piece dark with Reb Beans (not spicy) and Rice and I ordered a 2 piece with fries (not spicy). I got old chicken that had clearly been sitting for a while and all of the chicken was spicy, they gave fries instead of Red Beans and Rice. There is not an English speaker in the building and that’s where the problem lies. In order to get our orders right you must first under English well enough to understand the request. GEESH!
Bought 6pc combo with Cole slaw and drink. Total came out to be $11.57. Gave the guy $21.57. Suppose to get back $10.00, instead he was giving me $9.00 back, I told him I should be getting $10.00, and he said no bro it’s $9.00, we went back and forth several times trying to get him to understand. Finally I had show him on my calculator, and then he said sorry bro. The coleslaw I got had a sour smell and tasted sour as well, had to throw it out. Was not happy at all with my visit. This happened on May 26th, 2024 around 9:00pm. Please get your cashiers to pay attention and your food handling fixed.
Ordered through Uber Eats and received my order just fine by the driver. Popeyes needs to get it together though. Ordered two spicy chicken sandwiches and popcorn shrimp. Asked for ranch dipping sauce and never received it. Ordered my sandwiches with bacon and no cheese. Came with cheese. They suck.
The service was horrible! The sandwich was pretty good but I can't get past how terrible the service was. We even did the survey on the receipt and now I'm reviewing here. As the transaction ended, the clerk simply stuck his hand out the drive up window with my receipt and credit card and said nothing. I wasn't sure we were done but I had my food and card back so sat for a second looking at him in the window and finally just drove off. Before that he was hardly any friendlier, but at least spoke.

Abysmal customer service. I've been curious to try Popeye's for a long time. Today I decided to walk to the one near my house, which is about a mile away. I knew beforehand that there were certain restrictions in place on service because of the pandemic. However, I checked both on Google and on Popeye's own website, and both of them said that you could place an order for in-store pickup. So I get to the store and try to place an order on my phone. I called the number for this store three times and nobody answered, so I resorted to ordering on the website. I was having a bit of trouble, and I decided to step inside and ask the lady behind the counter if she could help. What followed was about the worst service I've ever received in a fast food restaurant. She was utterly dismissive of my questions, and didn't seem to want my business or value me as a customer at all. At the end she told me "we're not doing any pickup orders today; only drive-through" despite this being in direct contradiction to their own website. I've since called the corporate offices to lodge a complaint. It's disheartening when you go so far out of your way to try something new, only to be treated so coldly. I might expect this kind of treatment in New York, but this is Texas for crying out loud. If you can't even bring yourself to pretend to care about your customers, you shouldn't work in the customer service industry.
This was the worst!! When our food was delivered to us we noticed it didn't have all the chicken pieces. We touched and moved them by hand to see if they were underneath. We told the waitress. The waitress picked it up and took it to another customer. AFTER WE TOLD HER WE HAD TOUCHED THEM. No one spoke english. The area where the condiments were was dirty and no napkins available. Stop in this afternoon to grab some food and made an order through drive thru. One part of the order, the Cajun rice, wasn't even in the bag. At the window asked for ranch it wasn't in the bag. Order a 2 piece with the 1.75 breast substitute and there were no breast. So pull around to go in an get the order straight, and 2 women in the parking lot were telling me how both there orders were wrong. I can over look the order being messed up as long as they make it right. What I can't over look is when I went to get the order fixed I was told by the guy bagging the food that I should have told them what I wanted then when I replied I did tell what I wanted and it was still wrong he stated well that ain't what it said on my screen and that I should of checked the screen at the drive thur and I explained it wasn't working. He continued to be rude and disrespectful.
Just stop at this store in Cedar Park Tx for the first time. Went inside to order and studied the menu for a minute and ordered. I was served by two, somewhat angry young women that were frustrated that I could not accurately communicate what I wanted for sides. Their second language was English, which is fine but don't scorn me because I was struggling to understand. I smiled and told them I would go somewhere else and they seemed happy!
Ordered 10 pieces and received only 8! Called to tell them they screwed up and they said we can go in to get the two pieces. I told them the drive would not be worthwhile. Do check before you leave the premises, if you ever patronize this place. Our 2nd time and they screwed up again. Additionally, everything from fries, rice and beans and chicken were cold. Hugely disappointing. Definitely not coming back. Mr Jose Galvan, district manager, what are you going to do about all the poor reviews?
