As my husband and I entered BJ's we were seated. Our waiter was Joshua L. He greated us with such a warm smile. He was so kind, attentive, and knowledgeable on any questions we had on the menu. Our food was served so briskly and our cups were never empty. Thank you for making our dinner date so special!
Visited this location at around 9:00 p.m. on a Thursday. It looked extremely busy, but once we walk through the doors there was available bartop seating which meant no wait. The service was extremely good, we had our order taken Right away, and everything was brought to the table quickly and without fail, everything from our water the condiments, and food. Our food was well prepared and delicious, nothing out of the ordinary for BJ's but they satisfying delicious meal. Tried the new BJ's Porter that they are offering, and it was a nice change to the previous Porter, this tasted smoother, and had that nice ending of chocolate if you like that, I think it's my new favorite BJ's offering on their beer menu.
On Sunday September 14th, I was given a beautiful baby shower! I am forever grateful for the amazing customer service, quality of food, extra time they gave and the quick responses to my guest request. So many great memories, love, and laughter all in one place BJS!! A very special Shout out to Angela for going above and beyond her manager duties by treating all my guest including myself, aunt, and nana like family. You are an amazing lady Angela!! May god bless you! 🙏🏻 sending you all my love especially in this difficult month ❤️
I just wanted to shout out server Thuy H for her amazing service. My husband and I visited BJ’s with our two your old this past weekend and for those who have toddlers, you know it’s always an unpredictable experience when deciding to eat out at a restaurant with them. Without even asking, Thuy brought out a bag of goldfish and a small fruit salad for our son to enjoy while we waited to place our order and receive our food. This small gesture was so thoughtful and kept our son busy enjoying his little snacks before lunch. She did a great job anticipating our needs and made the experience the best we’ve had at BJ’s!
Went here after work to meet up with my brother and his wife for some drinks. I had two glasses of the tatanka stout and tried the double mango IPA all 3 were excellent IMHO! I then decided to try the jambalaya plate for dinner 🍽️ which turned out to be really delicious 🤤 especially when you haven't ate nothing all day, as you can see in my before and after pics of my plate. But I must say that asking for the extra sauce on the side set the jambalaya over the top for me! Next visit I will try it with some pasta to see which one turns out to be the best. Next time we're working in the area I definitely have to go back again, everybody was nice and welcoming for a first timer to the restaurant. And the atmosphere made it that much better plus we had a table in the bar for happy hour👍🏽
1/24/24 We came in for a late dinner and were seated within 10 minutes. Our waitress, I believe Marin was her name did good job. I like the fact that I did not have to keep looking to refill our drinks. I always like ordering their Chicken Parmigiana with Pasta and my wife likes to order the Jambalaya when we are eating here. The place is nice and loud. It's always nice to see some games on their big TV's.
We came here for the pizooki meal deal, which was pretty good! I got the Texas style fried chicken, and it was seasoned well and very crispy. As for the pizooki, I ordered the strawberry shortcake, which was delicious! The only downside of this location was our waiter, who was very inattentive, seemed like he was in a rush when it came to our table, did not bring water/other items we asked for, and was not kind. I will say though the other waiters/waitresses were very attentive and respectful. Otherwise, this location is pretty good! I recommend the pizooki meal deal!
I dont come to BjS often but when I do its mainly for a late night dessert. The pizookies are so good. But I wish they came with 2 scoops instead of one. The best ones are the cinnamon roll pizookies and the strawberry shortcake. Cant go wrong with either. Or get both. The service is always good when I go so no problem there.
Came here twice and both times the service was not pleasant. For my first time here, I decided to join the waitlist online since it was Friday and I thought there would be a lot people. Arriving to the restaurant, it turns out that there was a lot of people and I went up to the stand to make sure that I am added to the waitlist and how much time I have to wait. One of the front desk hostess said I was on it and had to wait around 10 minutes. After waiting for 30-40 mins with no call, I went to ask how much time we have to wait and they said that my name and my party was never added. what?!?!?. I wanted 30 minutes when you said that my table would be ready while being added to the waitlist 20 mins prior and it turns out my name wasn’t even in there? The second time I decided to eat here I chose to do take out because I wasn’t willing to have this incident happen again and it still didn’t turn out smooth. I order online and decided to pick up and when I got to the restaurant to pick it up when it clearly sent me a text message and online that my order was ready, they told me that I still have to wait for it. I ended up waiting 10 minutes and I had to go back to make sure if it’s ready or not and it turned out THAT IT WAS ALREADY READY and it’s sitting in the shelve. My pizza WAS COLD. The server could at least apologize for not noticing but just handed my cold pizza without saying a word. I wanted to give you guys a second chance but yall just keep on making me wait and wait. I don’t think I can come back ever again
The pizza was excellent as was the Belgian beer. The service however was shitty. That is being nice. I sat at the bar and was repeatedly ignored by the two bartenders. One was occupied on his phone and the other was busy flirting with the servers. To put it clearly they failed miserably on number 2 and 3 of the 5 principles of gracious hospitality. If I was a critic the review would be scathing. To be clear. I travel a lot and am an excellent tipper. Your bar staff are both in need of serious attention. Because the customer is not a female they might as well be invisible. How long does someone have to look directly at your bartender waiting for them to look at the customer? My credit card sat in the cup with my tab for over 20 minutes. Had they ever made eye contact, looked my direction, noticed my card in the cup or my wallet on my to go box they might have cashed me out. Next time I'll go to the yard house where service is always top notch.
