Great food! The alligator and duck were excellent! Bon appetit! They have a bar inside to order drinks. The vibe in this place was amazing. It was good that there wasn’t too many people inside considering that everything is close together. In addition, it’s a good restaurant to host family gathering or birthday dinners.
Lucky was such an amazing server! She always made sure we had everything we needed and more. I ordered a ginger martini, carnivore charcuterie board, and the steelhead trout. Everything tasted phenomenal. We will absolutely be back.
We had such a great experience at Nolias! We went for the NYE tasting menu, the food was amazing. The service was BEYOND!!!! All of the staff was amazing and a special shout out to Armando for being so attentive. The whole vibe in Nolias is wonderful, from the art work to the plants all around. There was an amazing DJ playing both acoustic guitar and singing as well as mixing music. All around, such an amazing night.
Such a fantastic experience with great food, I will definitely be coming back!! The house manager greeted us at the door and checked in on us several times. My spouse and I were celebrating my birthday, and the staff left a very thoughtful birthday card on our table with all of the staff's signatures! ❤️❤️ Such a touching thoughtful gesture!! All the food was DELICIOUS!!! My favorite was definitely the blackberry flatbread, they for sure sent out the best for last. The gumbo (jambalaya? I forget which one) was seasoned and spiced so perfectly, and I've never had a crab cake this good in Denver before. Highly recommend, definitely get a reservation.
Great food! Great service! Great atmosphere! This place is amazing! Make sure to make reservations because this place has become very popular and fills up fast!
Absolutely stellar service from Lindsey! While traveling I was looking for a place to decompress and have a lowkey evening, and Nolia did not disappoint. From the first drink to the last bite, my experience was perfect, and the bartender, Lindsey, provided phenomenal service the entire time.
I am grateful that we decided to come out to try Nolia. We will be back again! The restaurant is a little smaller than I expected, but had some great seating outside. The staff were friendly and everyone had great things to say about the food. We started with blackberry flatbread, it was excellent, sweet and had great flavor 10/10. We also had the gumbo, which was good 7.5/10, also flavorful. We had both the Caesar 9/10 and pear salad 8.5/10. I really thought the dressing on the pear salad was wonderful. For side dishes we had the green chile cornbread, with really great cream cheese 8/10, it was a little dry but had great flavor. The carrots were another winner, paired well with the goat cheese 10/10. For the entrees my partner had the short rib bolognese 7.5/10 and I had the crab stuffed rainbow trout special 8.5/10. For dessert we had both the cannolis 8/10 and the winter spiced carrot cake 9/10. The carrot cake was a better dessert and we loved the cream cheese that was on it. If there was any drawback it was that the cake felt a little dry but the topping helped with that. All in all it was a great meal. We are very happy with our choice to come here. Our meal took a long time, we were there over 2 hours. The place was empty when we arrived but got filled up as the evening moved on. It took a long time for our entrees close to 45 minutes, but I am not going to hold that against them. The service was friendly but they could have come over a little more frequently. We look forward to coming back again soon.
Celebrated my besties 40th here last night. Everything was divine. Lindsey and Lou were on top of everything. You can tell that they truly wanted us to have a great time. I wish I took more photos. Everything we ate was immaculate.
Okay so you have to watch for emails to see all the seasonal specials. the star of all of our visits are the charcuterie options. They have an unlimited amount of charcuterie and we love the chefs special when we go. I will say the boiled crawfish during crawfish season was not worth getting. There was no seasoning so I’d try somewhere else or just be prepared to season when you get home and peel them. Outside of the crawfish, everything has always been fabulous. Just ask your server what they think is best special for that day and you won’t be disappointed!
Dropped in with my lady friend and everything was stellar!Lindsey was such a delight, truly a breath of fresh air!The ambiance was comforting and we felt right at home. Thanks to all for a great experience!
What a beautiful place to spend an evening! The food was beautiful and tasty. The people were delightful and we left very happy.
