I ended up here on the first day of Football. Dal Vs Phi on a Thursday night. I ended up at the bar for a beer & a sandwhich. Liquid Candy Hazy IPA. Sweet but strong. I ordered dinner & halftime and another beer. My bartender was attentive and patient with me. Great customer service. Best bar ever to watch Football. Food is amazing. Wood Ranch has been my favorite restaurant for over 15 years. Can't wait to come back again. It never gets old 🏆 💪 🥳

Whiskey Berry Smash is a discontinued menu item but they still prepared it for me; it did not disappoint. The Tennessee Peach was great, and paired it with their Tri Tip Salad, which was pretty darn amazing.

We just visited today 5/24/25 we were a large party of 20! Samantha our server was beyond Amazing!!’she handled our large party with such grace and poise. Such a kind and welcoming demeanor. Our whole table we can not say enough about her. We had a group of various ages, the seniors in our group could really appreciate such quality customer service as they remember hospitality was prime. Went for a party. They were able to accommodate 30 of us at 1 table!! Service was beyond excellent. Tri tip lunch was $20.00. I got the mashed sweet potatoes w extra butter and brown sugar on the side. The bread was do delicious and is complimentary w the meals. The coleslaw for me was not great, but my taste is my taste.

Really nice outdoor seating. I would advise coming in before the dinner rush, (before five). we had a Local showing us a spot and so we knew to do this, and we had the whole entire outside to ourselves for a majority of the dinner. The beef ribs were by far the best menu item as well as the loaded potato and the corn was perfectly grilled. We came for a birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised with a Sunday at the end. We tried the brisket and the steak. The steak was perfectly cooked. The brisket was a tad dry. Since we had 15 people, we had two servers, which was excellent to get the orders in quickly. Accommodated child in our party very well .

Nice atmosphere. Restaurant was very busy on a Saturday at 3pm. Salads are nice and cold and lettuce crisp--loved the added fresh corn. We had BBQ ribs and the were so tender and delicious.

It was crazy packed yesterday but this is a go to for us. We get the steak salad medium rare with blue cheese instead of the dressing on the menu and a a side piece of blackened salmon!! Perfect for us to share for lunch. If we are hungrier we add the spinach dip. Yummy..

It was our first time visiting Wood Ranch and we are so happy we did. Our server Jesse was so attentive, kind and friendly. He took his time to explain the different cuts and what we couldn’t miss out on. We sat in the patio and it was so peaceful and quiet with the fire place. We truly enjoyed our meals and cocktails. I believe the last time I was at a Woodranch was over 7 years ago. I just remembered going here for my birthday at another City, and remembered their TRI-TIP being amazing. After so long it is still amazing. I ended up eating here celebrating my dad's birthday, and getting togo twice before I could get out a review. So I will be writing on both the dining experience and the togo experience. This by the way is during post Covid. Dining In Anyone that is planning to eat here they do take your name and your phone number so you can feel free to walk around the Chino shops until they text you that your table is ready. Tables seems spaced a good amount apart from each other, and the time we went we did have a nice server. She recommended popular items and made it easier to order for the family. Togo I completely didn't know that they had a togo section of the restaurant through a different entrance. They even have a step on the bottom of the door to open the door without your hands. There is also a 10 min parking area for anyone picking up, making it super easy to find parking and getting your order. I do have to mention that you do need to ask for utensils or other things like napkins if you want them. They also accept Apple Pay for anyone that was wondering. Food Both dining in and togo we seemed to have ordered almost the same food. I'll list the food that we have gotten: Kids Sliders with Fries - These burgers were perfect size for my kid, and the fries were amazing. I believe fries tasted sorta like McDonald's fries, but with them actually being fresh, and being able to see the skin on them as well Kids BBQ Pork Ribs with Fries - Fries are the same, so good, but I would say the Ribs were a bit on the dryer side. They did have a good flavor, and I think its a great amount for a kids portion Tri Tip 10 OZ- This is a MUST have. I had to order this Medium Well due to my wife being pregnant, but still it was juicy and delicious. Be sure to ask for their creamy horseradish that has chives in it as well. BBQ Beef Ribs - These ribs were packed with flavor, but a little more on the tougher side. We ended up getting 4 because of the pricing, you can see it would make sense to just get a few more. BBQ Chopped Salad Chicken - So good, order it! Nice and cold (how all salad's should be) and great flavor with fresh ingredients. Even the Corn is corn from the Cobb. Sides Loaded Mash Potatoes - Packed with Bacon, cheese and mashed potato's. Macaroni and Cheese - Good, what you should expect from Mac and Cheese Peanut Coleslaw - I believe one of the better sides, different then the typical ones with mayo Sweet Potato Fries- Just as good as the Fries, something they do with their fries, so good. It's been a great experience no matter dining in or getting togo, and we cant wait to go back. Just need to make sure we space it out, because well you know how bbq is, it's so good but you cant have it all the time! Until next time!

