Just fabulous, booked ahead and glad we did because you need it. Lovely atmosphere, lovely friendly staff, great food. We both had a starter, main and dessert plus wine and coffees, the total was approx €80. Broccoli and taleggio tart to start, gorgeous, chicken and potatoes for her and pork with polenta for the other half, again gorgeous, dessert wine and chocolate tart to finish. Couldn't fault anything, book ahead, you will not be disappointed 🙂😋😋😋

Coziest little restaurant in Como, Italy. Down a tiny cobblestone street Via Vitani, one of the oldest and most authentic streets in the historic centre of Como. Owned by Sylvia, the daughter of the family that started the restaurant 43 years ago. She said her dad still comes in daily, "just to check on things". The food was so tasty and fresh, and the atmosphere was even better. You just savored the caramelized coated vegetables until the last bite. Upon entering, You immediately get the sense of entering your grandmother's home. The place is filled with a very healthy portion of wine, and other treats, along with wall to wall roosters. I asked the history of the roosters inside, and she said gallo, part of the name, means rooster. There are mugs, plates, pitchers and creamers, along with art and drawings and any other "rooster" you can imagine, all given by customers over the years. They definitely have a loyal fan base, And, for good reason!

Great quality food in a really nice place with a history. The service was really nice and helpful. You do need to reserve a place before coming because it’s usually booked. We had ravioli and fettuccine with tiramisu.

We traveled from Canada to Lake Como, Italy and picked this local restaurant to enjoy local cuisine. We were blown away by the amazing atmosphere, cuisine and staff. We were blessed to meet the owners and staff of this boutique restaurant. They are such a tight knit family where they even dine together. Don’t miss this gem !!!

Lovely hidden gem in the old town of como. I recommend arrining shortly after opening since after arriving a lot of people have started queueing. The waiters were very friendly and forthcoming. We felt welcomed and appreciater. Overall it was truly a pleasant experience and I'd be happy to return again for lunch or dinner.

A very rustic menu that was a welcome change from the burrata and pomodori you seem to find on every menu. Make a reservation as this place gets packed. Go in and let the owners guide you on what is the best of the day. Highlights for us were the gazpacho and the stuffed focaccia.

It is a family-owned restaurant run by three generations. The owners, a warm and friendly Italian family, create a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is small and bustling, with the owner seemingly knowing most of the customers. I enjoyed three different Italian dishes, along with tiramisu and house wine. Everything—from the food to the ambiance and hospitality—was wonderful.

Called for a reservation and lucked out! The cheese focaccia with the cured meat was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I’ve never had anything like it before and I know I’ll be thinking about it for a long time The restaurant felt homey and the food was delicious. Everyone was very kind and one of the ladies even took the time to explain the menu.

This restaurant looked amazing from the start! It was fully booked so we had to make a reservation to eat there at lunch and it was totally worth it. This was our favorite meal not only in Como but Italy in general. It is a family business from over 40 years. Not only they have food with an amazing quality but also with nice prices.

Brilliant restaurant. We just arrived in Como and we’re starving. Found this amazing restaurant from Google and it was definitely a great start to our trip. It’s a really cute family fun restaurant work lots of great decor and home made liquors. We luckily got a table but normally it’s advised to book 1-2 days before. The food was delicious, cured meats and soft cheese in olive oil to start. Then pork shank with polenta - this was so tasty and melted in the mouth. We were so full but still went for dessert - crème caramel and chocolate cake. The wine was really light and fresh too. An amazing experience and the perfect place to start our Como holiday.

Tiny little local restaurant. We tried to have lunch here and the lady was nice enough to put our name down for an hour later since they were currently full. They have a daily menu that changes and everything is delicious. Prices were good and service was good. Definitely didn't feel like one of those tourist traps. Great restaurant with a family vibe. The food was exceptional so we visited twice during our short stay in Como. Had 3 courses and a bottle of wine on each visit plus a couple of beers and all for €80. We visited as a couple. The lady who took our order was particularly helpful with explaining the menu in English and the man who brought out our food was able to make suggestions around desserts. Definitely one to book though as we saw numerous people being turned away on both our visits as the restaurant was full. Perfect little restaurant just outside the main squares in Como and one which we will definitely return to if we visit again.

Osteria vicino al centro di Como. Ambiente accogliente ma pochi posti, conviene prenotare. Davvero buoni i pizzoccheri e gli altri piatti locali con salumi e formaggi. Servizio abbastanza veloce, prezzi nella media.

