Michaela by far was the best server ever!!! I have been to all the local rooftops and she was best part of Astra! Great environment , food and drinks were perfect! Definitely recommend! Very reasonably priced! The bang bang shrimp was my favorite!

The service, food and atmosphere was total vibe. We got a cute spot overlooking the city. They have a small mocktail menu, but very tasty. We ordered the 34oz tomahawk steak that came with a little show. Kennedy was super helpful and sweet.

What a truly wonderful experience while in town for a conference! All the staff were extremely nice but we were so lucky to have Sam as our server. If I could rate this 10 stars, I would and a lot of that has to do with him- so thank you, Sam! The atmosphere, view and food were phenomenal! The presentation of all the food and drinks were a 10/10- highly recommend their espresso martini with a twist 🍊 . If you’re thinking of going, go!

We had a great girls night at Astra! We adored our server Sam! He was fun, knowledgeable and efficient. Food was delicious. Everything we ate we loved ! Bang bang shrimp, tuna tower , ribs, salads, and the fried chicken sandwich ! Highly recommend!

When I tell you Astra has set the highest bar for what it means to be a good restaurant, I swear I'm not lying. We came to Cbus on a spontaneous trip and found Astra to be what looked like a good option for good food and as soon as we arrived, they blew us away. We came with no reservation expecting a long wait cause we wanted to request outdoor seating and we arrived during prime dinner time, but I kid you not we waited maybe 10 minutes! AMAZING! Our waitress (Logyn I believe) super kind and funny, you could tell she loves working there with the amazing effort she puts fourth. We observed the managers of this place working hard, bussing or bringing food, whatever their team needed which is such a breath of fresh air as you can't say the same with many restaurants. They showed they clearly care! Last but not least the food with a show!! We got the Flaming Tomahawk Steak and while priced higher than your typical entree, after taking a bite WOW it was 100% worth it and feeds 2-3 people! Drinks we got were great! We also got the donut hole tree and it came with a firework! The effort in presentation and attention to detail does not go unnoticed. Honestly the prices were REALLY fair! I couldn't believe the quality you are getting for the price. The atmosphere felt really fancy and upscale. Absolutely love this place and it will always be on my itinerary anytime I come by Columbus.

I reserved 2 separate tables for my husband’s birthday. They accommodated us and put them together. All of us were seated immediately and the service was OUTSTANDING. Our server went above and beyond to make our experience and my husbands birthday amazing!!!! We will definitely be back

I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday. The online reservation system is very easy. Our outside table was ready immediately and was along the edge where we enjoyed a stunning view of the city! Our server, Tristin, was absolutely amazing! We loved her smile, attentiveness, and energy! She had extensive knowledge of the menu and was able to make wonderful suggestions! She made us both feel very special! The cocktails were perfect! We shared the Bang Bang Shrimp, which was delicious! Our Filet Mignon, Sea Bass and sides were perfectly cooked and prepared! Compliments to the chef! Overall, our evening at Astra Rooftop was the perfect choice and we know that we will return again soon!

I can sense that Astra is about to be one of my favorite spots in the city. I went in tonight with a friend for a couple apps and cocktails, and Jayden made our experience that much better. He was super knowledgeable about the menu and gave us a couple recommendations we were obsessed with. He maintained a full section while giving everyone an above and beyond experience. As someone in the industry, I really appreciated it! Can’t wait to come back and try the tomahawk!!

First time at Astra and love it! Was a bit skeptical on how good the food would be, but everything I had was delicious! The cocktails are expertly crafted and I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. The vibe is immaculate, and love the option of indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely recommend for a date night or girls night out!

Living for experiences Astra delivers. We had the lobster rolls and rib appetizer both were delicious. The cocktails were good for a casual drink and enjoy night out. Customer service was great.

Such a great date night experience! We went into our reservation wanting to try as many things as possible and every single drink and food item was amazing. Highly recommend the PB&J Boulevardier and the Pineapple Whip for drinks then the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer was our absolute favorite! Service was on point and the atmosphere was cozy while still feeling upbeat and trendy. Cannot wait to come back again!