This is a new-ish "hidden gem". The food is exquisite and so needed here in the South Metro. The menu is innovative and fun. Prices are extremely reasonable and we really like the Chef/owner, whom we met dining there. Try the charcuterie also . Great date night spot. Live music, winemaker dinners, and patio parties in the summer!
We just found our new favorite place to eat — and wow, what an experience! The food is absolutely incredible. We ordered the burrata, crab-stuffed shrimp, artichoke hearts, yukon potatoes (french onion sauce is amazing), steak with crawfish oscar, lamb chops, and finished it all off with the BEST pistachio cannolis we've ever had. Every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Cocktails were spot on and the wine selection is outstanding. The service? Impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between fun and intimate — ideal for date nights, special occasions, or just treating yourself to a great night out. If you haven’t been here yet, go. You won’t regret it. This place is a true gem — 10 out of 10, hands down!
We had a great time celebrating BD in this charming restaurant! The food is excellent, the portions were very small, but so delicious. Each and every component was just wonderful. The service was nice, even though there were a couple of mistakes with our orders, they were correated fast. I like the complimentary glass of brut! We certainly will come again, it will be especially nice to visit in winter, to enjoy tropical environment, with plenty live plants and murals on all the walls.
Lindsey was awesome. Her recommendation of the Artichoke Heart confi was amazing. So tasty. Thanks Lindsey
Tremendous selection of small and larger dishes to share. Every one of those we tried was excellent and there were so many other selections that returning is a must. We had a pasta bolognese, steak tartare amazing olive dish and one of the best crab cakes I have had anywhere. The piece de resistance was an amazing Apple tartin. I am Sold on this jewel!
What a wonderful experience! Walked in thinking we could get drinks and a charcuterie board but got distracted by the tapas and didn't look back! Loved the variety and everything was superb. Definitely one of the best old fashioned's I have ever had (that coming from a person that is from Wisconsin). The pear/brie dish was definitely the star! Would love to come back with a bigger group so I can try more food 😀
Amazing experience and delicious food at Nolia!!! The wine pairing experience was lovely — dinner was a balanced mix of veggies, seafood, and meat, and the wine chosen paired excellently with each dish. Fantastic experience with great company! Excited to return and try the a la carte menu as well.
They catered my event, and did a killer job. Especially loved the crab cakes and Beef wellington bites. Great Old Fashioned as well.
We went for the murder mystery night and loved every minute of it. Lindsey, who some originally suspected her character as the main suspect of the night, was amazing and attentive throughout the night. Her character wasn’t the suspect. 😉We love her and Nolia is sure lucky to have her. ❤️ I would come back for sure!
Lindsey was our server and she’s exceptional. Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. If you are looking for a completely unique dining experience, this is definitely a perfect choice. We will 100% be back!
This restaurant clearly comes from a place of passion. The atmosphere is a relaxed change from the suburban area it resides in. I ordered the chicken and dumpling, it was amazing! The price is definitely warranted if eat in a restaurant in New York it would easily be double in price. The food is from scratch including the desserts. I will definitely be back with my partner in the future.
Nolia is a must visit! The Louisiana-inspired food never disappoints, especially the charcuterie boards, crab cakes, gumbo, and Château Briand! Absolutely delicious! The cocktail list is super creative, and I was served by Jade, who made it an even better experience!
Had a great time at Nolia. A bunch of different plates were ordered to share and honestly everything was really good. The butter-seared tiger shrimp & grits, Louisiana crab cakes, and the truffle & mushroom cannelloni were the favorites. The seasonal burrata was a perfect start, and the warm mixed olives & almonds were great to snack on while everything came out. We also built and customized a charcuterie board, and it was awesome having so many options to mix and match. The drinks were great as well. The inside is beautiful and cozy and the whole place just feels really put together. The service was awesome and our server Lucky was great. Definitely coming back.
