Una bellissima scoperta questo ristorante in centro Como in una location incredibile con staff gentile e disponibile, piatti tipici buonissimi. Risotto al pesce persico molto molto apprezzato! Dolci buonissimi Consigliato se si vuole un’atmosfera calda e accogliente.

Sono stato 3 volte al Sociale e ci sarà un perchè. In pieno centro. Piatti tradizionali e non. Posto intimo e accogliente. Prezzi nella media.

Ristorante meraviglioso, dove trascorrere piacevoli e gustose serate in compagnia! Cliente da diversi anni, mangiato sempre in modo ottimale, accoglienza familiare, allegra e professionale. Lo consiglio a tutti.

Siamo stati qua ieri sera per San Valentino, un locale veramente carino, il cibo veramente buono, il personale gentilissimo e simpatico. Lo consiglio vivamente.

Da buon toscano, mangiare e bere bene per me è fondamentale e il Ristorante Sociale è sempre una garanzia. Atmosfera e accoglienza familiare. Ottima cucina dai classici lombardi e non solo. Una carta dei vini davvero interessate. È sempre un piacere tornare da voi!

We stumbled upon this restaurant after being turned away from the spot we initially wants to go due to lack of reservation. So glad we did because we had such a lovely dinner. I think our waiter was unsure of us at first but very quickly warmed up and was great! Food was our favorite in Como.

Ask for seating upstairs , it has much better vibe than downstairs. Their risottos are very good. Among the appetizers we like the dry veal the most.

We ordered the Parma ham with mozzarella, fish risotto, osso buco, the crab pasta, and tiramisu. All the food was amazing, I rate it all 5 starts!! Cozy restaurant with amazing service. The staff were very friendly. We spent 105 for 3 people which is great value for money. I would come back here again.

after trying different restaurants in como, my mom, my sister and i have unanimously decided that this restaurant is the best one in como. the server was the sweetest and they were welcoming. we’ve had a number of not so pleasant experiences with some of the restaurants here but the staff and people or ristorante sociale made us feel so welcome. we are here now but are thinking about coming back tomorrow again! the fish and osso bucco risotto, the tagliatelle, and tiramisu are a must try !!

The food is the best in all the restaurants that we had went to in Italy. The server was very friendly and attentive. He briefly informed us what to add into which dish if the food is not tasty enough for us and his service was prompt and we are very happy for his service. The prices are also very reasonable and cheaper than most restaurants.

I would highly recommend this restaurant! The food is perfect, service was good, and atmosphere was also good. I recommend the ossobucco risotto (beef spin risotto) and the fish risotto. Both local to the area and we’ll prepared. The fish risotto was surprising good, never had any risotto quite like that. Pumpkin potato soup was also very very good. (The portion was really big (we saw from the table next to us) so we asked to share one with the two of us. The restaurant was nice enough to serve in two bowls for us so we don’t look silly in the restaurant.

The place was fantastic and it was like dining at your own little restaurant. Alice (our server) was so great and knowledgeable and we literally had every dish on the menu. The hummus, studel, langoustines, shrimp flambe & more along with fantastic wine selections. We had a great Nebbiolo and we loved everything about the place and would come back in a flash. The risotto with perch was outstanding and the carbonara was excellent. Ripped it off with one of the best tiramisus we've ever had. Service was awesome and the atmosphere was cozy. A perfect little meal.

The chef's pene pasta (which is with cream, tomato sause and pesto) was excellent. The service was really good. We had the chocolate salami for desert which was basically chocolate balls shaped as discs, they tasted good as well. The chairs and tables are a bit childish which lowers the prestige of the place. Prices are fair as well. In general I would definitely recommend this place, good quality Italian food.

Bella la location in un ristorante a più piani ricavato su un antico edificio. Ottima la cucina con piatti della tradizione lombarda e tipica comasca. Ottimo il servizio e tempi di attesa molto brevi. Prezzi nella media per la qualità proposta.

Ottimo ristorante con piatti della tradizione comasca e milanese, dispone di due piani e gli ambienti sono molto eleganti anche se devo dire, il piano superiore è poco illuminato al tavolo. Ossobuco con risotto molto buono e strudel di salsiccia ottimo.

Nascosto nei vicoli di Como abbiamo scoperto anni fa questo bellissimo ristorante, tranquillo e appartato. La cucina caratterizzata dai piatti tipici del lago, ma non solo, è buona anche se alcuni accostamenti non sono particolarmente felici. Bellissima la sala decorata al piano superiore.

