Avis sur Little Caesars Cuauhtémoc
This was the perfect spot for some good Tex-Mex and great drinks! I got chicken tacos and then a wonderful wildflower mezcal - everything was delicious!!! And the queso was INCREDIBLE. I’ll be thinking about it for a while. Also highly recommend their margarita with a Tajin rim. And the vibe is so cute. Will definitely be coming back!
I’m nine months pregnant and came in to ask to use the bathroom and they graciously let me. Then I saw the menu, and saw that they have vegan queso and cashew crema so I stayed for lunch. (I’m allergic to milk so I was excited to try it) It was seriously so delicious. I got the chicken mole- and my whole pregnancy I have not wanted to eat chicken, but it was unbelievably delicious. Grateful I found this place and I can’t wait to come back!
Great taco selection for brunch with the tortillas being the start of the show. I thought the cocktails were even better and made fresh with a bunch of variety. Recommend making a reservation just to keep things easy but was pretty casual during a Saturday afternoon. One regret was not trying the doughnuts 🍩
A must go spot. The food was outstanding! Tacos, donuts (only on the weekends), drinks, oh my! Tacos were big and full of flavor, the donuts were huge but incredibly light - caught me by total surprise. The frozen drinks were great, lots of choices there as well. Going back again as soon as I get the chance!
What an extraordinary find! Easiest 5 star review in a while. Gotta go on the weekends because thats the only time they make the donuts - which look big but theyre SO light. It will shock you. Frozen margarita was solid. Tacos were bigger and super solid. Closes between 3 and 5 so get your order in before 3 and your fine. Plenty of seating inside but outside is clearly the move
Came here with friends who are locals because this is one of their favorite spots. The restaurant itself is small and very well decorated to fit the tex-mex theme. We thought service was okay - we ordered chips and queso, 2-3 tacos per person, and later some corn bread. It felt like we watched tables who ordered after us all get their chips first while ours came out slow with no spacing between the appetizer and tacos. For the food, the flavor of the beer queso was very good. I tried the bean and cheese taco and chicken verde taco which were equally 4/5. The star of the show was the tortillas which were excellent. We also had the cornbread which was a very good balance of sweet and salty between the caramelized walnuts and salty butter. My wife had the barbacoa taco and papas tacos which were both only okay taste wise . They do really loaf up all the tacos with a large amount of filling which is nice. We were a bit confused when asked about allergens - we mentioned that my wife has a peanut allergy to the server and their response was if it is okay for there to be potential cross contamination where peanuts could get into the dish on a shared prep space, which is not our general familiarity with cross contamination risk, this would just be containing peanuts. We were confused how to answer and they did tell the kitchen about the allergy for us but my wife was eating nervously the whole time waiting to see if she would have a reaction or not. More confidence in the answer from the server would have helped. I’d come back for the quesadillas and corn bread. The bathroom is clean, make sure to respect the pillsburry dough man tribute 🙃! (see photos)
If you’re looking for flavorful and comforting Tex-Mex, then this is your place! The cornbread was a solid 11/10 because it was so moist and delicious with every bite. The flour tortillas are made in house and they paired deliciously with the fixings inside of the taco. I do have to say that the frozen margarita was incredible. They were strong but subtly sweet, and the flavor of the week (which is in rotation weekly) was guava! Nothing artificial about it at all!
Take a step back in time and enjoy a meal here. Listen, I wanted to love this Tex-mex place, but it was just good. I took my team here for a holiday lunch and everything was good (chips & salsa and beer queso to start and carne guisada with cheese combination for my entree). I was hoping for outstanding though. Overall the service was good, vibe good (takes you back to the 80’s) and food too.