I’ve ate here maybe 20 times in my lifetime. 15 of those I got the wrong order and the rest the food was old and lukewarm. What made me write this review was my most recent visit where the fries were disgustingly old and soggy like they had been put into a microwave. I will never eat here again.
I ordered for delivery, the food was delivered to the wrong house. I contacted online to notify them of the issue, all I could get was a robot. Nothing has been resolved, the online support and corporate team are unresponsive. Very disappointed! I have eaten Popeyes for 30 years, I will never again because of my experience recently. Terrible online customer service!!
Went through the drive thru. I asked for a spicy sandwich. The receipt had me down for a classic sandwich. They gave me a blackened sandwich. On a previous visit I asked for a biscuit with my order and did not receive one, yet was still charged for it. The blackened sandwich was chewy and bland. Fries were not as crispy as they should have been. Will not return unless service improves drastically.
Well, I have to change my review from over a year ago & the last several times I've been here have been terrible. My chicken wasn't what I ordered & it was cold smdh. This new crew of people is terrible, I liked the old crew way better. It's like people take no pride in their work..
DO NOT EAT HERE! Recently moved out here. We thought let's grab a quick bite at popeyes. Having nothing in the new house to eat, why not. Ordered food for the family. Eating at the house my infant got some mashed potatoes. I always try first anything I give her. She is just over a year old. As I tried the second bite of the mashed potatoes I felt something hard. I pulled whatever it was from my bite. It was a shard of metal. Almost like a staple. My wife was furious that we almost gave that to our infant. And threw the rest away. I contacted Popeyes the next day via the website (got no response from the location itself). It was pointless. The website had me upload photos and more about the issue. Without ever letting speak to any live person. The next day I received an email stating that they are unable to assist me in my issue. Due to no photos of the item. When I did in the first place. Then I get another email stating they will pass it to the franchise and if they choose to contact me they might. Or they will address the issue without contacting me. How are you going to resolve my issue without contacting me? This even went to a "manager" on the Popeyes web site chat (the only way you can speak to a live person by the way). And I got the same response from them. "We will address the issue and we may or may not contact you further to resolve. ". I gave up at that point only to realize customer service is dead. And the all mighty dollar is king. They value the next sale over earning repeat business. This is the reason me and my family do not eat fast food. Take your business and money elsewhere. Other places are more than happy to show how they earn your business as opposed to take it for granted. Waste of money and time.
This sucks, because I love the chicken. Had to repeat my order 4 times, two times at the speaker and two times at the window . I speak Spanish (so no language barrier) and explained what we wanted because I had the feeling they didn’t understand what we were saying at the speaker. I was told the order was already done, which was wrong and had us waiting for more than 20min because they messed up. Please Popeyes , you need to hired more people who actually wants to work and are willing to provide good customer service.
Absolutely never go to this restaurant. We went to this location tonight to pick up some food for the family after I had gotten off work. We noticed some cars waiting out front (and now that I think about it, their order was probably wrong too) and wondered what they were doing. We get up to the line and tried to order. The person over the speaker was very hard to understand as it sounded like he didn't speak much English. That isn't really his fault but combined with the very poor sounding speaker, made for a difficult order experience. Well whatever, when we asked him to read our order back, it sounded correct. At least somewhat. We get up to the window and pay for our food. I was sitting in the passenger seat and checked out food when we got the bag. Found the spicy chicken sandwich we ordered with the fries, found something that looked like a surf and turf box, and a surprise 3 piece chicken and a missing chicken sandwich with fries. I took the order back in and told the same guy that took our order that it was wrong and explained what was wrong. Turns out the guy next to me at the counter also had a wrong order. When I said out loud to the guy that I had a 3 piece that I didn't order, another duo waiting in the lobby said that was probably the 3 piece they were missing. He had already thrown out the food to restart the 3 ORDERS that were wrong so it was too late. After waiting about 10 minutes for a new order, the same guy that took my order had brought me a new bag and began to read me my order back. He started off with "2 classic chicken sandwiches-" and I cut him off there to correct him that we should have one spicy and one normal that we had ordered. I didn't even hear what he said to me as he spoke quietly and with his thick accent but one sandwich bag had a c on it so I just went with it. I am just amazed that he was already getting the order wrong a second time when he tried to get it right. I check the rest of the bag and the receipt and it was STILL WRONG. We were missing our surf and turf box and we had a 3 piece tender we didn't order! How is it possible to keep messing this up?? I called him back over and told him I still needed a surf and turf and he said it would be a few minutes. I was ready to give up at this point and just waited for the box. The box had 4 tiny pieces of ship and two tiny tenders. After we got it we finally