Place was really pleasant. It looks really small at first, but there is a good size dining room upstairs. The downstairs is a bit more quaint and lights are a bit dimmer. So, a little better atmosphere if you are wanting that. I would suggest making a reservation as it gets busy. The food was good, flavors are downplayed in an old school way, allowing the taste and textures of the food to come through. The meatballs were a good starter, I'd strongly suggest also ordering the Octopus, which was so good. There is also quite a lengthy selection of wines, a few sold by the glass. I would recommend the spot, it made for a great dinner experience. The servers were excellent!!! At no time did we have to wait long for them to come by and order anything extra, or take away empty dishes. If you're from the states, be aware the flavors are different... the cheesecake might not be your cup of tea. It's, again, old school. Unllike in the states, it isn't a sweet cheesecake with a sweet chocolate over it. Not a criticism, just so you're aware. Anyway, strongly suggest the spot!!! Check 'em out!!!

Great decoration on second floor. The ambience was good. The food were mostly nice especially on the thinly cut veal and pastas. Good selection of wine. The steak was a bit hard to chew, and the potatoes lack a bit of taste probably need more sauce. Otherwise its a very good place to eat.

Con il mio ragazzo abbiamo prenotato un tavolo per due il giorno di San Valentino: tutte le coppia avevano una candela sul tavolo, noi no. Non che ci importasse della candela, ma in qualche modo è una forma di discriminazione. Per il resto, la location è molto interessante, così come lo è il menù, anche se le aspettative erano più alte. In generale il rapporto qualità/prezzo è buono.

Food was so so.. cabonara was made using bacon instead of guanciale... Imagine that.. this is Italy we are talking about.. Fish was overcooked... Overall not the best meal I had in Italy.

It's an incredible place for Your mouth and eyes. Food is amasing, portions are proper or even large for some dishes. One very important detail - being Italian speaking person with You, because personell is very rude if one does not speak italian, they scoff, roll their eyes, and even shout because someone is speaking english. I didn't even recognise that something was bad until I exited restaurant and understood that in the end while I was paying hostess was shouting on me in italian because "she doesn't need to speak english, they are Italian!". So, for pure english speakers - beware, but a little bit of dictionary, smiles and You'll be fine.

Food were delicious rosemary steak 🥩 and saffron risotto. don't order cooked vegetables. It's remind me of hospital food The waiter a little bit on a rush although no lines or something. They count the bread basket and if you done they bring another even if you don't order.

I would like to give 3.5 stars, but Google Doesn’t let me. The Linguine with Shrimp and Tomatoes were a simple but well made dish. Also the Atmosphere is quite nice in a traditional rustic cellar-like environment. However, quite a few points which disappointed me. The complementary bread was a bit stale, probably from the early morning which dried out until the evening. The breaded pork (Schnitzel/Cottoletto), was also not as good as hoped. Neither crispy outside, nor soft/tender inside. Also rather bland with a hint of too much frying oil used. With added lemon much better but still a bit underwhelming. The Mascia apple cake was alright, but not what you might expect as a foreigner when you read apples and raisins. Neither very ‘Applely’, nor ‘raisiny’, nor sweet, nor cinnamony. But that’s of course very subjective.

1st impression was underwhelming. The entrance a bit difficult to find. It’s down a hallway. Once you find the door you enter into a nice cave like restaurant. The restaurant was pretty empty since they had just opened but there was little ambience, no music through the speakers. It was so underwhelming we almost left but decided to give it a chance. We were seated immediately but there was no bar area either. The tables were farm-like and nothing fancy. No candle lights at the table, and the lighting of the location although pleasant, could have benefited if it was a bit dimmer. The chairs get uncomfortable after about 30 minutes. The food was good, tasted fresh and home made. The prices were very reasonable and the wine selection was good. The service overall was fast but we were among the first there. The place grows on you after you’re there for a bit. I’m not sure if my timing was off but this place was not spectacular, just average or above average. No major issues and decent overall.

Super overrated. I said it. Not bad but definitely not great. People recommended this place to us...in Como!?? Food is either bland, over salted (carbonara), too watery (risotto), or too dry (bread). Go to Osterria del Gallo if you want authentic Como cuisine.

Siamo stati ieri a cena in questo ristorante, attratti soprattutto dalla splendida location, che purtroppo è stata l’unica vera nota positiva della serata. La cucina è risultata decisamente deludente. I piatti erano privi di sapore e completamente sbilanciati:la polenta è arrivata tiepida e insipida, il carpaccio pieno d’acqua dei finocchi appoggiati sopra a caso, anche questo senza sale e pochissimo balsamico, i risotti sembravano semplicemente riso e burro, senza profondità né carattere. Anche il risotto al pesce persico era poco più di un riso con burro e parmigiano, con il pesce fritto appoggiato sopra, anch’esso senza sale e senza particolare gusto. Nel complesso, una cucina piatta e poco curata. Avevamo espresso chiaramente il nostro disappunto già dopo l’antipasto, ma il feedback è stato sostanzialmente ignorato. Nessuno è tornato a chiederci come stesse andando la cena, lasciandoci con la sensazione che ci fosse poca attenzione verso il cliente. È un peccato trovare un ristorante così orientato al turismo in una città come Como, dove ci si aspetta qualità e attenzione ai dettagli, soprattutto considerando il contesto così bello.