I think this is one of the best restaurants in Chino Hills. The fried shredded onion appetizers are delicious. I also recommend the BBQ salad. The water is good too.

Alway a great experience at Wood Ranch. They definitely use great Ingredients because there food is so tasty. The brisket is to die for. Always tender. Atmosphere is also spectacular.

Wife and I continue our recent pattern of medical appointment and eating well. I must profess that I don't usually go to chain restaurants. However, my experience at Wood Ranch was so good that I must re-examine why I automatically equate chain establishments with not as good a dining experience. It was definitely a case of bias confronted and rejected. Food: we shared a ribeye steak, a Natalie's salad. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and wife had hot water with lemon to drink. First the ribeye is a large cut (14 oz?) perfectly cooked Angus beef to medium. It was tender, juicy, the delicious wood smoke wafting off of it. In fact, it had that elusive mouth feel when I bit into it that I wondered if it's gone through some dry aging process. Natalie salad we ordered had that tangy, citrusy dressing with fresh greens and avocado. It sure helped set our palate to appreciate the full goodness of our ribeye. For the Arnold, it's quite good. But I would ask for easy ice and a 70/30 blend on lemonade to tea ratio next time. It was a hot day and the quickly melting ice thwarted the drink's taste quite rapidly. But it's not on the restaurant or our server to account for 100+ degree day. Any restaurants that could've done so on the fly deserves its Michelin star and, as much as we liked Wood Ranch, it was not quite a Micheline caliber place. Service: It was above par for restaurants of this caliber. We were seated quickly. Our order was entered quickly. Since we told our server that we were starving, she probably helped get us our food out more quickly. Kudos! Ambience: The decor was kind of American Huntsmen Woodsy. It was not as in your face, fake-kitschy-fun as you'd find on the Strip in Vegas. Well, they were going for a theme and definitely hit the mark. Not sure if I fully bought into this look but, heh, food was great, service good and the ambience was unobtrusive enough. In final analysis, I'd unequivocally recommend Wood Ranch in Chino Hills to anyone who hankers a hunk of meat. Its food is unexpectedly excellent, menu priced reasonably. I would definitely come back and try their other menu items.

A classic hamburger to eat with all 5-senses. Just look at it! Yes, it tasted as good as it looked. A bold, clean, and juicy chunk of hamburger meat between a brioche bun with inner facings perfectly golden and crispy from the grill. The bed of lettuce, tomato, and pickles are stacked under the meat, getting all the juiciness and keeping the integrity of the bottom bun. The caramelization of the grilled onion tops it off with another layer of flavor. This is a classic hamburger!

This place is clean and has a kid-friendly menu, so adults can enjoy amazing food while picky eaters are satisfied too. My favorite dish is the Natalie Salad with blackened chicken, and their blackberry martini is amazing.

Enjoyed the steak salad. Serv ice was attentive. Was quiet enough to have a great conversation. Can't go wrong.

We came here after a relaxing day at Glen Ivy. We live in Visalia,CA so we didn’t know the area. Saw the reviews and thought we would give it a shot. We had the best server named Brandon. He was so sweet and super hospitable. He took really good care of us. We went with his recommendations and he didn’t disappoint. Best Tri Tip and Ribs hands down!

Everything I have tried on the menu has been absolutely delicious. Service is always wonderful, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. My favorite item on the menu is the fire roasted half chicken, so much flavor and always cooked to perfection! Everyone in my family also loves coming here and have always loved their plates, even my 4 year old!

