Avis sur Crush Chico
Probably about as good a meal as you can get in Chico. Wonderful Italian style dishes with some great cocktails. It's at a good price point too for the type of food it is. It's one of the places I would consider that you need to try if you spend time in Chico.
It's easy to leave a review for restaurants that disappoint, but I sometimes forget to review those that always meet or usually exceed our expectations. Crush is our "Cheers" and we love the service, the cocktails and especially the food. My sea bass special last night was spectacular and my husband always savors the filet. Great job making it through a tough staffing time with COVID too. Thanks Crush & Team!
A really great restaurant for a nice meal or just their happy hour. Their food has always been cooked perfectly. I always recommend their brussel sprouts. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender in the middle, with the beautiful roasted almonds on top! We also always get an order of their house-made bread pudding! It's a perfect end to an amazing meal.
We recently went for a birthday. Service was awesome and the restaurant is beautiful. We started with brushetta, which was tasty and had a large portion of mozzarella. I had gnocchi, which was okay but not amazing. Husband had the stroganoff and said it was disappointing--but why he ordered it was beyond me! It's basically stew meat over noodles. Son #1 had the filet mignon and it was tender. He said as good as 5th Street. Son #2 had the salmon and also said it was delicious. Maybe my husband and I just ordered the wrong dishes! Dessert was heavenly- birthday boy had the chocolate cake and we split a slice of cheesecake. Drinks were top notch. I would give it a 4.5 star if I could.
Hands down best restaurant to eat at. Never disappointed with anything we order!! Waiter/ waitresses are amazing as well. Highly recommend crush
I've been here 3 times now and the quality of the food and service has been superior each time. This is definitely a perfect date night destination. The first time I came with a friend. We sat in the lounge area. I wasn't prepared for the prices that time so I stuck to an appetizer and soda. Though, the size of the appetizer (calamari) was perfect to feel full without having leftovers. I came again with the same friend last month more prepared to spend money and it was absolutely worth it. We arrived around 9:30pm on a Saturday night. Their late night happy hour started at 10pm and the place had a fair amount of people. Not too many people, but enough that it was a tad difficult to hear my friend sitting across from me. Their happy hour drinks are $6 and are decently strong. The only thing that disappointed us this time was that after 10pm their kitchen largely shuts down. It wasn't a problem getting our entrees. However, we had been looking forward to getting a dessert my friend raved about and that was unavailable after 10pm. In hindsight, they did tell us the main menu wouldn't be served after 10pm and only their happy hour menu would be available after that. I just assumed the dessert would be on the happy hour menu. This past weekend, my boyfriend and I came here for a date. We arrived early in the afternoon around 4pm. So we were present for their afternoon happy hour. It lasted until 6pm. Both menus were fully available. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived. By the time we left, around 6:30, the restaurant was fairly full. The waitress was attentive, gave us time when we needed it, and made sure we enjoyed our meal. The prices reflect the high quality. The cheapest entree the last time I went was $19.50 and the most expensive, if I recall correctly, was $39. My favorite entree so far is the Chicken Parmigiana and cost $21. It was well worth it. I tried their truffle fries. I was a bit worried l might not like them because I've heard truffle oil can overwhelm a dish quite easily. I was blown away and the garlic aioli it was served with was perfect. They were available on the happy hour menu for $6.75. I absolutely recommend them.
Chicken Piccata was very good. They set a nice table for my birthday with "happy birthday" written in balsamic vinegar in the plate of olive oil for the bread. Tried the meatballs, ravioli, and dessert all were great. Will definitely be back.
Most amazing food especially the chicken parmesan, the brownie sundae was unbelievably delicious. The server and staff were top notch. It was my wife's birthday and they were so accommodating . I can't say enough great things about Crush. This is why we always celebrate special moments here.
Wine Wednesday. 30% off by the bottle. They have a really nice wine selection. And not overpriced, pretty reasonable for a restaurant. everyone in our group was very pleased with their meal. And I think we all ordered a different entree.
Amazing quality food and presentation. Wonderful and attentive staff were right there anytime my party of 4 needed them. They kept our glasses full and the food was not only quite fast, it was also great quality and I felt it was worth what I was paying. I suggest the Dragonlily (alcohol) drink, it was tasty and strong. Thank you to the staff for making our night even better.