just left, unhappy and frustrated. To finish up this review, I just have to question what the management is doing at this location. Have they just given up here? This location has 3.3 stars on google maps at the time of reviewing this with the one star category being a large portion of the reviews. In the reviews that I did scroll though I was unable to find a single owner response to any of the concerns similar to mine or any other problems like cold and dry food that comes out of this Popeyes. Are the managers here just trying to ignore and wait for the problem to go away naturally? If the managers really did care they would work to fix the problems here and work on their staff to train them properly to avoid all these issues everyone has in the future. I can understand if these issues are a rare occurrence due to a simple mistake but every single time I go here, my order is wrong and hardly gets fixed properly. Food was cold, at least it tasted decent. Never going to this location again. And you shouldn't either until either management gets their act together or a wave of competent staff starts working here.
On July 3, 2024 I dined in and ordered 3 chicken legs. Two of the legs were dried out and the breading on the chicken was tasteless. There were boxes stacked in the dining area and two of the tables that were previously occupied had not been cleaned. There was water on the floor in front of and in the mens restroom. The restroom needed cleaned. The handle on the commode was missing and the cover for the commode had been removed. Overall a very unpleasant dining experience. I will not return to that location.
I'm furious about the terrible service at the Cedar Park location. Every single time I've been there, it's been a disaster! Rude workers who can't be bothered to look at customers, messed-up orders constantly - it's unacceptable! The only thing that’s consistent with this Popeyes location is their bad service, no one seems to care about it either not even management. Tonight, I tried to avoid the drive-thru mess by going inside, but I was told they can’t do split orders in the lobby and that I had to go through the drive thru! This is ridiculous! I went through the drive thru, and sure enough they messed up my order. Not only that they charged me for an order but I didn’t received , so I came back around and re-ordered, and never even brought up that they charged me already, because I knew it would be a headache trying to get my money back. I suggest going to the Popeyes in Crystal Falls (Leander) location because this one has been terrible for the last two years. I'm done wasting my time and money at Popeyes. They need to get their act together, and fast!
Worst experience i asked for dark meat only in the drive thru and repeated myself at the window because I thought the women taking my order didn't understand well she didn't and didn't speak English none of the staff did I had to google translate and then they told me I would have to wait 16 minutes just so they could give the dark meat to other customers and have me wait, how can you run a business and no one speak English never coming here again, and when I got my food it was still wrong and OLD!!!!! What the hell happened to customer service
If I could give you 0 Stars I would .This used to be my favorite location. Until the experience I had on March 6th at around 8:30pm. I parked walked in I was super hungry. Mind you I am a Store manager at a local store close to this location. I figured I was just going to eat my meal an have a great night. Not the experience I had. I waited in line at first for about 5 minutes I noticed many things that we're going on that as a manager myself put me at an unease. I noticed that there was one younger teenage girl with pink hair in the front running the register that did not know what she was doing. I noticed that the lady with the pink hair was having an issue with a customer at the register. She said well hold on a second I need to get my manager. As she walk to the back to grab the keys the manager said something to her as she was in the back mixing gravy and making up mashed potatoes with gravy. Obviously she was too busy to help her employed. She Completely ignored her employee the girl with the pink hair that was running the register as she said she needed help. I noticed that the employee figured out what she needed to do to help the the customer without the manager. It seemed like the (Manager) she was too busy to help. At that time I had also noticed the African American young man was talking to someone that had a to-go order and had mentioned to the guy with the to go order that some of his orders of chicken weren't ready and if they could substitute it for something else. I noticed he had asked this customer three times for substitution of the chicken he had already ordered. Which made this customer very frustrated angry and uneasy I noticed. Once again the manager was too busy to help. Because they were out of everything. I had then stood in line for almost 15 minutes without anyone even acknowledging me or saying hi or trying to take my order. Another customer in line made the comment that there were more people working behind the counter at the restaurant then there were people standing in line .There were about eight employees working half of them standing around. The manager was too busy to help anyone or even acknowledge anyone. Obviously the manager of this location does not care about the service of her customers or acknowledge or help her employees or even acknowledge their existence. I at this time after waiting 20 minutes in line behind about 5 other people that had not been acknowledged or talked to and no one had taken their order. I left and headed to the other location on Old 183 where I had a great experience! I will never be back to this location due to the horrible customer service. And it's called fast food why would I go to a fast food restaurant to wait 20 minutes in line.