Loved this place and I wish I got more pictures! Had about a 10 minute wait to sit outside but they had a bar outside so we just sat there to wait. Kennedy was our waitress and she was so sweet and funny! We first ordered the whipped ricotta and ribs for starters and they were both so good! My cousin order the steak frites and when it was brought out the gentleman asked her to check it because it looks too dark for his preference. She said it looked okay but because it wasn’t up to par for him and he felt like she was just being nice, he offered her a shot of tequila! (We later found out he is the GM, which I was shocked because I’ve never seen a GM actually working before) (Her steak was amazing btw, we both ate our entire plates) I ordered the filet, amazing. We also ordered the flaming shots, didn’t really flame because it was too windy but they tasted good and smooth. We also saw 3 people around us who ordered the flaming steak so that was super fun to see! Lastly we had the boozey ice cream cones, those were also pretty good. The inside was also just as cute as the outside so don’t feel like you won’t have the same experience sitting inside. We were in town for an event and can’t wait to come back next year!

The food was delicious and the restaurant was very, very nice! It was my wife and mines wedding anniversary and we had a great time dining and looking over the city. We will definitely be back!

I actually left another restaurant an hour earlier because the service was so bad, and I’m so glad I ended up here instead. From the moment I sat down, my waiter Sam completely turned my night around. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring, he made the whole dining experience feel effortless. The food was great, but honestly, the service was what stood out the most. I don’t regret coming here at all, and I’ll definitely be back thanks to how well I was treated.

So much fun! You have to get a flaming shot, it’s a show:) the Hugo spritz and the bang bang shrimp were ~fire~ (literally and figuratively)..and the bartenders Nate the Great and Jack and Albert were comforting and made me feel like home!! Thank you:)

I was in the area and decided to pop up to Astra to check out the vibe! The staff was extremely welcoming upon arrival and my friend and I grabbed a couple of seats at the bar. We were given complimentary mini champagne drinks that were delicious. We had already eaten dinner but the mini “flaming” shots were really cool and tasty! I’ll definitely be back to try the food- everything we saw looked amazing. Such a cool new addition to Columbus!

ONLY LEAVING 5 STARS FOR SAM !!!! Sam the server is amazing!!! Like wow he made us feel so welcome addressed any grievances with grace. The food was subpar but Sam made up for it all. We initially had a different server who did not seem happy to be helping up so Sam turned our entire experience around for the better. So grateful.

Sam was spectacular. He recommended so many good things. Checked on us and was amazing. He was also bilingual and us Hispanics appreciated it so much. This is truly a good server. These are the kind of servers that deserve the praise. He knew everything on the menu, drinks and food. We loved sam and he is the reason we will be back!

Friday evening fun at Astra. It was packed, yet the service never missed a beat. Nate at the bar absolutely crushed it , so thoughtful and attentive. He even brought my next drink exactly as requested without any prompting as I finished my first. Despite the crowd, I truly felt like a priority. Huge kudos to Nate, Will, and Katie for making everything feel seamless and genuinely special. An all-around perfect experience.

I went here a couple weeks ago for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing! We had Sam as our server and he was so much fun. He not only gave us perfect service with our meal and drinks but was so unbelievably personable. This is the second time dining here and each time has been remarkable. Whoever hires the servers, keep it up because they truly take the experience up another level and help create such a memorable night!!! The food and drinks were delicious of course too.

The hotel that owns the parking lot had my car towed and the manager Kyle personally came down to reconcile the situation. Our server Logyn was also one the best waitresses I’ve ever had. Their hospitality was unmatched and they genuinely helped me have a night I won’t forget.

Jaden was out server and he was amazing. He was attentive but not intrusive. Anything we needed he delivered within seconds. The food and drinks were great. Atmosphere and vibe perfect. Will definitely be going back.

We were at Astra yesterday for my birthday and the service was exceptional. We started with happy hour as a group of 7 and it was very busy but the bartenders were working hard to engage with everyone. After a small mixup with food orders the manager quickly stepped in and corrected everything. We ended the night with a very romantic dinner for 2 (highly recommend Tomahawk) and it also did not disappoint. The entire restaurant staff went above and beyond to make the evening special. Mychaela our server was the sweetest touch to a great evening. We will be back and would recommend this place to anyone.

Michaela was amazing! She was full of energy, attentive, and made the whole experience feel so welcoming. It honestly felt like I was out to eat with one of my girlfriends instead of just being served at a restaurant. She checked in at the perfect times, had such a positive vibe, and truly made our visit more enjoyable. Great service like that definitely makes me want to come back!

