Avis sur Osteria Palio dell'oca Cremona
I'm sitting here right now. Very well-kept restaurant with attentive, friendly service. The food is definitely high-quality, and the prices are more than in line with that. Just a note, almost a joke, but think about it... The kitchen bell ringing to alert you that dishes are ready to be served is as much a buzzer as the hospital's CUP number. It would be better to think of something else.
Nice quiet place with delicious food and friendly staff.
We ate at this restaurant purely by chance while sightseeing in Cremona. The service was excellent, the staff friendly and attentive, and the food was fabulous. We had tortelli with ricotta and nougat, mixed boiled meats, and tortellini with potatoes and cotechino. The tortelli with ricotta and nougat were simply superb; this combination was a bold discovery for me. The mixed boiled meats were fantastic, also delicious with the sauces offered nearby. Tortelli with potatoes and cotechino were also perfect. The service was quick and attentive, and the portions were just right. We left the table full and satisfied. If you're in the area, don't hesitate to stop by; you won't regret it. Thank you.
We came to Cremona from Milan and had lunch at the Osteria to sample traditional Cremonese dishes. I wanted to try Cremonese tortellini, also known as marubini, but I opted for ricotta and nougat tortelli, and I didn't regret it! Excellent for two. The appetizer was Cremonese salami and fried pizza, and the pork cheek was also good.
Loved food, wine and dessert!!!
Nicola, the waiter, was fantastic! Very attentive and very informative with the menu and local information. The place is clean, the food delicious, the the service impeccable. You can't ask for more.
Fantastic
Servizio veloce e gentile, location elegante ristrutturata di recente, ottima cucina del territorio!
The restaurant has a front dining room near the bar and a very spacious interior. It doesn't have a terrace. The interior decor is very elegant, with the violin playing a prominent role. The menu we found was special because it was Cremona's nougat festival. We tried the marubini al brodo and the tortelli with ricotta, nougat, and hazelnut pieces. We especially enjoyed the marubini.
Food is very delicious but menu is very limited.
After years, I returned to this osteria, where you can savor some of the typical dishes of the Crema tradition, with a group of friends. The interior is well-maintained, and upon entering, you're struck by the impeccable way the tables are set. The service is fast, and the waiters are always attentive, despite the large influx of customers. I recommend ordering the "Gran tagliere," a platter of torta fritta and local cured meats, and the "bollito," accompanied by an excellent salsa verde and mustard. The bill per person is more than reasonable.
Cena a base di tortelli di zucca con taleggio e polvere di amaretti, gnocchi di castagna con porcini, tiramisù al torrone. Impiattatura curata . Ottima la lista dei vini. Gentilezza e calore.
A restaurant in the center of Cremona. The ravioli were good but dry with very little sauce. The pork with polenta was good. The dessert was certainly not filled with custard as advertised. The service was average. The floor below could use a little more attention. The napkin had two or three holes and was not properly starched. It certainly wasn't good value for money. I'm not sure I'd recommend it.
The food quality was good, with pleasant, if not exceptional, dishes. However, the service left much to be desired: too many tables for the number of waiters, who always seemed rushed. This led to long waits and a bit of disorganization. If you're not in a hurry, it might be a good choice, but improving the organization would make the experience much more enjoyable.
Lunch for two on a weekday in late December. We sat down at 1:00 PM and finished at 2:40 PM. Unfortunately, service was very slow, perhaps due to a lack of staff. Excellent food. Pumpkin tortelli and tagliolini with culatello. The charcuterie board and the sweet, fruity Cremonese mostarda were also noteworthy!
Dopo aver provato a prenotare un tavolo per dieci persone per il giorno stesso a parecchi locali del centro, questo è stato l'unico che aveva ancora qualche posto. Locale con due sale a disposizione,…
Overrated in my opinion. There were six of us. The bread basket they brought us was for two... and it was later refilled upon our request. We ordered the chestnut gnocchi with mushrooms, which were accompanied by an excessively thin sauce. The flavor was good, but it was a shame about the "broth." The tortelli with nougat were good, while the pumpkin ones seemed freshly boiled and served. The guinea fowl dish consisted of a slice of "meatloaf," which was mostly dry. The portions were really small, so poor value for money. We spent about 20 euros each (without wine), but I wouldn't go back.
I can't say I had a bad meal, but nothing my wife and I ordered was truly memorable. Flavorless tortellini in broth and tortelli with ricotta and nougat, where the sweetness was too dominant. Pork drowned in polenta and potatoes fried in stale oil, and the wine on tap seemed diluted with water. Final bill: €66 with cover charge and coffee. The place looks small from the outside, but inside there are two rooms. The staff is friendly but inattentive. There are definitely much better options for the same price.
