We would come back again and again to this restaurant. It was amazingly great! Try the flat-bread pizza.

Came here at night and ate outside. The bar inside is really loud and it may be hard to hear anything. The food was outstanding. We ordered a pizza and burgers and want to come back for more. They offer many beers as well

Literally Three Aces has one of the best foods I've ever eaten and that's saying something...their Bolo fries are to die for. They have a great patio for al fresco dining in the summer, great homemade specialties and deals (pizza, beer, shot).

Two words: Bolognese Fries!! These will change your life! It's a simple concept, but I've never had it before coming to Three Aces, and it was that good! My friend and I shared the Ace Burger, added the bolognese fries, and the short rib pizza. Everything was delicious, but the fries were a party in my mouth! The combination was great, but the sauce itself is a delicious recipe -- never had it this good. The entire menu sounds great and I need to try everything else, but the fries are a staple.

This place is amazing! The food, the atmosphere, and the drinks are on point. I've never had a bad meal here and love both the dinner and the brunch menus!

Their tagline says it all...The food is unbelievable and their changing seasonal menu makes it worth going often. I also love going for breakfast - their homemade bloody mary mix is top notch, but that breakfast poutine takes the cake.

This place is absolutely delicious! There is great food and a very friendly staff. It was my first time being in there and the waitress that took care of me explained everything on the menu and answered all of my questions! For sure going back!

Good bar. I liked it. Playing lots of David bowie. If your around the area I'd recommend it. Also County BBQ over the road is also good for food.

Great dinner. Waitress was fantastic as well. The fries and burger are so good. I wish the menu was bigger.

LOVE three aces!!! Amazing staff, and INCREDIBLE FOOD! Every time I'm home from school, I MUST stop for a cheeseburger and a gin & sour! Best I've ever had

One of the most upscale bars around the UIC/Taylor Street area. Good selection of classic craft cocktails.

I really liked this rock bar. Very good whiskey drinks and the pizza was solid as well. I would def return next time in Chi.

One of my favorite patios in the city, but even inside, this place has so much character..Loud rock music, great selection of beers and tasty burgers keeps this place in my rotation list

Three Aces is seriously one of favorite places in Chicago!!!! The outdoor patio is key in the summer! Stop in anytime for the pizza - you can't miss this.

I love this place. Went one night after a rehearsal had some pizza and the best tasting Brussels sprouts ever. Went back several times with others for the amazing fries with whatever they were covered with. Met one of the owners, did a couple shots and the day was done. This place rocks. The bartenders are well educated on music and brew. Trust me when I say you need to drop in at least once.

This is my favorite bar in Chicago. They have a great seasonal beer selection that's reasonably priced. The food is outstanding, I love the burger and the wood friend pizzas. Seriously. Get. The. Burger. The outdoor patio is awesome in the summer and so cool that I would sit outside in the winter if it was open. The owner is really cool and you can tell that this is a neighborhood spot.

This place has the ability to cater to a very diverse crowd and palate, and is great fun in the summer while cozy in the cooler months. The best part about this bar are the delicious, farm-to-table inspired selections on the menu (which lists the locally sourced ingredients) and the friendly, down-to-earth nature of the staff and hostess. Even though it is more so a place to order a beer from the substantial list, the cocktails are not too shabby, either!

Awesome selection of drinks on tap, including Not My Fathers Root Beer. A hearty food menu, as well. Extremely cozy and inviting atmosphere. A huge outdoor patio during the warm months draws a lively and cheerful crowd. I'll be hibernating this winter by their pool table in a softly lit cove towards the back of the restaurant.

Great beer & great food!!! If you are looking for somthing different in the area this is the place to go. Has a very unqiue rocker vibe with dim red lighting inside. They offer a pool table as well as a huge patio for a nice summer day. Their original cocktails are amazing and their food menu changes seasonally. While some of the combinations may look intimidating they all taste amazing! Not a cheap spot but check out their weekly specials if you are on a budget.

This is my favorite bar in the Little Italy/Tri-Taylor neighborhood. The cocktails are top notch and innovative – check out Mother's Ruin, a combination of gin and hibiscus syrup. The food is a perfect mix of comfort and farm-to-table, I especially love the wood fired pizzas that come out on sawed off sections of tree stumps. In my opinion, the patio in the summer is better than Big Star's patio with its twinkly lights and chill crowd. If you're in the area check out this neighborhood gem.