I have been coming here for years and I love your place, Lily! Today I came in for happy hour at the end of a hard day, and I just loved the casual but peaceful atmosphere I felt. It was perfect! Paulina served me and she is the sweetest thing, and Jade conducts herself with the most Zen energy, i’m sure I just weirded her out by watching her. Thank you always for such a wonderful experience and great food and wine!!! ❤️
Amazing local discovery! Menu is full of amazing finds uniquely crafted with new items every week! Chefs passion for amazing cuisine shines in these dishes. Lindsey has an uncanny knowledge of the menu, beverage pairing, and recommendations all while ensuring classy comfort. Service from the bar to the table is top notch - knowledgeable, friendly, foodies.
From the description of this place on their website I thought it looked interesting and different from the usual suburban restaurant fair. I was very pleasantly surprised that it far exceeded my expectations! The food is exceptional! We tried several of the dishes. The crabcakes are moist, tender and actually taste like crab! The shrimp and grits is delightful and the Châteaubriand is absolutely amazing! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel at home! Atmosphere is cozy and welcoming!Prices are very reasonable for what you get in today's dining world, especially since you won't find many places this good at any price!! If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Certainly not what I expected in a strip mall in the suburbs but believe me, it is well worth the visit!
There is a fixed menu and a rotating menu that changes pasta and entrees weekly starting on Tuesdays. It’s all very good and a great place to go if you want great ingredients with normal portion sizes. Staff is all friendly and very helpful with a variety of wines and cocktails to try. There is even a great non-alcoholic cocktail menu too for those that don’t partake. This is a weekly stop or at least menu check in our dinner rotation. Paulina, Kate, and Lucky were behind the bar the night of this review but they are all phenomenal.
Just visited with my partner – A+ service and outstanding food. The atmosphere was perfect. Feels like those upscale “hole-in-the-wall” European gems in Manhattan. My Black Cod was perfectly sourced and cooked to perfection. Our waitress was exceptional, prices more than reasonable for the quality. Will definitely be back!
This place is a gem! From the scratch cooking down to the local artwork on the wall. There just isn't another place of its kind. My boyfriend and I went here for a date night and it was the perfect vibe for our special night out.The staff are incredibly hospitable and kind. Lucky took great care of us. We started with the reserve board, which was delicious and beautiful. I had the lamb ossobuco and it was incredibly juicy and tender. I would highly recommend and we will be back again. Thanks Nolia!
Lovely evening getting wine and appetizers during happy hour. Our waiter, Armando, was courteous and patient in describing the menu and wine options. Will definitely be returning for another impromptu date night.
Nolia is without a doubt my favorite local restaurant. The service, the food, and the wine list are all absolute tops. Many times I've been sitting at the bar while Lily (the owner / chef) makes the menu for the next week. Which is another amazing and rare thing, the cuisine is constantly changing, but some staples are consistent - don't sleep on the gumbo or any variant of the duck confit. Nolia also hosts the most amazing special events, never had a bad experience at any visit. Also happy to say they are very LGBTQ+ friendly!
We had an amazing first visit to Nolia! Stopped in late without a reservation and got lucky with a table. Lou was a fantastic server - friendly and attentive. Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully done. We loved the Gumbo, Shrimp & Grits, parsnip soup, and bacon-wrapped figs. The chef even stopped by our table, which made it feel extra special. Great date-night spot and a true hidden gem. They rotate pastas and specials every Tuesday, which we'll give a try next time.
Always an excellent experience! Food is top notch whether it's their everyday menu or one of their tasting menu experiences. And the service is 2nd to none. Their floor manager, Lindsey, always offers exquisite service herself on the floor or behind the bar, and she runs a great team every time time in! Highly recommend this place!
The food was to die for, on top of that Lucky our server made the entire experience perfect. The food came out in a timely manner, she checked on us frequently, and her suggestions were spot on. Will definitely come back and ask for Lucky. Love the vibes of this place!
