We had a fantastic family lunch here! The sushi combo was fresh and beautifully presented, and the mango salad was a perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Highly recommend both dishes for a delicious and satisfying meal.
Friendly service, very fast & above all else FRESH & High Quality rolls!!! Certainly a stand out Kibo, will be back to this location for sure.
Service good and food is really delicious, we come here so often
The service was amazing, as well as the food! The food came quickly and tasted to great! Highly recommend
From the moment we walked into Kibo Sushi Restaurant, we were impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between modern and cozy, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal or a special night out. The food was absolutely amazing-fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite was a delight, and it's clear that the chefs put real care and skill into each dish. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure that everything was perfect throughout our meal. They went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend Kibo Sushi to anyone looking for top-quality sushi and a truly enjoyable dining experience. We'll definitely be back!
I've eaten a lot of sushi in my life. Too much really; risk of mercury poisoning amounts, if you catch my meaning. Despite this rich mosaic of experience, I sit here, struggling to find the words that would truly capture the essence of my experience(s) at Kibo - College. Let me paint you a picture instead. You're walking along College Street. It's been a long day; you're chilly, tired, and ready to decompress after that way too long, end of fiscal meeting. Your hand goes to your stomach as it makes a sound reminiscent of a 16 year old making good use of that drum kit they got for Christmas. You look up for a brief second - Kibo Sushi House - the sign (literally, not divine, though you're questioning a bit at this point) beckons you in. You follow its cue. You're greeted by warm welcomes and genuine smiles. Seated, and given a menu. You flip through - wow, everything looks great (it is) - but you're feeling something simple. Sashimi. You call the server over, ask a few questions (wow, are they ever nice!) and place an order. Sashimi and an Asahi. The food arrives quickly, "Enjoy!" Little do you know that enjoyment will not even begin to describe the proceeding moments of your life. Fresh, delicious fish, prepared in such a way that you can TASTE the love and pride that the chef has for their craft. Each bite brings you somewhere new, emotionally, psychologically, philosophically (the -allys may change, we're all unique after all). You follow these bites with deep drinks of crisp, fresh beer. And before you know it, it's over. The server walks over and asks how everything was. Great you say; and it's the truest thing you've said all week. Suffice it to say, Kibo College is phenomenal. Great, kind and attentive staff. Delicious food. Fantastic atmosphere. Couldn't ask for much more. Thank you so much!
I really enjoyed the spicy sashimi don. I would definitely come here again! Recommend!
The food was really good. The service is great. I love the ambience. Mango and avocado sushi is a must try!
I always eat here and I have such a nice time. Kim is very sweet and the food is fresh and delicious.
My girls and I found this restaurant on a whim and saw that there were good reviews so we had to check it out. For a group of 3, we were seated instantly with no wait times or reservations. You could tell this place was going to be amazing by just sitting down. The food presentation was phenomenal and the service was A1 but wow the food really hit. We’ve experimented with so many sushi restaurants throughout our lives and I have to say, this is our new go-to place. The fish was so fresh and the prices are super affordable considering what you’re getting. I’m drooling just thinking about it again. I highly recommend the aburi set. Nothing beats torched sushi omg.
Love Kibo Sushi. Great variety, good portions, and fast service. One of my go-to spots for sushi. Highly recommend.
Your food is very delicious. We love the Kibo signature roll - it is a rainbow in every bite and fills my tummy with hugs. Last but not least…mmm good!
Very helpful and nice service. The place smells very cozy and authentic. The food is delicious 😋.
Kibo is one of best sushi restaurant in Toronto. Food is always fresh and constant. They are always willing to make substitutions for you and the choice of rolls are so extensive so you will definitely find something you like. Everyone that works there is super friendly and they have pre-made rolls for you to do a quick take out. Oh and I love their house made salad dressing! I think it was about time Ossington got a legit Japanese spot, I recommend you drop by and give them a try.
The sushi is delectable. Personaly the price is reasonable for the quality. The service is amazing and the staff are kind and accommodating individuals. The atmosphere is great and has japansise decorations.
A lovely little sushi place with a cute atmosphere, very tasty food, and excellent service. I would definitely come here again and recommend it highly!
I love Kibo, but particularly this location! Great food, very attentive staff. Everything comes quickly and they play fun music.
Food was fresh and delicious, service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. Clean restaurant, good music. Absolutely no complaints, 10/10 would visit again.
Food was fresh! The rolls came in a generous portion and hands down this one of the best sushi spots in town.
