When traveling, looking for a decent and reasonable place to dine in is always a challenge. I decided on the neighborhood Denny's and ordered a Bourbon Chicken Skillet with a Mango Smoothie to refresh myself. I was pleasantly surprised with both and would recommend them to a hungry traveler.

We had fried mozzarella sticks (very good) and two senior specials. I had chicken fried steak with gravy, mashed potatoes and corn, hubs had the scrambled eggs with cheese with 2 bacon , 2 link sausage and 2 pancakes. My dinner was pretty good and the hub's dinner was just ok. The link sausage was dry and tasteless and the bacon was very chewy. For us, it wasn't worth the $40 price tag, but service was good and the place was clean.

This place is so cute! It is a vintage dinner style. I have never seen a Denny’s like this before. Aaron was amazing and let us sit and dine in even though we arrived right at 11pm which is the cut off for dine in/take out only switch over. Jessica was our server and did a good job. Aaron wound up helping us as Jessica was busy with other closing duties both were extremely courteous and friendly. The food was good. It arrived quickly and was cooked correctly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Denny’s food and good service.

This place was overall the typical Dennys experience customer service was nice and food was good. I recommend the new edition strawberry pancake it was quiet good. My only issue was there was a whole cloud of flies near our seating which definitely didn’t help when eating.

The staff were friendly but the wait was ridiculously long. If you have young kids that are hungry, just don’t bring them here. The wait is so long! Still 40 minutes after we ordered and no food yet. Left the house today, took my dog to the beach and then we went up to Denny's Walked in after attaching my dog outside. Was told that I cannot leave my dog unattended. So I went out and got my dog, and the same lady said you can't bring your dog in here. All the while you had customers leaving their dogs in their cars unattended. Ah, Denny’s in Crescent City, where the allure of a gluten-free menu is fake. If you’re looking for a culinary adventure that leaves you questioning the very definition of “gluten-free,” you’ve found the right place. Let’s start with the so-called gluten-free options. Spoiler alert: they’re about as gluten-free as a loaf of bread. Thankfully, the waitress, who must have won the honesty award for the day, reluctantly informed me that the potatoes in my dish were anything but gluten-friendly. So thoughtful of her to share that little nugget of wisdom before I could dig in! I guess honesty really is the best policy, especially when it comes to avoiding stomach chaos. In a moment that should have been filled with hope, she inquired if she could swap those treacherous potatoes for grilled hash browns. Cue the dramatic pause. The owner’s response? A resounding no. Bravo! Nothing says “we care” quite like stubbornly sticking to a recipe that clearly lacks any regard for dietary restrictions. Forced to settle for a salad—because apparently that was the only thing on the menu that wouldn’t send me running for the hills—I sat there watching others enjoy their meals, wondering why I chose this establishment in the first place. If you’re gluten-intolerant, save yourself the disappointment and skip Denny’s. It’s a surprise-free zone when it comes to gluten-free dining, and not the pleasant kind. So, unless you enjoy playing Russian roulette with your health, I suggest seeking out a restaurant that actually understands what gluten-free means. Trust me, your stomach will thank you.

This Dennys does NOT follow gluten free guidelines. If you are ordering gluten free here, you are being poisoned by these people. The wait staff are thankfully honest enough to tell you upfront that the owners do not care if the menu misleads customers. Failure to follow ALLERGY guidelines is LIFE THREATENING. The owners of this establishment don’t care if they make people sick or KILL people with their dishonesty. The menu says they have tons of gluten free options. They have one, salad. If you care about transparency and safety, DO NOT EAT HERE.

I used to love Denny's and whenever I visit other areas they're typically good. This is the worst Denny's location! It is probably independently owned and that probably gives the ability for them to change the menu and also not honor certain deals. Last time we had tried this location was YEARS ago and it was bad then but my daughter wanted to go so we decided to give it a try again. The hostess who seated us was extremely nice and was probably the most pleasant part of our whole experience here (she's the only reason I rated service 3 stars). We ordered and it wasn't that horrible of a wait considering the time (noon/lunch time) and flies buzzing around the table, but when our appetizer came out there was a frozen cold French fry that came with it ( it even got seasoned lol) and after the waitress told the cook about it he said "guess it's another one of those Denny's mysteries". Hm. First and only location I've heard that as an excuse and I'm curious to know what other mysteries happen in that kitchen. The mozzarella sticks were semi cold in the middle also and it kinda made the whole appetizer very unappetizing. They don't have French fries available for kids meals and the hash browns she had to get were extremely greasy. The bread on the sandwich I ordered was very greasy as well and in the end it definitely wasn't good or worth the price they charge. Especially with other (way better) options nearby. Will not be returning ever and a quick heads up/word of caution: they nickle and dime you for everything and don't honor online promotions.

We were stayin in a motel in Crescent city, Ca 3 blocks away from Denny's. While walking there it started raining. We arrived at 7:08 with the doors locked. The sign on the door said open at 7. As we went to leave someone who worked there opened the door. Asked him what time they opened and he said he didn't know! Instead of letting us in he locked the door and left us standing in the rain. After a few more minutes we noticed a waitress who came and unlocked the door letting us in My son loudly said good morning. Ignoring us she turned around and walked in. At this point my son yelled out and said let's go! The waitress said good morning. I'm sorry I'm tired! Without prices on menu we ordered our meal. We got the stuffed french toast and one hot chocolate. One coffee one order of chicken fried steak side order of bisquits and gravy and another side of 2 eggs.The total of this was $60. How can this be? That was our shocking experience!
