I visited this bakery in April 2021. I purchased cannoli cake and cannoli cream filled Belgian waffles. They were fresh and absolutely delicious! Very nice selection and beautiful cakes. Server was happy to answer questions and helpful. Highly recommend!

They're the best! "A chip right off the Homestyle Peekskill's old block!" Young lady took my cake order and vegan cupcake order in minutes, paid and was out the door. Looking forward to Saturday!

A wide variety of yumminess was on display. The selection was heavy on chocolate covered pretzels, Graham crackers, etc and missing brownies. The cakes looked beautiful and delicious.

Nice selections of candies, pastries and Italian cookies. Limited selection of gluten free and vegan items in the cooler. My daughter loved the Pac-Man machine!

Would recommend going in the week and not on the weekend. Things tend to be fresher, I believe they are selling older or shipped stock on the weekend. My pastry today is definitely stale and the case was FILLED with fruit flies, a swarm of them flew up and onto the glass when they were getting my pastry.

I was told about the Peekskill location & ended up being by the Cold Spring location so I stopped by. It was clean & the lady was nice at the counter but the pastries were old and hard as as a rock. I spent $14 and some change. My kids liked their pretzels but just so disappointed by the pastries. The croissant crumbled completely and also tasted freezer burnt.

I came here just to get a quick dessert. I got a black and white cookie and I was not impressed. It tasted dry and flavorless. I hate that this bakery only has a limited selection of stuff and the person who helped us wasn’t too friendly. I will not come back here!

I have never been so disappointed and disgusted with the service received. The workers at this location are known junkies and have disgusting attitudes. They’d prefer to sit behind the counter talking then helping customers inside. There was one young guy who was very sweet and tried his best to add some type of decor toppers. The cake writing looks horrible, no flowers or boarder design, and there’s a random line at the side of the cake. I have NEVER received a cake from them of this quality. Actually, back in February 2020, I ordered a cake and it completely slid 5 min after leaving because it wasn’t cold and it was too tall. Ever since the pandemic hit, they lost some of their best workers and hired ones that have no idea what they’re doing. I will not be ordering from homestyle again. It WAS the best bakery upstate once upon a time.

I ordered a pastry, a very small cookie and a large latte. Two young girls were behind the counter. When the drink came, I told them the cup was half full. The girl said, "Oh yes, we are out of milk." Then "Why did you sell me a large?, " I asked. The two girls looked at me with blank expressions. Finally, she offered me a dollar back as if to charge for a small. When I looked at the recept, they charged, $6 for a single very small cookie. We won't be going back.

Ended up getting 2 cannolis. One shell was so hard you couldn't bite it and the other was better. The filing left an after taste. It didn't even smell like a bakery. The girl working acted as if I was disturbing her, not friendly at all. Very disappointing. I thought this location would be great and save me a trip to Peekskill.

A very basic quality bakery, with below average cookies, cakes, etc,. You’re not going to find fine baked goods here, with high quality ingredients and made with a thoughtful and patient hand.

OLD CROISSANTS. CONSISTENTLY. Have never ever bought a croissant here at this bakery that was fresh. I don't understand. ITS A BAKERY! I don't think they bake them themselves... because when I complained, the woman LOOKED AT THE BOX THEY CAME IN and didn't say anything. Well now I know and I will not shop here again. I'm done! DONE! I don't understand how they can consistently pass off OLD goods as fresh and live with themselves. Are you even allowed to legally do that? (Will be checking into that.) 7.7.2020

I stopped in today to get a little box of cookies. The young server was agitated and rude. she provided the wrong order on purpose and lied about it, I discovered the lie after I left the shop. $15 . for a few small cookies. I was about to question her and now I realize I should have followed my gut. do avoid this shop.
