Amazing experience at this Middle Eastern / Lebanese restaurant by Como Lago! The food was great — we had rice with chicken, lamb shawarma, and arayes. Everything was super tasty and full of flavor; the only small note is that the arayes felt like they were missing a little something, but they were still enjoyable. The ambiance is very nice, with good vibes and pleasant music that makes the experience even better. What really stood out was the staff — super friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Overall, a wonderful place with great food, lovely atmosphere, and outstanding service. Highly recommended!

The mixed mezze platter here is amazing! Where do I even begin? The bamya had the perfect tang with the tomato sauce, and the falafel were perfect. Good hummus is hard to come by in Como, but here it is magnificent - smooth texture with the perfect ratio of tahini to chickpea. Everything tasted so fresh, and everyone there was lovely. I highly recommend if you're looking for Lebanese food in Como!

I honestly didn’t expect to find this level of authentic Lebanese food in Como — but wow, was I wrong! We had the Shish Tawouk, Shawarma plate, and Tabbouleh, and everything was absolutely delicious. So fresh and full of flavor. I got to meet the chef, Mohammad, who’s actually from Lebanon, which makes total sense because the food really felt like the real deal. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and there’s plenty of space if you’re coming with a bigger group. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

Being in more than 30 Michelin star restaurants, I would tell here should be a star. Of course the serving is not about this type of restaurants, but food worse it for sure. Phenomenal food. I agree with so many other people. We've had Lebanese food in many different countries. And this is by far one of the best. Don't be put off by the exterior it doesn't look the greatest. However, the food is totally worth it. Thank you for the best meal we have had in Italy so far!!

Sono stato in questo ristorante a Como con alcuni amici. Ci è stato consigliato per l’accessibilità dei costi, dato il luogo in cui si trova. Il menù è davvero ampio ed il ragazzo che ci ha accolti ha saputo spiegarci in maniera chiara e concisa come scegliere nel modo migliore. Abbiamo avuto alcune richieste particolari in merito agli ordini, tutte esaudite tranne quella di una pizza senza glutine, che, a detta del locale, avremmo dovuto avvisare qualche ora prima in modo tale da lasciare il tempo di organizzare i forni. Le nostre pizze sono arrivate tempestivamente ed il sapore non era per niente male. Io personalmente ho preso una Merendero Grande e sono uscito dal ristorante a pancia piena. Unica pecca che ci è quasi costata una pizza in più sul conto, è stata una piccola svista del cassiere che ci ha aggiunto la pizza in più. Insospettito dallo scontrino, ho chiesto delucidazioni in merito e mi è stata restituita subito la cifra in eccesso. Per quanto abbiamo speso in un posto come Como, sarò contento di ritornarvi.

È la seconda volta che mi fermo da El Merendero per pranzo con soddisfazione. Considerate le belle giornate che novembre ci sta regalando ho avuto la fortuna di pranzare in un tavolo all'esterno crogiolandomi al caldo del sole. La prima volta ho mangiato il classico hamburger, ieri invece mi sono deliziata con un'insalata con pollo e molti altri ingredienti. Per quanto riguarda le insalate segnalo che oltre a quelle proposte nel menù è possibile comporne una da zero scegliendo fra gli ingredienti disponibili. Materie prime fresche e di qualità. Personale gentile e posizione buona. Prezzi modici. Peccato il bagno che si trova distante dal ristorante, è solo uno, e poco pulito. Mi auguro che questa mia recensione possa essere utile per te. Great food, Hummus was delicious and the meats were great. There are no views and lots of traditional Arabic styled interiors which makes is cute as you know it’s family run. Better than the pizza and pasta we had around the corner, great value and the serving size is huge. €50 for two people for drinks, dinner and extras.

The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered hummus, shawarma, and shish tawouk, and everything was flavorful until the last bite. Despite arriving after 2 pm, just an hour before closing, they still welcomed us in. I especially loved their hummus. To top it off, the chef came out to meet everyone at the end. Pretty much what other reviews have said. Good if you want a soft drink and a place to sit before carrying on. Avoid for everything else. This includes food and coffee.

Ci siamo recati in questo posto con degli amici a mangiare, il locale si trova in un vicolo vicino alla stazione dei bus e dei treni, quindi facilmente raggiungibile con i mezzi. Invece per chi arriva in auto trovare parcheggio e un po’ più complicato. Ci siamo seduti fuori, abbiamo ordinato e fin qui sono stati anche veloci, arriva subito da bere… però c’è stato un problema con i panini. Nel momento che arrivano i panini, arrivano scaglionati non tutti insieme, il cameriere confonde un panino per un altro, così io mi ritrovo a mangiare il panino del mio amico invece del mio, dove mi trovo i funghi (ed era giusto che c’erano, ma non nel panino che ho ordinato io) io allergica perfortuna me ne accorgo in tempo. Peccato perché i panini sono anche buoni, ma la prontezza dei camerieri e da riguardare. Per questa volta è andata bene ma state più attenti, perché se ti ordino un panino specifico c’è forse un motivo, no?

Sono stato una sera a cena con amici! Posto tranquillo nei pressi del Bel Lago di Como! Il cibo non mi ha fatto impazzire! Non tornerei certamente per mangiare, ma per bere qualcosa va anche bene!

