The food was absolutely delicious, with rich flavors and authentic Middle Eastern spices. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Every dish was fresh and beautifully presented. I’ll definitely be coming back!

If you’re looking for some authentic Lebanese food, you have to check this place out. BEI serve some really good food. My best friend is Lebanese and this compares to his mom’s cooking. The service was excellent, and the ambience was so nice. It’s an enclosed patio made of glass. I really love the hummus here and the lamb chops were a 10 out of 10. I would definitely be back soon. Next time I will try a couple different dishes, but I’m sure they are all great.

BEI has done an AMAZING job with their venue, food, and overall atmosphere. You truly feel transported to Lebanon and the food is as authentic as I’ve found in Orange County. Absolutely delicious. Kudos to the team and the chef.

Can’t say enough good things about this place!!! The best and most authentic Lebanese food I’ve had in SoCal. Upon walking in we were greeted with smiles and seated in this beautiful space with authentic Lebanese art. The owner and Eryck came by and gave us suggestions of what to order and explained each dish to us. All their suggestions turned out to be AMAZING! Food was super flavorful, top quality, and the portions were more than plenty. I will definitely be coming by more often to have this delicious healthy food. Super close to South Coast Plaza which makes it perfect for a place to dine after a long day of shopping!

Great Lebanese place in Costa Mesa. Really nice food, like it as much as the restaurants in Little Arabia. Definitely recommend the Muhammara, Pickle Platter, Stuffed Grape Leaves, and Rakakat. Thank you for the great service and delicious food!

I’m a regular at their other restaurants next door at EZ Kebab in Costa Mesa but this, cute little hidden gem!!! I was blown away by the experience and food! They brings authentic Lebanese cuisine straight to Orange County, serving up some of the best kebabs, shawarma, falafel, and more that I've ever had. From the moment I walked up to their quaint yet inviting location, I was greeted with friendly service that made the entire dining experience unforgettable. The kebab plate and steak shawarma wrap were standout dishes for me, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, especially when paired with their delicious garlic yogurt sauce. It's clear this team are passionate about delivering high-quality, traditional Lebanese food. Always will be back!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at BEI Restaurant, this evening. The food was amazing! We started off with hummus, pita bread & drinks. Hale, recommended the lamb, chicken & ribeye platter. It was cooked to perfection & more than enough for 2 people. It came with rice, salad, garlic labneh, & mint yogurt. Oscar, recommended the baklava mixed with vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was so good!!! We sat on the patio, which is nicely decorated and the restroom was spotless. We will definitely be back & the next time we’ll bring our daughters. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Amazing Lebanese food. Perfectly spiced, reminded me of eating back home! The playlist was absolute fire, the best Arab songs (and definitely not too loud like some of these other reviews are saying). Was overall very impressed by the food and the very cute atmosphere. Also our server Thomas was so kind and made sure we were well taken care of and that we really enjoyed our food. I took his recommendation for the mixed shawarma and loved it! Will definitely be back!

My family and I had a great time at Bei. Our server, Tommy, was very attentive and had great recommendations. We ordered the mezza sampler, samak bizri, and the mashawi platter. Everything was SO tasty and most importantly, fresh. They also had a belly dancer as entertainment while we there. I will definitely be back!

We had an incredible dinner today at Bei restaurant. It’s very hard to find good Lebanese food in Orange County and this place finally does it right. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavor and presented perfectly. The ambiance was a perfect vibe. Light music and has an indoor/outdoor feel at the same time. Lastly, to top of off the service was superb. Everyone was super courteous and our food came out and was served promptly. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Highly Recommend this restaurant for a Private Event! I recently booked this restaurant for a private event for 45 people and it was an outstanding experience. I met with the owner Roland and he provided me with excellent and personal service throughout the process. He is a great person to work with when planning a private event for up to 50 people. This restaurant space is intimate, modern, and welcoming for a private party. The food was excellent and the space allows for different setups for private parties. The food came out tasty and on time and we got several compliments from our guests about the food, the restaurant, the decor, etc. Roland and his team have different menu options for private parties. And the food was halal, which is something I was looking for! If you need to book a work event, charity event, birthday, wedding, etc. for a up to 50 people, I would definitely recommend this place!

Okay, if you’re looking for a spot with a gorgeous ambiance and amazing food, you have to check out Bei!! Truly feels like you’re stepping right into Lebanon because everything is so authentic. Highly recommend the cold mezze dishes like fresh hummus and baba ghanoush that are just SO GOOD and fresh, and then the hot plates like kibbeh and sambusik that are perfect for sharing (great portion sizes here). For entrees: the grilled meats. They do kofta, lamb chops, ribeye, chicken… every single bite is packed with flavor/perfectly cooked!! That kofta though!! But back to the ambiance: you sit inside a glass-enclosed patio that’s super cool and gives off this chic, cozy vibe. Perfect for date night or with friends or just anytime you want to feel a little fancy without breaking the bank. Cannot WAIT to come back to Bei!!!

