Momo's Master is highly recommended for its delicious Himalayan dumplings (momos) and friendly service. Customers rave about the variety of momo styles and the warm, inviting ambiance. Some negative reviews mention issues with cleanliness and inconsistent food quality.
Tip: Try the mango lassis to balance out the spice in your meal.

The cheese fries burger was very good. The Chicago dog while not topped like a normal chicago dog still tasted good. Fries were also really tasty. The customer service is surprisingly good for such a buzy place.
The dogs are fantastic - so many choices and varieties. Burger are on point and the “Sup Dog” sauce goes on everything!
Sup dogs is a really fun restaurant on Franklin Street with lots of hot dogs and burger options and tasty drinks. The wait staff and management are very friendly and upbeat. We all enjoyed our food and watching the football game.
Came in for lunch and we were super pleased with our food and service! Some of the best chili we have ever had. We had the slaw burger, slaw dog, and chili cheese dog. I also had a cherry limeade crush drink and the juice was fresh squeezed and definitely tasted like it. Great drink!
My daughter took me here to grab a bite for lunch after moving her in to an apartment all morning! I thoroughly enjoyed and inhaled my meal a Hawaiian Burger, 2 NC hotdogs and onion rings, hit the spot! Did not disappoint, will be back. Also, our waitress was the Sweetest and so attentive. Place was packed but we were still served very quickly and checked on multiple times. Nice job! Will be back. Prices are very reasonable too.
I've been craving good hot dogs for several days. I ordered Sup Dogs for delivery. I wasn't sure how well the dogs would keep in transit but boy did they hit the spot and arrived beautifully wrapped!
Sup Dogs was great!!! Came in on a crowded friday night and got served right away. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and cheese fries and the food was legit. I received generous portions and delicious food. The cheese fries were great - especially when dipped in the ranch or special sauce (as pictured). The Chicken sandwich was tossed in an appropriate amount of buffalo sauce and was the perfect density. Altogether the food was a 5/5. My review should really be a 4.5/5 because I do have one complaint. My food was $17. For someone looking for an affordable option- this is definitely not it. I understand I got cheese fries but the prices still seem a little steep to me. Most hotdogs are over $8 here as well. If you have the money to spend here, the food definitely won’t let you down, just think it’s a little high. The atmosphere makes up for the pricing if you have plenty of time to spend or go in with friends on a game night/ weekend night.
Sup Dogs! Warning!!! Don't skimp on the napkins. This little hole in the wall dog and burger joint is the epitome of local delights. With their homemade chili, hand smashed burgers and all beef hot dogs you're in for a treat for your tongue. The long fries are cooked to perfection crispy on the outside soft and decedent on the inside. Dip them in the sup dog sauce and man oh man have you got a delicious combo. Prices are mid-range for a burger stop but worth every penny. Their in house brewed sweet tea is refreshing. I had the bacon cheese fries burger and my wife had the slaw burger. Yes you read that right bacon cheese fries on top of a 1/3 pound fresh beef burger patty. The hardest part of the whole experience was deciding what to order, every thing looked and sounded delicious. Will be going back!
I was in the Chapel Hill area and decided to visit the same place we went to when we toured the college for the first time. My son suggested I try the chicken sandwich, so I tried the hot honey BBQ chicken sandwich, and I have to say, it was absolutely delicious. I'm definitely planning to return soon to give their hot dogs a try.
Their hot dogs are so yum and tummy filling You pay $2 and can add an extra order of hot dog Their toppings are really good and well curated menu. Love their sauce, fries and onion rings My fav is Chicago dog.
Me and my grandfather went for lunch and dinner today. We got burgers for lunch, hotdogs for dinner. Both were excellent. Our waitress, Courtney was impeccable. We will be coming back every time we visit Chapel Hill.
After bopping around town to find dinner, my partner and our out-of-town guest ended up at Sup Dogs. We were treated kindly and with patience. Loved the drinks and simple menu. Of course, it’s bar food. But it’ll do. Service was great and we were able to sit outside.
7/10/2021 first time bk since COVID. So glad it’s still as good as we remembered. Our meals were just as we hoped. Staff was attentive and seems like the tables are more spaced out. 2/2020 Finally was able to stop in for an early lunch. We were not disappointed! 1st of all I thought it looked like a small place from the outside, but once we walked in, we were happily surprised to see it was a good size restaurant and there is table service. Food was delicious and totally worth the calories. I look forward to the next time already.
What’s not to love about Sup Dogs? Very friendly staff and Kelsey, my waitress, had great customer service! I’m a Duke fan and raised in NC, so when I saw how close this was to the UNC hospital, where my mom is at the time, I HAD to try it. Good thing I didn’t wear a different blue shirt. This place is DECKED out in Carolina. I went on a Sunday and it was perfect. You pick where you sit, FYI, and my slaw dog combo came out super fast. Decent amount of food, for the price. I also had the “orange crush” which they literally make right there with a fresh squeezed orange. If you’re on the fence about trying it, I assure you, it’s a must try! I will be back.