My friend and I were absolutely amazed on our first visit to this sushi restaurant! The freshness of their ingredients is truly impressive; every bite lets you taste the sweetness and richness of the fish. It felt like a definite "upgrade" compared to other sushi places we've been to. What made it even better was that their prices aren't expensive at all, yet the portions are incredibly generous, offering fantastic value for money! Everything we ordered was delicious, with no disappointments. It's definitely worth every penny. Beyond the amazing food, the staff here also left a great impression. They were all very friendly and enthusiastic, providing us with an excellent experience from ordering to finishing our meal.☺️☺️
The food here is really delicious and suits my taste. The staff are also very good and enthusiastic.
Really recommended place, good food and good quality. I will repeat for sure. I tried the chicken udon and the premium sushi pack and it was amazing!
The food is amazing here and the service is just as good. Amazing restaurant for a little sushi night!
Any meal that my son will eat without a fuss is a godsend, and this meal delivered. He loved the tofu, noodles, and the miso soup. We loved the sashimi, rolls, and spicy sashimi don served with a spicy Korean sauce. The service was quick and with extra attention for our toddlers. We plan on coming back here as a family for sure.
Incredible food and service! Super friendly and our order came so quickly and was beautifully prepared and delicious. Will be back for sure!
One of my favourite sushi places in Toronto! I've visited multiple times and every time I come in, I'm always impressed. They are consistent in taste, quantity and quality. Every new dish I try is better than the last! Highly recommend this location - it's fantastic and you will certainly not be disappointed.
Food is always phenomenal and their service is always very good. The waiting time is not too much and the food is always delicious. Great sitting arrangement
Just randomly walked into this place and was amazed by the overall quality of the food. Every single thing we ate was great. The miso soup was really nice and flavorful. But the best was the Whitefish in ponzu sauce. A huge meal for 2 for about$100 is a good deal on college. Staff were amazing and attentive and I will definitely be back soon.
It was my first time at Kibo sushi house and I totally love it. The service was great and the food was amazing. The plates are big that we couldn't finished it. They give us a take out container. I will sure come back soon. Great job
Kibo is one of the Best sushi place around this area. I personally really enjoyed every dish I ordered! The manager and staff were very friendly and their food definitely hit the spot. Sashimi was very fresh and the presentation of each dish was something to look at. I really appreciated their ice cold beer on tap. I am definitely coming back for more!
I had a great experience at this sushi place! I got to try the crab salad sushi, California rolls, and spicy salmon avocado sushi—all of them were fresh and delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was nice too. Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re craving good sushi!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing experience! The sushi was super fresh and delicious, beautifully presented and with generous portions. The service was fast and very friendly — you can tell the staff really cares about quality. The place is cozy and clean, perfect for a quiet dinner or a night out with friends. Definitely coming back and highly recommend it to anyone who loves real sushi!
Amazing starter simple but just right edamame with a few sips of hot sake hit the spot and warmed me up after a long walk in cold along College St. The Katsu Don chicken was very tasty and was a huge portion. Wonderful I am ready to walk in the freezing cold for another hour!!!
I ordered the salmon sushi set A, my partner ordered the vegetarian sushi set A, and we split an order of vegetarian tempura gyoza. Everything was great, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal including the side dishes that came with the set. I would definitely recommend and eat here again!
Food delicious and fresh, service awesome, playlist very fun, GIANT steins of Sapporo 👍🏻
This is the first I came here the food was very good and the server was good too. I will come back, nothing complain!
I don’t love sushi that much, but my beautiful girlfriend does. She wanted sushi so we came here, and I liked the spicy salmon and avocado/salmon sushi pizza very much. She was also happy with the meal. See picture attached for a scrumptious morsel of sushi pizza that my girlfriend ate. 🍣🍕
This was my very first time having sushi and it was just amazing. I thought the portions might be less but man i got filled with just 5 pieces 😅 and it's very affordable too. I got around 16-18 pieces for 21$ with salad and soupAmazing food
We had a fantastic time at KIBO Sushi. Three of us split a sushi boat, as well as a sushi pizza and one additional roll, and it was more than enough for us to split. Have to recommend the salmon sashimi and the spicy tuna roll.
Every time I come to Kibo, I feel like I’m sitting inside a piece of heaven. My meal is always absolutely amazing. The green salad is so juicy, the service is so fast and I’m always greeted with respect. One time I met other people that I stayed in touch with for a long time after. The wine is always available, the deals are always great and the price is always right. The vibe is amazing and perfect for Mother-daughter dates. I would 100% recommend this location.
Everything was delicious, had 3 different rolls. Black Dragon (grilled eel), spicy tuna dragon, and the kibo special I think. For some reason I had been skeptical about trying this place and it truly made me regret that decision. Definitely worth checking it out.