On a Thursday night, was able to walk right in and sit down without a line. Front desk staff is happy and accommodating. Ordering went quick as well as the food prep and delivery time. The food itself, ...well that's where things went south; the flavor and look of the burger and fries was sub par, the meat tasted like frozen patty multi packs you would get from smart n final and not much seasoning. The fries on top of being cold also had no flavor; so make sure ask for ranch or something to dip them in. Also had the cookie ice cream and that was warm and paired well with the ice cream, but I remember from years back that treat was larger in size unless the portion size was related to the meal deal. The portion sizes for the $13 meal specials were a bit small as well, and while I get that food costs can be a factor on top of labor costs for business owners, there is too much competition to offer sub par quality, size and lack of seasoning. The ambiance of the place was ok with with the TV's on the walls and not to much in regards to volume level. The restrooms were clean enough and the parking lot during rain was a bit cramped but that's of course to be expected and not reflected here. All in all BJ's needs to step up their food and quantity game, as for a now I'll have to stay away until that happens
The bad: our friend found a hair stuck in his burger. Its not a stuck on top, he was pulling it from the burger! The server did an excellent job to let the kitchen remake it for him. He was deep diving inspecting his burger 2nd time if there were any weird substances inside. We went in after the Frosty Farm trip so it was 30 mins before closing and we were the last to leave.
Sat at bar area and server never came around we finally moved to the bar and the bar tender was helpful with taking order and drinks. Food was average as it was appetizers. The drinks were good. Place was not busy so there was little of an excuse not to attend customer’s at a reasonable time. If you’re hungry go to Lucille’s next door.
Extremely disappointed in the customer service we experienced tonight. We ordered a few items and decided to order another side once our food came out. The waitress disappeared the entire time. She never brought out our fries. We looked over and she was chatting with all the girls in the front desk for 10 min. We continued to wait until 20 min passed and we had to call for another server who was so attentive. Our server came back and slammed the coke on our table and she never once apologized for not checking on us or her other tables. We kindly asked if we could have it to go since she took so long and she laughed in our faces saying they didnt do that. We understand its busy but the type of service we recieved by CHLOE C WAS TERRIBLE and extremely RUDE. This type of behavior should not be excused. We usually love coming to this location and I have never had a bad experience until today. Please follow up with this cashier and train her properly on how to give good customer service.
Terrible Experience! Never Coming Back! I recently visited BJ’s in Chino Hills, and it was, hands down, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We arrived during happy hour, but despite being there on time, we were made to wait over 50 minutes for a table. To make matters worse, the restaurant stopped seating people for over 30 minutes, clearly to avoid letting anyone order from the happy hour menu. The excuse they gave was that the kitchen was backed up with food orders, but it felt like a deliberate attempt to push us past happy hour. When we were finally seated, our server was kind, but that was the only positive aspect of our visit. The food was absolutely terrible. My chicken wasn’t fully cooked or warmed up, and all of our dishes were cold and tasted bad. To top it off, I was upcharged for sweet potato fries, but I didn’t receive the rest of my meal, which included couscous, salad, and pita bread—very odd and frustrating. But the worst part? We all ended up with food poisoning and diarrhea as early as 30 minutes after the meal. Out of our group, one person even contracted Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD), which is extremely concerning. We had two elderly people, a pregnant woman, a toddler, and two adults in our group, all of whom were looking forward to our birthday dinner celebration. I would never have expected a restaurant like BJ’s in Chino Hills to serve food that didn’t meet basic Serve Safe standards. This experience was not only disappointing but also dangerous. I would strongly advise anyone considering a meal at this location to think twice. We will never return to this BJ’s and hope others take caution.
