This is honestly one of the best tasting restaurants I’ve had in the Cincinnati area. It’s a small menu but they do it will and are very good at adapting to dietary restrictions. My wife got tofu subbed in the risotto dish that originally had fish and it was still amazing! I will be back to try a few more dishes because everything tasted healthy and refreshing. It’s an older building but they stay true to their roots of farm to table. Certainly would recommend for a date night!
My second time for the dinner tasting menu, and everything was just as excellent the second time. Impeccable service both times, and the tasting menu is well worth the price in my opinion. Absolutely perfect place to celebrate an anniversary!
Four Course Tasting Menu for $70! The perfect farm to table experience for a birthday. Everything was cooked to perfection with incredible flavors. A very memorable time.
Such an amazing experience. Bouquet has such a fantastic modern urban vide while keeping traditional architecture of old Covington. The food was all completely unique and balanced with a wide variety of offerings. The tapas style helped to sample a variety of fantastic options. The wine/drink pairings helped to build upon the dining experience. The staff was superb with top notch service and offered great suggestions upon our palate. Alexandra, our server was so attentive and kind the whole experience. We 100% recommend Bouquet!
Amazing vegan options and excellent service from our server Ashley! We will definitely be back soon.
The service was amazing The good was good We had a good time We had the vegetarian tasting and the normal tasting menu they both were exceptional
Amazing vegan meal! I asked for the chefs choice, it was DELICIOUS! The date cake is a must, I can’t wait to go back and try it again! It’s pricy for the size but worth it for the quality and flavors!
Easily *the best* meal I've had in Kentucky The ingredients are so fresh, the service is so attentive, and the food is so delicious, just agree to the 5 courses... I say this, because it was my intent to *just* get the gluten-free foccacia bread and a salad, and I ended up getting an entree AND a dessert on top of it, AND a dessert wine, AND did not regret it; however, it would have been less expensive had I listened to the server. Relax, eat slow, and enjoy every bite.
Celebrated an anniversary here and told our waiter it was our anniversary and he really did the sweetest thing for us! He gave us a speciality pineapple drink on the house for us to celebrate with our dessert. If you go here, get the tasting menu. I enjoyed all the plates I got and by the end of it you feel full. All the plates were super fresh and flavorful. I got the potatoes for my first, scallop pasta for my second, and a special cut medium rare steak for my entree. I finished it off with coconut cake that hit the spot!
The atmosphere matched the food. Not some loud sterile room with $$$ food. I could actually converse with the people at my table. The food was delicious we all tried something different and all were so good. The focaccia Bread with seasoned oil and cheese was the perfect appetizer. Our waitress was so pleasant and helpful. A wonderful experience on all levels
The food was so fresh and tasty and the service was great. They have a small menu which I love because it makes it easier to decide on a meal. They rotate it with the season so we will definitely return to try a new menu.
We had a wonderful dinner at bouquet with excellent service. Our waitress, Grace, was absolutely lovely and gave wonderful recommendations. All the food that was brought to the table was cooked perfectly and totally delicious. The menu is split up by courses. If you aren’t too hungry, you could easily get away with just course one and two or just an entrée from course three. It is a pricier place, but nothing felt overly inflated for the high-quality food that was served.
Wonderful value and my wife and I couldn’t believe how much it cost to get a tasting menu with wine paring. The dishes were very well executed and beautifully presented. The wine was quality and the service and atmosphere top notch. The tandoori salmon was a standout dish, although it was kind of an outlier in the tasting menu we had. The Jerusalem artichoke salad we had also was excellent. My favorite pairing was the pasta and wine pairing. The baseball steak was good and so was the duck. However, the main dishes had less of a wow factor than the other dishes. Very well executed but also fairly traditional. Desert was good and was paired with a port wine. We left feeling content and enjoyed every moment of it.