Finally got a chance to eat here. Made a reservation for 5 pm. We arrived a little early and were promptly seated thank you "Ella". Our server got our drinks and orders perfectly right. Food came fairly quickly. I had a new York pizza and my girlfriend had the fettuccine chicken Alfredo. My pizza was perfect and her chicken was juicy and flavorful. We were very happy to have dined at CRUSH. Thank you very much for a wonderful experience!
This is a great place for dinner night out, hanging with friends, or date night.it often gets loud in there, so plan accordingly for what kind of night you want. Make reservations, because they are always busy.
My favorite restaurant in Chico. Incredible food, friendly and charming service, plus a relaxing atmosphere. I always make a point of one or two nights here when I travel to Chico.
We loved everything about this place! Tip- need reservations for the weekends and most days. We got the salmon and the rib eye, which were great. We also had the gorgonzola salad, and that was one of our favorite dishes there. For appetizer we got the mixed fried, I would pass on it because the whole thing looks the same but isn't, it's a mix of fried stuff like calamari, zucchini, lemons, red peppers and onions (not heavy on the calamari) For desert, we got the pasion fruit creme Brule, and it was very tasty but an acquired taste(sour/bitter notes, as passion fruit is) free parking on the weekends downtown and it's very near by.
I've been here 3 times in the last 2 years, steak every time. They have all been terrific and tonight's special was a NY strip and is the best I've strip Ive ever had. It also ranks #1 as the best $40 steak I've ever had.
The food is classy, the atmosphere is top notch and the wait staff treat you like a priority. This is a top tier restaurant. Food is made from scratch and the drinks menu has something for everyone. You have to try their happy hour and get a taste for them all, starting with the lemon drop. You will not be disappointed. This is not your average restaurant, so you will not pay average prices. You will get what you pay for. It should be noted their portions are generous for a restaurant of their caliber.
Food was very good and atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Our waiter was excellent and provided great service! We ordered truffle fries and the Luca pizza during happy hour both of which were delicious. I would recommend this place to any visiting or living in Chico.
Enjoyed our evening here SO MUCH! The atmosphere is lovely, and the design dampens the sound of so many voices so that we could have a normal voice level conversation. The meal and service were fabulous! Kind, attentive staff and fun personalities. HIGHLY recommend Crush for your next dinner out!
2/23/22: Always good! My husband and I were in town for a visit and enjoyed some food and drinks during happy hour. Everything was delicious, and we received great service from Collin. Crush was yummy. Stopped in for a quick drink, garlic cheese bread and meatballs!
Everything is always amazing here, I try to eat low carbs and this place has amazing meatballs, best I’ve ever had in fact. The prices are actually pretty fair for the quality of the food, service and atmosphere. This place gets busy so call ahead to make reservations. Oh ya, make sure you leave room for the cheesecake as well.
Crush is our favorite restaurant by far in Chico. We find ourselves in there at least once a week sometimes two. The food is amazing and the atmosphere feels like you're in the big city. But most of all, the thing that brings us back on the weekly is the staff. Customer service is this establishments top priority. Josh the manager is Amazing! No, matter how busy he is, he always takes the time to stop and say hello and to make sure that food and service we are receiving is everything we've come to expect and appreciate. The rest of the staff is amazing also, as I must assume they have been well trained by management and provide the utmost in customer service. I highly recommend Crush for all your special occasions. You won't be disappointed!
As I think back, I am pretty sure all of my visits to Crush have been excellent. Fantastic place for happy hour and pizza, a special (or casual) date or a dinner with parents. I recently took my son for a steak. Great Italian food and great with the meats!
Great food! Highly recommend any of there pizzas, especially a great deal during happy hour. However, happy hour fills up quick ! Best Pizza in chico by far! Service was slow at times but the really good food and classy vibes made up for it! Very good desserts too!
From being warmly greeted by a delightful hostess to our server Tom our experience was amazing. We ordered their Wedge Salad intending to share it. Tom must have read our minds as the Kitchen crew made us each one of the most delicious Salads ever! (See photos!) We then ordered our entree and yet again Tom had it split for us!! Each and every ingredient was FRESH and delicious!! I feel this place warrants 9 stars!!
If you want an upscale atmosphere and outstanding dining experience in Chico, this is it! Top shelf cocktails, beautifully crafted salads, amazing lasagna, and perfectly cooked steak dishes make this place in a class above all others.
