After trying Cartel de Tacos once, I have been going back for more. I got the tacos campechano and their carnitas. Best place to get authentic and tasty Mexican cuisine. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. Perfect spot for a night out with friends or having lunch with the family!
My Cartel de Tacos 1st visit… 35min drive up from Hollywood,fl… A Flavor-Packed Experience! 🌮💥 If you’re looking for some of the best tacos in town, Cartel de Tacos is the spot to hit. I tried the Al Pastor with pineapple, Campechano, Asada, and a Sope, and every bite was packed with flavor. The Al Pastor was perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of sweetness from the pineapple. The Campechano had a great mix of textures and flavors, while the Asada was juicy and tender. The Sope was a standout—thick, hearty, and topped with fresh ingredients that made it a perfect complement to the tacos. What really tied everything together was their homemade salsa—fresh, flavorful, and with just the right kick. Whether you’re a taco lover or just looking for a great meal, Cartel de Tacos delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend!
Best tacos in Coral Springs hands down! I ordered the carnitas, lengua, cabeza, and asada tacos and a jamaica agua fresca. All tacos are $2 on Tuesdays. I hope they keep using the blue corn tortillas because there is no other taqueria in the area that uses them. They tasted amazing and were cooked perfectly. All of the salsas were amazing too, my favorite being the red salsa. Definitely coming back again and again and again.
RESTAURANT 10/10 FOOD 10/10 I am so glad that they opened up right in my neighborhood. I’ve been to this restaurant 3 times since I found out about it and I’m not disappointed. Real authentic tacos very delicious and the price is amazing would even pay more for the quality of food they give. Never have I ever wanted someone else’s business to strive as much as I do this business. I do not know the owners and in fact found this restaurant all on my own. So this review is 100% true. I’m not being paid nor was I even asked to place this review. I genuinely am just grateful to have this place so close to me.
So, my ex and I had a breakup so catastrophic, even soap operas would've called it 'a bit much.' I had nowhere to go, no will to live, and absolutely zero motivation to cook (because honestly, every meal reminded me of her... even sushi). Late at night I was taking a drive and pulled up to a plaza filled with people lined up out the door, it looked like a new restaurant was opening up, Cartel De Tacos, I walked in and ordered some tacos de lengua, and bruh, when I say that within one bite; years of heartbreak disappeared in an instant. I became a new man instantly, full of hope, dreams, and ambitions. Honestly, I would have never thought the key to emotional healing was wrapped in a taco… but here we are. I’m coming back for sure!!!
It’s hard to find a good Mexican spot that offers authentic and delicious tacos that compare to ones in Mexico, but now I can say I found one. This taco spot offers a wide range of meats, delicious aguas frescas and provides a great atmosphere to all their customers. Will be coming in again soon! El cartel de los tacos ofrecen un rango de tacos excepcionales y genuinos! Se ha convertido en un lugar para visitar seguido con la familia!
My wife and I came in to try this new taco spot. We are usually very picky with our choices of food but we were blown away with the quality! I never had Birria tacos like the ones shown in the picture and it was just amazing. Definitely will visit again, the owners Sergio and Jimmy are fantastic and their staff is friendly. I became a huge fan of Cartel De Tacos and whoever is reading this needs to become one too!
So let me start by saying that not every taco place has lengua, and tripa. Those are some of the best and unique flavors of tacos so for this place to have it speaks volumes on authenticity. Valeria was super nice from the get go. Helped me with some other choices she recommends, the food itself was killer. Really becomes a too contender against some of the staples that have been here for longer.
Normally I don’t like going out to eat Tacos in Coral Springs, as many of them don’t taste authentic, but as soon I heard of this place, I decide to give it the benefit of doubt… and I don’t regret it!!!!! BEST TACOS IN CORAL SPRINGS, BROWARD COUNTY, AND SOUTH FLORIDA. The tacos are very authentic from Lengua to Carnitas to Asada. I invite everyone to come and give it a try with friends and family.
El Cartel de Tacos is fire 🔥 — the food’s packed with flavor, the tacos taste authentic, and the vibe is chill and welcoming. You can tell everything’s made fresh, and the staff makes you feel right at home. Definitely one of the best taco spots around!
i’ve been to this spot 3 times since they opened, honestly as far as birria tacos go, they are by far the best i’ve ever had, they have so much flavor and are amazing, will definitely be coming back to this spot and i definitely recommend you to as well, 5 stars!!!
The best most authentic tacos I've ever had! Love that they use blue corn tortilla and the salsa are delicious!
Really good service. Food was amazing, the taste was excellent! Presentation wise and flavor wise was AMAZING ! 100% would come back.
Excellent service and yummy food. Real authentic Mexican food. The tacos are served on blue tortillas, which I’ve never had anywhere else. The food is cooked to order. They even have vegetarian options. Go check it out. You won’t be disappointed!
Food was great, had the birria pizza and horchata and it was phenomenal food. Service was spectacular and was helped all around.
