This place is pure magic. If you’re dreaming of the kind of sunset that makes you slow down, breathe deep, and just be La Monina is exactly where you want to be. We were lucky enough to catch a gorgeous Cozumel sunset here, and the hut style beach aesthetic is everything you imagine when picturing a relaxed island evening. Rustic, charming, and perfectly placed right by the water, it feels effortless and authentic not overdone, just beautiful. We kept it simple and ordered two Cokes and some French fries, and honestly, the fries were so yummy crispy, hot, and perfect to snack on while soaking in the moment. Sometimes it’s not about an elaborate meal, but about where you are and who you’re with. We sat there chatting, completely unhurried, watching the cruise ships slowly sail away as the sky transformed with the most incredible sunset colors. It was one of those moments that feels magical and sweet at the same time. The servers were genuinely kind and welcoming, which added so much to the experience. You feel relaxed and cared for, never rushed. Around us, people were snorkeling and paddle boarding until the light faded, which made the whole scene feel alive and connected to nature. To top it off, we even watched pelicans swooping down into the water to catch fish such a cool and unforgettable sight. La Monina isn’t just a place to grab a drink or a bite it’s a moment, an experience, and a memory waiting to happen. Whether you’re stopping by for sunset, a casual snack, or just to enjoy the views and vibes, I highly recommend coming here. It’s one of those spots that reminds you why Cozumel is so special.
I sat downstairs literally right on the water. The location can’t be beat. I had a couple margaritas and the shrimp ceviche. It was a good portion and it taste very fresh!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ La Monina in Cozumel is pure magic! We came for lunch with a view of the Caribbean and left completely in love with this place. Everything we ordered was spectacular: the calamari perfectly fried and tender, mixed ceviche that was bright, fresh, and bursting with flavor, and the mahi mahi with citrus sauce that was hands-down one of the best fish dishes we’ve ever had in Mexico. Every bite was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. What elevated the entire experience was our amazing waiter, Nemo. He welcomed us with the biggest smile, guided us through the menu with spot-on recommendations, and took fantastic care of us from start to finish. His warmth, humor, and genuine passion for hospitality made us feel like family. La Monina + Nemo = an unforgettable meal in Cozumel. We’re already counting down the days until we’re back! 🇲🇽✨
I wish we knew of the food but only stopped for a beer on the way to our dinne plans. The vibes here were amazing, ocean front, deck to water, a few guests there were in their swimsuits in the ocean. So chill. Great place to catch a sunset on a warm day. We stumbled upon this gem and it had all the elements to a greay memory.
Just north of the beaten path and great for sunset views and delicious food. They have a large selection of seafood dishes and many other items to choose from. Try the crunchy cheese and delicious sangria. 😋 The service was excellent and they were patient with our in progress Spanish. 🇲🇽 They are also dog friendly which is a bonus as we often go to out with our furry friends.

From the moment I stepped into La Monina, the warm ambiance and attentive staff set the tone for an exceptional visit. My server Ever was attentive and friendly the food never disappoints. The shrimp ceviche, shrimp tacos drinks are amazing. This is my go to every year visiting Cozumel ! Amazing view great vibe !
Emmanuel was amazing, he went to the store to get rice for me to dip my phones and I feel down and my phone ended up in the water, he also gave me Ice for my swollen arm, the food was great breaded fish and French fries and the drink was amazing. Definitely will be back on my next visit
Walked here from our cruise and stopped for a drink. Really lovely place and although we didn't eat, we did stay for more than one drink as it was just such a relaxing vibe. Discoverd it has a beach bar underneath with small beach, loungers and access to the sea of you wanted a swim/snorkel stop with in walking distance of the ferry/Punta Langosta cruise terminal. A good 20 walk but worth it as it wasn't busy or full of tourist and reasonably priced.
Absolutely delicious. Mayan Chicken tacos were some of the best I've ever had and the nachos were delicious. The drinks were so good as well! And they were very accommodating with my allergies. Nemo was very kind and helpful. We will definitely be back when visiting Cozumel.
Loved this place so much we had to come back a second time during our trip to the island. The food was amazing, the view is absolutely unbeatable, and the service was super friendly. One of the coolest parts is that you get free access to the ocean right from the restaurant. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a meal, have a drink, and take a dip all in one place. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Place was recommended by a taxi driver. Located right on the water, you can swim/snorkel. Food was OK for the high price. We ordered the grilled mahi, mixed ceviche and come back to life tacos
This was overall a fine place for dinner. The views are by far the best part of the experience. Unfortunately when it comes to the food it fell a bit short. There are just more flavorful options nearby with better standout dishes. I also found their food to be quite bean heavy (see nachos below). Overall, it’s a good stop if you are looking for ocean views. Outside of that, there’s other better options when it comes to quality food.
Just ask for the ceviche mixto!! Its soooo good! We order burger and tacos and it was a disappointment, very dry🥲 Great service tho, they are friendly and respectful! Nice view and ambience 😍 love it!!