Great Birthday dinner for my daughter! Excellent cocktails! Unique & fresh, from the Dragon Lilly to the Old Fashion. Perfect service & excellent food.
Ethan S did amazing service for us!! Never felt rushed and liked that we could take our time!! Lasagna I ordered was delicious!! Husband ordered the salmon and said it was amazing!! French Onion Soup was very good!! So was the Caesar Salad, crunchy and fresh!! Was a nice way to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary!!
First time there and very pleased. I ordered the Rib eye and split it with a friend and it was still a lot of food. Hands down the best steak you can get in chico! Cooked to perfection, loads of flavor. The loaded baked potatoe it came with was also delicious. The only thing they could do better is have more non alcoholic drinks. Otherwise, I rate this 5 stars.
Eating dinner at Crush was great. The food was superb and the service was above what was needed. I had eaten at another high end restaurant the night before and while it was very good, Crush was much better. Definitely going back again.
went here with my fiancé as a celebration for being recently engaged and for me finally getting to visit chico and i was NOT disappointed. the server was absolutely lovely, brought us out a gorgeous complimentary "she said yes" dish. i went on to get a pizza with a GF crust, stated i was coeliac and was reassured that this would be safe. when i say this is the best pizza i've had ever, i mean it. not even better GF pizza, just best pizza ever. when i'm back in chico i will ABSOLUTELY be coming back! also the mocktails are gorgeous
Let me start by saying the service and our waitress Stevie was excellent. The food was excellent! Started with bruschetta with fresh mozzarella cheese, bread was kind of soft, kind of firm but not break your tooth hard like some bruschettas are that I've had. I had chicken piccata and the chicken was so tender you could cut it with a fork. For dessert I had vanilla ice cream with a warm brownie. The whole meal was absolutely delicious. There were seven of us eating and we all agreed everything was awesome and we would definitely eat there again.
Mi novia and I had a fabulous time. The food was delicious with healthy portions. The wait staff were very professional and courteous. The prices were reasonable, considering that most nice Chico establishments now charge bay area prices. That being said, the food matched the price. I wouldn't consider it a fabulous value, but a fitting price for good food. We had 2 appetizers & 2 entrees: carpaccio, cauliflower, bolognese & 🍆 Parmigiano. This was our second or third visit.
Been there several times and have always had a wonderful time. Food, service, ambiance all on par with what I expect from a great Italian restaurant.
Crush is our favorite spot for date night. me and my wife love the Churro bread pudding, so please bring it back:)
Nice experience at Crush, my first time. Lots of happy hour crowd. Thins a bit at 6pm, then is still busy but not swamped. Went on a Friday night. The food was very good. Portions good sized and the food was generously topped. The drinks were good. Somewhat sporadic in quality during the happy hour rush. But, easily said, they know how to mix whatever your pleasure. Definitely putting Crush on my "go to" list.
Our server, Katie, was very impressive. Professional, personable and accommodating. My brother wanted to split a Wedge salad(who does that?), but she made it happen. Katie has a wealth of knowledge on their wines, cocktails and menu. All of which made for a great dining experience. My compliments to the chef, all the staff and especially, Katie👏
Originally from Long Island, New York, I’m a lifelong lover of Italian food, and it’s a rarity to find a place out here that truly hits home. Crush does it every time. My daughter goes to Chico State, and when I visit, this is our spot. Crush has become our mom-daughter date night go-to, and we’re never disappointed. The atmosphere is warm, the service is attentive, and the food is consistently delicious. The bruschetta is our absolute favorite — fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. Cheers!
Wasn't sure if this place would live up to the hype. I was very happy that it did. Arrived ten minutes before happy hour ended. Most places won't even bother to offer it to at that point but the server at the bar made sure we knew so we could get in an order before it closed off. Drinks were excellent. Gorgonzola salad was excellent. Crush pizza was excellent. Dessert was excellent. Price to food value was excellent.
This is definitely a great place for any small celebration. I suggest the fig and prosciutto pizza, which was really good, with gorgonzola and scallion. My wife had the ricotta gnocchi, which had a truffle cream sauce that was also very good. We liked the truffle fries and garlic aioli. Overall everyone in our group liked their options and the dish they chose. The plate art on the oil and vinegar dip was very cute. The Christmas decorations were a very nice touch as well, it made the place feel very cozy.
