Great service, excellent food. You can tell they really care about their customers! Went on New Years eve and they offered a 5 course meal for a pretty reasonable price. Highly recommend.

While the restaurant was fairly quiet when I arrived, it has a surprisingly welcoming feel to it. The other guests seemed happy, which could only have been amplified by sitting on the patio on a marvelous day. The meal included a Caesar salad with fried oysters (or maybe they were clams), mussels swimming a butter sauce, which was only too happy to be captured and enjoyed in the soft and crunchy baguette, and wonderfully crispy fries (with exactly the right amount of saltiness). The service was attentive without being intrusive, and I can still hear the music, even if I am not certain there was music. It's the kind of place made for delightful memories, even if they are more feeling than thought. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Great place for raw oysters in the middle of the US. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the varieties offered at the restaurant and was very attentive. The atmosphere was very romantic for my wife and myself. We will return one day.

The food is great here. The oysters are fresh. The service is fast as they have a lot of staff even when it is slow. Interesting cocktails and a good wine list. Good place for a date or couples dinner.

Fantastic little gem. Inviting and elegant oyster bar nestled on a quiet street a block from Forest Park. Wonderful in the spring and fall, doors open to the fresh air and warm evenings. Perfect for a date, or a relaxing evening alone. Oh and the food's good too I guess... psyche it's amazing too, just go already.

The food was amazing. I would highly recommend the Lobster Ravioli and the East Coast Oysters. The oysters are smaller than the west coast but to me they are sweeter and more delicate in comparison to their west coast counterpart. Can't wait to go back!!

Went for a Sunday brunch. The food was fine, but nothing special, the service was strange and slow, and some of their listed menu items weren't available. The setting and ambiance are great, but I don't feel that it's worth going back.

The service was ok and the place is cute but the quality of the oysters was disappointing, they looked like they had been opened for hours and they didn't taste fresh.

It's no longer Demun Oyster Bar. They changed the menu and restaurant name to Barrio. I was very unimpressed with the food which is now Mexican cuisine. The guy who was waiting on us made it feel as if we were inconveniencing him. Many other and better choices in the city for this style of food.

Food was great but waiter falsified my receipt and added a tip to it even though we had split the check and put a tip on another card. When I returned to have it corrected, he told me it was refunded but my statement shows it was only half refunded. Watch your credit card statements after eating here!!!

On our graduation day, my wife, my 18-month son and I went to the Oyster Bar for lunch. The waiter was quite rude (and later left in the middle of the shift), but we were tired and decided to stay. She ordered a ceviche and I had the house salad. The ceviche was a joke: no seafood at all, just tasteless vegetables floating in a boring cold soup. Do you guys know how to cook ceviche at all? You are clearly clueless, so please don't offer ceviche in your menu! My salad was just and average green mix with a few topings. VERY disappointing experience. Never again.

WAAAAAY over priced !!! Tiny martinis at $14 / each ! There's a 100 spots to go next time. I'll NEVER go back !!

I went to this restaurant with my wife since we love seafood. I saw the top 10 seafood restaurant recommendation from st louis magazine. I decided to give it a try. Not too many people in the restaurant but the parking was still difficult to find. I ordered a pasta with scallop for $28. The pasta was tasteless and bland. There were 3 scallops in my dish. All three of them were very salty. My wife ordered a grilled fish for $28 and it didn't taste good either. I just don't think the food is justified for the price. I probably get better food and better price at Red lobster or olive garden than this place. I did try the fried oyster and it was not too bad for $3.50. I probably won't go back.