First time here and we were greeted by friendly staff and bubbles! This place is a hidden gem. We tried a few of their tapas for date night and everything was absolutely amazing. Definitely get the artichoke. Cant wait to come back for another date night and try more on their menu
absolutely great. we had date night here and the food was fantastic and our server Lucky was the best. super attentive and friendly. and super knowledgeable! we had a couple questions about the menu and she was a great help. i recommend. :)
Just left Nolia’s New Year’s Eve 5 course dinner! Such an amazing place to spend NY’s eve! Food was outstanding! Service was imbecile! Couldn’t have ask for a better place to spend a wonderful time to ring in 2026! Love the owners of this great locally owned restaurant! I live in lone tree, why can’t we get these types of restaurants in our city? I’ve been going to this restaurant when it was called “dig n eats! Let’s support local restaurant entrepreneurs!
I need to put all the negative reviews to bed. I read them before coming, and the biggest complaint seems to be that food is served at different times. As soon as we sat down and ordered, the staff clearly explained that this is a scratch kitchen—meals come out when they’re ready, not all at once. This wasn’t shocking or surprising at all because they told us exactly what to expect upfront. The people complaining clearly have unrealistic expectations. The food was absolutely amazing. Every waiter, hostess, and staff member we interacted with was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. And the medium-rare chateaubriand? Perfection—cooked beautifully and full of flavor. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt and try this place for yourself. We’re very glad we did!!!
Came for brunch one weekend. They offer their entire menu plus some special brunch items. Service was excellent, atmosphere is a bit crammed and food was decent. Click on photos to see what we ordered.
I was so thrilled when I found out about this place. I was even more excited to try it. The owners are from Louisiana, and I was craving some southern cuisine! Upon entering we were greeted with a cava toast, which was light and refreshing. My friend and I decided to split a charcuterie board. They had so many choices, and you can even build your own. It was exquisite! For the main course, I got duck confit, and she got beef carpaccio. My duck confit was one of the best duck entrees I have ever had. I was so impressed! The sweet potatoes & asparagus paired so well with the dish. The ambiance was very subtle & pleasing to the senses. I was very surprised. Our service was impeccable. We were waited on, hand and foot! Def give this restaurant a try.
A kind waiter seated us without reservation. Atmosphere is nice. The platter was good. The snapper was very bad. No taste (no salt/pepper. No lemon. No herbs no nothing) and its belly was not cleaned. Served with rice mixed with ham? When you think a fish dish, you don’t want to see meat in that plate. They forgot to bring my drink . For $100, I’d expect a better service and great quality food.
I love southern cooking and was excited to try out this fusion of European with a south Louisiana influence. The Good: Loved how they poured you a small taster of sparkling wine when you sit, that was a unique touch. We arrived early and they were able to get us seated right away. The waiter was very personable. Wife loved her espresso martini, and I was happy with their selection of wines. The cup of gumbo was absolutely delicious! The Bad: We tried the caprese appetizer and while it was fine, what was served just didn't warrant the cost of $14 (and this was the happy hour price), though other dishes seemed to be more appropriately priced. The service had gaps, but there was a noticeably long wait between the appetizer/soup and when the entrees arrived. So much so the waiter made a lighthearted joke about it after the fact. The atmosphere is relaxed though, and not a place you would really visit if you were in a rush, so it was forgivable and we never felt totally neglected. The Ugly: We were told we had to try the Chateau Briand, so both of us ordered it. While each was cooked to perfection, it had been salted beyond ruin. It would have been no different if someone had physically rolled the meat through a pile of salt before cooking it. I'm talking physical discomfort after the fact. I don't know if this was an accident in the kitchen or what, but both of us agreed it was borderline inedible. The potatoes, tomatoes, and accompanying sauce were all incredible though, and had the steak not been over seasoned it would have been 5 out of 5. We would have considered sending it back to try something else had it not taken 45+ mins to arrive at our table. It's hard not to provide a harsh rating when the main course was a thumbs down, but we otherwise enjoyed the experience and would likely try other entrees in the future and amend our review if the experience improved.