My first time at Crush, but won't be my last. A friend and I went for a casual dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Our waiter (didn't catch his name) was fantastic. The roasted brussels sprouts were amazing and a must try!! We also had the gnocchi with chicken and the sausage lasagna. The bread with dipping sauce was also delicious.
Very excellent staff, food, drinks. Loved all of it. We had the impressive bruschetta, chicken picatta, berry moscow mule, pizza. All of it was top notch. Chico over here surprising me. Keep it up! This will be my new fave place to come. Thank you, Crush for finding us a table when we were starving!!
My happy place! I have never been disappointed at Crush and yesterday evening was no differant. Shawn was are waiter and he could not have done a better job if he had a super hero cape on. Even gave me a tech tip. We started with a couple french 75s, cold and perfect. We ordered the bruschetta, I was so pleased with the cold pesto and creamy mozzarella on golden toasted bread. Julian was throwing pizzas, I love a hand tossed pie and there is not a lot of places in town that do it. This guy was amazing. We tried the BLT pizza, it wasnt your typical Italian pie but it was delicious and perfectly done. Next came the carpaccio, Crush changed the recipe a bit a while back added capers, those capers oh my goodness! I ordered a few green olives from Shawn just because I like them on the carpaccio. Chuck was the cook and we watched him magically plate several mouth watering salads. Before we left this magic land of food, Josh the manager stopped by to say thanks for eating with them. If you want exceptional food and service in a great atmosphere this is your place.
Great food and friendly staff. Gets super busy at happy hour! They could use more seating in the bar area but if you can manage to sit by the pizza oven it's awesome talking to the cooks and finding out what the best specials are.
Update: Found out it is cheaper to order directly through them, but some of my gnocchi was raw in the middle which was a bummer. Amazing food! Ordered delivery: Gnocchi, pasta pomodoro, Ceasar salad, and cheesecake. Split with my husband, so two entrees, one salad, and one dessert. Took off a star for price. It was $100 for dinner and I know times are tough for everyone but $50 each for dinner seemed excessive to me for what we got and I’m used to HCOL prices.
Service was superb. The ribeye was one of the best I've ever had (medium rare and every part of the steak was cooked perfectly) ...but our filet was way too undercooked for a medium rare. Bruschetta and truffle fries were sooooo good!!!
I'm sad to not be able to give the fanciest cocktail bar in town five stars, and the reason is something that's not immediately fixable. I really enjoy almost everything about Crush: the food is phenomenal, the drinks taste amazing, and the ambiance is very high dollar. I love the staircase you have to climb to get up (and the elevator), the staff is thoughtful and kind, and I appreciate the prices. Everything else is great. The only thing I don't like: the seats. The seating is not comfortable to me. If the seating was softer, I would give the place five stars. It's a nit-picky complaint and I'm really sorry about that, but seating is a big part of the overall experience. Thanks for everything else though Crush, you're killin it everywhere else.
Food is great, service is too. Could use some time to close for visible structure repairs that do effect the atmosphere. Hostess' could be a little more welcoming upon entering and not walk so far ahead of everyone when seating.
I went here for the first time this month after wanting to try for a long time and had an excellent time! Our server was fantastic. Seating- we had a half booth half chairs seating arrangement and as a short person you definitely sink into the booth seat enough to feel a little low, but it wasn’t uncomfortable, just hard to scooch over on Ambiance: restaurant is well maintained but I wouldn’t go again in the height of summer, it’s hard enough to cool a house, let alone a restaurant on the second floor. They did a great job for what they were working with Drinks: I had the dragon lily because I love fruity drinks and our server recommended it based on that, it was fabulous and I’d highly recommend Food: -rosemary bread oil/balsamic: omg this was so good and I ate WAY too much of it -cheesy bread appetizer: fantastic and I need more, this is a must get -Bruschetta with burrata: I was actually a little disappointed in the presentation of this. Flavorful ingredients but hard to split between people when you have to build your own, just my preference. -Entree Miso Salmon with substitution of mashed potatoes (instead of wasabi mash potatoes): I found the salmon a little dry and overcooked and found the miso flavor to be too overpowering. The mash was fantastic. Overall wouldn’t get this particular dish again. -Brownie: this was incredible. I was so full but this was so delicious and decadent there was no way I was leaving that uneaten. Thank you crush for the fabulous birthday and can’t wait to go back!