Which I could probably called it a super Classic Classy burger, the type you see in your dreams. Fries and bread Are great too nothing to complain about the food. It’s started shaking we came in at a shift change right before the rush hour walked in to their doors. So we were there without a server for longer than most people are ok with, but we were approached by what seemed like manager and took care of us until the new server was set. Arrived on time for our reservation and was immediately seated. Mike, our waiter, was very kind and efficient. He brought our drinks, and mom got a rasberry Iced tea (noncaffeinated) and loved it.. he then took our order. I got a sirloin steak, and when it was a bit too rare, he took it back. The manager Jason came by soon after and made sure we were not upset and offered me a free house salad. I said sure and soon my steak came back hot and cooked to perfection. I then discovered there was also horseradish sauce for the steak, and it was delicious. My side was a peanut coleslaw and so good my mom was also eating it. She got a chopped chicken salad and said she adored it! Finally, after eating almost that as well as the house salad, we even ordered dessert. We got a warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. The cake was like a souffle and filled with warm chocolate that was so divine I felt like we were in Paris. Again, the manager came by to make sure we were happy, and we reassured him we were so pleased with the entire meal we felt like we were in a dream! This was a fine upscale restaurant with lots of parking and so many tables it was the largest wood ranch bbq restaurant i have ever seen. It was in a large outdoor mall and close to the Hilton Hotel we were staying in. I have to say one of the best eating experiences of my life. I wish I lived near here, but we had come here from. The hotel as we had to escape the fires in Los Angeles as our power went out and mom is very old and recovering from surgery. We were so scared, and when we finally calmed down and went to eat, it was so needed that I almost cried from how happy I felt . I strongly recommend this place it was a five-star restaurant! Everything we tried was fantastic! I had the tri tip salad, which was flavorful and filling despite being kinda healthy. My brother had half a chicken and 2 bps of a cow in a BBQ combo, with potato and roasted broccoli which was ever so crispy. The garlic rolls were pillowy and aromatic. My parents' orders included tender baby back ribs, moist pulled pork with crunchy edges, mashed sweet potatoes, peanut coleslaw, and a hibiscus margarita which did not disappoint.

We needed food for a last-minute family get together. I ordered the 16 person bundle package the day before our event. I was able to call in and easily place the order with all the meats that we wanted and it was available on time for pick up. Our family loved the brisket, pulled pork, and of course the garlic rolls. Everyone was surprised with how affordable the bundle package for the amount of food we got.

An excellent all around BBQ place, with the polish of a resort. Great service! Even with the high volume of traffic, they still provide high quality service. I've been here a couple time and while I haven't had everything on the menu, everything I've had so far has been really good. From the brisket to the claw chowder to the dessert... excellent! My one personal quibble is that I wish it wasn't so busy/loud like most family restaurants. But again, that's just a personal thing and not a knock. Definitely not date night venue... but if you're looking for good BBQ, this place does that!

We loved Natalie's Salad - so fresh and flavorful - and the shredded onion straws with BBQ sauce were the perfect crispy, tangy start. For our mains, we enjoyed the tender tri-tip, juicy pulled pork, and fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs, each with that signature Wood Ranch smoky BBQ taste we love. The sides didn't disappoint either: creamy mashed potatoes, rich macaroni and cheese, fresh steamed broccoli, and their warm, soft garlic rolls that are impossible to resist. Lauren checked in at just the right times and made sure our drinks stayed full, our plates were cleared promptly, and that we were enjoying everything. Everyone was very pleased with their dishes. I ordered steak and fries that I fell in love with. Steak had great flavor and was really lean. Decided to come here for dinner since it didn't seem too busy. The food was amazing, very filling! Staff is attentive and very helpful. My only thing is the lighting is dim inside the dining area, so it was a little difficult to read the menu. Other than that, i genuinely enjoyed my experience!

This was a great find for me as I had just moved to Chino Hills and this was my first visit to a restaurant in the area; will definitely return, good food and service.

I did go on a Friday night which could be why the service was slower than usual. There wasn't many checks on refills and we were sat outside on a chilly night and had to request the heater instead of being offered. Food was really good, atmosphere was nice and our server was very polite just really busy.

