The workers (especially Andrew) had absolute world class service. My bowl tasted absolutely magnificent and it was overall the best chipotle experience of my life. 100% recommend.
I placed a pick up order and waited 15 minutes past my pick up time before someone finally said that they’re waiting for FAJITAS and don’t know how long it’ll be. I watched 10-15 customers get their bowls made and leave while I just stood waiting for my order. I’m watching employees go on meal break 15 minutes into opening and I’m just waiting. The seating area was unclean and my bowl ended up being 50% rice with cold meat.
Went to Chipotle today on Franklin Street in chapel Hill, The first guy greeted me as he was passing out orders for people with online orders. I noticed I didn't have the drink that I need it, so I respectfully approach the young lady as she was in between customers.and asked if she could help, me she told me to give her 2 seconds, so I gave up four seconds. I approached her again she said give me two seconds so I said I've already gave you 4 seconds can you give me the drink that's missing out of my orders. I know we don't have a lot of people of color shopping at this Chipotle mostly Carolina students but I am a customer regardless of my color. And I also am paying your salary. If you have a problem with people of color you're in the wrong business!! So go work behind the scenes. You also should check yourself you are a woman of color!! 🤔
I asked if I can get 3 of the new protein cups and if there was a way to get a side of rice. They stared at me after I asked 3 times then moved me down the line without any other questions. Was not a great experience.
Just left, HORRIBLE. Portion was halved even the rice that was scoped from the bottom of the container. Little to no beef asked for more she asked if I wanted double .. NOOOOO I want what I’m paying for which should at least be a serving size. So not only was I cheated on the rice which is the BASE of a bowl I had to ask for the right amount of meat. It shouldn’t be this hard to receive what you’re paying for. Just pissed. 😑
Lunch time visit, around 2:15 pm. Came in for the steak bowl. The serving and warming areas where the food is kept were almost empty. The server couldn’t tell us when the next batch of food would be ready. The station was not clean. We couldn’t place an order because of the lack of food, so we went elsewhere. 301 W Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, NC.
I went in to order a quesadilla like I have before and they told me that I had to order the quesadilla online not in the store. So my thing is what is the difference? Why would I have to do it online instead of just ordering it in the store like everything else? To me that is like throwing money away. I swear businesses just to it to themselves sometimes. Sometimes I think businesses find ways to put themselves out of business. Like why would any ace do this? It's beyond me.
I’m writing this few minutes after going to this location to buy food in a long time because of the fact that I found nails in my bowl. Unfortunately, this time was no better and I did encounter the same problem! Please do consider taking sanitary measures more seriously because this can hurt people if they consume it by accident.
Like other folks experienced, my online order took 30 min longer than when they said it was ready. Just be warned.
This place needs to seriously hire an entire new team of people. My friend ordered door dash from here and received the completely wrong order with someone else’s name. I thought it was a fluke so I also ordered door dash delivery from here and they completely forgot one of the burrito bowls AND there was hair in the queso. I nearly spent $40 so I went up there and thankfully they remade everything and were nice about it…but there was hair in the queso AGAIN. I’m not making this up. When I got home there was a hair right on the top of the second queso they gave me. I feel like it’s either on purpose or they really don’t care. This is by far the worst and most unsanitary Chipotle I have ever been to. There needs to be a health inspection done here immediately before another outbreak.
Typically decent but they have gotten bad recently and will mess up your order and put stuff on there you didn’t ask for. Quality has gone way downhill.
everything just absolutely terrible. if i could give 0 stars i would. My order is wrong everytime I order here. They never answer the phone and when I came in to get it corrected or refund the manager was BEYOND rude. Absolutely Disgusting.
DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. ⚠️‼️ I hate writing reviews but I have to about this chipotle location in franklin street. I have had two TERRIBLE experiences. First, the food had caused me diarrhea and extreme nauseous because it was under the temperature. Second, I had went inside earlier this week and a very very sweet lady at the front told me about the buy 1 get 1 free, I wasn’t planning onto get another but I admired how sincere the lady was so I did. Then I go up to the cashier to pay and I see $17 which was odd. I told her that it was part of the buy 1 get 1, but, this girl said that I wouldnt be granted the deal because the lady at the front told me and I didnt know it myself. HELLO??????? Why the actual hell does she care who told me about the deal as its supposed to be for everyone and everybody. I unfortunately had already tapped my card before I realized the prize and she didn’t let me return it either. Instead I just left the food an left immediately, I have never see such terrible customer service. This happened on Wednesday at around 7pm, so whoever was working as a cashier there should be fired immediately. She was very rude and did not make any sense at all. I will not be coming back again and will be telling everyone around me about this TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE customer service. I can’t stress enough of how terrible.