Food was okay but not impressive, several dishes such as the carpaccio and shrimp came with large prices of toast too big for the rest of the dish. For the price point, the place should be changing plates regularly, offering fresh cutlery, and offer a quieter ambiance. The pear and arugula salad was nice, and the lamb shank was good
This place is the real deal! The vibe is incredible, the walls are painted beautifully and there are lots of well tended to plants. Our server was great and offered us complimentary champagne or cider, which we loved. The prices are great (much cheaper than average Denver prices for what you're getting) and the menu options are plentiful, creative and diverse. They have weekly specials that change all the time and almost limitless charcuterie board options, so there's something for everyone. It's honestly shocking how good of a time we had here, it's one of the best experiences I've had in a restaurant in all of Colorado. Edit: came in for a second time to try the crab leg special, paid $24 for a bite and a half of food. I get that fancy food is typically in smaller portions, but this felt outright egregious. I came out feeling hungrier than when I left, and our other entrees, while not as stupidly small, were still tiny enough to warrant an after-dinner taco bell run. I like fancy food that's properly portioned; this is just a joke. Keeping 3 stars for amazing service, and because some entrees like the kangaroo steak were really good.
Update: The owner personally reached out to me after my review and took the time to explain the situation. She acknowledged that the service issues were due to the team not following internal procedures and shared how challenging it can be to manage staff. She refunded the gratuity and offered a gift card as a gesture of goodwill, which I truly appreciate. While our experience that day was still disappointing, I value the owner’s professionalism and willingness to take responsibility and make things right. —————-————————————————— I booked a table for 8 as a surprise for my husband’s birthday on Saturday the 10th at 4:30 PM. The first guests were seated right at 4:30, and by 4:34 one of the servers asked where the rest of the party was, mentioning that the table was only available for a limited time. This felt inappropriate, as we had only been there for a few minutes. The remaining guests arrived around 4:40, and I arrived with my husband at 4:50. All orders were taken by approximately 5:10, but we then waited over an hour for our food. During that time, a server checked on us more than six times asking if everything was okay, yet the food still did not arrive. At one point, one of my friends jokingly asked if they had gone fishing because of how long it was taking, and the server replied that it would be ready shortly. The food was finally served around 6:15, and by 6:30 we were brought the check. No one asked if we wanted dessert or offered anything for a birthday celebration. The check also included a mandatory 22% gratuity, which felt unreasonable given the level of service. After we raised our concerns, a small discount was offered. While the food itself was very good, the overall experience was disappointing. The long wait, the pressure to leave quickly, and the lack of attention to a birthday celebration overshadowed what should have been a special moment. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning or recommending this place
Atmosphere was nice. Wait staff was on top of things. Meal was blah. My dish and my friend’s was cold instead of hot as expected. Perhaps it was because we had a large group. Editing my review to address the owner’s patronizing response. A customer should never be shamed for sharing an honest experience. For clarity, I did let the server know about the issue at the time. I also clearly marked that the service and atmosphere were deserving of 4 stars. My review reflects my personal experience—not that of the 20-person table or the group that organized the dinner.
