Avis sur Boca Burger Claremont
After trying more of the menu, I’ve really come to love this place. I’ve had the chicken shawarma, the burger, the fries, and the empanadas- and they’re all very solid. The owner is a really nice and hardworking guy, always positive and willing to talk with you while he makes your food. He prepares in a timely manner as well and never leaves you waiting for that long. Now that I’m in OC, I’ll be missing this place. Can’t believe I lived near here for so long and had no idea it existed. Highly recommended, especially for any Muslims, as all the meat is halal.
The man behind the counter and cooking was very knowledgeable about the food and helped us pick our food. We got a gyro, a shawarma plate, and a couple of empanadas. Everything we ate was delicious. The sauces really helped elevate the food and make the flavors really come together in a great way. We were checked on regularly and asked if we needed anything. The service was great. I would definitely recommend this place.
It's all about the food, here. We bought empanadas, falafels, falafel sandwiches, the Boca burger, and various sides. My family and I devoured everything. My picky children ate all their food, and particularly raved about the tahini and garlic sauce. The proprietor kept checking on us and gave us extra bread for the yummy hummus we ordered. All in all, a very satisfying meal.
I have been here several times. I would usually come here, after work, since it is located in same building as Aladdin Jr. The meals, that I would order, are usually delicious. There is ample of space to sit down, and enjoy the meal. The staff, working here, is quite friendly, and helpful. At the same time, the place is quite neat. The prices, at the same time, are not on the expensive side. So definitely, if anyone enjoys burger meals, I would recommend a visit to this establishment!
We LOVED it!!! Definitely a lucky find for a lover of Middle East food! We had the kofta and chicken kabob with hummus and the amazing garlic sauce! He gave us an empanada to try and OMG….SO good! I’ve never liked empanadas until these (super light and flavorful) The homemade sauce was delicious too! We’ve found a new go-to spot! Can’t wait to try the gyros!
Not a lot of restaurants treat delivery service people as customers. THIS was the place that all other places should resemble. They OFFERED me the restroom, which I feel others lower my delivery score just cuz I ask to pee. Sorry that most other places do not offer places to pee such as Pizza Hut, Little Ceasars, etc....Excuse me that I have to pee as a woman that cannot pee in a bottle like men. I leave the restroom clean so not sure what the issue is. They even offered me food which NO ONE ELSE HAS EVER OFFERED. Please go here and support small businesses. They really do deserve more than these chain restaurants.
Ordered the duo kebabs and the empanadas. All of which was really good. The chicken was cooked to perfection, the beef was juicy, and the rice was really good! Beef, lamb, and chicken empanadas were amazing! Lamb was my favorite. Definitely coming back for more empanadas and chicken.
The cook / waiter is so nice. The french fries, kebab and the boca burger were delicious - top-tier. There is also an Argentinian flag painted on the walls. And a bonus: literally right next door to Trader Joe’s. Five stars all around!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Of course the food is great but what keeps me coming back is the friendly service. Wally creates this atmosphere there where you feel like you are going over to a friends house to grab a bite. Above and beyond customer service with Wally around. I came by to pick up my order and he served me a chicken empanada to try it out (on the house) because they were out of the ones they normally serve. Tried them, and ended up adding more to my order. Thank you Wally! I'll see you soon.
This place is an amazing gem. Really great Mediterranean food. Everything fresh and made from scratch. The owner is so kind and generous. Always throwing in free food so you can try new things. Highly recommend this spot!
I had the best service I’ve ever had. The worker named Wally greeted me with a great smile and provided the best empanadas I’ve ever had in my life by far. The food is a great price and fills you up way more than you would expect. This is seriously the best place I’ve ever been to with such quick service. I’ll definitely be coming back every week!
I ordered three once to try the burger and the owner was very warm on the phone Also the food was ready pretty fast and good such that we went there for a second time. The good thing was it was one of the only halal restaurants which close to CGU.
Food is amazing! And the service was even better! I highly recommend the spinach empanadas!
I really enjoy the burgers and the empanadas are my favorite here. The atmosphere is enjoyable and clean and the customer service is great. I definitely recommend this place!
An excellent experience and a delightful local spot. The empanadas were amazing!! Even the fries were wonderful. The owner is delightful and generous (graciously hooked me up with a few freebies for my family and I to try). If you’re in the area and hungry, check out Boca Burger. Highly recommended!
Amazing service from wallie Burger and the empanadas were great!
Willy is so amazing and will take excellent care of you!! The workers just want to share their food with you and just want you to enjoy. 10/10 experience every time i come here <3 Take a chance and come try some new food here you wont regret it!!!
I’ve tried chicken and beef kebab (half and half), it tasted good and was a big portion. Owner is very friendly.