Went on 9-13-25 and got two burritos. Two different meats choices and it made both of us sick to our stomach. I would not eat here again. The place was not clean as well. Trash was over flowing as well. I noticed the sour cream on mine was runny not solid in the serving area. Should have not gotten that after seeing that part. Then the beef had a huge chunk of fat in it. Glad I stopped eating it and got rid of it after that.
Went there on 11/19/25 at 12:11pm to be given skimpy portions from a server barely giving me rice, chicken and sour cream. Then before the next server got to my food another worker stopped him to get him to warm up a tortilla for a burrito. He then stopped before he could even put anything in my bowl to help her and didn’t come back to finish my food so the first serve had to come and finish preparing it. They had my food sitting on the line for 5 minutes getting cold while I was standing there as they were helping customers that came in after me. This was a terrible experience.
Terrible experience last 2 visits Aug & Sept 2025. Was fine 2 years running but now terrible service, filthy counter area/kitchen, long wait times and no acknowledgement by employees! 2 visits ago (8/12/25) waited at front of line 12 minutes for meat to be cooked as they were out of chicken and steak. But at least they informed us and we waited patiently. Food tasted fine but portions small. Entire food area was filthy. Last visit (9/9/25) we waited 15 minutes in the front of the line while employees took breaks, talked on phone in parking lot, went into to back room and 'acted busy'. Line grew 12 people deep behind us. Not one employee acknowledged any of us. At times no one was even in the service area or open kitchen area for up to 3-5 minutes at a time- so no visible employee on site, just filthy counter tops. Kitchen was a mess, service area was a mess. After waiting 15 minutes in the front of the line, with no acknowledgment from a single employee - we walked out. Strangest experience! I totally get that things happen - maybe they forgot a large party order? No idea - but not acknowledging a long line of customers is baffling to me. Will not return to this location!
The staff are nice but there’s a huge line waiting to get their pickup order. I’ve been here 35 minutes past the pickup time and there are people who have been here for an hour. This is at 4pm on a Sunday. Avoid ordering online and just go in person. I can’t cancel my order so I’m forced to wait
Would give zero stars if an option. Ordered food online. Arrived to store 20 min later as said that is time it would take. App said order was ready but it was not. Approximately 20+ people waiting. After 25 minutes more of waiting and inquiring about my order status twice I got in line cause at least that was moving. Got to front and they didn’t initially want to take my order cause it was an online order. Come to find out they didn’t have most items - basically chicken and not what I ordered yet no one had yet to tell me they wouldn’t be able to complete my order. It was complete chaos. I do recognize the people working were doing what they could ans fast ans possible although not everyone there had a great attitude. Bad communication and something terribly wrong with the process. Can’t really rate the food cause I didn’t get it after an hour of what should have been a 15 minute meal. Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes tonight.
I’ve been casually patronizing this location since 2019. This past summer, I dined here every other day. After a three-month hiatus, I decided to have dinner here and was alarmed by the level of carelessness displayed by staff. The server repeatedly interrupted me while I ordered, forcing me to ask multiple times for adequate servings. I ordered a double portion of protein and still received a scant amount. When I raised this concern at the register, the response was a blank stare accompanied by “there’s not much we can do,” as if as if expecting portions commensurate with what you’re paying is somehow unreasonable. I wound up paying five additional dollars for what amounted to a condiment cup of meat. Total $21 for a bowl with barely anything in it - for what frankly is just ersatz Mexican food. As others have noted, the portion sizes have shrunk considerably while prices have remained the same, and the staff’s indifference suggests this is partly by design. I do not recommend you eat here. Franklin has a wide array of restaurants that are authentically more Mexican, with superior service and more filling portion sizes.
the cashier lady was incredibly bad at customer service and refused to check on our mobile order even though it had been ready in the back for 30 minutes 🫠
Girl at the register tonight was screaming at customers and rolling her eyes at the gentleman in front of me about online pickup (after jamming the pickup shelf to the side so no one could see it), and then told me I "needed to check my attitude" after giving my name (again, after she was screaming at people and forcefully moved the shelf for no one to see it). I understand the restaurant is busy, but there is really no need to yell at people (who are giving their name as you're screaming it out). If it's inconvenient for employees to have to handle the pick up shelf while also serving customers in person, perhaps the shelf should be moved elsewhere, where employees won't need to be bothered helping people who are trying to pick up food they already paid for. Have never been spoken to by an employee this way and it was very unnecessary.
Terrible quality of service- burrito was also poorly wrapped and immediately fell apart in the foil and employee did nothing and continued to wrap it. Service here is always super low quality- workers here don’t care. Once had an employee wearing headphones while serving (which usually is fine) but proceeded to not hear the customers and gave incorrect ingredients.
