We went for dinner spontaneously – without a reservation, as we were on vacation nearby. The journey there (including the parking situation 😅) was a bit of an adventure, but absolutely worth it! We received a very warm welcome and had a wonderful evening. Great service, super friendly staff, and outstanding food 🍽️ – even though the menu selection is small, everything was perfectly cooked. The ambiance is beautiful ✨, and it's also dog-friendly 🐾👍 (our senior dogs couldn't come with us because of the alleys and steps, but that would be possible in principle). The restaurant is a bit hidden away, but it's well signposted and definitely worth a visit ✅. One caveat: it doesn't open until 8 p.m. ⏰.
The village in which it's located is charming, with a hint of times gone by. The restaurant is truly beautiful and meticulously maintained. Excellent food, cooked in a somewhat old-fashioned way. The staff are very kind and helpful, yet professional.
Really good local and Italian food. Fantastic dining room, like a grotte. We been here many times over the last 8 years or so, always value for money, never disappointed.
Excellent restaurant! Gorgeous location, very relaxing and romantic, unique! Impeccable service, very kind and friendly waitress (I don't remember her name, maybe Marisa?) Excellent food, expertly prepared and attentive to the needs of every palate, even the most delicate. Deserves a star!! Congratulations, and see you next time! (Claudia Le Miromar)
A perfect dinner in every way. Traditional dishes revisited without overdoing it, and excellent ingredients, first and foremost the local extra virgin olive oil. The service was impeccable. Monica accompanied and pampered us throughout the dinner, especially our son Gabriele, who reciprocated with masterful "scarpette" (scarpet) for each dish. The setting is exceptional, located in a small village (Torre Paponi), created from an olive oil mill and a 16th-century Saracen tower.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere at really good value 👌
Lots of small nice things to experience. Old building in ancient village which was given modern touch with glass windows while preserving the patine, many nice decorations and small wine cellar in the basement. Service is relaxed and very helpful. Food is worth the money with dishes we tried well elaborated.
Amazing place. Location, staff ( Monica was great) and the food, wow. Try it if you're in the area of Imperia/Sanremo.
Amazing culinary experience. The location is breathtaking, super friendly staff. Definitely recommended 👍🏻
A beautiful restaurant in the Imperia hinterland. Very good cuisine, exclusively Ligurian. There isn't a huge selection of first and second courses; when I went, there were two choices, maybe three at most. The service is very attentive. The restaurant is very dark, although I think this is intentional; sometimes it's hard to see the food on your plate. The prices are quite high, but still justified. Overall, very positive.
This place is absolutely magical. It feels like you’re brought back to the 1600’s. The food is amazing and so are the people working there. I would recommend you to book a table in advance because there is a slight chance it’s going to be fully loaded. There is something to eat for everyone. If you’re vegetarian there is many options like the tagliatelle or the gnocchi. If you’re a meat lover like me you can go for the beef.

Magnificent place with excellent service and dog-friendly attitude! The vitello was delicious and abundant, and they easily adapted to my partner's vegetarian needs. We'll be back!
The mixed antipasto was very good, but I found the braised meat a bit bland for my taste. The quality of the ingredients was excellent! Excellent service, a very beautiful and characteristic venue, recommended for romantic dinners; the candlelit atmosphere was much appreciated!
A stunning setting with loads of food experimenting going on, all don’t work but you can’t question the quality of the product and the passion of the team. Worth a visit - for sure
Fine dining with exceptional quality of the presented courses. I have never left even the slightest disappointed. To say something on the downside is that the menu is a bit too consistent over the years - not many changes done.
Maybe the most romantic location in the region, embedded in the ruins of an old mil. It’s a must for atmosphere freaks. Food very good but not excellent, service amazing. Unexpected for the region

Tucked away in small, somewhat frozen in time, hilly Torre Paponi was this restaurant; La Pignatta D'Oro. The town, interior, and ambience transport guests to the 1600s. We opted for the Menu Deg…
Wonderful Hidden Place. But After 2 Months the Menu is 43€ ( instead 40€ ) + 2€ pro Person for “Coperto”. Quality is the same but portions are now smaller! 15€ for a Pasta al Pesto is out of the world! No longer worth it!
If you are not Italian they will not serve you. Felt really unwelcome!