I’ve had a mostly great experience at Sup Dogs on Franklin Street. The vibes are always top-notch, especially when Jesse is working—he really sets the tone, keeps the atmosphere lively, and the music always complements the mood. The food is delicious, and the service is generally fantastic. However, I had a less-than-ideal interaction with one of the female waitresses. When I tried to give her a tip and simply asked for her name, she dismissed me quite rudely, and said “I don’t have a name”, which was disappointing. It was a bit off-putting, and while I still enjoy the place, that experience brought my “ Service rating” down from five stars to four. Overall, Sup Dogs remains a fun spot with great food and amazing energy, especially thanks to Jesse. Just be prepared for the occasional less-than-friendly interaction.
Hotdogs and hamburgers is what this place is all about. I have not tried their burgers but had their Hotdogs and fries and they are the best around. Now you can only do so much with the dogs themselves so it's all about the toppings and the hotdog chilli is best around. The fries were perfect, hot, crisp... what could you want more !
Took the family for lunch and by FAR the best hot dogs in Raleigh!! Try the one with chili, BBQ sauce, and topped with onion rings! Yum!! The boneless buffalo wings as well as the cheese and bacon fries were fresh and delicious and holy cow, the pizza fries was an amazing flavor combination! Fresh red oak beer on tap was delicious and the service was top-notch. Food was delivered fast and very fresh and well not the cheapest, definitely was worth every penny. Fantastic job guys!?
My table ordered many of the dumpling based dishes and all were innovative, colorful, and super tasty. I went rogue with the chicken vindaloo, and it was one of the most exciting and satisfying things that I’ve eaten in a long while. Nepalese style vindaloo has a thicker, richer, and less sour sauce than most parts of India, and the spicing was outstanding and subtle yet packed plenty of heat. Looks great on the plate, too. Serving size here is huge, and the value is exceptional.
I stopped by The Momo Master and honestly it’s the go-to spot if you’re serious about momos. They’ve got every style you can imagine: steamed, fried, chili, jhol… each one with its own personality and flavor. You can literally taste the craft. The moment you walk in, the place just hits different. The warm brick walls, the soft wood accents, the hanging lanterns everything gives off a calm, homely, bistro vibe. It’s the kind of spot where you sit down for a quick bite and end up staying longer because it feels so peaceful. Even the little decor touches the Buddha fountain, the wall art add such a comforting energy. If you love momos or just want a chill place with good food and good vibes, this place is absolutely worth it. Momos on point. Ambience on point. Will definitely be back.
I recently visited this spot, and it exceeded my expectations! The ambience was warm and inviting, with a clean and well-maintained environment. The staff were attentive and courteous, ensuring a seamless experience. My friend's recommendation was well-timed, as the food was exquisite. I'm thrilled to have booked it for my birthday celebration next Sunday. The promise of delightful service and scrumptious dishes has me counting down the days. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, look no further. I'm eager to create new memories with loved ones in this lovely setting.
Ate here a few weeks ago with a group of friends, and I'm kicking myself for not trying this place sooner! We all shared several orders of yogurt bombs, chicken, lamb, and bison momos, and pork and duck bao buns, and everything was amazing. I can't recommend them enough, and can't wait to try more of the menu! Or just more of the same, lol.
Solid spot in CH for a family-style dinner in a clean restaurant. Usually quite chill. Momo’s (Nepalese dumplings) are quite good. So were the samosas and yogurt bombs, especially the yogurt bombs. Mango lassis are a really nice must-have for the meal (also balances out the spice). 2 apps + 2 mains are good for 3 people. Duck bao buns + fries were not my fav; too little duck, not enough bun, and fries were not crispy. They have way better things on the menu. The super fried stuff on the menu is super fried and a bit too oily in my experience. Previously I have enjoyed the lamb sliders and veggie dumplings. Things can be quite spicy in my experience and there is a lot of cilantro on top.
My daughter recommended this Nepalese restaurant at Chapel Hill to try out the Himalayan dumplings. The restaurant ambience was quaintly decorated. Fast and friendly service. First time eating Himalayan dumplings and it was a delectable dining experience. The Chole poori was quite delicious . The steamed chicken momo with the sauces was great. The Sizzler Momo with bison was delicious and favorable although slightly spicy for me.
Wow! I am SO GLAD my daughter and I had extra time to spend in Chapel Hill today because we found Momo's Master!! I have never had Himalayan dumplings before, but now I will want them all the time. The food is incredibly delicious- so much flavor and fresh and beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend Momo's Master if you want a delicious food adventure.