Was craving some empanadas after a long day at school. Stopped by close to closing time and not only did I walk away with 4 empanadas delicious and not dry (chicken, beef, cheese, spinach). The late night worker/ owner went beyond to provide an amazing service. Even though they were close to closing time he took the time to make everything with care and have a conversation as he cooked. Leaving with food and words as wisdom’s as he noticed I had a long day was the pick me up I needed to end the night will a smile. I truly enjoy small business that not only provide a delicious meal but an experience. Support those business!
Such a good hidden place. Went last night with my husband. The beef empanada was amazing. The chicken shawarma plate was so good too. Excellent flavors. The owner was so welcoming and he definitely has the amazing hospitality so well known in the middle eastern community. We will definitely be coming back and trying other items on the menu!
Outstanding service and food! The owner truly goes above and beyond. He was incredibly accommodating and friendly, offering fantastic recommendations that turned out to be absolutely delicious. Our visit was a spontaneous decision during a work trip, and we were pleasantly surprised. We can't recommend this place enough and would eagerly return anytime.
Empanadas great. Beef and cheese.. eat them when hot. Had the chicken shwarma and kabobs. Hot and tasty. Garlic butter is a must. Get extra it's worth it. Flavors complementary. Fresh taboulie. Will come again
Delicious and great quality food. We loved everything :) The owner is very nice and hospitable. He said bye to all customers before he left for the day! Prices are reasonable considering portion size and quality.
Chicken was Super juicy and packed with Flavor. The Owner was Super Cool. Highly recommend stopping By
What a pleasant surprise. We were just charging our car at the chargers and stumbled in.. the hummus, Zahra makleyye, and spinach empanada, falafel were top notch. Wally is also super friendly. We are fans and will return.
It is a nice restaurant, located in the building with Aladdin Jr. I have been here several times. Each time, I have enjoyed my visits. There was ample of space to sit down, and enjoy the meal. The food was well prepared. Furthermore, it was prepared quickly. Thus, as a result, the meal was delicious. Therefore, if anyone enjoys burgers. I would recommend to stop by this establishment. It is located in same building, by same owners, of Aladdin Jr.
Very good fries and burgers, although the main thing that makes this place so much special is the empanada's, amazing food. On top all of that the chef who works in the kitchen is super nice and awesome to be around especially after a long week after school it’s such an amazing pleasure to be around someone who can make me smile everytime.
This place truly is a hidden gem! It's a finding I did when I was looking for something to do while charging my car on a road trip to Big Bear with a friend that is in town visiting and that was an amazing surprise, Mohammed the owner is an amazing person! Super friendly, generous and takes hospitality to another level! The food is the classics done really well and well priced, portion is super generous and the flavors are great Empanadas and the Chicken Gyro were amazing. He also has some true classics from Middle eastern foods really hard to find on the average restaurants since they are more street food or home food, when he was told my friend came from Brazil and all he was super knowledgeable on brazil facts, culture and geography. The food is more than a reason to go here, but the owner himself is a reason to come back whenever we can! He was so amazing in the morning that on the way back we stopped by again just for dinner and have some more nice chat to him! Thank you Mohammed and I'll stop buy soon no doubt!
To walk into a place and to be greeted by someone who can tell you what the authentic version of the food tastes like. How it stacks up to the food they're cooking in a realistic way. Is not something I expected to find here. In fact, I assumed it would just be: "hey! What's good on the menu"? "Everything is good" I found that the man that worked here knew his country's food better than anyone and he could honestly tell you what was great about it. He told me his mother's versions of the food far exceed what they had but, that didn't stop me from ordering. In fact it made me more curious. He told us in Ernest what was best to order. The food was as he described. Really good. Could his honesty make the food taste better. I don't know. I can tell you I will go back and you should too.
Spectacular! I didn't know what to expect from this small burger/medatrainian joint, but wow, was I amazed! The service was just top notch. I've never experienced anything nearly as warm and friendly. Wally is honestly a gem, and we need more people in the hospitality industry like him. As for the food itself, just great. The beef empanadas came quickly and just tasted like little bites of heaven. Sweet, juicy and packed with flavors! The hummus, pita bread and French fries also did not disappoint. This place is an absolute must for everyone to try! Highly recommend!!
The food was delicious and the service was even better. He really went above and beyond. And when he tells you that it's all about the chimichurri sauce, believe him. 😋
This is the first time we tried this Mediterranean Cuisine. It's a small place, but wow, their food was good! We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered;my favorite was their chimichurri sauce that came with the empanadas! Their service was very cordial and attentive. Our little boy made us promise to come back for more. Boca Burger exceeded our expectations and was well worth the money!

