Simply AMAZING 🤩🤩🤩 ITS A MUST FOR THIS SUMMER ☀️☀️☀️ Whatever you order is delicious!!! but let me tell you my top 3 tacos 🌮 1.- shrimp classic taco 🤤🤤🤤 (alert 🚨you might fall in love 💕 ) 2.- steak & potato taco 🫠🤤 3.- pork belly taco 💙 I want to thank the amazing staff Jackson, & Shakira on the advice of tacos as it was my first time here and definitely I’ll be coming back for more Oh and lastly I want to thank the cook 👨🍳 JUAN for making the experience a lot more personal since he delivered 🤤 Ps they have a cute little patio ☀️🍻
Cute Mexican restaurant! The tacos are good, more of a modern healthy take than an authentic taco but still delicious. The French toast was really good, definitely recommend! My only complaint is they charge for salsa but don't tell you they will which felt a little strange.
Chloe was absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for customizing our orders. Extremely kind and attentive. Marco, the manager was also super kind and amazing! I definitely recommend coming here for food and bottomless mimosas. This place does not disappoint ever! And the queso fondido - 🔥 yum!
The tacos are AMAZING!!! They have so many great margs too! All their flavors are half off until 7pm on thurs-sat! Such a great deal. Customer service was amazing too and made us feel so at home.
Really great service. The eggs are super soft, probably whipped with some cream before cooked. Their coffee braised beef is almost sweet initially amd them the saltiness kicks in about 3 seconds later. Their omlette portion sizes seemed a little small, but the quality was fantastic. Really cozy environment with a large skylight towards the rear of the restaurant. So much booze. Menus are electronic via QR code
Truly a staple in my rotation of restaurants. Takito is the pinnacle of all creative tacos I've tried. The crispy fish taco is what I compare all fish tacos to, and Takito's wins every time. The environment, drinks, guacamole - it's all on point. They've kept their prices low even as everywhere around them bumps up and up. I personally would never consider for a second to stop going if they did end up raising their prices, because everything is absolutely worth it.
First off, service was great and a clear example of how it should be at all restaurants. Margs were good, tacos were good. I’d probably skip on the pork belly taco but that’s just me.I’m not a big guac fan at all but the pineapple guac here was quite tasty. I think this really deserves a 4.5, but hey, we’ll round up today!
We absolutely loved Takito's brunch! 15 dollar bottomless mimosas and amazing margaritas! We ordered the chilaquiles and breakfast tacos with added coffee braised beef. We will definitely be coming back for brunch and to see the great staff who helped us. Shout out to Aurelio, Ana and Sheila! You made brunch so much fun!
Taco Tuesday Happy Hour is epic! $2.95 tacos you can mix and match, and 50% off small margaritas. My favorites are the esquites, barbacoa and carnitas; but truly every taco we tried was great. We ordered almost one of everything. The service was also excellent.
I really like this place. Its menu is gluten free, pretty much the only place I know in the city where I can eat fried chicken and fried fish without having to do or myself. Their tacos are trendy and tasty as are their margaritas. Big fan of their taco Tuesday and fried chicken taco Wednesday. Also, their wait staff goes above and beyond. They put on Obama's farewell speech at my friends and my request, they're very attentive, and they even make me feel good when I make a mistake. I'm a neighborhood regular.
There's happy hour and the margs are on sale. The food is pretty yums as well. Totally worth it for margs on a patio...but I can be hot if your not under an umbrella. Staff is great. Service is quick. Esquites for sure...def get that as a snack.
TLDR: An absolute must visit! The drinks.....bomb. The food.....slamming! The staff...... awesome! When we walked in the host let us know they were short staffed and service would be slow. I so appreciated that, giving us the choice to wait or not. We were in no rush so we stayed and I'm so glad we did. It was totally worth a little extra wait. The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere was great. The drinks and food were heavenly. The queso fondido is amazeballs! Go get you some! Oh and the Pineapple Serrano for a drink!