I came here for dinner one night and did the tasting option. They have a local farm to table menu that's pretty specialized and allergen friendly. The cocktail menu looked amazing and super interesting; I went with a spicy paloma, which was decent and actually quite spicy (I'm one of the weird folks who likes that). For food: the braised carrots were quite good, but the creme fraiche and those mushrooms were the stars of the plate for me. The tandoori salmon was my favorite plate of the night and something I'd gladly eat any day. Salmon was tender inside with a tasty crust and well-seasoned risotto. The duck entree had a lot of good things going on on the plate. I'd give the duck's cook a 7 out of 10. I love how they use smoke/char to add flavors, and the sweet potato mash was a unique punch of flavor that meshed perfectly with everything else on the plate. The carrot cake had unique twists with the pineapple compote and coconut crust beneath it; the nuts had some good spices, and the cake was not overwhelmingly sweet.. 8 out of 10 dessert. You'll definitely leave full! This is not one of those petite course tastings. The restaurant has a classic, at-home vibe, with a full bar, and great ambiance for a date night. Service was good, and I couldn't complain if I tried. I left Bouquet very pleased and more than willing to come back.
Absolutely wonderful experience! My husband and I have had the pleasure of visiting several Michelin Star restaurants, and this was right on par with all of them. Service was a 10/10. Our server Chandler was exceptional. He did a great job introducing us to the restaurant, explaining the wines, and being there but not being “too there”. Give this man a raise. My husband and I both did the tasting menu which I highly recommended. He got the salad with shaved pork, pasta, and ribeye. His fave was the scalloped pasta. I got a salad, carrots, and the chef’s vegan choice for course 3. My husband also got the wine tasting, just do it. And the desserts at the end. All for $65?! Feels criminal. This place is wonderful, 10/10 recommend. Great experience, great drinks, just wonderful. Bravo, Bouquet!
We stopped in for dinner to test the menu for our wedding plans. Staff is helpful on picking out options from a well built menu that is limited to what's in season. Atmosphere is relaxed and you feel like you're able to have an actual conversation. All the dishes were good but the duck could have been a little more crispy IMO. If an espresso could be added after dinner that would be awesome. Overall it was a great experience and we can't wait to come back.
Wonderful experience! Got the tasting menu and my only regret wasn't I couldn't try every single dish on the menu. Staff was so friendly and warm. The environment was cozy and clean. And the food was incredible. Not to mention impressively reasonable prices for the quality. Highly recommend.
After two successful and amazing dinners here, going to give them props. The food and service are top notch. Recommend doing the 3 course meal, which also includes dessert. I had the Braised Carrots, Halibut and the Steak. Spouse had the Tartine, Risotto, and Duck. For dessert I had the coconut cake. Devine. Our server was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Cocktails were good - especially the cucumber aviation, which I got TWICE. If you’re celebrating something special or going out for a date night - you will NOT regret this.
Came here last night for an early Valentine’s Day dinner and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in the area! The tasting menu is a great option and their portions don’t leave you hungry afterwards. The flavors were all amazing and I enjoyed every single plate we got. Highly recommend for anyone who’s looking for a cute date night spot or just good food in general. I’ll definitely be back as the menu uses fresh ingredients and changes seasonally.
I went there for my graduation dinner. Service was awesome. Farm to table, ever course was amazingly delicious and of course very fresh. So many flavors 🤤 try their 4-course tasting menu Must haves are their coconut pie and scallop pasta.
Food was faultless, absolute delish. I love that they let you share their tasting menu, we ordered 3 tasting menus for a group of 6 and it was perfect and it allowed us to try almost everything on their menu. Also they do a really good old fashioned!