The cashier asked us to wait extra minutes for fresh fries and still gave us cold dry fries. Waste of money! The sandwich and fries both were bad.
I hate that I even have to write this, but I just had the worst drive-through interaction I've ever experienced. It's Saturday evening and I just dropped my daughter off at a friend's house. I don't often go to this Popeyes because it's a little far from the house, but I was in the neighborhood and thought it'd be a nice treat to bring some chicken home. Somehow I ended up having an argument with a drive-through speaker. That's never happened to me before. It went something like this: I got to the speaker and said "I'd like a box of all dark meat, legs & thighs with biscuits. What are my options?" The guy on the other side was like "What do you want? You want a family meal? You want a number 4?" I looked at the menu and it wasn't clear that a "number 4" was all dark or mixed or whatever, so I basically asked the same thing. I just wanted a box of legs & thighs between 8 & 12 pieces. Somehow I wasn't speaking proper menu code and the dude was clearly getting upset that I was saying "I just want a box of dark meat chicken with or without biscuits; what sizes does that come in?" I never even got to the part about wanting a large cajun fries. This bums be out because Popeyes is my favorite fast fried chicken. We lived in NOLA for about 5 years and Popeyes doesn't get any better than it is in New Orleans. And the service is 1000% better and friendlier than what I just dealt with 30 minutes ago. I'm not saying I won't go back to that location. It's literally the only Popeyes within about a 30 minute drive of our house. But it's a huge drag that what should have been a treat, turned into a fight and made me leave the drive-through lane without purchasing anything. Not even those cajun fries I really wanted. Still, I have food at home, so it's fine. I guess I'll go cook some dinner. ------------------- As a follow-up, definitely try the Chili Crisp Shrimp at Panda Express. It's awesome. The evening wasn't a total loss.
The food wasn't good, not like it used to be. Got the boneless bundle and didn't get the tenders that were supposed to come with it, the fries were soggy and luke warm / cold, I asked for the 1/4lb popcorn shrimp with 2 tenders and didn't get those tenders either. The popcorn shrimp were warm, not a crispy layer and fries were cold. Didn't go back for the tenders, wasn't worth the drive in the traffic to go.
Ordered DoorDash for lunch, had delicious Spicy Chilpote wings. Very crispy, and perfect heat on them as well. We decided to order some wings again for dinner, this time ordered the Garlic Parm, what a mistake! Soggy, lukewarm and covered with a thick, gross white sauce! Should be more of a rub, with garlic and parm at the end, similar to lemon pepper, they were drenched!! One bite and both orders went in the garbage, very inconsistent and very disappointing to say the least! Do not recommend!!
I went in for a reorder. First one was totally screwed up. Second try French fries were like they sat there all day. The chicken was dry and cold. I will never go back there. This is the fourth time it happened. Food was inedible.
Ordered thru drive thru a big box chicken tenders meal. Paid $10.85. Got home didn't gave fries and the tenders were 3 small like my little finger and tuff to chew! The biscuit was hard as a rock on the bottom and 2 sides of mac & cheese was gummy and dry. After a busy day off work too bring this terrible meal home I will never go here again! I called spoke to a man could hardly speak English and he was not helpful & didn't offer a refund or to make it right. If you go thru the drive thru CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU DRIVE AWAY!! IF NOT...YOUR SCREWED BY POPEYE'S!
The fish was definitely not the juicy filet of fish I expect in a Popeye’s fish sandwich. The filets we got in two sandwiches were flat, dry, burned, and tasteless. We would have done better with a McDonald’s fish sandwich. Such a disappointment. The one star is for mashed potatoes and gravy which is always a winner.
