Avis sur Ruby's Diner Corona Del Mar
The restaurant was very clean. The service was great and our hot dog was delicious. We always Love coming to Ruby’s because it’s so much fun. The atmosphere is fun. And I love the music they play.
Very delicious, mmm yummy for my tummy :3
We are just visiting the area and so it was our first time stumbling upon Ruby's and we were absolutely in love! It was the cutest place, the food was good and the staff was so friendly and attentive! I was very impressed how clean and in pristine condition everything was! Not sure how long this location has been here but the chrome was sparkling, the white walls were spotless, the neon was bright and the aesthetics were amazing. We love anything retro and nostalgic feeling especially fun diners and this one was just perfect! It really gave the feeling of going back in time!
Jose is the best server! The food was amazing and the uniforms take me back to the old days! My partner and i love Ruby’s and will definitely be returning soon ☺️😘
The food was amazing! The burgers are huge and looked even better than the photos on the menu. The staff is super friendly. Our food came out quick and it was fresh and hot. The chicken tenders are so good! Hand breaded and delicious. I'm sad I didn't save room for dessert because the shakes look amazing! I love the old time diner feel! Will definitely be back next time we are in town.
Ruby's never gets old! On a perfect December day between storms, my family and I decided to get some Ruby's to-go and go sit on the bluffs overlooking big Corona. We ordered burgers, tenders, and salads, with some milkshakes and onion rings. The staff gave us drinks while we sat and waited and made small talk which was fun. We watched people come and go and then it was our turn to head out. Seated on the bluffs, we enjoyed our lunch and the views of San Clemente and Catalina Islands. Perfect!
We stopped here while visiting the area. Our group of 8 was sat outside since inside had a longer wait - beautiful weather! The staff was incredibly friendly & had a great sense of humor. The especially took care of the kids. The manager even came out to visit with us & shared the history of the diner. The food was excellent - especially the shakes! Would DEFINITELY go back to sample more of the menu!
I used to go to rubys all the time as a little kid and I came back for a nostalgic moment during a birthday trip with my partner. I wanted to show him where I spent a lot of my summers which included rubys! We were there 9/30. I told him all about the car menus, gumball machine, and the moving trains/cars in the sky. We were served by Gerardo who was so welcoming and made me feel as if I was a child again. He went above and beyond for us. He gave us the car menus and turned on the trains so I could experience it all. I truly appreciate him for making my memories come rushing back and made such a special moment even more special! Thank you Gerardo!!
I decided to take my beautiful lady to this Ruby’s for breakfast for her birthday after our early morning walk on the beach. Wow! Everything was awesome from the moment we walked in the door! But the greatest part of our visit was our waiter, Alfredo! This guy deserves a raise! We live over 30 minutes away, but we will definitely be returning soon because of this man! Decor was great, food was great, music was great, but Alfredo was absolutely amazing!!!!
Our server this day was Alfredo; he was fantastic! He was right on top of our drink refills (we are very thirsty people, particularly for their Cherry Coke!), checked on us frequently (even though the place was rockin') and did it all with a smile on his face. He even slipped in a few jokes along the way. He made our experience excellent and I'm excited for my next trip in the area so I can return.
Ruby’s Diner is always such a fun and cozy spot to enjoy a meal. The atmosphere feels welcoming, the service is friendly, and the food is delicious every time. From classic burgers and fries to milkshakes that taste like pure nostalgia, everything is made with care and comes out just right. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel happy and comfortable, whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or a relaxed meal with friends and family.
There was nothing like ending the day with dinner at Ruby’s Diner in Corona del Mar, right on Pacific Coast Highway. The red booths, the jukebox, the salty breeze drifting in from the ocean—it all felt like stepping back in time. We’d grab a window seat, watching the cars roll by and the sun slowly dip into the Pacific. Dinner was always a comfort ritual: crispy golden fries, perfectly seasoned onion rings, and those ridiculously addictive fried green beans—served hot and ready to share. The Cobb salad was our attempt at balance (kind of), right before diving into thick, juicy burgers piled high with everything we loved. And the drinks? Always Cherry Cokes and root beers, ice cold, served in those tall, retro glasses that made everything taste better. We’d laugh, talk about anything and everything, and linger longer than we should’ve, never wanting the night to end. Ruby’s wasn’t just a diner—it was our little slice of classic Americana by the coast. Those nights were simple, warm, and unforgettable. If you know, you know.