Food was absolutely delicious. started off kinda rocky at the beginning, we were seated and it took about 15mins for someone to ask us if we wanted anything to drink. After that though our serve did make it up to us and checked on us throughout the night. The food was so amazing I got the miso salmon and my bf got the ribeye steak. Both so good. The drinks were strong and delicious . We got kickboxer, dragon lily and a Paloma. Dragon Lilly was my favorite. Overall we will definitely be coming back!
Went on a very busy day . We ordered 3 different kinds of pizza that was very good. Poor waitress was frazzled but still things went ok. The check had two unexplained charges. But it was a decent time especially during such a busy day.
This place always has a great food and drink menu. Unfortunately the service the last two times I visited was quite slow, and the food I ordered was overly salted. It was still good, but could have been better. This place has great happy hour specials and is a nice place for basically any occasion; casual drinks with friends or a special dinner date. Our server we had most recently was great! I want to say his name was Josh?? He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He made excellent suggestions to accommodate dietary restrictions, and recommended a delicious cocktail (One Night Stand) to go with it! All in all, I will continue to return to Crush, but just expect a bit of a wait for food.
Heard a lot about Crush, so we had to go check it out. The food was amazing! The garlic cheese bread was personally my favorite. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because, although our waiter was very nice, he forgot about us for the majority of the time we were there. Thankfully other waiters were also very kind, and they helped us out with refills and other stuff like that, whenever we would ask.
My friend and I weren't expecting to be dropped off at such a high end type of restaurant. We'd asked the Uber driver just to take us to a nice bar/ grill. But when we got there we said,"why not?" I'm glad we did. They had anazing bread an oil for starters. My margarita was amazing. The pizza was very unique and tasy. My friend very much enjoyed his steak. And we ordered this appetizer that was their version of a fondue and bread. Lord it had layers of such tasty stuff!! So very unexpected for us. But I would highly recommend for a great date night ;)
Crush was overall a great place to dine out! There is a strong selection of appetizers. We tried the meatballs, Brussels, crab stuffed peppers and bruschetta, all extremely well done
Very nice entrance looks upscale nice lobby bar very busy and a bit loud in the bar area service was still good at the bar even with the crowd once we were seated it was better not loud food was great and the service matched definitely would eat there again but will have to try something new next time bottle prices on champagne were pretty good too
Loved being on the patio outside at night, especially during the Farmers’ Market fun! The food was worth the return and the drinks make it a sure thing the next time I am in town. My friend and I had a wonderful time here. While the host was sub-par, our server was polite and helpful. Give it a go for sure!
Been here in Chico about 7 years and never been here. What was I doing. Amazing restaurant. Great ambiance and stellar customers service. The filet was amazing....better than 5th Street. I would have given a 5 stars but the Tiramisu wasn't exactly what we expected. Everything else was great. We had a reservation and sure helped get seated quickly.
This was an underwhelming night, maybe we ordered the wrong things. Menu was extremely expensive for what you get, quality and quantity both lacking. Manhattan chowder was bland, chicken ricotta too lemony and presentation just sad. Same for eggplant parm, probably cost 3 bucks to make but cost like 26. Cocktails way overpriced. But it's on par for Chico, not really a culinary destination.
Food was really good, I got the Gnocchi dish and the sauce was really good. The only complaint I had was when I got my dish I got 10 Gnocchi for 23 dollars. Thought that was a little high for 10 pieces. Not very filling, so I would get the pizza more bang for your buck
My wife and I had News Year dinner here. Service was on point and dinner was wonderful. ***** Next Visit Valentine's Day ***** We came in to make reservations a month in advance to secure a booth. I was told they were booking up and for a booth I would need to come in at 5:30, that was fine so we locked it in. We arrived 5:20 on Valentine's Day and were shown to a table in a drafty corner, I believe to be one of the worst tables in the room. We mentioned to our server that we booked in advance and requested a booth. She apologized but said this is the only table we have available for us. The server was very pleasant and tried to smooth things over but still was not able to relocate us. She mentioned to the manager that we were not pleased and he came over and made matters worse due to poor attitude. He mentioned to us that we could move to a different table but we had to dine and dash and be out in 45 minutes... He said he was sorry and walked away, his apology was not sincere by any means. Not even to offer comped drinks or dessert. The food was good but the whole ordeal left a bad taste in our mouth. I doubt we will return... My ratings above are for the visit on New Year's, definitely not for our visit on Valentine's Day.