No reservations on a Wednesday night. They were able to seat us, a table of 5, but it looked like we lucked out and got the last available table. We were exploring the area on a business trip and were so happy we stopped in. Troy was great, a friendly and knowledgeable server. The food was fantastic! We started with the pickle board which exceeded expectations and set the table for the remainder of the night. The pickled watermelon was a table favorite, personal favs included the beets, carrots, gochujang cucs, and fennel. I especially liked the crisp texture of the beets. We also had the tomato cucumber salad which could not have been any fresher. It was a great example of farm to table featuring the fresh produce and their inherent vibrant flavors. For the main course, my coworker and I shared 2 entrees, the duck and steak dishes. Both dishes were beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. The kimchi green onions on the steak dish provided brightness and balanced a perfect medium rare steak with good char on the outside. The duck was the better dish of the two in my opinion, the duck was cooked beautifully medium rare highlighting a slightly gamey but rich and buttery seared breast . I especially enjoyed the parsnip puree. But the veg on both dishes were prepared perfectly. I would highly recommend and expect to revisit Bouquet the next time I visit Cincinnati.
The restaurant sources their food as much locally as possible and the care they put into their dishes show. All our dishes were delicious, from presentation to taste. I would definitely recommend it for a special occasion. They get booked up so make reservations.
The staff here is incredible! Most recently had a fantastic wine-paired tasting menu served by Chandler and Jasmine. Cheers to the Chef as each course was perfectly executed. Tandoori salmon and risotto were the crowd favorites. Dessert never disappoints. Wine pairings and cocktails were amazing as always. Management here always makes sure we’re well cared for. If you’re not at Bouquet, you’re missing out.
Tasting menu was an excellent choice. They bring 4 courses out with leisure time between each course. If you’re looking for a slow dinner pace with a wide pallet of flavors and delicious dishes, then this is the place for you. We got a board and shared a tasting menu and had plenty to eat. Wait staff was also phenomenal at explaining everything and making us feel comfortable
Stopped in for Valentines day with my girlfriend. I can honestly say this was the best meal I've ever had in my life (sorry mom). Atmosphere was perfect. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and the chef is a genius. We WILL be back. And yes that's applesauce on the carrot cake. It was incredible.
The food was fantastic for the price. Easily the best money for quality ratio of any restaurant in the area. [Note about photos: the food was so good we didn't manage to get any photos of the presentation before we dived in and missed the salmon entirely] Our server was super friendly and quickly changed up our wine pairings to best suit our tastes. She was attentive and asked for feedback at every step even though she was killing it. We had no notes other than to express how impressed we were. I was concerned upon presentation that the salmon dish was a bit contrived but the multiple elements worked together so well my partner and I were still talking about it on the way home. The use of mushrooms was a phenomenal perk for someone like me who is a big fan of foraging my own. Between the two of us we tried both the steak and duck mains and both of us agreed that it was some of the best food we'd had in recent memory. The chocolate croissant bread pudding was so good I thought my partner was going to cry (no joke, it's really that good). I don't usually have much of a sweet tooth but was blown away by the perfume of the strawberry sorbet as it hit my tongue. Definitely would recommend springing for the cava pairing there. Portion sizes are larger than any tasting menu I've had before. Timing of dishes (it's a scratch-made kitchen) was exactly on point. We never felt rushed or ignored by the service. My only comment is that i would like to see the chef pull back a bit on the visual impact of the plating and just let the amazing ingredients shine. Update, Dec 2023: Still fantastic. The menu has changed as it often does and not a sigle dish was a miss. Even took a couple extra people along this time because you can only hype this food so much before you run out of nice things to say.
THIS IS A DOUBLE REVIEW!! For original review #1, see below! This restaurant was so good it needed a second review with more details than the first and photos! Bouquet has become our favorite restaurant in the entire region because of the fantastic food and wonderful team. We loved it so much that we decided to have our wedding there! We had a tiny and intimate wedding with just 10 guests in the upstairs room, with our ceremony under the beautiful arch in the doorway. Then we returned for a dinner reception in the same room. The food was so delicious! The chef cooks up fantastic creations that change seasonally and taste great with their beautiful cocktails. For our wedding, we had delicious short rib, duck a couple other entrée options and sides. The creative cocktails are also delicious, bourbon is their specialty. Even better than the food was working with the Bouquet team. Paige was great to work with and made everything so easy. She helped us plan the event, accommodated all our requests and was someone we always enjoyed seeing. On the day of the wedding, the team took such great care of us and our family. Thanks Bouquet for some amazing memories! And some amazing photos! Original Review #1: The staff were really really friendly. The food was really really special and excellent. The ambience was really really nice. The venue was really really perfect for a nice dinner that didn't break the bank. They have a private room that can be booked too for those who want to have a small private dinner also!
