La Cozumelena is an absolute must if you're spending a few days in Cozumel. We stopped in for breakfast one morning. We noticed that it was full of locals getting a meal in before heading to their jobs and just KNEW this was the place to eat. Our server was very friendly and double checked on us through the meal. We started off with some coffee and one of their fresh juices (delicious). They also have an extensive list of smoothies if you're feeling like something lighter/healthier to start your day. We then split two breakfast entrees: huevos motulenos and huevos jarochos. Both of these dishes are specialties of the area that I would highly recommend you try. Our favorite was the huevos jarochos which are like little breakfast enchiladas. There's also a bakery connected if you want some coffee and a pastry. If we find ourselves in Cozumel again, we are 100% going to pay this place a visit.
Stopped into this cute Mexican restaurant to grab an Americano with almond milk. Their coffee is much better than a lot of coffee I’ve had on the island. It has a Mexican flare. They also included 2 DELICIOUS pastries for free from their bakery next door. Definitely check them out if you want a taste of Mexico and wanna avoid the cheesy cruise tourists. Total price under 50 MXN
We were staying nearby, so we went for breakfast. They didn't have tea, so we both had coffee (which tasted like it had cinnamon in it). We each had an enormous plate of eggs, huevos joroches (a Yucatecan preparation) and huevos divorciados. Both were delicious and very filling, but we still managed to put away the small basket of sweet rolls that came with our coffee. If you're not famished, a single breakfast entree could serve two people.
The plantain and bean tostadas were AMAZING! I didn’t think the fajitas were anything special, but they’re not bad by any means. The cappuccino was also quite good, as was the fruit plate. Prices are very reasonable too. They have an English menu, but the staff don’t speak English so plan on some difficulty communicating if you want anything special (such as a nut allergy, iced coffee, bring one dish out first, etc.). You’ll have to ask for the English menu, the one online from the QR code isn’t English.
Very nice. Soothing cool atmosphere, relaxing music, good prices, and our waiter was nice and friendly. The café americano comes with a little free bread which was very good and fresh. We both had tortas, which were large and tasty and which came with an ample amount of hot fries. The signs on the walls reflect my own personal thoughts as well so maybe I was destined to visit this restaurante, ¿quién sabe? :-)

Great food, amazing bread. breakfast was so good, we came back the next day and it was even better. Definitely going to be a regular stop. Would like to try lunch/dinner menu also.

This used to be one of my favorite breakfast places. I LOVE their coffee it's the best on the island but the place has declined over the last 10 years. It had a very offensive odor to it the last time we visited. The pastries are still delicious and the coffee is AMAZING.
This review is for the bakery only. The restaurant is lovely. I have been into the bakery several times over the past few years. As in the past I have never been greeted, only ignored, even when the woman clearly saw me . Today was no different...completely ignored until I went to pay. There has never been eye contact or a thank you. I find this behaviour completely opposite to the warm greeting and thank you I appreciate in all other establishments in Cozumel and in all of Mexico. I thought it was time to say something.