We went Sunday night, it was super busy. We got there right around six. We immediately sat and ordered quickly. The food was amazing. I tried a few varieties of tacos, including the Carne Asada. We had the birria fries to start those were good enough to bring us back again. What I will admit, though, was an issue with timing of food coming out of the kitchen. This is a very small restaurant, we had a party of four. The food coming to our table was very staggered. It will certainly not prevent us from going back, but it was a little awkward Even that does not prevent me from giving us a five star review. By the time we left, the entire restaurant was packed and they had a line out the door.
Cartel De Tacos is hands down one of the best taco spots I’ve been to. The food is always fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The meat is seasoned perfectly, the tortillas taste authentic, and every bite hits. You can tell they really care about quality.
We decided to come here for our 22nd wedding anniversary. We wanted something simple with good food. The ambiance waa amazing. The food was top notch and the service, wow! If you have a chance to stop by just do it. Ask for Lili, she was our server and wowed us from the moment we sat down.
You can definitely tell this are handmade and fresh done tortillas, you almost feel like you are in Mexico buying tacos from a taco stand own by a grandma. Soo delicious!! I will be coming back for 10 more 😅
First time eating at Cartel de tacos and My visit was March 7th 2026 and Let me tell you food here is amazing, If was for me, I will have the entire menu judging how good those tacos were, Chef was amazing and server was amazing people energy here is really good and inviting, Would definitely recommend this place and come back again!
Just tried Cartel de Tacos and wow… the food was amazing. The tacos were super authentic and packed with flavor. I had the tacos al pastor and they were absolutely delicious—seasoned perfectly and tasted just like real Mexican street tacos. Definitely coming back here again
getting food from here is an all time experience you’d absolutely love. i’ve ordered here for my own personal family & even for a work luncheon, where we received free taco coupons. excellent customer service & i’d wouldn’t hesitate in letting you eat here
Very authentic Mexican spot. You will enjoy delicious food here! Taco Tuesday 1 dollar less for each taco.
This place has officially become my favorite taco spot. I’m here at least once a week for their $2 tacos, and honestly, they’re some of the best I’ve ever had. The flavors are so authentic—the meat is always perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. Their horchata is another standout. The portion size is generous, and the flavor? So smooth, light, and creamy with just a hint of vanilla. It’s not overly sweet—just perfectly balanced and refreshing. Definitely one of the best I’ve had. The staff are amazing—super friendly, attentive, and they make you feel right at home. I always judge a place by the crowd, and seeing locals regularly dining here speaks volumes about the quality. One thing I love is the open kitchen. You can watch the chef in action, which is always cool, but what really impresses me is how clean and organized the space is. That’s a huge deal for me. The atmosphere here is so fun and inviting. The colorful tablecloths, Mexican memorabilia, and sombreros give it such a vibrant energy. And the music? It’s the kind that makes you want to get up and dance—it just adds to the whole vibe. If you’re thinking about Taco Tuesday, plan ahead and get here early. With only about 12 tables, it gets busy fast. But honestly, the food and the vibe make it 100% worth it. S/O to Jackie for the great service! @ShallonzTable
The reastraunt is small, but very clean and festive. The service and food were excellent. I went on taco Tuesday and the tacos were$1 off ($2.45) i believe. They have very good authentic tacos, and I will be going back to try more of their delicious dishes. I didn't have the margaritas this time, but they looked good also.
The customer service was amazing food is always freshly made was not a long wait for a seat or for the food
Im from Boston and was on the search for some authentic mexican food/tacos and found this amazing gem! I got two chorizo tacos , two al pastor and one asada and an agua de Fresa !! They were so all so delicious! The woman at the register was so kind and attentive! Will be back every time I come down to visit!!!
Nice and very friendly Mexican restaurant. Delicious and freshly made tacos. Good prices. We tried Papas Fritas con Birria,Tacos de Suadero, Carnitas, Campechano, Asada and Pastor. Worth it.
Cartel De Tacos is a fantastic new addition to Coral Springs! Located at 7671 West Sample (the former home of Toscana Pizza), this taqueria is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors. The menu may be limited right now, but the tacos they're serving are absolutely delicious. I had the carnitas, al pastor, and their standout quesabirria. The blue corn tortillas, which are brought in from Miami, take these tacos to the next level. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the giant servings of agua frescas are refreshing and complement the food perfectly. They've also got Taco Tuesday with $2 tacos--an absolute steal! The restaurant has a fun, casual vibe with colorful tablecloths and friendly staff. While the servers are Colombian and super nice, you might need to brush up on your Spanish. That being said, the owners speak perfect English and are more than happy to chat with you. The restaurant still has a pizza oven from its former tenant, but they're working on removing it to create more space. If you're in the mood for drinks, they've got beer and wine-based margaritas, which is a great bonus. Paired with the tacos, it's an excellent way to unwind. Cartel de Tacos is going to be a real gem in Coral Springs, and I can't wait to see what else they add to the menu as they expand. Highly recommend checking them out, especially on Taco Tuesday for those amazing $2 tacos!