Wally really w went out of his way to produce a great meal with a smile, Chicken Kabob, kafta, grape leaves and hummus were off the chain..Thanks Wally you earned a new customer..Loved it..
I had the falafel sandwich and it was everything and more than I expected. It was very moist and flavorful and filling. You have to come try this place, you will want to come back. Not to mention the owner and service is very friendly.
Wally is such a kind and pleasant guy so welcoming. I had the Burger and he even gave me an Empanada so i can know the taste. Both were excellent and good quality i will definitly be back when Im in tge neighborhood.

Staff is friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere and seating. Very inviting to sit down and eat, but still retains the price and taste of high volume fast food joint. My only criticism would be on the burger buns. They fell apart and made it difficult to eat. Absolutely delicious though.
I came here for a dinner burger meal, and it was fantastic! It seemed like at the time I was there, it was a one-man show, because there was only one guy doing all of the cooking and billing and such. Because of this, the burgers took a pretty long time to make, around 15-20 minutes, but they were worth the wait! The burgers were AMAZING, and all of the flavors and textures complimented each other in a perfect way. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 stars is because of the extra wait, but I wouldn’t make that a big enough reason to not come here. I definitely recommend this place!!!
I have mixed emotions about this place. First, the food is excellent! Buuuuuut, if the older woman who works there can't handle the pressures of the lunch time rush hour, she really should not be working at that time of day. OR, someone needs to step in and help her. It's very obvious that she does not handle stress well. She gets very snappy with the customers, even the nice ones!
Great chicken salad. One of the best I have ever eaten in a Mediterranean restaurant. $17 but it was worth it. Great flavor, everything fresh and just grilled there. Owner seems to be a friendly and polite man but two things happened that I didn’t like. First, when serving the salad he accidentally dropped a chunk of chicken on the table, then he asked me if I still wanted to eat that piece which I obviously replied no because I don’t know if the table is clean or not. He replies: “ Ok no problem , I had served you an extra chunk of chicken anyway “ so he throws away the dropped piece and walks away back to the kitchen. As I was enjoying my salad and being the only one in the restaurant one of the servers seats on one table behind me and start reading out loud a list of items to the owner and he replying back out loud. They were making inventory!!! It was surreal but good. Takeout next time.
Went with my partner, we got two ground beef empanadas and a chicken empanada these were delicious and for anyone looking for a quick meaty treat I would highly recommend. The owner is incredible, very funny and great to talk to but one major issue is he doesn't write down orders which results in him forgetting things if you have a few items. We also got two chicken schwarma plates and the pickled veggies. They were pretty ok, I was hoping to get the lamb but the owner was adamant that I get the chicken. The pickles were a nice addition but I wouldn't get again as I'm not a fan of olives but if you are definitely get. He was also super nice and gave us free drinks and a free pair of stuffed grape leaves. Overall I would say it's definitely worth visiting and giving it a try for yourself and meeting the genuinely kind and funny man running this restaurant!

Chicken empanadas are good; shawarma is solid as well. Owner is nice and friendly and has great stories to share. It’s a bit pricey, but overall a nice place to eat and relax.

Dine in. Bad service and overpriced. The man who took our order didn't seem to understand what we ordered. All the order was messed up. Then somehow they canceled our empanadas without telling us. When we asked for them again and to go, they switched them to cheese empanadas. The most expensive cheese I've ever paid for in my life! Food was Ok. But our stomach hurt when we got home. We spent $68 in lunch for two, and it wasn't worth it and it made us sick. Also, the man, I assume the owner or cahsier... was overfriendly but like I mentioned didn't seem to understand what we ordered, and scared my 6 month old baby by touching his face suddenly and unapologetically. I don't understand how this place has so many good reviews, it didn't look clean.
Place was super dirty , the plates were greasy, tables chairs kitchen was filthy . I asked for a burger with no chimichuri. He gave it to me with chimichuri sauce ! I had to give this place one star to be able to comment but I would give it a 0 . Horrible and $27 for a burger !! It is beyond me how this place has an A rating? Claremont get it together!!
Can't recommend this place less. While the attitude of the server was good and he seemed apologetic about his mistakes, there was a ridiculous number of them for his attitude to make up for. My friend got the chicken kabobs and they were overpriced (10$ each) and they were mediocre (over salted and over seared/grilled). Here is where my frustrations begin. He up-sold us on empanadas (fine, make your money king) but he proceeded to forget to even give them to me in my to-go bad (I only realized they were missing once I took everything out of To-go containers, imagine if I went home). I went in to get the empanada I didn't originally plan to get and he gave it to me. It was meat. I had explicitly confirmed with him multiple times that I do not eat meat and need the vegetarian option (the stranger behind me in line had to defend me). Once I finally got the spinach empanada, I discovered that it was NOT good (everything is subjective ofc but this was rancid imo). I also purchased pita and hummus. Hummus was ok but the pita was stale and cold (I watched him rip them up with bare hands from a store bought bag). He also made us both buy (making it seem free) the garlic sauce. This is fine bc ~business~ but it pissed me off. Overall, the place was dirty, dark, and despite their 'A' rating from public health, I do not feel safe. Dalmas were bad, even canned ones are better. Hella overpriced. Super grumpy, still hungry, at least trader Joe's is next door. Can't recommend anything
When I ordered a lamb Gyro and they tried to talk me out of it I should have know. The chicken is better, we're known for our empanadas, etc... If you think you're going to see meat roasting and carved from a spit think again. He grabbed a balled up piece of tin foil from the fridge and threw it on a grill. Total trash. Add charge for garlic sauce. My pita was cold and chewy, there were random French fry fillers in my Gyro, the meat was chewy beyond swallowing. Disgusting food.

The guy who runs the place is super nice but I cant overlook the flaws in this place. He got my order wrong, shorting me on the empanadas. No cutlery for the salad so guess I need to eat it with my hands? And yes, I agree with other reviewers that the place seems a little grimy. The menu is kinda all over the place. Burgers Mediterranean, argentinian. Huh?