We stumbled upon this place and decided to go ahead and grab dinner here. The service was good and attentive, the NY strip frites and pepperoni were so good! The dessert stole the show, it was a strawberry cheesecake with strawberry shortcake crumble was amazing! The only thing I did not care for was the Mac n cheese, it was pretty bland but I Would definitely recommend trying out Astra!

We enjoyed an evening here with friends for a a friend’s small graduation celebration. The Sri is were delicious and the service was friendly and had great recommendations for food and drink. I recommend going during a happy hour for some great priced menu items. It allows you to try a lot of different items at half price.

Our waitress was awsome! She recommended a drink that was delicious!! Good place to hang out with friends for drinks or a date night with that special someone. We were celebrating an anniversary. Upbeat place with a little romantic vibe.

I was really excited to hear about this place opening as it seemed like an interesting and refreshing new addition to the Columbus rooftop scene. Very first impressions were nice, was told it wouldn’t be a long wait for 4 outside so we took the time to walk around the expansive indoor space. Astra has literally every type of seating imaginable lol. High tops for 2 or 5 booths for 2 or 5 couches armchairs bar seating little bungalows whatever you can think of they have it. Once we were seated it took a good little while for a server to come over, and then an another pretty long while for the drinks to arrive. We had to remind her a couple times about items forgotten, wasn’t too familiar with the menu, little things like that but definitely didn’t ruin the experience. The food was great and the portions were exceptional, and the view and ambience is one of the best for Columbus rooftops. Definitely worth trying.

I’ve been to Astra before for drinks but this was the first time I’ve eaten there. I was impressed- all the food we ordered was very good. Our server, Mikaela, was so fun and attentive. Our group honestly had not had the best time up until we sat down (see below) and she totally turned it around for us! I would have rated a 5/5 but we still waited 45 minutes despite having a reservation (I will say management was very attentive and tried their best to make amends.)

The bang bang shrimp are fantastic. Would also recommend the flatbread. The steak was alright but nothing special. It did have great flavor and kudos for serving it with a little smattering of butter and sauces. Texture was disappointing. Admittedly, I am not a steak person so take it with a grain of salt. The tables we sat at were kinda loose and generally poor quality. They seemed better as accent pieces than tables. The interior has a heavy cheap/fake vibe. Someone let their realtor friend loose with a Wayfair account and the company card 😂. The same was not true for the staff. They were just the right amount of thoughtfully present and interacted politely and genuinely.

My sister and I went this weekend and had a nice time. The atmosphere is great and the service impeccable, drinks were decent but nothing memorable either, however I’m writing this review because the food was super bland. I’m not one to be picky about food either. We ordered the cheese fries as an app and I was starving and even given that they just had no flavor. The cheese sauce was like a watery white queso that you get at a Mexican restaurant. Wendy’s cheese fries are better serious lol. I’ve honestly never had cheese fries done wrong. I also got the green goddess wedge salad and 1. It wasn’t much of a wedge and was more leafy and 2. I think the green goddess dressing just wasn’t my cup of tea. I also added shrimp and although it was cooked well there was just no flavor to the shrimp at all… my sister got the NY strip steak frites and once again there was very little flavor to it. It tasted like an unseasoned pork chop. The butter on top was the only redeeming seasoning to make it some flavor other than just the meat. I just was shocked there aren’t more reviews about the food being subpar but maybe it was just that night and what we ordered? The Photo Booth was also out of service for hours but they finally got it running again. I’d happily give this place a second chance again and this time order more of their signature drinks and entrees. I’m sure those ones are better but they should improve their other items on the menu. Very pretty colors and decor. The patio in the spring/summer seems lovely so we will give their food another try then. Our server was also great. Oh and the music was a little too loud but you could still hear well enough. Valet was easy to find and park.

The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and checked on us often. The gentleman who brought out the Tomahawk steak and did the little presentation was great as well and had us laughing with his jokes. The steak itself was cooked nicely but came out cold, and the potatoes and broccolini were also lukewarm. I expected everything to be hot. The steak tasted good with the sauces, but the potatoes were pretty bland.