Sono 40anni che vengo da voi, ho sempre mangiato da Dio, prendo sempre lo stesso panino ed il tiramisù, buonissimi. .oggi il panino era freddo, il tiramisù era qualcos'altro. Il cameriere molto simpatico, ma le ragazze facciano un altro lavoro, panino chiesto tagliato e non lo era , poi 4 Panini diversi e non sapeva che Panini fossero , finita la sambuca. .mah

È ora di cena, ma non sono ancora rientrato a casa e non ho niente pronto; decido quindi per un take away leggero. Vedo una discreta lista di insalate, ma quelle che mi interessano hanno la rucola, che detesto. Mi viene assicurato che posso averla senza, e allora ordino due piatti, una per il pranzo del giorno dopo, entrambi da preparare senza rucola Ritiro i miei due incarti, me ne torno a casa e li trovo entrambi con abbondante rucola. Ormai non potevo fare altro che adattarmi, eliminandola. Al piatto me ne sarei accorto subito. O forse sarebbero arrivati come richiesto... Ci tornerò, pronto a controllare e a discutere

Tutto orribile, ordinato ore 13 dopo molteplici richiami iniziano a portare alle ore 14 x di più con piatti completamente errati e portando un cestino di pane dopo 25 minuti, continuando a rimbalzare chiedo in cucina, mai visto maionese e ketchup nella tazzina da caffè, lasagne insipide senza sale, tagliatelle fresche senza sale, che non avevano niente di fresco, addirittura abbrustolite, secche e rigide, con prosciutto secco e panna, completano il tutto galleggiavano nell'olio e come non dimenticare la mozzarella gialla che ovviamente non ha toccato nessuno. La logica è di non tornare mai più...CUCINA DA INCUBO

Tavolo prenotato, ci siamo presentati leggermente in anticipo, il personale gentilmente ci ha fatto accomodare. Ordinato 3 hamburger, un insalata e bevande dopo vari tentativi... Manca il pane, manca la birra... Alla fine sono arrivate solo le patatine e da bere, una porzione di patatine in più che non avevamo chiesto e la ragazza ha precisato che se sono arrivate le abbiamo ordinate, ovviamente non era così quindi rimandate in cucina. Alla fine per avere 3 panini abbiamo aspettato 2 ore, nel momento in cui esasperati ci siamo alzati per andarcene sono arrivati 2 dei 3 panini ma a quel punto la pazienza era finita, visto ti che tra l'altro veniva servita gente che era arrivata dopo di noi. Mentre facevamo le rimostranze alla responsabile una delle cameriere ci accusa di non aver voluto i panini che erano comunque arrivati ( dopo 2 ore abbondanti). Mi spiace per i ragazzi che lavorano li, ma la disorganizzazione regna sovrana, Una gran confusione e mancanza di professionalità. La scusa del giorno festivi non regge, se hai un locale in centro a Como devi sapere come farlo funzionare altrimenti lascia perdere. Meglio puntare su altri locali del centro meglio organizzati.

Una stella regalata, perché meno non si può. Addio al Merendero di una volta. Quello che oggi porta questo nome è l’ennesimo locale storico svuotato di identità, ridotto a una mensa triste e senza alcuna cura. Le foto parlano da sole: fritti bruciati, secchi, unti, dall’aspetto immangiabile. Crocchette e patate che sanno di olio vecchio, con colori e consistenze che fanno passare l’appetito. Da voltastomaco, più che da tavola. Il capitolo affettati è imbarazzante: il presunto prosciutto cotto non era prosciutto cotto, ma qualcosa di indefinibile, probabilmente spalla o un affettato industriale di bassissima qualità, estremamente salato e sgradevole. Una cosa che non dovrebbe mai finire in un panino, figuriamoci essere servita in un locale che un tempo aveva un nome. Insalata buttata lì senza criterio, ingredienti scollegati, piatti assemblati senza gusto né rispetto per chi paga. Prezzi assolutamente ingiustificati rispetto a ciò che arriva nel piatto. Il risultato è chiaro: qualità assente, passione zero, identità cancellata. Un altro locale storico trasformato in qualcosa di anonimo e mediocre. Per me è un addio definitivo. Peccato, perché questo posto meritava tutt’altro destino.

Personale scortese e disorganizzato. Siamo state “servite” se così si può dire dopo un’ora. Ci hanno fatto sedere prima ad un tavolo poi abbiamo sentito che si lamentavano della sistemazione e ci hanno fatte spostare, e fin qui ok. Dopo un’ora di attesa hanno servito dei tavoli arrivati dopo di noi… quando ci hanno chiesto l’ordinazione glielo abbiamo fatto notare e il cameriere (secondo noi un proprietario) ci ha servite da scocciato. Ho chiesto un panino e il cameriere, ancora più scocciato e scorbutico, fa che non era possibile e poteva farmi solo gli hamburger, gli ho risposto che andasse bene, per chiudere lì la scena. La mia amica ha fatto notare che dopo un’ora di attesa nessuno ci aveva avvisato della disponibilità del menù, a quel punto il cameriere risponde che potevamo benissimo andarcene. Ci siamo alzate e siamo uscite, il cameriere ha creato una scena imbarazzante, per noi e per gli altri camerieri che poveretti hanno continuato a scusarsi mentre uscivamo, saranno probabilmente abituate a scene del genere. Non ci torno più.

We will not be back. We were enjoying a nice meal. Then all of a sudden the smoke filled the restaurant. I asked our server she kindly went outside and asked them to stop smoking right in front of the door at the restaurant. 2 seconds later one of the chefs literally stared me down for over 2 minutes and did not move. Obviously he was mad he had to stop smoking or he could have moved over 10 steps. I chose not to smoke and wanted to eat a nice meal. Not my chef smoke and blow his breathe on me while I was eating. Overall the food was pretty solid. The tahini on the falafel was different tasting but the hummus and salad were very good.