Overall this place is good. Tasty quality food. A pleasant enough atmosphere (although a bit warm) and professional service. One HUGE thing though......the bread they serve pre dinner comes with oil and balsamic......and the oil is VEGETABLE OIL!!! 🤮🤮🤮🤮 Are you actually serious Crush? Absolutely disgusting! Not only is "vegetable" oil (it's not even from vegetables) a super highly chemically treated toxic sludge that is high heat treated which makes it oxidized, then bleached, and is rancid and deodorized so you can't tell......beyond all that, its NOT a dipping oil. What in the world are you guys thinking? 🤮. Poor poooor move. Even moreso for a place that presents themselves as a classy restaurant. Make it pure olive oil or stop serving that atrocity altogether. Horribly foul and took a solid 2 stars off my rating.
I'm not a big fan of this place. The food isn't bad, but it's not great either. The service varies: sometimes they are very busy and other times I've had a good server. The atmosphere is a concrete loft with little separation between the bar and dining area. As such it can be very noisy and hard to have a conversation with your date.
Food was good but the service was just okay.
The waiter was excellent. The food was also excellent. When we first got there, open tables that remained open for the entire 45 minutes that we waited. Nice wine list just overpriced.
3 items order Bruschetta Honey nut squash ravioli Bolognese Bruschetta Basically comes with exquisite bread on top of a bed of olive oil and a balsamic reduction. There's a piece of (burrata? Buffalo mozzarella?) doused in pesto and some expertly sauted cherry tomatoes... Where this goes wrong is it's basically a "build your own bruschetta" the buffalo mozz(I'm assuming) is refrigerated and hard and not creamy at all. Makes the texture kinda grainy in your mouth. Plus, you have to move all the bread around to soak up the evoo and balsamic prior to building your bruschetta and there's not enough tomatoes to go round. Raviolis While good are not great. They are one dimensional and lack a complexity of flavor. It's what I would cook for an average house guest but not someone I cared about. Bolognese Actually pretty good .. If you don't mix it. And just eat the surface. The ricotta (I'm assuming) or cream on the bottom mutes all the flavor. Great idea but your sauce needs way more rendering and more flavor to combat this Service. I can't even remember our servers name. I don't think she ever said it. Barely checked in on us and never once acknowledged that our app came out after our entrees. Young. Blonde. White. Um memorable. What I will say and what was the highlight of our service was a young woman named Kayla? Kyla? Upon seeing that she was delivering an app after our entrees for delivered she immediately apologized and promised to talk to our server about it. She was both personal able and friendly and exuded hospitality much more so than our server. Sadly. This has been my best experience in Chico so far. I wish I could rate it higher but maybe I'll have better seats next time and just order the pizzas which all looked amazing.
Good not great. When they have French onion soup it’s great and their stroganoff is good to great depending on when you get it. Love the cheese garlic bread. I’ve tried a handful of other things and been underwhelmed. Still my second choice for Italian food in town. Service and atmosphere are nice.
Crush has a good happy hour, friendly staff, and a nice outdoor seating area during the warmer months. I wish they would change up their happy hour menu, I feel like it's been the same since they opened almost ten years ago... same goes for their decorations, and place needs a facelift. Also, I've never seen such disgusting bathrooms, yuck!
Very nice ambiance . Our server was excellent . My son ordered the Salmon for thirty three dollars and said it was excellent . I ordered a salad that was half a head of iceberg lettuce cut in half with dressing pored over it and a pepperoni pizza dripping in grease . I can honestly say I've had better from Little Caesars .
Have been there many times. Usually great food and atmosphere. Good for couples or a “small party” but if you have a large party and you plan on splitting the bill, STAY AWAY!! They refused to split up our checks even though they said they would into fours. At least we would know who ordered what and make it easier for our party to pay. Then, when we got the whole bill, we asked them to split it at least into four people (four bills), they said they could but then when we asked, the waiter said for us to go talk to his manager. The waiter went straight to the manager, then the manager charged at us and accused us of not wanting to pay and said we could just leave and he would call the POLICE when NOTHING was said about not wanting to pay. We just wanted them to split the bill into fours like they said they could and would do, and DIDN’T. The manager is NOT customer friendly at all. We will NOT be back. EVER and neither will any of the rest of the party we were with.
