My experience has been great! I mean dine-in and take-out are equally delicious! Few places have food that’s perfect for both adults and kids, with excellent beer and wine options, an artisan menu and a festive atmosphere. We will come here again and again as a family favorite! Definitely recommend it!
Never been to a pizza place that you can order alcohol to go. I think this is the new norm after COVID but this is still my first place going with this experience! I’m excited for the pink pizza box. It’s so cute and good to differentiate them with other pizza places. Highlights of the menu: 1. Mozzarella & basil pizza adding bacon, pineapple, mushrooms 🍕 🍄 2. Garlic ginger chicken wings 🍗 3. Pizza port beer I’ll definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends and family. I like the white chalked drawings on the black wall. It’s fun! Also, you’ll get a free pin when you leave review on Yelp or Google.
Friendly timely service. Kale salad was sooo tasty. Honey bear pizza with honey and bee pollen was well balanced with sausage and chili. Even the margherita pizza which u can get anywhere was exceptional. Cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce. They also gave my toddler clay to play with which was a surprising treat.
My wife and I went to Pitfire Pizza in Costa Mesa on Friday night. We started off with turkey meatballs in marinara sauce. They were excellent. The turkey was obviously fresh, the meatballs were seasoned well, and the sauce was sweet but not overbearing. I got the honey bear pizza, and my wife got the field mushroom pizza. With the honey bear pizza, you taste the honey and sausage first, and then you get a spicy delayed reaction with the Calabrian chiles. I like spice, so that made me quite happy. I have never had honey on a pizza before, but the sweet and spicy combination definitely worked. I understand why this pizza is one of their best sellers. I love mushrooms, and the field mushroom pizza is definitely a winner. I could taste mushrooms and cheese in every bite. No part of either pizza overpowered the other. The Orange County Register (local paper) recommended this restaurant, and we left quite satisfied. We look forward to a return visit.
Always a good time at Pitfire Pizza. The Costa Mesa location is great - they are thoughtful with everything they do, from the amazing food to the helpful service. Delicious fresh artisan pizza 🍕. Very friendly staff. We definitely felt welcomed and appreciated. Love'it! Highly recommended!!!
Amazing Pizza and Caesar Salad with Great service by Jon. Karina treated us to the cocktails post dinner in their Speakeasy! Such a pleasant surprise. 💕 Ordered the Martini Con Horchata
Excellent wood fired pizza. Almost New York style pizza. Happy Hour until 6pm with food and drink specials. Good Caesar salad. The Sausage Party pizza was great. Kid friendly ambience. Bring your own wine. $5 corkage fee.
Best restaurant in SoCal. We never miss a chance to eat at one when in town. Pizzas are the easy choice (and excellent) but everything on the menu is amazing. This location has a speakeasy bar hidden in the back, which was beautifully done
What we tried ⤵️⤵️ 🍕 The Burrata 🍕 Zoe’s Pepperoni 🥗 Steak Salad ————————————————————— 👋 howdy foodie fam! Happy National Pizza Day 🍕🍕. Wait is it? Maybe not but might as well. I’m introducing you to my latest favorite pizza. If you know me, you know I don’t always order pizza. Hence I tend to be picky with what I want on my pizza. 🍀 Lucky for me, Pitfire Artisan Pizza checked off all the boxes for me ☑️. They have a pizza with burrata 🧀, some types of veggies or greens like arugula 🍀, with thin & crispy crust. I just described their The Burrata Pizza 🍕. You must try it!! Other items are also delicious but this pizza totally got all of my attention. ✨ stay hungry & eat deliciously. Always!
Great Pizzas for sure and lot of vegetarian options to select from. The toppings were genuinely overwhelming !!! Their house made Cauliflower crust is a must try. It is not like other regular frozen hard base, it is really italian Style!!
Great pizza, came out fast. Went with their most popular and loved it. Even went back to get their chicken pesto, just as good. It’s a really cool spot and has a speakeasy in the back! Did not expect that. 10/10. I’ll definitely be back

2nd time here at this location. Last time the boneless garlic ginger wings and the honey bear pizza were delicious. The vibe here is up beat and with local sports. This time I got a vegetarian chopped salad with salami and pepperoni and a Cabernet. Service and food were great again! I Think I have a new spot to come hangout at! There’s a speak easy in the back too! Come see and try for yourselves!! You won’t regret it.