We had a delicious family dinner with generous portions. The 3 of us ordered the $75 plate to share, baba ganoush and hummus. With a 20% tip and tax, the bill came to $135. There was enough to take home and have leftovers for a week. It was cold and rainy outside and we sat underneath a nice gas heater. The owners have decorated it as best as they could, considering that the restaurant is essentially a parking lot with trellis-like dividers as walls. That's the reason I gave it 4/5 for atmosphere.

Excellent service but even more excellent food. Lebanese food and music in the background mid week and our waitress Hale said they have a DJ on Fridays and belly dancing on Saturdays. We came late Tuesday evening and it was pretty slow as the fast food service on the other side of the restaurant seemed to get the majority of the business. We sat in the restaurant side called Bei and it was surprisingly absent road noise and my sister really appreciated the lighting. Good atmosphere but the food and service will be the most impressive thing about the meal. Will return again soon.

This is a new favorite. I can’t think of what could have been better! The vibe was cozy and hip and warm even though it was raining outside, the music on the speakers was great, the drinks were strong and well made, the service was top notch (shout out to Ben) and of course the food! The food was amazing! I got the chicken shawarma plate and it came with large portions of six delicious flavorful and addictive dishes including my new favorite chicken of all time. I can’t wait to go again 🤤

We were a large group and ordered both the hot and cold appetizer samplers which all delicious, definitely give the babaganoush a try. Went to BEI for dinner. It’s in a nice location and has some parking spots in front of the restaurant and there is street parking as well. The restaurant looks good from the outside and is very nice from the inside. It wasn’t very crowded when we got there and we were promptly seated. Service was generally good and efficient. They brought out fried pita and Zataar dip (in olive oil) and that was nice. We ordered our food and it came out reasonably quickly. The food looked very nice and the plating and presentation was great. However, I felt the taste was just ok. Again, it wasn’t bad and I can see how many people will find it excellent, but I felt that I’ve had better middle eastern food, even in the OC (maybe not in Newport Beach). And thats why I’ve only given it 3 stars. I will certainly go again, and I would encourage others to give it a try.

Came in to check out a new spot. Not realizing it's literally attached to their other establishment EZ Kabob & just as tiny of space. Awful parking situation, their parking lot MAY fit 8 cars or so. So be ready to take a walk from wherever you found parking. I get what they're trying to do in offering a sit down spot that allows them to serve their food from same little kitchen & make way more income. Service was good, just appeared under staffed for a busy weekend night. We got there after 7pm. Had to track down waiter every time we needed to order or ask for a drink. Meal was fine. We ordered dessert a cheese & pastry type thing "Knafe" $12. It was literally microwaved, the cheese was bubbled, spread out & stuck on the plate while the cake part was intact. We've had this dessert before--not here but I am certain this is not how it is supposed to look...a melted quesadilla. Service was fine. Food & wine list is overpriced for this type of set-up tent venue. We spent almost $200 incl. tip. Crowded small seating area, no ambiance, smoky, and loud. It reminded us of dining during covid in a make shift outdoor dining tent. Maybe that's how they can allow smoking. Not sure. I wish them well but this was our honest experience. Maybe try their other spot the Kabob faat food place next door. I'm sure the food is exactly the same, except just pick-up & eat at home or in their outdoor little area.

i ordered the beef shawarma, the meat was very dry and over spiced, didn't taste fresh. the toom was 👍 the seating area is casual. the shrimp kebab was good. price on the higher end. i would like to make a statement towards the owners incorrect reply. we were a group of 6 People, and none of us were drunk or rude. we never made any scene and were not rude to anyone.

I visited Bei Restaurant after being drawn in by its positive reviews and appealing photographs, but unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. The chicken kebab I ordered was overcooked, resulting in a burnt exterior and an unpleasantly bitter flavor. Additionally, the rice served as a side was overly watery and lacked seasoning, further detracting from the meal. While the restaurant's ambiance was touted in the photos, the reality was less impressive. The combination of loud music and the noise from Harbor Blvd. traffic made for a less-than-ideal dining environment. I also found the prices to be quite high considering the setting, which felt more like dining in a decorated parking lot than a thoughtfully designed restaurant. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Bei Restaurant.