Excellent customer service and wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend the skirt, steak taco, pork, belly, taco, bean dip, appetizer, and the guacamole. We had a new frozen habanero margarita as well as the Mezcal Moscow mule both were off the charts.
I came to celebrate my birthday with brunch and was so fun. Other people were celebrating birthdays and other occasions, too, so it was a vibe. The food was delicious and the drinks we flowing. I will be back for more! Best brunch ever!
Such an amazing Wicker Park spot! Nice and friendly staff, that will provide great recommendations for your dining options. Brunch is amazing, highly recommend the Sope. Pro-tip: $10 bottomless mimosas on be weekends until 2:30pm. You can’t got wrong with any of the entrees, because they are all decent portions and absolutely delicious!
An absolute lovely fine dining experience simple food is simple food made from pleasure! AVE R was our server and he is amazing:)
Yum!! The margaritas, appetizers and tacos were delicious. I recommend the queso and guacamole. Great service! I will definitely be back. Fun place to go for a birthday.
Great eating experience with tasty drinks. Awesome atmosphere with friendly service. Seguro regresare!!!
Great atmosphere, delicious food, convenient location - Great, intimate spot for first date, anniversary, or just bring in comfortable space - Price was right and outstanding value - We will be back - Next week over to Takito Street (Lincoln Park) then Bar Takito (Fulton Mkt.) for Cinco de Mayo.
Loved it!! First timer and googled searched best fish tacos in Chicago and came across this location! Highly highly recommend the fish tacos! And the guacamole puree! Service was great -- overall food was great!
I have now been to Takito Kitchen 5 times in the last 6 weeks. The tacos are amazing and the margaritas are delicious! Don't skimp out on the trio of salsas... they're are unique and great to add to your tacos.
Passion fruit and lychee margs were amazing, as was the ceviche and esquitos (corn appetizer)
Had an amazing time! Bottomless mimosas were on point, food was delicious and the service was phenomenal! Ana and the guy with the boot on took care of us like good friends
It was my first time at Takitos in Chicago, and Shakira was amazing with her service, and vives 💯 recommended the place!! And Shakira service!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.!!
Those tacos are amazing. Pork belly tacos - must have! (If you not vegetarian) Can not wait until this place reopen. :-)
Great venue. Large and open. A bit understaffed when I was there on a Thursday for happy hour.
Amazing food and drinks! Our server Shakira was beyond amazing!! The owner Mario came over to our table and made us feel so welcome! Perfect weekend brunch spot!
Really great experience at Takito Kitchen! The food was great and the drinks were tasty. What really stood out was the service! Staff was quick and able to accommodate a variety of needs. Additionally, the restaurant closed and they let us stay to finish our food & drinks. Instead of kicking us out, we were offered a round of shots! Would highly recommend and will definitely come again
Came here for happy hour with an old coworker. Initially we were going to go down the street but we stopped to look at the menu, the very nice manager Juan came out and greeted us and told us about their happy hour. So we decided to give it a shot. I've been here for brunch in the weekends which is amazing but the happy hour is very comparable! The prices were perfect for what we were looking for, the margaritas were EXCELLENT! The server was amazing, the speed and taste of food was amazing and the manager was awesome! Definitely recommend 10/10.
I had an amazing time at Takito. The service was excellent for their brunch. Chloe was our server. She was amazing! She was very attentive and personal. I had the lamb tacos and they were flavorful and hearty. Grab 2 orders if you want. 😋 The mimosas were tasty and you can add cranberry flavor which is great. Marco is the manager and came to ask if we were OK. I absolutely love it when a manager is on site. He was personal and attentive. I'm definitely coming back!
I have been coming here for 3 years with my fiance. We both love the tacos and the margaritas. Our most recent visit was today and we had the pleasure to have Jackson as our server. Shakira has also served us in the past and she is awesome. Best tacos in the city! 🌮
Our waitress, Shakira, was super attentive and enthusiastic of all the menu options. My friend and I were blown away by how amazing the tacos were. Do not snooze on this place! Every taco was perfection. Kudos to the chef and team for perfect execution. Better than Big Star.