È un bel ristorantino incastonato nelle vie del centro di Como. La gestione è famigliare e la scelta dei vini è infinita. Il menu tuttavia offre poche portate, ma comunque molto buone. Abbiamo preso la focaccia al formaggio, il crudo, due orecchiette al ragù ed un piatto di verdure al forno. Conto 57€ con coperto, acqua e un calice di barbera. Sicuramente da riprovare.

I really loved this place! The staff is genuinely sweet, welcoming, and makes you feel right at home. One of the things I appreciated most is that their menu changes daily, which keeps things fresh and exciting. But the best part is — it truly surprises you in the best way possible. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. It’s one of those places that leaves you with a warm, happy feeling. Totally worth trying — I’d highly recommend it if you’re in the area!

Greetings fellow travelers. Stop reading this review and come here right away for lunch or dinner. This establishment gets packed out quickly, so arrive early. The menu changes daily. The selection is always inviting. Order your heart's content. You will be surprised how fabulous it is. I tried their house wine, both the red and the white none disappointed, In fact it exceeded my expectations. The cuisine here is local and with local ingredients. Take note of their polenta. It is like nothing you've ever had before outside this area. I had to purchase several packages to take home. They also sell wine and other provisions at this trattoria. When I come back to Como this is the first place I will come to eat. The owner, Paola and her staff treat you with a warm welcome and serve you like your family. Praise is all I have for this trattoria.

Posto storico e atmosfera piacevole. Nel complesso abbiamo mangiato bene, ma... Birra arrivata calda e, vabbè, ce l'hanno cambiata senza batter ciglio. Ordinato dolce di cui si erano dimenticati, dopo sollecito, arrivato. In cassa ci sbagliano il conto, me ne accorgo e si scusano. Ma almeno un digestivo ce lo volete offrire? :)

Posizione comoda al centro, con un ambiente piacevole. Tutto all'interno parla del nome del ristorante🐓 La cucina è abbastanza semplice, proprio come le nostre nonne cucinano a casa e i prezzi sono sotto la media. Buono per un pranzo economico👍 Tuttavia, la cucina di nostra madre è migliore. I camerieri sono veloci e attenti, specialmente il ragazzo.

Attenzione al Cliente e servizio davvero scarso. Cibo molto standard, da trattoria di livello medio basso. Molto peggiorato rispetto a un paio di anni fa. Peccato, location sempre carina e in centro ma oramai sensazione di essere arrivati e di poter proporre qualsiasi cosa di livello medio basso e con un servizio davvero scarso

Servizio scadente, non tornerò. L’esperienza è stata deludente nonostante il locale fosse carino. 1. Mi hanno assegnato un tavolo proprio davanti all’ingresso (letteralmente ad un metro dalla porta), con freddo e continuo passaggio di persone, quindi ho chiesto gentilmente di potermi spostare in un tavolino un po’ più appartato, vicino a quello che mi avevano proposto, che stavano sparecchiando e che era libero. La risposta che ho ricevuto è stata: “Eh… ma se arrivano tre clienti”, nonostante non ci fosse nessuno in attesa. 2. Hanno preso l'ordine a due ragazzi arrivati dopo di me. 3. Alla fine del pasto, ho chiesto un caffè mentre la cameriera sparecchiava, ma mi ha completamente ignorato, parlando con altri clienti. 4. Per pagare, ho dovuto aspettare in piedi un’eternità a causa della evidente disorganizzazione. Servizio scortese e disorganizzato. Non tornerò.

La mia critica non è relativo al cibo, indubbiamente di buona qualità, con prodotti locali. Non ci siamo trovati invece bene sul fatto che ci siamo seduti alle 14e45 quando avevamo prenotato alle ore 14. Poi molte cose scritte nel menu erano finite. Ad esempio avevamo tutti "pensato" di ordinare brasato con polenta e ci hanno detto che era finito. In alternativa ci hanno portato scaloppina con patate, tra l'altro pagata lo stesso prezzo del bresato nonostante siano 2 prodotti che avrebbero dovuto avere importo diverso, e poi la scaloppina era davvero poca, buona ma pochissima. Per finire neanche 2 dolci su 4 del menu erano disponibili. Consiglio quindi di prenotare il ristorante solo alle 12, perché dopo le 14 avrete davvero difficoltà a trovare qualcosa di conveniente.