This restaurant offers the best American food in Covington. The food has elevated flavors that made our party want to lick the plate. The pork was savory with smokey undertones, and the beef was understated enough to let the local farm-to-table ingredients speak. I cannot recommend this place enough to take your family and friends. It gets 5 borks of approval.
Absolutely loved this place! Food and our server (Jamie perhaps?) were absolutely impeccable. We started with a few fresh oysters and the soup of the day, Cauliflower, which both were beyond delicious. I showed our server a photo of a picture that was on Google and she said they didn’t have that dish any longer, however several minutes later she came back to the table to tell us she checked with the chef who said he would recreate the dish for me. Beyond level service! The restaurant is very quaint and homey, but upscale. Dishes are eloquently showcased. Extensive wine, bourbon and cocktail list. Reasonably priced (we ordered oysters, soup and two dishes and was ~$75). Street parking or garage next door for $6. Definitely will be back!!
Hannah was a gem tonight. Very sweet and energetic. The whole staff was cool. Colleen says the food was both nuisanced and delicious.
I cannot speak more highly about this restaurant. I have wanted to go forever and finally made it with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. We did the food tasting menu with the wine pairing and it was AMAZING. The service was fantastic. The staff was friendly. If you get a chance to try the duck for the Third Course, I would highly recommend it. (See the picture) I definitely plan on going back in the future!
Overall great experience. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable; took time to explain items and what she even liked. I arrived in a bad mood unrelated to the establishment and told my wife I was going to Popeyes for a spicy chicken and the menu looked gross. My mood quickly changed and I loved the short rib that I had. I also tried a bite of the burger and thought it was really good. Deserts were also fantastic and I finished every last bit of mine after proclaiming I didn’t need desert when first asked. Service was efficient but not rushed and I would go again.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary last night and had a great experience. We opted for the tasting menu, and loved getting to try so many dishes! Standouts included the focaccia, warm farro salad, bourbon glazed salmon risotto (my favorite!!), and wagu meatballs. As a non drinker, I loved how they had several mocktail options (pineapple sour was incredible). Dessert was delicious and they brought us complimentary champagne for our anniversary, mine being non-alcoholic which was so thoughtful. Great experience, definitely would return!
Went here with a friend to grab some drinks, the bartender Autumn was so amazing and friendly! I got a rosemary twist cocktail and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
The food was so good that even our awkward server didn't bother me too much. The tasting menu is a good value but none of the salads were particularly special. I would go back just for the pineapple rum cocktail I had-the idea to have cocktails where the alcohol is optional is brilliant
I’m vegan and every dish I’ve had here is the best food I’ve ever eaten. I am grateful for their vegan options! My friend got the regular tasting menu and said the same about her meal - divine. The service is spectacular, and the ambiance is perfect. I cannot recommend this place enough!
No joke.. this place is amazing! Every moment of my dining experience was incredible. The Duck is AMAZING!! Also - amazing shout out to Autumn who walked me through my first time here. She was knowledgeable and personable. Just great service and effort to connect! Thank you for a great way to celebrate New Years Eve! I'll be back!
This was quite the dining experience. From the first bite, everything was a flavor explosion. Some flavors were greatly appreciated and others appealed to different palates, nonetheless it was excellent and entertaining to try as much as possible. Great place for a close group willi g to share some bites amongst each other. Superb date night spot with Menue Course selections and additional wine pairings if needed. Pricey buy worth it ! Great atmosphere and superb servers just not a traditional dining experience so know what you're getting into but I highly recommend the culinary journey. Enjoy !