P

Phenomenal hamburger and beer list. I'd also recommend their pizzas. Not a large menu, but comprehensive enough that anyone can find what they want. By far the best bar (food) on Taylor street.

M

Three Aces is not your typical Italian restaurant especially for the Little Italy Neighborhood. With one of the best beer gardens in the city Three Aces is a great spot to have drinks with friends or dine on basically anything on the menu. Their burger is one of the best ones in the entire city. Their pizzas are also excellent.

C
Cody Wolcott

Nothing better than an afternoon on the patio at Three Aces. They've got lots of beer, and a menu that varies depending on the season. Mondays are the day to go here, when pizzas go for half price. Best of all the patio almost always has seating. Try it!

K

Best bar on Taylor Street! Good selection of beer and rock N roll music.

Pretty good burger, after 11pm you can get a beer, shot, and burger for 13$ score!

This bar really represents Chicago I feel with their specials on Mallort and PBR! Excellent beer list and the munchie share-ables are super delish. The crowd in here is very eclectic - fantastic people watching. I can't wait to come back when it's warm out to enjoy their outdoor beer garden - it's bigger than most Chicago parking lots!

My Ace burger was pretty good. My girlfriend's also liked her Black paper spaghetti. It seems like very popular face so I need to come back and check the rest of their menu.

Very decent bar with a great outside patio. Great for the summertime. The kitchen does close kind of early compared to the other places in the area, but it's my favorite bar in that neighborhood.

Really, really good burgers, and the menu changes a lot. The drinks are awesome and their specialty cocktails are great. Also, really nice servers.

This place has great outdoor space with large picinic tables, perfect for a big groups and also for people watching. Great small plates- quasi gastro-pub. Large beer selection and friendly service. If ever in Little Italy area and looking to go to some place relaxed and reasonable in price definitley check ouf Three Aces.

Very cool gastro pub. The food is great. Order ahead for a large group and get a whole roast animal. We came with 25 and had a whole pig. The owner seemed excited to do it.

Mmmmm I love this place. So far, one of the eat burgers I've had in Chicago. I Always get good service when I go. I've eaten other things on the menu which was all okay but nothing compares to the burger. The menu is also very limited.

Went there for an Igo party. Drinks and bear list was nice. Ordered scotch egg, margharita pizza and a salad. everything taste great. They have nice patio also.

Great Cocktails, savory dishes, innovative Desserts. Garlic risotto is a gray breakfast.

I've driven past thisplacea million times and finally stopped in before a concert. The burger was awesome, and the pizza was great as well. It was dark inside we had to use the cell phone light to see the menu. The menu is limited but it's a bar. The menu had a variety of specialty food and enough for anyone to find a bite. The bar as has a wide variety of beers and a full bar, I recommend this place.

Consistently good service, a great patio, and good food make Three Aces a good choice no matter what. The prices are a little high for what is (or should be) a neighborhood pub, but they're worth it, for brunch, lunch, or dinner. Although I haven't been here on a Fri or Sat night during the school year, I've never had a problem getting a seat. The inside is nice, but I particularly recommend that you sit outside and people-watch and beer-drink.

We had the pork belly pizza and ace burger. Both seriously amazing! It was odd for a Friday night that they didn't have a few of the beers on the menu. We ordered one and they didn't have it. Then we ordered a different one and when we asked for a second they said they ran out. :{ Otherwise it was really good and will definitely go back.

Came here after a wedding and we were sat at a table in the back of the bar. Not sure if they were being courteous, or if they didn't want us in our suits messing with their hipster vibe. Overall a fun bar, good beer selection, and shuffleboard! !

Great beer selection but the food is mediocre. Try the beet pizza, though. It's the only unique food I've found on the menu.

Good place where to go on Taylor Street, the drinks are pretty good, even if the selction of beers is not so good (mainly american beers). It's plenty of university students during the nights.