This review is a bit delayed, and I went back and forth about posting it or not. I decided to have my birthday dinner here with 6 of my friends to celebrate after receiving rave reviews from another friend. I made a reservation in advance and I arrived first and was sat very quickly. All of my friends arrived after me. After I was sat I was not greeted by a server for about 10 min. The restaurant wasn't terribly busy. When I was finally greeting by a server, I asked about wine selection and inquired if they had any Portuguese wines. I received a very not well hidden eye roll and a no. After that, no one approached my table until about 30 minutes after I arrived. At this point, everyone in the party had arrived. The same server approached the table and asked to take our drink order. He seemed a bit impatient with us and was a bit rude even though we were polite and courteous. We also ordered a charcuterie board for the table to share while we decided on what to order for dinner. The drinks and board arrive and the board was extremely underwhelming. I used to work for a charcuterie company and I was a bit shocked at the quality vs price. There were peanuts on it, very little meat and cheese and hardly any fruit. I have never seen a charcuterie board prepared with peanuts, which is literally the cheapest "nut" there is. We are all ready to place our dinner orders and no one checks on us or takes our dinner orders for about an hour after we are all sat down. We literally felt ignored. Another server finally approached us to take our dinner orders and said that he would be taking over for the other server because he had "been here all day and needed to go home." Thinking that maybe this server had a better demeanor, I confided in him that we were there to celebrate my birthday and we were having a pretty bad experience so far. Instead of empathizing, he gaslights me and says "Okay. Do you want me to get a car full of clowns and balloons and have them sing to you?!" I am not sure if he was attempting to be humorous, but read the room my guy. Everyone's jaw dropped at the table at his response. I wish I could say the experience with this server improved, but it just continued to get worse. To the point where I had to ask my friends if I was going crazy regarding how we were being treated. When I went to use the restroom I even heard him talking bad about us in the back of the house to his coworkers. We also suspect that he had been drinking on the job as well. There were many more issues, but this review is already pretty lengthy. It was, hands down, the WORST dining experience I have ever had, let alone on my birthday. I don't expect a red carpet or preferential treatment just because it'smy birthday, but some decent customer service and kindness would have gone a long way. I used to be a server, so I understand that things happen sometimes. There was zero excuse for this behavior. Additionally, the food overall was okay, but nothing mind blowing and it was definitely way overpriced for what we got. I don't remember everything but only one dish stood out that was really good, which is the one that's pictured. The ONLY saving grace was the kindness shown to us by Kali at the end of the night, who I think is an assistant manager. She was absolutely wonderful, apologized profusely after we told her about all the issues we encountered and gave our table a discount (I don't know how much because my friends wouldn't let me pay for anything). Bottom line, I will never recommend this place to anyone and I will never go back. If I wanted to be treated so terribly, I would call my ex and I wouldn't have to pay for it.
I got the chef's tasting menu last night. The gumbo was great! Just the right amount of spice, and a decent portion, too. The artichoke and mushrooms were good, but there needed to be way more mushroom. The dish was like 20% mushroom 80% artichoke. Next up was the shrimp primavera. I got it with no veggies. Yes, the shrimp are big, but they only gave me one, and I had to ask for extra grated cheese. The lemon sauce that it comes in had too much lemon and sour flavor. Needed to be more cream flavored, or just tone down the lemon. The main course I got was the beef Briand. I requested medium well and the beef was cooked perfectly. The orange romesco sauce it comes on was scrumptious, and made the chickpeas even better. For dessert, I got chocolate mousse, which was good, and the lime coconut sorbet. They went overboard with the lime flavor to the point of being mouth-puckeringly sour, and I could not taste any coconut. Flavor tuning and portions need some serious work here!!! The service was excruciatingly slow!! I was waiting at least 20 minutes in between some courses. I also had 4 people come over and ask if I was ready to order. For the price I paid, over $100 for one person (!!) I would've expected much more quality control for the food and better service.
I went to this restaurant to help celebrate my friend’s husband’s birthday, which was meant to be a surprise. While the restaurant itself was nice and the atmosphere was pleasant at first, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. After our order was taken, we waited almost an hour for our food. When the food finally arrived, instead of being able to enjoy it, the bill was brought to the table about five minutes later. We were surprised, but before we could even process it, the waitress returned again a few minutes later asking how we would like to pay. We explained that we were still eating and had just received our food. Her response was that other people were waiting for the table. When we asked if they were kicking us out, she literally said yes. This was shocking and uncomfortable, especially considering the long wait we had already endured. We were never asked if we wanted dessert, and the check already included a mandatory 22% gratuity, despite the rushed and unsatisfactory service. We spoke with the manager, who apologized and offered dessert, but at their other location across the street, which was even more insulting. Being rushed out while still eating, after waiting so long for our food, was disrespectful and completely inappropriate especially for a birthday celebration. This was not the level of hospitality one would expect. I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant.