The place is really all about the ambiance. Its gorgeous and some of the food comed out with such flare. Although my table didn't not have it, they having flaming shots where the wait staff shake some cool substance over a flame to make it grow. You want a Insta spot, this is it. The food ranged from ehh to yum. Nothing was bad, but the deviled eggs had very little flavor and all you could taste was the paprika. The bang bang shrimp came recommended by the staff and they were right to do so. Its like a hot wing and tempura shrimp had a baby. The whipped ricotta and honey was delicious and the pot stickers were large and flavorful. As for the drinks- eh. They looked beautiful. Again the presentation was stunning. However, it was just okay. Not the best drink ive ever had and not the worst. I got the pineapple gin drink. We went during haopy hour which was 4pm-6pm and 3 cocktails, a mocktail, and 5 appetizers its came to ~$80, so $20 a person.

We visited Astra to celebrate a birthday. To start with the positives: the restaurant offers wonderful city views (especially if you can secure a window seat), the décor is beautiful, and the food was very good. Our server was polite, attentive, and very efficient. However, a few aspects fell short: 1. Furniture layout: The section where we were seated had a long, high communal-style table that overshadowed the surrounding tables. It gave the impression that the regular tables were unusually low. 2. Seating comfort: The chairs are noticeably low relative to the table height, making it difficult to dine comfortably. 3. Service: When our dessert was brought out, it was accidentally knocked over on the table, spilling sauce and water onto us. There was no apology, though we were not charged for the dessert. 4. Window seating request: We had asked for a window-side table in our reservation, but the hosts at the front told us none were available. Once seated, we noticed two unreserved window tables. After checking with our server, we were moved - something the hosts could have handled better. Overall, I would not recommend Astra for an intimate or fine‑dining experience, nor for special celebrations. However, if you're a large group of friends or coworkers looking for a place with good views, large tables, and decent food in the downtown area, it is worth considering. Valet parking is available ($15).

The atmosphere there was great. We had a group with a nice private table and had a tv to watch football. There weren’t too many food options on the menu but the bang bang shrimp was good. The drinks were really good and shout-out to our server, Sam, he was amazing and had great recs.

Food and drink were tasty, atmosphere could have been better. Was trying to go out for a nice place on the roof, website said business casual, but our neighbors were in shorts and a rugby shirt, I mean cmon. Real pain was our server said hi, went over a bunch of specials delivered like we were in a cartoon, then disappeared for 20 minutes. Another server came over and apologized saying the first had to leave, which, okay understood, life happens…but then he was helping another table maybe 5 minutes later??? Tables were small, too many people loitering around the bar, ambience was pretty crappy, food was okay, and service was mediocre. Oh and despite having a reservation we had a 20 minute wait…

We had a family dinner for 8, the afternoon of 2/7/2026. Our party's order included 5 of the New York strip steaks ($47 each) and all of them were very tough and grizzly. We were charged for 3 menu items that we did not order or receive. Astra Rooftop charges fees which they do not disclose prior to being charged such a as 3% for using a credit card and 1% for "Community Reinvestment". For our party size they automatically added 20% for gratuity including 20% of fees. The charges for the 3 items which we did not order or receive including fees, taxes and tip totaled over $77 and Astra Rooftop only credited ~$59...shame on them! They retained the fees, tip and taxes for the items that we did not order but they creatively added to our bill. What a racket!! I requested a copy of my receipt otherwise I would have missed the bogus charges as I am sure they had hoped. I recommend that others request a copy of the bill, before paying, and review it carefully! I am curious whether this is an ongoing ploy which they get by with. We were there to celebrate the accomplishments of a family member at a nice place, unfortunately Astra Rooftop, with their antics, left a sour taste. Also, regardless that they may say in advance that they have high chairs, they do not.

I recently went to dinner here to celebrate my birthday and I would say I will not be back. Our reservations were pushed back originally and when we arrived on time the desk staff shared they would text us when the table was ready. The text never came, after over 30 minutes of waiting we had to find staff when then sat us past our second reservation time. We ordered the flaming steak that comes with veggies and potatoes. When I say everything was cold, it was ice cold. We ended up just taking our food home. Upon getting home the waiting staff that boxed our items didn’t include the bone. Which wouldn’t have been a big deal if there wasn’t still meat on it which the individual that did the flaming performance specifically shared don’t forget the bone as there was still meat on it. The staff wasn’t attentive and didn’t check on our table. Over all I personally would say don’t waste your time and money on a restaurant that doesn’t seem to care, especially if you’re celebrating something special. It is cute inside but there are a lot of cute places you can find that will make the experience a positive memory instead of this restaurant.
