Cozy spot, delicious food Growing up in Santa Ana, I've never found Mexican food up north here to be as good, that is until I visited Real Colima! The prices are great, the restaurant has a cozy feel, and the food is top notch
Bomb authentic Mexican food! Their green salsa is the absolute best! They make all of their tortillas from scratch and offer great service! Try the super burrito with carne asada, you won’t regret it!
Their food is very flavorful and tasty. My favorite dish here is the bacon wrapped shrimp covered in a red sauce and melted cheese. I highly recommend!
Colima is my family's favorite. My grandpa , mi tias , cousins, we all go there. I've even made some good friends that are regulars there. I love this place so much , I wish it would get an upgrade. It needs some tlc
Love the chicken burrito as I usually get that. Huevos rancheros are awesome as well. The only thing I wish they did is add eggs to the chilaquiles other than that great food and always very welcoming. The horchata is the best!!!!
Really good, authentic food. Great service!
They welcome everyone to eat their authentic delicious Mexican food
This place is very very good. There food is very tasty and they give you big portions. This place feels like if I was at home and my mom was in the kitchen cooking.
The customer service provided here is excellent. The food is delectable, and their tortillas are exceptional.
One of the BEST Mexican food restaurants in Watsonville, in my opinion. It's always a for sure satisfaction with the food they make at the East Lake location. Thank you for the GREAT service.
One of my favorite Mexican authentic places to eat, been coming here for years now. Chile Colorado is soo amazing and filling. The birrira, like none other. Recommended 👌
We can always count on Colima delicious plates and great service! Their homemade tortillas 😋 Family atmosphere
Gonna have to say one of the best plates of birria ive had serve with a Spanish rice that had been been rice n onions along with some smashed beans and a flower tortilla on the side definitely a golden goose egg in this small lil town.
The food is good (in my opinion) and is my ultimate comfort food restaurant
The food is nice and fresh. They serve good size portions and their tortillas are home made. Very good food. It was brought to me and my group quickly and it was fairly priced. It's a good restaurant and the setting is nice too.
Best Menudo I’ve had in my life. I know that may seem like a very bold statement, but it’s really unmatched. They serve it only on the weekends and at a limited quantity, best way to down a bowl of menudo is with a nice cold Modelo. It’s a beautiful Red menudo paired with all its condiments and your choice of flour or corn tortillas, I don’t eat menudo often but when I do I come here!
It's one my favorite places, however my husband had to send his plate back to warm up because it was cold. Also the pieces in the menudo are large wish they would cut them smaller.
We are passing through and definitely would return. The food was very authentic. The home made tortillas had me remencing to when my mom would make them for us while I was kid living at home. The service was prompt and the restaurant was clean.
Best Mexican food in Watsonville. Everything is homemade including their tortillas. Great price too. The people who work there are very sweet.
It's been a while, work doesn't give me much freedom. The coffee pretty good, chips and salsa . I ordered a plate with, Chile reyeno and 2 enchiladas, rice n beans. Pretty tasty meal, I recommend this plate
The food here is very good. The service was very good also, and they introduced us to a cinnamon coffee, which was so delicious. It's a little hole in the wall, but it's such an adorable restaurant inside.
Lunch date today. First time here. I ordered a chile colorado sopè. Good flavor, and I appreciate that they use real crema not sour cream, And mexican cheese. Makes it taste a whole lot better. My partner ordered the chiliquiles. He said it tasted good, the beans were tasty.
Great food, fun people. I've been going to this establishment since I was a kid. Their portion sizes are great, I've never been able to finish one meal.
Some of the yummiest fresh hand made tortillas! Had pastor tacos and a Chile verde sope. Highly recommended and the coffee was tasty too! Great service. Don’t skip this gem.
First time here Excellent food, very tasty staff super friendly and helpful.
I love this place ❤️ food is fantastic 😋 when I come into town I always stop here.
Good, unpretentious, Mexican food at a great price.

Been hitting this spot for decades! Awesome food, my go to on most visits is Camarones a la Vallarta. Tortilla de maiz.hechos a Mano.. Man you put some of those beans on the tortilla, drop like 3 of those bacon wrapped shrimp on top, put lemon all over, smother with the red salsa, put some of that red salsa and lemon on the lil salad they give you and go to town! Rinse, repeat. If I have had a few too many cerveza might before, I go get the 7 mares y una Corona Bien helada. That will cure what ale's ya!
Aunthentic. Delicious and service was great. Amazing drinks. Had Jamaica and it was incredibly refreshing. Can’t wait to go back on my next trip!
best Mexican place to get food in Watsonville
I love this place. Service is always friendly. I've had a few items on the menu from various visits, but my go-to are the Nachos Asada. These are hands down the best nachos in Watsonville easy. They're Loaded, you get plenty, and they're so eloquently assembled. Melted shredded cheese, not cheese sauce. Definitely a must try. Order them as an appetizer to share but you will probably just want to eat them all as your meal.
Stopped in for lunch passing through with my family. Nice people and good food. Came with chips and 2 kinds of salsa while we checked out the menu.