Ruby’s Diner is a fantastic spot for a delicious meal! The food was excellent, with fresh ingredients and great flavors. The milkshakes were absolutely incredible—thick, creamy, and full of flavor. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff making the experience even better. Whether you’re in the mood for a juicy burger or a classic diner experience, Ruby’s Diner is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!
Specifically this location the pc hwy spot during my week visiting the area. I probably went three or four times because it was that good. I liked it better than another place down the road . We were commenting to the table, how friendly legitimate the service was and the food came out proper and delicious. Very happy breakfast and lunch for me here. Unfortunately, on my way out of town, I stopped at the airport location. It was downright awful. The food was not exactly the same. The service was terrible. They seat you at filthy tables. You asked for it to be clean and they never happened. they’re stacking people like sardines on top of each other by the bar and then other sections is large and open. For some attitude reason I couldn’t sit there at one of the dining room tables like the other people I’m glad I did not stop at the airport location first or I would’ve never been to the other Ruby’s that I loved. in all fairness all airport. Food is crappy, but the rubies at the airport does not represent the brand not even close. The potatoes were like scraps. Black specs in cups. I did not drink the soda water. I was so ready to get out of there. I can’t wait to go back to my regular ruby when I’m back in town.
Hadn’t been to a Ruby’s in over a decade; happily it hasn’t changed! Love the 1950s diner vibe. Everyone was cheery on our Saturday lunch visit and although bustling, we were sat immediately. Alfredo was fantastic with a great personality and humor for days. Loved that I could have lunch while my friend had breakfast. Their Ruby (patty) Melt and onion rings is comfort food at its best. The French toast platter and bacon was also a huge hit. We left stuffed. Two full meals with wine for me and it was only $40 - what a deal! On PCH but happily they’ve got a dedicated free parking lot so it’s super convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
9/28/2023 Had a wonderful breakfast this morning at Ruby's Diner in Corona Del Mar. Omar was my server, and he was fantastic and so attentive and kind. I had the ABC omelet with sliced tomatoes and cottage cheese, which was perfect and quite tasty. Service is very good and the food is fresh, tasty and well presented. I enjoy this Ruby's location as it's always clean and cozy. Recommended Previous visit Stopped by Ruby's for breakfast after a doctor's appointment this week. The location is perfect, and there is plenty of parking across the street. I ordered an omelet with potatoes and sour dough toast, and it was delivered hot and tasty. The service was very good, and my coffee cup never ran dry. Peaceful and serene place for a nice meal. Recommended
Oh my gosh this place is the place to get a good burger and milk shake. The atmosphere brings you back to the 50's from the waiters uniforms to the inside of the restaurant. Service was excellent and quick not to mention the cleanliness of the restaurant. Ruby's Diner most definitely deserves all 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Mint Chocolate Chip Shake, Root Beer Shake, Chili cheese fries, seafood combo, albacore melt, patty melt, Cheeseburger. Great service, atmosphere, and food. Thank you.
This charming diner exudes a nostalgic atmosphere with its quaint decor. The staff are delightful and welcoming. We enjoyed a straightforward breakfast from their menu. While not extraordinary, the food is satisfying, and the ambiance makes it a pleasant spot to start the day.
Prices have gone way up. They no longer offer free refillable fries and they also got rid of the regular iced tea. There were kids running around screaming....I'd expect that at chuckee cheese but not Ruby's. We came here for a nice relaxing meal but all we got was stress. Cooks blasting n Mexican music...yippa yippa....can you at least play 50's diner music...after all that's the theme of Ruby's. Good grief. I think our Ruby's days are over....not coming back to this children's circus.