Highly recommend! Came for dinner on a Friday and had great service. The manager came to check on us to make sure the food was good and was very kind. We tried the Chilli MoMos with bison which were delicious with a slight kick but manageable. Also had the steamed chicken MoMos, great choice for less spiciness. They came with two dipping sauces. And the lamb sliders were tender and juicy! Can’t wait to come back and try more.
The food I got to try were the Jalapeño Tator tots, veggie burger with cheesy tots, and the veggie hot dog with onion rings and their secret sauce. I also had a couple French fries to taste. The jalapeño tator tots were just tater tots topped with shredded cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, and chopped jalapeños. I will say that they were decent, but I was a bit disappointed as I love spicy food and the jalapeños they used were pretty mild. After tasting, I determined that the hot sauce they used was most likely Texas Pete. The veggie burger was really good. The patty itself was pretty savory and not too salty as some make them. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the patties are made in-house. The cheesy tots upheld its namesake -- tater tots with melted cheese on top. Tasted heavenly when paired with ranch or with mustard (or other dressing of your liking). The veggie dog had lettuce and cheese, a pickle under the wiener, and the wiener itself. It was cooked properly and tasted pretty good. Wasn't spectacular but definitely worth a try if you want to cut back on meat. The onion rings weren't the best I've tasted, but were still decent. They could make them better by frying them a bit longer or using a different type of breadcrumb mix (unless they use frozen onion rings). I was told that their "secret sauce" was suppose to be a mixture of various sauces. Take this as you will, but it pretty much just tasted like BBQ sauce. Finally, the service. I would say that for the level of crowded it was that the service was phenomenal. Both of the people who served us interacted with us and were friendly, even if we had come kinda late night and they were probably already working for some hours. Overall: some of the food was great, some was good, but I'm cutting a star because nothing was spectacular. Take that with a grain of salt though, I would definitely go here again, and I think it's worth a try if you live in the area or are visiting!
Are you ready to full, well this is the spot for you when have a taste for Hotdogs or Hamburgers. The prices are great for the amount of food you get. They haven't disappointed us yet. Just make sure you bring your appetite. You will be leaving here with the itis😆. The customer service here is good and you don have to wait long for food.
I always wanted to try sup dog. I happen to be in downtown today and decided to stop in. I tried the western hotdog. It was good. The rest of my party ordered and everybody ate everything. The nice thing about sup dog. Doesn’t cost a lot to sit down and eat. The food is good. They also make some interesting, frozen drinks. My server was excellent. Didn’t have to wait long for the food. If you’re in a hurry to have something hot to eat, that’s good and inexpensive in downtown Chapel Hill. Sup dog fills the build.
The food is excellent and unique here, almost like a fusion between Chinese and Indian cuisine. The portions are reasonable and everything well-seasoned. The price does feel high for what is essentially dumplings, especially considering that you have to pay extra for any meat filling, making a standard tray of 8 dumplings cost about ~13 dollars. Also, the Sizzler MoMo’s is supposed to have asparagus, but as you can see, the dish only had a single, undercooked asparagus for looks more than for flavor. Nonetheless, the noodles were excellent. I would come back again from time to time, but it’s too expensive to be a regular stop.
Our friend recommended this place so tried it over the weekend. Place wasn’t busy so wasn’t hard to find a table. Staff is very courteous and service was great. Food is however average for most part. Samosas were great. Chole Poori was very good too. Sizzler mono were decent. Momos in Sizzler Momos were good but noodles had ketchup flavor. Chili Momos were not great. It too had some spicy ketchup flavor. Himalayan fried rice also had some tomato based flavor which tasted like ketchup. It felt like we ordered few dishes with ketchup base. I will definitely try other dishes on menu in future but felt little underwhelming based on what I ordered. Place is right next to a parking lot so it was very convenient to park and walk to the restaurant.
Service and atmosphere were great, I got a mango drink. That was also really good… But my food is terrible. I got the Himalayan fried rice and it taste like they poured a pound of pepper on it. I can't even taste the flavor of the vegetables and rice because there's so much pepper. You can see the specs of pepper in the photo
To say the least, we were surprised because there were dead and LIVE cockroaches. The place is dingy and sticky anyways; but, we wiped down the tables and didn’t think more of it. However, when the army of creepy crawlers were everywhere on the floor and table/ chair legs…. that’s purely “disgusting & disturbing”. They can even hop into your bag and come home with you. If they re mingling with customers, I can ONLY imagine how insect-populated it is back there inside the dirty kitchen. Think about 🪳stuffed momos, 🪳 traversing across garlic naan, 🪳 eggs dropping into chicken tikka masala. I cannot forgive and forget. Won’t be eating at this joint which I call roach motel! (Informed the staff/ no reaction…) 🙄