My fiancé and I went here the night that we got engaged. It was an absolutely amazing experience. The food and service was fantastic. Really just an amazing dinner. My fiancé is vegan and they completely catered to her needs. Spectacular!
Cozy restaurant with very good mixed cocktails. The dishes are farm to table so everything was very fresh. Our meals were pretty good but for the prices I honestly expected a little more (thus the 3 stars for the food). The Almond Basque was excellent and the peanut butter bar was pretty good.
Came for our anniversary. Great concept, great atmosphere and amazing service! First 2 courses were great, but main course was a little on the salty side and wife's steak a little tough(ordered the 4 course tasting menu). But dessert was pretty good. Overall very good place and would return for another season when menu changes
Good charcuterie, tasty drinks. Entrees are very filling for the price. Park in garage next to resturant . Great service
Our server was very nice and accommodating and the food was fantastic but the pace of service was painfully slow and we ended up having to get half of our meal to go because we had been there for 3 hours already
Went here for our anniversary and had a nice time, nice but not amazing. There were some high points: pickle platter, roast chicken, risotto, and at the top the desserts (very good!). The lows: overcooked fish, generally over salted and lacking interesting flavor, and a wine pairing that left much to be desired. Overall worth checking out but I’d recommend picking a few items vs. doing the tasting menu, opt for a cocktail rather than wine, and don’t skip out on dessert!
Overall pretty neat restaurant! The menu is very limited - 3-4 options per course with 3 courses in total. Would appreciate bigger selection for this place. It’s not “fancy” enough to offer that limited menu And the atmosphere was not the best - a bit old/dated, not in a “antique-cool” way. Very simple interior Meatballs were flavorful And their duck is really good How they decided to bring out a ginger beer, after we ordered a ginger ale, because it is “ginger ale was not available, and this is the closest to it” will remain a mystery to me
Thoroughly enjoyed our time at this farm to table restaurant. The setting is a beautiful 1800s house that expanded its 2nd floor during COVID. We were seated on the second floor and enjoyed the tasting menu. The menu rotates and we enjoyed the beet salad, salmon and flourless chocolate cake the best. We also ordered the duck and steak. While we liked the steak, my wife was 50-50 on the duck. Having said that, she did say it was the best duck she has had. Overall a solid 4.5 if that was an option. Great drink options with an extensive wine list. One tip- the parking garage next door is a SCAM. We thought we would pay $7 after we left but came back to a $75 ticket in our windshield. Total SCAM. It really put a damper on an otherwise nice evening. Covington should do better.
Bouquet is very good. Cheese board was very well down and all pickled veggies made in house. Out of the 3 "firsts" - the salad was ok but nothing too special. The meatballs and potato dish are both 5-star and extremely well done! Out of the seconds, both the mushroom dish and scallop pasta were too rich for me, but the table liked them a lot. The sundae desert was good but the croissant took the win.
This was our second time eating at Bouquet. We had a pleasant experience— great service and a nice atmosphere. The food (steak, crab cakes), however, was good but lacked flavor for the price.
Food was tasty. I've been before so I decided to take my twin brother with me this time to celebrate our birthday. When I reserved the table I was also able to say what the occasion was for and I even put that it was for a birthday. When we got there, the host said happy birthday and that was nice. Throughout the dinner we noticed that there were others celebrating with other tables telling the celebrated person "Happy Birthday" and the staff bringing out a little cake with a candle. In no way is it a given that you should get something free for any reason, but I just felt very disappointed that after the almost two hours we were there enjoying our meal and drinks and see no less than three other tables getting celebrated by the staff that the same didn't happen for us. Besides the host that sat us the only mention we go was from another table celebrating a birthday as well next to us telling us happy birthday and us saying the same to them. Decent night out, food was good but that kinda soured the experience just a little for me.