The taco Tuesday deals here are so good!!! Joanna welcomed us and answered all our questions regarding the taco menu. My boyfriend has been here before and said we HAD to come back- and they will ABSOLUTELY be seeing us again ❤️

It was our first time going to the restaurant, food was excellent and the service was outstanding, Wilmer was our server and he was the most gracious and friendly waiter we could ask for. We for sure will be going back.

I went to Cartel De Tacos for the first time today and I’m honestly blown away. These are hands down the best tacos I’ve had in Florida — by far. The prices are immaculate. I spent less than $15 and got four tacos and a water. You really can’t beat that, especially for the quality. The shop itself is small and authentic, which I love. It gives that real, traditional taco spot vibe. You can taste the authenticity in every bite — you can even tell they make their own tortillas. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. On top of that, the staff is super nice and welcoming. Great food and great service is always a win. Everything was amazing and I highly recommend this place. If you’re in Florida and love real, authentic tacos — you need to try Cartel De Tacos. 🌮🔥
The service was great the restaurant is super cute! The staff were friendly and smiled. One of the things that really makes me happy and want to write a review is that there weren’t a lot of “fat” chunks in my carne asada taco I hate when I end up with so much fat that I have to pick that out and then my taco is bare straight cilantro and onion with 2 pieces of real carne only; so that sets this place apart for one. Also the guac and chips (blue tortilla chips) were so fresh and tasty like when I make it at home. The corn was perfect honestly for my first experience here they make me want to come back!!

Great asada tacos The prices have raised like everything else due to inflation. I like the tacos are 2.99 in person it’s 3.50. Nevertheless, I’d come back The rice was different, not what I expected. Still worth a try.
7/1- Update : Went with a group of friends for taco Tuesday deals. Soooo good! We asked the super nice waitress to surprise us with a different selection of tacos and it didn't disappoint! We also had the street corn and for dessert the churros. Everything was fantastic and authentic to the spurt of the chef!. Just a great place to relax calm down and have a great time. A++ 4/25- Very clean! Service was super friendly and helpful. Came for the tacos but wow the tortas stole the show. I tried three tacos, ribs, pastor and lengua. All three were on blue corn tortillas and tasty but not blow you away flavor. I think since presentation and a high level of (healthy for you) thought was put into the design it made the tacos lack that overwhelming greasy flavorful juices you want in a tacos. However the tortas solved that issue! I tried the ham and a breaded chicken. Both were on a well buttered grilled roll full of meats and cheese and toppings. Hot and just yummy! A huge winner for something so simple. The selection of sauces was great to from a smoky bbq to spicy mole and salsa. Prices very good! I will return to try more on the menu and i would put the restaurant in top 3 for Mexican in coralsprings.

I was very disappointed with my overall experience. Prior to my visit, I was extremely excited. I'm originally from SF, California where I've eaten authentic Mexican foods my entire childhood. I expressed how since relocating that I've yet to find a good restaurant and how I was visiting for the first time. I was met with a very dull and unwelcoming vibe. No introduction or acknowledgment to my conversation. I ordered 4 tacos. Two chicken/two steak. Regardless of the interaction, I was disappointed with my meal completely. No flavor, very dry. I was very unimpressed. Usually, I'm willing to give a second try but in this case I pass. I truly hope everyone else experience is better than mines
The carne asada taco was good , meat a little dry I don’t think it’s cooked to order more like reheated . I still give it a 7/10 , my review is 1 star because I also ordered a al pastor taco that was burnt to a black crisp , it was inedible , tasted bad and hurt my teeth . I use to be a chef and when you burn something or mess something up you toss it out and remake it , at 3.65 cents a taco it’s really unacceptable and not cool to still serve me that especially with how hard it is to make a dollar in this day and age . Thinking i won’t notice and giving me a gross experience just to make a dollar is one way to lose a customer forever.
Beautiful place but food is terrible. Tacos tasted like they were grilled with car oil.....old and rancid. May come back for drinks not for food.

Came there with my child and purchased some tacos. I wanted to taste them so badly because after reading the reviews many people (with the exception of a few) said the food tasted delicious. Well, we ordered the takeout, when we got home, sat down to eat, the chicken tacos were dry. The chicken tasted as of it was hanging out for a while before someone placed them in my to go order. On top of that, this is supposed to be an authentic Mexican restaurant, the food was bland. I came from NYC and I've ordered Mexican street tacos a gazillion times and it was always delicious, flavorful, just the right amount of spices and FRESH!! I would really like to try again and hopefully it tastes better. By the way, the restaurant was empty when I arrived there, maybe that's a sign?