Dinner here was incredible. I had an amazing night with really friendly and fast service. Food was tasting delicious and the restaurant ambient was perfect with a comfy atmosphere and good music choice. Chloe was a great and attentive server along with Juan the manager/bartender who gave us an excellent experience. Definitely a place to come back to.
There are a lot of taco stores in Chicago, and I consider this as one of the best! Takito Kitchen offers fresh tacos, which are made to order. Their tacos are served crispy and well-seasoned. They also offer cocktails and chips. This is a small store so it is best to have your reservations first before going here. Everyone here was nice and friendly, and the ambiance is light and amusing. The service is great and they serve the food quickly. They also have outdoor cozy tables. I chose to have my meal outdoor and I loved the ambiance and how it makes me feel relaxed. The foods were superb and satisfying, and the serving proportions were big enough and worth the price. Definitely a must-try!
Our server was amazing, he made our drinks perfectly and the tacos were amazing. We had pork belly and steak which honestly tasted like food coming from a grandma with years of experience. Would go again especially for happy hour.
The food was phenomenal! I actually was here a few months ago and I'm just no getting around to posting a review. The service and atmosphere were fantastic. But the food was truly the star of the experience. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. Specifically the elote and poblano taco. The menu being 100% gluten free is amazing as well for those who have allergies or intolerances.
We were so impressed at our first visit here, that we had to come back! We love taco Tuesdays and the margaritas! Staff is very welcoming and helpful with the food suggestions. We have tried almost every food item on the menu! A must try are the shrimp tacos, asada tacos and their appetizers!
Went here for our Anniversary. The staff were excellent and attentive to our celebration. Jackson made us some special cocktails that were delicious. The food was great. Atmosphere was intimate, modern, and classy.
Stopped by for a snack during a street fest and the patio was fairly busy. They have a handful of tables outside and plenty of seating inside. We tried the pork belly taco (cheese on the side). It was good, but a bit dry and would’ve benefited from salsa being added to it. They have a number of new items in their menu, but they weren’t available the day we came.
Nice little place, server was nice bit did not fully cater to my young daughter and I with a faulty table and need for napkins. Food was really good but small portions. Espresso Martini was excellent, a bit much for the size of drink. Overall good.
Not the best place for someone looking for vegetarian tacos, but the food was good and the vibe is live. We liked the atmosphere, except the music is almost too loud to be able to converse with your fellow diners. We would recommend the salad and the mushroom tacos, if you’re looking for vegetarian options.
Went for Taco Tuesday and I have to say they are very creative with a splash of uniqueness but they all tasted pretty good. $6 Margaritas before 6 were pretty good too
Cute spot and the food was delightful. Everything on the menu is gluten free, however it was a little bit challenging to get additional modifications.
Cute spot, delicious cucumber margs and the lobster tacos were my fav! They were insanely good. Will def be back!!!
Margaritas were good, tacos just as good. Favorite was fried chicken on Wednesdays and the pork belly.
Great food and service. No coffee on the menu. Music is too loud for conversation.
Good tacos, slightly more than you'd like to pay for tacos but really good flavor. The margaritas were just okay which was disappointing.
Delicious margaritas!! We had the Takito and tamarindo cilantro margaritas. The only issue is that on Friday-Sunday they have strict rules regarding the minimum tacos that you can order. You must purchase at least 2 of the same taco. This prevented me from trying a variety of tacos, instead of trying 3 of their tacos (I wanted 1 of their fried fish, 1 shrimp and 1 barbacoa) I was restricted to only 1 since I had to order minimum of 2 tacos of the same kind?? This may work for groups but when your companion is vegan this does not work. The coconut flan was also well done.
The tacos was pretty good I really just like the lamb tacos. But the customer service needs improvement. I wish they would have made the menu sound more tasty and exciting and more energy can come from the host. But like I said I will go back for the lamb tacos.
was expecting the food to be better. the avocado toast was one thin slice of cheap bread with sunny side eggs on top. the mushroom skillet ended up getting my friend sick.