Love ordering from this Kibo location! Always delicious! I sat in today and we got the teriyaki don bulgogi and katsu don chicken bowls. They were great and very filling! This alone will fill you up as it comes with miso soup and a mini salad! Note about the katsu don: if you’re not into sauce, see if you can order it on the side as the picture in the menu does not show any sauce on the chicken, but it came with sauce on top. Regardless, it was delicious and we didn’t mind it at all. Vibes were great. Nice and calm and our server was very kind! Thank you
We came for lunch and Waitress was great! Food came pretty fast after placing our order. Presentation of the food was very nice. Food was great and Maki Rolls were decent sized. Will definitely come back
Sushi and sashimi was fresh and did not taste fishy like some other places do. The server was very kind and welcoming, and checked up on us every now and then. We ordered the love boat for 2 and it was delicious, it comes with soup, salad, and tempura. The display was beautiful as well. This location also has specialty ice cream. You can get one free mochi ice cream by posting a 5 star review.
I get takeout from here all the time and occasionally eat in. The staff are great and the food is very good quality. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
good experience! comfy seating and atmosphere, and the food was yummy. my table ordered the salmon lover and katsudon, and really enjoyed it! i ordered the veggie udon which was filling and yummy, though the cabbage was just a little raw for my liking. overall would recommend :)
Unfortunately not what I expected. Placed the order for daily special salmon and tuna rolls through SkipTheDishes, was not expecting deep fried fish and deep fried sprinkles all over the rolls. One of the pieces had deep fried broccoli inside. It was not stated in the menu that the rolls are deep fried. Edit - changed this from one to three stars because of helpful service: I reached out to SkipTheDishes and Kibo sushi house and they were both helpful to arrange a refund. Especially Kibo sushi house seems to have very good customer service!
We've been going to Kibo for a few years now. It's very convenient to where we live. The quality of the food is very hit-and-miss though. Just when you've had a couple of really good meals you get a clunker. I'm not sure why that is. Maybe the kitchen staff. The staff is very friendly and the service is quite good. They are always ready when they say they're ready for pickup.
Their food in person? Great quality and delicious! Take-out however, I ordered a love boat for two through Uber eats and we had our crab pieces wrapped in plastic inside our sushi… I nearly swallowed the plastic and pulled it out in time. Definitely a hazard, we could’ve choked on the plastic. Edit: we were offered a credit shortly after I posted this review via calling the restaurant, good customer service :)
Been ordering from this Kibo location since I’ve moved to the neighborhood.. and so far, I’m trying to like it, but I’m finding it hard to. I typically order the same item all the time, spicy salmon and dynamite rolls.. but everytime i get it, there’s a TON of rice. The maki rolls has no quality to it, since whoever prepared the food doesn’t seem like they know how to roll it properly, to avoid it looking so sloppy. Quite frankly I feel as though I’m getting more a mall sushi type of quality. :( don’t know if I’ll be eager to order from this location next time
Been going to this location for a couple of years now…have a business myself on queen -what I don’t understand is y the level of quality is so inconsistent at this location…today I spent 49 for 2 meals -a bento box and a bento with tempura -the food is disgusting -the teriyaki sauce is so thick and the beef doesn’t taste the way it should, the sauce feels clumpy and salty. The Liberty location I tried a week ago is night and day different from this location. Threw half the food away what a waste. Not going back to this location anymore!
I would give 0 stars if I could. I went to this location and the service was awful. The server said we could customize our combo and she agreed on our choices, but then she came up saying it would be a hassle to change one roll. The next problem was when she came up to do the last call order, my friend ordered more sashimi that never came. The server also said “we are closing in 50 minutes” (while we were eating), which for us it was a disrespect. After that, we asked for the bill and she gave us the machine, I was holding it to see if the payment went through and I was about to give to her when she pulled it out of my hand. Then, she started to remove everything from the table, including my girlfriend’s beer that was not done yet. She never asked, and when we realized she removed it, we mentioned that to her, and she just didn’t care - mind you that it was 9:45 still and they close at 10. The sushi was not fresh and one of the edamames we ate was rotten. Don’t go to this location, the good reviews here are just to receive the free desert they offer.
The place went downhill. It used to be good until I noticed them cutting back on portions. Each time I've ordered takeout, they'd sliced the crab meat in half. I've never seen any other sushi restaurant do this. Go to another location!
Very disappointing customer service. As someone who has worked in hospitality, I believe tips should be earned through good service, not treated as something customers are obligated to give. We were rushed at every step of our dinner (and it felt like they were doing us a favor by letting us eat there), while the food quality was overall not fresh or enjoyable.
Very good service, however the fish quality is very low for the price. Pretty much supermarket level. Everything is drenched in sauce to hide the low quality of the fish. The pieces are tiny. The pictures for the beef aburi in the menu were very misleading. What you get is basically cooked through pieces of meat. Won’t be coming back. ———- Update: 3 days after eating at Kibo Sushi, my stomach has not been right. I am reducing the rating to 1 star.
