Really good food, great portions! Got the Birria Tacos with the side of consume (soup). Added a ground beef taco, was loaded with beef. With little pieces of potato in with the beef.
Food tastes pretty good, prices are slightly higher than other places but we like their flavor on all their food, so we keep coming back.
Delicious Burritos!! Very Recommended!! Huge Burrito!!! And dont forget to try the FREE various Salsa,Jalepeños & Spicy Carrots Bar!!! Soooooo yummy 😋
Wow let me say that this place has been one of my favorites to eat at. I really don't get to come here often but when I do I know that I'm going to get tooken care of. I remember me and my family use to come here and the kids loved it so thank you for the service and I see that the place was really clean and that says alot about a restaurant. See you next time
Leto the cocinero exceeds my expectations on flavor and the way he cooks the sopes are the best. I don't have to travel to TJ for a good sopes. Doris as well rocks. Best regards, Jesus Caldera Robles.
Wow omfg wow that's it all there is to it. Best "steak fries" Ive had in 30 years in San Diego. Drove up I had a reservation down the street to pick up a client. Came in for a bite I've been craving from this other fries for some time and I saw this place named asada. I figured I would find some good carne asada based off the name and location. In all fairness I did order carne asada fries and got steak fries. Common problem you run into here in California or in the states. However whatever dude these things were crispy soft tasty plentiful. These are the best fries I've ever had for that cut of fry at a taco shop for once it did not taste like a weekend Taco shop fryer. The fries around point the sauce guacamole cream all the goods even the salsa were fire. I got the mini carne asada fries once again I was deceived as they were not asada and far from mini. I was a able to put half away rolled over and pasted out. Mind you a full size man 400> lbs. I most definitely recommend you try these delicious steak fries. You'll have order them as carne asada fries but again whatever don't care if they're not they were delicious
Been here multiple times. Purchased asada tacos, asada burritos,California fries and burritos. Beef tacos combo(rice and beans). All have been great. But I went in this Sunday morning for some menudo. And Wowwwwww. Hands down best I’ve ever tasted. Straight out the bowl it’s seasoned so good you could eat it with nothing on it. Highly recommend. I think it was about 15$ for a 16oz container. About a serving for one maybe two people if you eat light. But I highly recommend it. A must try. As a Mexican that eats home food on the daily and struggle to find a good authentic Mexican shop, yeah this place has it down. Bowl looks a bit small but it’s pretty decent size. Could be a bit bigger. But it’s so I’ll let it pass ☺️
We really like the cabeza burrito, rolled tacos, they have chicken, beef and potato, and I ask for Pico, and the Chile Rellenos. My kids like the cali burrito and quesadilla. The drive thru can be fast, but it's also taken a while esp around dinner time. When we order 3-4 items it's usually $20-35. And they only take cash, but have an ATM machine in the drive thru. Their salsas are good too, all of them.
Always amazing no matter what time of day or night. And the 24hr availability works best or overnighters. I personally Drive the 30 minutes out of my way after my shift, no matter where I am to grab the extra large carne asada fries with pico. Also can't go wrong with surf and turf fries
Checked reviews for their most popular order; it seemed to be the carne asada™️ burrito — very happy with the proportions, tortilla, and asada. Price was $14, a la carte, for pickup — which I think is fair market price [considering the economy]
My wife and I stop here periodically for Tacos, beef for me and chicken for her. I always like the food here I'd say my favorite Mexican food. My wife bit into her chicken Taco and found a surprise, a whole thigh bone. Not a very good deboning job. I'm glad she didn't break a tooth.
It was close to midnight and it’s been couple years since I’ve ordered at Asada. Aside from the 15 minute wait at drive-thru, my rolled tacos were cooked just right, crunchy and tasty when I arrived home. I didn’t mind the 4 mile drive to Asada as it was conveniently located right off the freeway. I plan to return another time.
I would have given them five stars. Unfortunately basedon the waitresses service and attitude I can only give this restaurant four stars. We came as a group of four sat down in their dining area and they brought out our meals individually so what happened is half of us eight while the other two were waiting for their food.. we suggested that they bring the food out together and the waitress told us to give food back that was already served and they will bring it out when the other is ready. hahaha! Food was good. I will return but next time I will use the drive-thru to avoid the service.
I've been going here for some time now, and it's been fairly consistent. The food is good, not the greatest you'll ever try, but not lackluster either. The food is what you'd expect, in my experience at least. I do like that they offer a drive-thru option, and they do stay open later than most, very convenient if you want mexican late at night or have a graveyard shift nearby. The price can be a tad higher than some other places it's more regularly priced. I definitely recommend that if you live or work in the area to go try it, especially if it's later at night or just want the convenience of not having to step out of your car.
This place was supreme years ago, been going here since the early 90s. Now, it’s too overpriced for what you get. The portion sizes are generous (enough to split into two meals for some), but for $12.99 you should get more carne asada in your torta than lettuce! Also, since when has it been standard to put chipotle on tortas? I’m glad I was told what was on them before I ordered so I could omit it. Total for 3 carne asada tortas, an adobada torta, a plain quesadilla, two 4 oz sides of rice and beans and a horchata was $68.97! At least they gave us a bag full of salsas, the green of which is the better choice. It’s getting more expensive to feed a crowd nowadays so I can’t recommend coming here anymore over the other excellent and cheaper Mexican spots in town.
I have not tried all their food. I only come here for their surf n turf fries, I love them. I’d come more often if it wasn’t for their bad service the girls always give. It’s always the same girls here that have attitude and poor service. Their customer service is not welcoming at all !!!
Came here around 3 AM and ordered carne asada fries. Unfortunately, the food was not fresh—the meat tasted old and the fries were poorly made. On top of that, the service was bad. I understand it was late, but quality and basic service still matter.
The food is not the great sometimes is good the service girls at the counter aren't very nice in particular a red hair lady she doesn't have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE MANERS AT ALL, if you ask to used the bathroom she will not give the code untill you order I can understand that if you have a homeless problem in the are but this isn't the case over all NOT GOOD. VERY UNSATISFIED WITH THE ATTENTION TO CUSTOMERS. 😔
Hands down the absolute worst dining experience of my life! I’ve been coming here for YEARS and have never seen anything like this from any restaurant before. How do you write sour cream in the wrapper and not put any sour cream in it? Then I thought oh well, at least I have my adobada since my burrito is completely inedible. Then lo and behold, my quesadilla is completely burnt, also inedible. This is completely unacceptable and you have to make this right or my family and I will never be ordering from you again.
So we loved coming to this place for a few years now but unfortunately the tacos we always get have fallen off and tonight was the last straw. Idk what it is but they always give really crisp charred shredded beef tacos now. The meat is just hard and like jerky or crushes up like cheetos in your mouth...the shredded beef shouldn't be burnt. Please cook the meat for the shredded beef less. The tacos cost so much...its disappointing when the majority of it is inedible and this isn't the first time...we have had multiple tacos and haven't eaten here for months but I thought let me try it again but the tacos were the most charred I've ever had...really disappointing...just don't cook the meat so much???