My family, 2 young adult children, husband, myself, went into this Three Aces, obvious that we were looking for dinner tonight. We were placed in the cubbyhole outdoors toward the fence on a beat up looking picnic table. It was 10 minutes before the waitress arrived. She gave us menus and became annoyed when a question was asked because she seemed like she did her duty to get us menus and that we should be happy for her efforts of doing at least that. The bar selection seemed outrageously wonderful until some of the beers we wanted were unavailable (for a Saturday night??) The food items were very expensive but we were hungry and decided to spend a bit more than we wanted. Arrival took way too long. And.. OMG! What a surprise hubby and son got when their rice and mushroom dishes that cost $14 each was simply 1/2 cup thrown into a huge white bowl with some herbs on top. 1/2 cup!! (I cook alot at home so I know my portions!) My son looked and just laughed at this craziness! Hubby not so happy. I ordered the steak dinner, and my question that annoyed the waitress was, what is it? I was told I would get a salad in a special vinegarette, some special cheese, 8 oz filet, and something about duck eggs. I ordered it done medium. When it came, it was 3 small chunks of steak that had only ONE side cooked. The other sides were completely raw! I exaggerate NOT! On top of the steak was the cheese and then the salad with some kind of vinegarette. YUCK! There wasn't even salt or pepper on the picnic table. $29 for a pile of.. god knows what! Ughhhh! What happened to the duck eggs? I called for the waitress but she darted inside the building. For about $7 my daughter ordered the Black Kale salad. That came in a huge bowl and actually had enough for a meal. My problem.. Why didn't the waitress tell us about portion sizes? I've been to places where I came to eat a meal, but the waitress had said something like "if you are looking for a meal, that salad you ordered is small for dinner, why not try .. this". I think this waitress wanted the tip and didn't care otherwise. And she wasn't even the one who delivered the food. Our meals with 4 total beers cost $96.00. I SWEAR to you, we went down to Maxwell Street immediately after our "dinner" (appetizer) to Jim's Polish Sausage for our dessert (dinner). This place should be called Three Zero's because that's what I would give it. I suppose it is a cool bar for the college student scene, but certainly not a place to get a good hearty meal at a fair price. And the staff is not willing to tell their secrets about portions. Sorry, but for places that demand big fancy prices, they have got to do better than this. Fine and upscale places have dignities and manners, this place did not. An upscale place would not serve fine dinners on warped wooden picnic tables. First time, last time.

I was very disappointed with this place. I ordered the sausage and got a tiny little sausage for 9 bucks. Meanwhile my friends got decent cheese pizzas for 12 bucks. Had I known this I would have gotten the pizza instead. Also be warned, this place does not let you do multiple credit card payments.

First time here I gave the place 5 stars second time around I can't say the same. Service ok not once did the waitress come back to see if everything was Ok which the sandwiches were nothing but pure grease. My fries overcooked and what appeared to be from the bottom of the barrel. Had to go to the bar to ask for silverware as our lazy waitress was nowhere to be found. I don't know if it's just their lunch menu or staff at lunch but I would stick to dinner which was a much better dining experience. Bartenders great both times we were there.

This was my first visit tonight. I had planned on going to another restaurant, but this place came highly recommended, so I decided to give it a try. I was so disappointed. It took awhile to get my meal and when I finally got my food, my steak was not the medium rare I had ordered, but more like medium well. It was another long wait to receive my recooked food, which I ate all of since I was starving by that point and would have eaten just about anything put in front of me. The food was very mediocre, but I just didn't care at that point. During the wait, even drink refills took a considerable amount of time especially considering the heat and the annoyance of waiting for food when famished. Not only was I not happy with my food or the service, the $20 credit card minimum was a burden to everyone at my table since they just had drinks while I was the only one who had eaten and no one likes to carry cash at night. So, I ended up having to pay for everyone who didn't have cash with them since they didn't meet the minimum policy. No one pointed out that there was an ATM and we didn't think to ask, we were just flustered at being put on the spot and later when I talked to the manager was the ATM mentioned (plus no one likes getting railroaded into using those machines with all the additional 'convenience fees'). We worked it out amongst ourselves later, but on top of poor service, mediocre food, and a poor atmosphere, the added disadvantage of the credit card minimum made the whole experience entirely unpleasant. Management was not very sympathetic at all and offered no compensation for such an unpleasant experience. It's just not worth it when there are several more accommodating establishments with great food and service within walking distance that do not have minimum credit card policies.