Our gluten free pizzas were burned, but they remade them. My partner said it was her favorite pizza, and she can’t wait to go back. For anyone who gets gluten free, you might want them to cook it a little less. Cody gave us great customer service.

The service here was extremely good. Everyone was very friendly and there was prompt service. We went there in the evening, so everything seemed dark. While there was plenty of seating when we got there, I could see there being an issue or a wait as soon as we were able to find a seat to eat. The pizza was pretty good. However, I did order one of their most popular pizzas and it came with ricotta, but there was an entire slice of pizza that didn’t have any ricotta on it, but when looking at different pictures of the pizza from other reviews, it looks like they just didn’t add as much on mine. I think they also take a lot of pride in their house made ranch which cost nearly 2 dollars for a little few ounces of it. Not to mention it tasted a lot like blue cheese without the chunks of blue cheese in it. I do not like blue cheese, so someone else might like this ranch dressing more than I did overall it was a decent experience.
Fantastic staff. The Pumpkin Smash pizza was what got me here. Unfortunately, it's only a seasonal item, and they had stopped carrying it a week or so before I got there. If it comes back, I'll try again. Staff was very helpful and accommodated me to find a pizza that would work for me. The kale salad was fantastic. The brussel sprouts are good, and the pizza was a tasty neopolitan style. Pretty solid all the way around, though a bit pricey.
This is a gluten free review. Ordered Zoe's Pepperoni on a gluten free crust and a side salad. Pizza had fantastic flavor. A little over cooked, which made most of the crust inedible. I was also confused why I received croutons on my salad. The menu didn't say it came with croutons and I ordered a gluten free pizza. Nevertheless, the salad complimented the pizza well. If it wasn't for the service, I would give this place 3 stars. The guy who took my order was super nice and threw in a free cookie for my wife. If I'm in the area, I'll be back.
Visited this pizza place for the first time. Ordered the Honey Berr Pizza, which was good but missed more ricotta cheese, in my opinion. ( but tasty for sure ). Also ordered Boneless Chicken Wings garlic ginger ( presentation and taste were wonderful), but a side of mayonnaise on dish, should be replaced for another side of sauce. Mayonnaise did not enhance the taste at all. ( room for recipe improvement). Overall, the service and atmosphere were outstanding.

Matt was so helpful, kind, and was running around the entire place taking care of business with a smile. He was exceptional in every way, even though he had his hands full. He definitely deserves praise for all of his efforts and if it weren't for Matt who single handedly took my order, brought my food out to me, and cleared every table, I would have rated my experience a lot lower. I do love their pizza but the dine in service was subpar, the outdoor patio looked like it had been through a rough night, and the expectation to have one person run the show is a bit extreme. I understand that hiring is tough at the moment but truly hope that this place gets their priorities straightened out.

Cute place, atmosphere and friendly staff. The pizza was tasty -at least the parts with toppings was -but it was more bread than topping. In fairness, we didn’t say anything so they may have done something if we had, but we didn’t have time to wait.
A few friends and I ordered 3 of their pizzas (Honey Bear, Field Mushroom, Margherita). The pie is cut into 6 decently sized slices. This was a delivery ordered which came at the estimated time so I can't speak much to the service or ambiance. The crust was thin crust and had a slightly doughyness on the crust. I'd rank the Field Mushroom as my first winner , then the Honey Bear (wish it had more meat), and Margherita (wasn't something I'd order again). The flavors are there and it was satisfying when ordering for a late night dinner on the beach. I'd come back to try a few other menu items. Happy Eating! "High on Food. High on Life." - thefoodhigh Follow for more food recs on social @thefoodhigh

Usually pretty good. This time I ordered delivery. The broccolini (almost $10) was totally burned and overcooked, saggy and sad. The underside of the pizza was caked in flour and I got a chalky mouthful with every bite. Their website has no way to email regarding an order (but DOES have an easy way to reach them about PR, convenient!)

I got my order cold. Ordered two pies and when I got there to pick them up the gentleman said it’s coming right out. Since I got there 5 minutes early I thought they weren’t done. I waited an extra 10 minutes before my food came out, I drove home and they were cold and hard. I live only 5 minutes away and when I Carrie the boxes I rushed to the car thinking they will get hot since I thought they were fresh out the pit but to my surprise they weren’t! I don’t like my food cold especially after tipping 20%. Bad experience:( in this location.