Good stuff, love their Barbecue, rolls are killer, service is ALWAYS good and attentive to our needs. The atmosphere is warm an ranch house like with wood ceilings and walls. A GREAT warm, orange glow permeates this place. Booths are big and comfortable. Love coming here. Make your visit happen. Oh, and get the fried onion strings.... you're welcome! #BrokerDon

Ordered the Pork Ribs and Tri Tip... neither tasted smoked or fire grilled. They were tender... but not even a hint of smoke. I expected more flavor.

Wood Ranch is a standard steakhouse with all the fixings. Our range of dishes included a tri-tip salad, tri-tip sandwich, grilled salmon, and BBQ chicken w/sauce on the side. All we're cooked to order and served hot. Portions were fair, but they'll keep bringing bread ...which is so good. Prices ranged between $25 to $35, but can creep up if you order more than one side dish. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff was friendly and accommodating as well.

Good steak and rib place in chino hills. Portion was big on the ribs. The rib eye steak portion was normal. Service was a bit on the slow side but it was Dec 23 dinner and the whole restaurant was almost at capacity. Servers and staff were nice.

The food arrived very quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. One highlight: you don't even have to ask—the server will bring you complimentary garlic bread, and trust me, do not refuse it! It's fresh, warm, and downright amazing. Overall, I highly recommend Wood Ranch—enjoy your visit!

Took my mom here for birthday lunch. Her spice and not a bad one. The service was courteous without being imposing. Forgot what we ordered, but we both had salads, which were excellent, satisfied the meat craving without feeling weighed down after the meal. I'll be back.

This is a great place to eat American-style barbecue. The meat was cooked perfectly. However, I wish there was more barbecue sauce on the meat. The garlic rolls were delicious; I could easily eat more than two!

What great meals! The ribs are delicious as are their steaks. The atmosphere is really pleasant and the fireplace outside while you wait is a nice touch as is the inside one. Sides were all good.

Super disappointed this go round. Went there tonight 1/1/26 thinking we’d get a good meal (usually it is) but sadly tonight not so much. My husband ordered the combo with brisket and the brisket was so dry he could not eat it. For the price paid very disappointing he couldn’t eat the bulk of his meal. Was the manager told, yes and he was offered more to go. We politely declined because one the rest of us were done eating and a that point who wants to try again. Waitress was okay, someone slow to come back with refills/general check ins.

I ate lunch, and the food could have been better. Had pulled pork sliders, and I didn't care for the cole slaw. It had a vinegar taste. I prefer a sweet coleslaw. My friend had the brisket, and he said it could have been better. I asked for coffee with my meal, it came cold, and I sent it back, it took another 7 min. to get it back. Service was mediocre.

As a person who used to work and live in Texas for 3 years, Wood Ranch is an ok-ish BBQ place. Beef ribs are not big enough, meanwhile it's too sweet, pulled pork are too dry (though there's sauce to go with it, but it just somehow not the way pulled pork should be served.

Bland and overcooked. Very disappointing to even see the meal at the start. This plate is $17 for a couple of bland shrimp and overcooked rice. It was my first and last time visiting this location after may recommendation from coworkers.

I went to this place on a Saturday night and I have to say the service was not the best at all. I sat down and behind me by about ten minutes a party of 10 sat down. That table was served drinks before I was, their food was served, and they paid and left before my main course was even served. The meat I was brought was over cooked, I guess they don’t know what medium rare is supposed to look like, and I was basically feed a piece of meat that looked well done. Super tough to eat, the beer was good, and that’s only because they don’t make it. Over priced and not really the type of place for a steak I would recommend. Service was slow, unless you’re a party of ten, and the manger after I complained brought me another piece of meat, and that one looked worse than the first one. The picture tells it all.

The food was not good at all! We ordered ribs, pulled pork sandwich, and a child's meal. Horrible! The lack of seasoning in the meat and the ribs were not cooked long enough. The macaroni and cheese was awful. The pulled pork sandwich was not tasty, and this is sad because it was someone who accompanied me their first time dining at Wood Ranch. The best part about the meal was tge bread. Customer service was outstanding!