Nazih Chamtie

I’ll make this short. When my wife and I heard about this place, we were very excited and had high hopes, especially when we heard the chef was from Lebanon. To be fair, I’ll speak to what we had. The tabbouleh was coarse, bulghur stands out harsh. Kebbeh was the worst, I couldn’t even taste it as I couldn’t even take a bite, super rubbery, Hummus had a weird aftertaste, chicken kebab was just fine, lamb chops wasn’t, tiny pieces and barely had any meat, wasn’t as good as expected. Overall, certainly nothing like Lebanon, not even close. I wish that the owner would take this in a positive way, unlike the receptionist who got offended when we nicely shared our feedback with him, instead of at least saying ‘we’re sorry you didn’t like the food and will try to do better’ his answer was ‘everything you didn’t like is our best seller and people have different taste’. This was the absolute worst experience I’ve had. I paid the bill $173 before giving my feedback so they don’t think I was trying to avoid anything but I guess some people can’t take any constructive criticism. I wish them the best and hope they turn this place around as it’s certainly needed in this area. I would visit again, but only when I know for sure that the food is way better than it is today. Best of luck!

T
Twinkle Panda

Didn’t like the taste of the food much and atmosphere was too loud for me. Waiter forgot what our order was and got mixed (beef + chicken) shawarma plate instead. Upon mentioning it to him, he went inside the kitchen and removed beef from the same plate and replaced it with chicken (I am assuming that because the turnaround time was under 1 min for the replace when the original order took several minutes to come).

This restaurant scammed me and charged me an extra $55. When I spoke to the restaurant owner, he spoke to me in a rude and unprofessional manner.

I was charged an extra service fee that didn’t apply to my party, and when I mentioned it to the waiter he seemed to already know about it. He told me he would fix it and he took my card, but when he gave me the receipt I saw that he still charged me for the service fee. I told him about this and I got the manager involved as well and it took a long time for them to remove this extra fee from the check. After the issue was resolved the manager pressed me for a tip, and when I refused, he followed me to my car while cursing at me and my family. I don’t recommend this place because of how terrible the service was.

**Review of Bei Kebab: A Disgraceful Dining Experience** I have never felt so disrespected at a restaurant in my life. My recent visit to Bei Kebab was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The ordeal began with our appetizers, which took an eternity to arrive. After an agonizing wait, the server casually informed us that they were ready. Instead of bringing them out, he vanished for about ten minutes to review our order. When he finally returned, he had the audacity to ask for corrections! Seriously, how about serving us the appetizers first before wasting our time? It was infuriating and completely unacceptable. When the appetizers finally graced our table, we were handed an additional plate as some sort of consolation for the delay. The server smugly declared that it was a gesture to make up for our wait. So, like any reasonable person would do, we began to eat what was served to us. Imagine our shock when the manager returned a mere ten minutes later, scolding us for eating the extra plate, which, according to him, wasn’t actually meant for us! Are you kidding me? In what world are diners expected not to eat food that is placed in front of them? We were explicitly told it was ours, yet somehow we were made to feel guilty for enjoying a meal we believed was given to us out of goodwill. It’s absurd! The experience only worsened when the bill arrived. We were slapped with an automatic 18% gratuity for a party of six, even though only five of us actually ate. When I pointed this out, the manager had the gall to argue with me, asking how they were supposed to know. Well, I don’t know, maybe because you took our order and saw that one person didn’t order a single thing? Instead, he insisted that this individual ordered a glass of water. Really? We’re being charged gratuity because someone had a water? The entire situation felt like a pathetic attempt to squeeze more money out of us. And when I expressed my concerns about the high prices, especially for such lackluster food, I was met with guilt trips about not wanting to tip appropriately. If I’m being charged nearly $30 for chicken and rice, I’m not exactly feeling generous! To add insult to injury, I was also charged $0.50 and $1.00 for hot sauce and tahini. While it may not seem like a lot, it’s the principle of the matter. If you’re running a restaurant, you should inform customers about such charges upfront. And let’s not forget the manager's continued insistence that we didn’t have to pay for the extra plate. Yes, because you served it to us and told us it was ours! The logic here is baffling. In the end, we left a tip despite the horrendous service, and to our utter disbelief, we were told, “You’re not welcome back.” What an insult! We were treated like children simply because we questioned your questionable practices and terrible food quality. The sambousas had zero flavor, and the overall dining experience was dismal. I can confidently say that I 100% DO NOT recommend Bei Kebab to anyone. If you value your money and your time, steer clear of this establishment. My experience certainly doesn’t seem to be an isolated incident, as evidenced by the other scathing reviews. Avoid at all costs!

Save your money and your time. Avoid BEI Restaurant. The staff was rude and unprofessional. Roland and Eric ruined our family Christmas celebration. The couple was dismissive and disrespectful throughout our visit. We waited over two hours for our food with no explanation, no update and no apology. Despite repeated attempts to get assistance, we were ignored. Eventually, we left without ever being served. No restaurant should treat its customers this way, especially on a holiday.