There's only one time here that the menudo was a little off. Every other time I've gone menudo is on point. I like to get it here because back at home there's no menudo places. My cousin tried the mojarra (fried tilapia) it had enough salt but was not seasoned with garlic or anything like that.
Quaint restaurant with home cooked Mexican food . Good prices. Good service. It’s one of our go to’s.
Food was delicious, and chilada sauce was exquisite prices are a little expensive but the tortillas were the best I've had at a restaurant ever! You can tell that they are homemade and they take great care and their food! I would spend the money freely at this restaurant!
Got in right away to get our table , had to wait aehile to get our dinner,it was a busy night ,Staff was helpful it was good the menu option didn't offer to select so we all had different dishes
Had been wanting to try Real Colima 2 for a while! I got a pastor super burrito, along with a couple tacos. Overall everything was quite solid, particularly the tortilla on the asada taco. Did anything blow my mind? No, but overall happy with the experience!
Great place for authentic Mexican food. Both the flour and corn tortillas are fresh and home-made. They have good coffee (cafe de olla). The restaurant is an older converted house. The servers are friendly and the wait time is minimal upon ordering.

Been here twice over the past few months after being told about it for many years. First time, I had the fried fish plate. It was alright. Fish was IMO overly dry and over cooked. Also, really bland. The second time, I went to order a takeout regular chicken burrito, and they said it's only the chicken and flour tortilla. What?? I had to order the super burrito for the rice and beans and salsa, and in my 25 years in California, never heard of that before. It costed $10 for this -- yep, shoulda just went to a Chipotle for that price, and it was the weird chicken burrito ever. It had corn, peas, and carrots in it instead of pico de gallo. And, the chicken was this weird, shredded, poached chicken. It almost tasted like I was eating a chicken pot pie in a burrito. Like, they got a bag of chicken pot pie fillings from the local Smart and Final and use that for the chicken fillings. Now, from what I was told, this is normal for an authentic burrito: tortilla with just meat. So, just giving you fair warning if you're not use to that.
Hand made flour tortillas great but the beans over cook and the rice same the salsa it was ok super burrito looks like a regular burrito and prices are way off different regular $5+ super $10+ you be the judge. Drop by.
Had not been here in a while. Service not as good as i remember. Waitress failed to return to refill our Cafe de olla. She was not busy. Just laughing and gossiping with other employees at counter. Oh well, there went her tip. Chile relleno was delicious as was the bean sope and handmade corn tortillas. The birria not so yummy. Tasted more like carne en su jugo. Food was a bit cold. The worst part was the rancid red salsa. Tomatoe was old. I left it in the bowl, I dont need an upset stomach. Lol

Food wasn't very good. Ordered a combination meal.....taco, enchilada, and tamale. The tamale was dried out and hard, couldn't even cut it with a knife. Taco was good......rice and beans had no taste. They didn't even get my husbands order right.Service was satisfactory!
Back in the day this place was IT, the last time I visited town I stopped by and the service was not the greatest, our waitress looked tired like she didnt want to be there. Food was bland, I had the Chile relleno platter and they bearly had any cheese in them. My son ordered camarones a la Diabla and they were pretty nasty he didn't even eat them, I tried one and it had a soapy taste 🤢. Anyways this place has been around for a long time they just need an upgrade.
One server trying to serve tables and run cash register meal was luke warm after long wait ordered Carne asada empanada got shrimp instead very disappointed ordered fried Taco got soft Taco. Wow!
Ordered breaded pork and it had no taste. It wasnt even cooked properly ! Made me nauseous . I wont be going back.

Not really what I expected. I thought it would be authentic. The tortillas were amazing home made perfection. The food on the other hand not so good. I got huevos rancheros and the salsa was tomatoe sauce with some onion. No no effort on the salsa at all. service was fast and the woman was very attentive. Someone star because of service and tortillas.
I'm actually surprised this place had "great" reviews (usually Google reviews are spot on). Upon arrival the place was empty. No actual introductions; lady behind the bar said we can sit wherever. Although the place is remotely empty service was slow (took 5 minutes for an order to be placed and another 15 for food) again empty restaurant. Chips were stale and salsa was watered down. I ordered a chilaquiles. The sauce used almost tasted like pizza sauce some sort of tomato based sauce but very watery consistency. The sauce was also salty which indicates a possible preservation attempt. Rice was okay but no real taste same goes for the refried beans. While the plating (presentation) was great the overall taste, texture and ambiance was of this place was a sure fail. Save your money and go somewhere worthwhile!
Servers never checked on our table. We asked for a drink twice to different servers after waiting 5 minutes. Asked again to a different server and she replied saying another server would take care of it but she never came. We waited but we decided to leave. Overall, good food, bad service. Not worth the price. They have excuses instead of apologizing. It's not like it was busy.
The food has no flavor and it tastes old. The portions have shrunk and the prices went up too much. Plus the presentation of the plate is not very appealling. No smell that gives you a great appetite.. the waitress has a bad attitute and she should check herself. Never going back again.
This used to be one of our go-to Mexican restaurants. Did they change the management and all staff? New owners? We had the slowest and worst service ever. Kitchen messed up order, then took forever to correct it. They gave no apologies. New staff simply don't know how to run a business. Absolutely zero customer service skills. Don't usually post negatively, but they need to hear this if they want to survive.