I've only been here once and, but it was so disappointing and overpriced I don't expect to go back. I had the Eggplant Parmesan and it was one of the blandest I've ever had. The amount of eggplant was also far too much compared to the middling amount of the other ingredients, and it was mushy as poorly prepared eggplant tends to be. There was a very minimal attempt at cooking it correctly to add crispness and texture, yielding a few bites at one corner that was almost enjoyable. And it was a $26 entree. My father had the roast chicken ravioli, which was slightly better but still underwhelming, low in quantity, and the sauce, which was the main point of interest in the dish, was thin and there was not nearly enough for all the ravioli. This place is overpriced, poor at presentation, and I'm amazed that it has so many good reviews. Perhaps the chef had a bad day, perhaps people think it's good because of how expensive it is or because of the nice decor.
The Caesar salad was perfect as usual. I always add shrimp. This time I ordered the garlic cheese bread. It was awful! I expected melty cheese and garlic. Instead I received bread with a very strong Gorgonzola paste. No melty cheese at all.
Went here for an anniversary, on a slow day, server even asked if we were celebrating anything and we said yes and why and then didn't even get bread. Ordered the 6 hour Bolognese, which was just flavorless. Also had the margarita pizza which was oily and just gross. Not with the prices or the hype.
It’s been a while since I’ve last eaten at Crush and my husband and I were looking forward to a rare date night. What a miserable experience. First it was extremely hot in the restaurant. Our server was complaining about the heat but said she really felt bad for the kitchen staff (I agree!). If your air conditioning can’t cool your restaurant, CLOSE! The bar was unable to make the first cocktail I ordered (a vesper martini, not hard. I make them at home) so I ordered another of my favorites (a lemon forward drink) but it was waaay too sweet (even with the addition of a slice of lemon), not at all refreshing like in other bars. My wine with dinner was cold an delicious. My husband didn’t care for his cocktail so ordered red wine with his meal. His first choice was unavailable so he selected another. It was actually very nice. The wines were the only positive thing about our meal. The carpaccio was lacking any seasoning or flavor but the frito misto was too highly seasoned (this is coming from a salt lover). The green, herbal dip and marinara with the frito misto were delicious. The Caesar salad was inedible, I took a few bites and gave up. The dressing was heavy and had too much anchovy, not enough lemon (or other acid) and had a strange aftertaste. Maybe the basil or sun-dried tomato ?? In a Caesar?? The lettuce was fresh and crispy. The presentation of the salad was beautiful. Our main course was the roasted chicken ravioli in a lemon cream sauce (again I took only a few bites). The sauce was nauseatingly heavy and lacking a lemon flavor. If you’re advertising a lemon cream sauce, perhaps add lemon? My husband has always been a fan of the Crush bolognese but tonight it was a complete miss. He packed it to go but I’m not sure he’s going to eat the remaining food. It was so miserably hot we passed on dessert and went to a local ice cream shop. That was the highlight of our evening. I don’t know what is wrong with Crush tonight but hopefully it was a rare occurrence. I won’t be back to find out. My date nights are important and this one was a disappointment.
Don’t order online thru the crush website they will cancel ur order!!! Wack!!
After a laughably bad experience here a couple of years ago, my wife and I ventured in tonight to give them another shot. The first table we were seated at, we were being splashed by their water feature. We requested another table and while their faces told us they thought we should stick it out in the splash zone, they moved us. At 5:30 we were seated at our new table. We perused the menu and decided on drinks and apps but unfortunately never got to order. Despite 4 or so different waiters walking by, our table seemed to be unclaimed. Knowing this meal would cost close to $150, we decided to cut our losses after being ignored for 20 minutes. On the way out, my wife politely let the staff at the host stand know that we have been waiting for 20 minutes with no one stopping by our table for a drink order and we were going to just go ahead and leave. Both staff members stared at us blankly and never came up with a response of any kind- good or bad. This was almost identical to the service we received on our first visit in 2023, but that time we were inexperienced with what was to come and sat through an excruciating 2.5 hour long experience filled with wrong drinks and food and almost nonexistent service. Do your self a favor and go anywhere else.