Ordered the 3 tenders with French fries and a drink. Got 6 bone-in wings, a few fries, no biscuit. Couldn’t get a Coke cause it said unavailable so I threw the cup in the trash. Instead got a drink from Q T. Just now got home and tried to eat but only ate a little of 2 bone-in wings. Threw the rest away. Will never go back.
Said there policy was one buffalo sauce per order mean while it’s me and my partner… so we had to pay out of pocket for an extra sauce. What in the world !? Kinda outrageous.
The service was terrible We asked for extra dipping sauce, but they charged us for it
Went here specifically asked if they had the fnaf stuff they said yes we paid then didn’t even get the fnaf cup it was a 30 minute wait and others were having problems too
Horrendous speed of service, Horrendous accuracy of order. No phone number for location so you can not file a complaint. "Alma Villanueva" is the Director of Operations. Shame on you for not doing a better job of helping these employees at this location. SHAME ON YOU for not providing an outlet/phone number for customers to reach you to air their complaints and being a solution seeker. You are an absolute horrific District Manager.
This location is not the greatest to eat at. The fries tasted like old oil and the chicken tender strips We’re so thin, definitely not worth the money.
I ordered the 5 pc chicken strips meal on Aug 28th at 9:45. For the life of me I couldn't understand the worker taking my order. He could barely speak English. I just gave up selecting a beverage and got water, I gave up trying to understand the sauce options I asked to have listed to me. I didnt even get asked what sauces I wanted and no straw was given. It was disappointing.
Ordered a 6 piece ghost pepper chicken wings a la carte. Was given regular wings instead. When I went to tell them that they messed up my order, they insisted that my order was right. I tried telling them that they were wrong but they didn't budge even after pointing to the ghost pepper wings on the menu cause there was a visible difference. The ghost pepper wings should be orange/red in colour however mine weren't. I'll leave a picture below for you to judge. Are the wings shown below regular or ghost pepper? The problems didn't end there. They said no refund even if I give the wings back. So I ate them anyways and that was a big mistake. They were cold. Not warm, not hot but cold. I didn't know Popeye's was in the business of selling food cooked hours/days before serving. They even tasted disgusting. They were unseasoned (not even salt and pepper.) I tried eating with ranch since I was hungry but I basically threw the rest of the wings in the trash before taking a picture of them. 30 minutes later and I have this awful stomach ache. Never coming back here again. Thanks for ruining my day.
One and done…. Went to this location and the order was not correct. I ordered a 6️⃣ piece wing meal for a total of $11.03. These are more like nuggets. The biscuit was not fresh and the soft drink was flat. I assume they counted the BIG wing as two, because clearly it’s only five. Requested BBQ sauce and got 2 random choices. I did request to change them and they did. Called the store and no one answered- even though I saw four people working. In hindsight it is/was raining which is the ONLY reason I did not turn around to replace the meal for a fresh meal. I now see why Popeyes is slipping in the food industry- poor service and food is meh. Do better with food and service. This review is based off my experience and after reading others-TRUTH.
Not Only did Popeyes forget my shrimp, my nuggets was cold as ice! The line was not long, the lobby was not open so I don’t understand why fresh food is such a challenge! I just pick up my food from the window, I should not be able to hold HOT NUGGETS in my hand!!!!! “WTH re-drop old shrimp or Popeyes need to change the grease”
Edit: this restaurant has horrible service. They closed an hour early on Friday night and didn't give me or the other drive-thru customers a reason, even after we had been waiting in line for 10 minutes. I went inside on Sunday and they were clearly struggling to handle the dinner service. At times no one was making sandwiches. The station stood empty for 7 minutes. No one was making orders. There were customers standing in the lobby waiting for orders and a long line of drive-thru customers but the staff was overwhelmed and at times almost seemed to give up. They definitely need more support from management. I waited in the lobby for a to-go order for 22 minutes, which is unacceptable. Great meal deals: $5 gets you chicken, sides, and a yummy biscuit. They also have a great dessert that's like an empanada that has cherry and cream cheese inside! My son had a little family birthday party and the associates were very nice about everything.