Yellow Rose Est. 2020 Layout/atmosphere *Tex-Mex bar/restaurant; 11 seat marble bar (two Panasonic TVs and VHS tapes), four seat window counter and 14 tables all in one intimate room; Christmas lights, Tiffany light fixtures, funky artwork; open door/look into kitchen Service *Friendly bartender Food/drink *Beef Barbacoa tacos (slow simmered beef checks with cilantro, avocado & spring onions) - one per order; sauce on side (rising heat, hits the back of the throat); flour tortilla held up; tender meat/little messy from juices; liked the avocado & onion *Summer Skillet Cornbread (honey, butter, peach jam, Queso fresco) - took a little bit longer to make; really liked the cornbread itself (soft but crusted on the outside); the jam was too sweet for my taste *Shiner Bock on draft
Good spot, really tasty food. Prices are standard for east village. I think the staff is really nice, I just wish they had an explanation of what a Texas taco was on the menu and slightly better lighting/seating. It was hard to get out of my seat even to leave or use the restroom because the spaces between tables was so narrow.
This place is good! The savory kolaches are a must-try. They’re a bit spicy but the bread tastes exactly like a pretzel while still being super soft. The donuts are super light and airy. The chips and salsa are good but not worth 8 dollars- it should come free. The breakfast tacos are fine- nothing special about them but still yummy. The lemonade was a bit too sour for me. The atmosphere is lovely! I love all the lights and the general vibe of the place. Our waiter & everyone else we interacted with was super nice & incredibly helpful. A bit expensive but still worth a try. I will note, however, I went with my fiancé & family (who are from Texas) and they confirmed it’s similar but not authentic to true Tex-Mex.
Service is very good and I enjoyed the cocktails. The food is possibly a little expensive for the portions, the shrimp entree had three pieces of shrimp... And the tacos need add-ons that should probably already be included, but the quality of the ingredients is very good, the flour tortillas are definitely a step up and the vibe is good.
Had the queso, bean, potato, and tofu tacos and while all the food came out looking great, I think I just wasn’t a fan of the seasonings that they use here as I’m usually a big fan of Tex-Mex. Everything ended up leaving me with the same aftertaste. I think some more veg in the soft tacos probably would’ve helped with that, and helped highlight how tasty their homemade tortillas are.
I came here on a dry and cool Sunday night in late November for dinner at 730pm. I made the reservation a few days before based on the next available prime dinner time. Res era actions during peak dinner are not to easy to get given that it has a Michelin Bibb recommendation. I wouldn’t plan to come here without a reservation as walk-ins might give you a long wait for the bar at best. I am from Texas originally so I was really excited to sit down for dinner here. Good Tex Mex cuisine is hard to come by in Manhattan. I’ve had the breakfast tacos before which were fine. The restaurant has a cool texas dive restaurant. The menu is broad and features a lot of TexMex favorites. I enjoyed my cheese enchiladas but other items like the Arancini were not cooked well. The frozen margarita was good and they have a frozen margarita machine. While I enjoyed some aspects of this restaurant, there are other places like Cowgirl Hall of Fame I’d recommend before this restaurant. I wouldn’t seek out another meal at this restaurant, but I wouldn’t protest if someone else wanted to go.
I really wanted to like this place more than I did. The tacos were listed in a CNN travel article so I wanted to try them. I tried the beef barbacoa and chicken verde. They were just ok. The barbacoa was so juicy that the entire tortilla was soaking wet. I ended up eating both with my fork. The real winners were the smoked guacamole and tomatillo salad. Amazing staff and fun vibe overall.
Ridiculously overpriced for portions and minimal service. Queso and chips were both quite yummy but pricy, tacos were not flavorful and at $1 per salsa it feels like I'm being held hostage to get through the portions.
This was a very disappointment experience. I typically love Tex-mex and in such a prime location I had high hopes. The staff were friendly and polite but the food wasn’t the best. Not the worst just not delicious. I ordered the two vegetarian friendly tacos and 2 seconds after it was served, my plate was a pool of sauce, potatoes, and soggy tortillas. I also ordered the nachos and received 8 individual chips with a spoon full of beans and melted cheese, with bland guac and sour cream at the side. Maybe I am not as familiar with texmex as I initially thought because this was very disappointing.
