Located at the corner of Citrus Ave and Rowland St (next to Yum Yum Donuts), this Starbucks is super convenient with plenty of parking, a drive-thru, and both indoor and outdoor seating. There is nothing like that early morning feeling of knowing I can swing through the drive-thru for my caffeine fix! My go-to is the 'Hot Blonde Roast', and when it’s served fresh here, it’s perfection. The drive-thru service is always fast and efficient, but the highlight is Rosy; she is consistently friendly and welcoming, she brightens my day at 5AM. Overall, a fantastic experience every time; I’ll definitely be back!
I was at this location with my daughter, and Robert served us. He was incredibly kind and polite. It's the first time a Starbucks employee has been so friendly and helpful. Thank you, Robert!
The drive thru staff was friendly and very professional this morning. There was no wait. And Ruth the Barista at the windows made my morning with her amazing hospitality and kindness.
People tell me they love my energy but Lis and the crew make the mornings shine before the sun rises. You will find no better Starbs

It is a typical Starbucks establishment! This one is located near Shoppes Lane in Covina! I would visit this establishment, during my lunch breaks, when I worked during the tax season of 2024, in the area. The baristas were helpful and attentive. The place, in itself, was quite neat, too. Nevertheless, during my lunch breaks, it was hard to find an available chair or table, to sit down, and enjoy a coffee drink with lunch meal. Still, it did not pose a problem, since I would usually order my drinks and food for take out. At the same time, the lines were long, and it would take between 10-20 minutes to get my order ready. So, I would recommend a visit in the evening, when there is less foot traffic inside the establishment. If someone needs to visit during lunch break, expect to wait in line for 10 - 15 minutes, and then extra 10 to 20 minutes to get the order ready.
A very welcoming Starbucks an Exemplary store to other Starbuck locations. My drink was made with special attention..........And .Even though they're busy its stays with a great positive vibe. Store manager was super cool.
Fast, Friendly, Fun! Crew is so much fun and very welcoming. Nice place to get some things done while drinking your drink in the air conditioner. Clean areas to sit. The staff helped me with summer cup sales I purchased 3 tumblers and coffee. It's not every day you get the best outstanding service at a Starbucks. Thanks for the Gen X music as well. It is a typical Starbucks establishment, located near Shoppers Lane in Covina. I would visit this establishment during my lunch breaks, in 2024, when I used to work in the area. I would come here, to purchase coffee, and sometimes sandwiches. Of course, I would not stay long in this place, since I would order most of my items for take out. Still, it is a neat Starbucks establishment. The lines, of course, would take some time, just to get my order right. Nevertheless, I would come here during lunch break, so it is understandable. In the evenings, though, the lines were more efficient. At the same time, during lunch period, there were no places to sit down. Concurrently, in the evenings, there was ample of space to sit down, and enjoy a meal or coffee. So, if anyone needs some coffee, I would recommend to visit this establishment, in the morning, or in the evening, when there are fewer people. Still, if someone urgently needs coffee during noon time, I would only recommend to visit, if they have 10 to 15 minutes to spare in wait time.
I will be honest. This Starbucks is pretty great. I ordered free water and free WiFi and I was here for 6 hours. Here is my review. The customer service staff was pretty amazing. Since I was 💯 free loading on this hott August 1st. The staff here was able to create a good atmosphere. They don't seem all to happy but they definitely treated me right. Everytime I made eye contact with anyone here I was met with a smile. Even though I was free loading today I was treated right. This location definitely gets busy but the staff seemed to be able to handle the waves pretty good Parking is limited but thanks to the staff they knock it out. So if your looking for parking just wait a few minutes and someone will move. The seating situation inside is not to huge but the outside is really big and there are plenty of chairs and canopies that you can move. BIG bonus is that they don't have key pads on there restroom doors. The down side is they need to keep up with the bathrooms better. Overall Cleanliness was pretty good. Floors and chairs and outside are were kept up and I saw some regulars getting the special treatment. Which I think is great of the employees. Nice job Covina Starbucks.
Use the drive thru and it was not fun. It was really crowded and to many cars in a small parking lot trying to get into the drive-thru. The only saving grace was the staff at the speaker and the windows were great.
Everyone is friendly here and I have nothing bad to say about the service or employees. One thing I hate about this place is the fact that there’s 2 ways in & out of the parking lot& people love to cut into the drive through from the opposite way knowing there’s a whole line coming from the other way. I feel like they should come off the other way somehow like the Starbucks on grand & cypress did so people cannot cut in line anymore.
First time ⏲️ 😌 ☺️ 🙂 visiting here. Lobby was closed at 10:26 pm. Ordered through Starbucks app. So drive 🚗 through order pick-up option was open and was available. Friendly environment and friendly drive through personal. I will recommend it to everyone to try and pick options available after 10: 00 pm every day 😀. I love Starbucks and visit regularly. The brand is always pretty consistent with service, but this particular Starbucks location ALWAYS takes so long when using the drive thru.
One of the worst Starbucks EVER. My drink is NEVER ready on time and I often have to have it remade due to mistakes. The staff here are quite unfriendly. If it wasn't the most convenient location to my house, I would never go here
Not there to kill the vibe or anything. I want to share that the music is TOO loud. People come here to relax and study, but when the crew is bumping their favorite beats at high volume, it makes it an unpleasant environment to do a bit or work or have a conversation with a friend. I did my best to sit away from all the store speakers but still, the music was too loud. Other than this, it is just another Starbucks store with a good crew
I have to complain about the order today. It was in a rush when I picked up my order so I didn’t notice that my white mocha was made as the regular mocha. Also, I requested for whipped cream with mocha drizzle was missing too. The friendly staff offered me a small cup of whipped cream instead due to the COVID-19 policy, which is understandable but kind of useless. And I’m not sure if the honey is in the drink or missing.
I was very disappointed with my visit to this Starbucks. I came in from out of town and was met with rudeness from the staff. My request for extra crème in my coffee was handled in an unpleasant and dismissive way, which made the entire interaction uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below the level of customer service I expect from Starbucks.
Some of your baristas need significant improvement in empathy and customer service. I consistently order the same drink, hot or iced. This morning I placed a mobile order for three espresso shots with sextra soy milk. When I picked up my order, I immediately noticed the extra soy milk I paid for was missing. When I politely asked the barista about it, her response was dismissive and condescending. She stated, “If you wanted the cup filled to the top, that would be a latte,” and continued to lecture me on drink definitions and store procedures. At no point did I ask for the cup to be filled to the top. I simply asked why the extra soy milk I ordered was not included. Instead of acknowledging the mistake or offering a solution, the barista escalated the situation and made it unnecessarily uncomfortable. In all my visits to this location, I have never experienced such an unpleasant interaction. Historically, baristas have been kind, professional, and solution-oriented. This interaction fell well below the level of service I expect and reflects a clear need for additional customer service training.
Probably the worst experience I have ever had at a Starbucks. On 11/30/2025 @ 730pm I visited the Starbucks on Citrus and Rowland. There was 1 car in the drive thru and no one else besides us. It took literally 5 minutes for someone to answer on the drive thru speaker. They took my order and then I drove up to the window and saw 3 employees inside with no customers in the dining area. I waited for literally another 5 minutes as I watched the employees moving around inside. In the end I decided to leave and disregarded my order. Been to this Starbucks before and never had this horrible of service.
