vanessa was the sweetest and most caring waitress and made sure we were well informed of discounts and deals #welovebjs
Dined here today for the first time in a while and it was just as good as i remembered, Amelia was our server and she was super funny and kind. We had the Barbecue chicken pizza and the ahi poke appetizer, both were amazing. I absolutely love their pizzas, they’re like super thick and fluffy and yummy. Great experience overall :)
Had a great experience here, wonderful food, atmosphere, and service. Our server Nathalie was perfect, helping us with questions and checking in frequently.
Thank you Amelia.!! Thank you for taking care of us :) A happy soul around always brightens the day.. and that's definitely Amelia, she made our day.! Don’t forget to stop by and ask for her! :D
Amelia J was so incredibly personable and a joy to have serve us. She made sure to check in on us and get us whatever we needed. Its not often you get a memorable and genuine experience in such a large restaurant, but if everyone was like her, I would happily return. The rest of the restaurant was bustling and everyone seemed in good spirits. The food was tasty, came out quickly, and there was plenty of options to choose from. Just make sure you leave room for dessert!
Bjs Cupertino has this new large sampler which I ordered with my girlfriends for Happy Hour, It has BBQ wings, 2 sauces, chips, artichoke dip, fried cheese sticks. But you really need more chips. We asked and they delivered. It was very delicious. We actually ordered another sampler.
HOLY PIZOOKIE! We came to BJs wanting to get some lunch but it turned out we didn’t have the budget for a full meal here but we stayed for the pizzokies and boy am I glad we did. We got the Pizookie trio which I highly recommend if you want to share with others. You get your own choice of 3 pizookies so you can try multiple pizookies and they are way smaller than the large ones and are quite affordable and tasty. We got the salted caramel, chocolate with Ghirardelli, and cookies and cream pizookies. They were all so good. The cookie in the skillet itself was cooked perfectly and were really soothing and sweet for me. The ice cream on top for all of them really helped counteract the warmth of the cookie and they proved to be the perfect pairing. The ambiance of BJs was quite nice with there being a bar plenty of TVs and space and nice music going on. The service was also impeccable we were taking a long time to figure out what we wanted to order but our server was so patient and attentive which we loved. OVERALL if the food fits in your budget try to come to BJs even if you can only get a pizookies!
Dinner was fabulous and service was excellent. The meal came quickly. The salad was fresh and crisp, and the soup was steaming hot and delicious. Our waiter Daniel F. was wonderful. He answered all our questions about the menu and made really great recommendations. We would definitely recommend BJs and we will be back.
This is an excellent spot to grab a meal! I had the *award winning* BJ's smokehouse burger, a Tito's American Mule, and their house root beer float. All of which were exceptional. The fries were the first that I've had in a long time that didn't need any ketchup. They were actually better without it! The burger was really good as is their homemade root beer and mule. I'd definitely recommend hitting this place up for a bite alone or with friends!
First time experiencing a BJs so I myself was excited! We came in around lunch time. Before you you it it was 2 hrs later and a 3 course meal later. Really enjoyed ourselves! Very relaxing atmosphere super great service. Very clean restaurant! Our Waiter Nicholas was AMAZING! He did such a great job! Very respectful and genuine. He was attentive and fast. He deserves a promotion! One of the best customer service I've encountered. Our food was great very big portions. Started with the Wisconsin cheese curds, and had the Mahi Mahi tacos, Jumbaliya, and the turmic califlower for entree. For dessert the Monkey Bread is a MUST! Very pleased. Highly recommend. Thanks again Nicholas
Our server Moe was great! We have had him a few times and his customer service is always 5 stars
We had a great time - the food was delicious and quick and Mo took care of us so well! Definitely recommend!
Great food quality. Great service. Love the new remodel they did.
Great experience here during game day. Seated quickly, with absoullutely excellent service from Victor. Highly recommend this location!
Alina was a great server, she was very attentive and very caring 10/10 service, Juan was also very great, great manager!!
Amelia gave the best service; very attentive to all our needs and went above and beyond to give us something extra! The manager Johnny was great too, he came to our table and made a discontinued sauce for us. Overall really great experience!
Raúl (our server) is fabulous!!! Service is outstanding! Had a great time. Atmosphere was fun and cool. Next - our food was prepared perfectly. Seriously - not a single mistake (and I am high maintenance). BJ’s is a great restaurant for an intimate party or large celebration. Come and join the fun :).
Was a very delicious and tasty meal. Would 10/10 recommend again. Victor was a great host.
Stopped in for an al fresco lunch. Great customer service, and the wait staff are always attentive. Had the steakhouse wedge salad and avocado egg rolls, which were good and fresh.
Tonight we had a wonderful dinner and dessert. Service was EXCELLENT & the Food was. Delicious.
I LOVE THIS BJS!! The staff is fun, the food is great, the remodel is beautiful. Thank you guys for always making my experience amazing!
The food was great. Romero was our server and he took good care of us and our requests. Will definitely be coming in regularly.
Mikey our server was just amazing ! What a fantastic service .. never been treated this good ! Loved his smile , attitude , enthusiasm and service . Asked to see if I can talk to the manager about him . Sky ( manager came over ) and I did tell her about his service . Wanted the owner to know as well that you all are lucky to have him . He deserves a raise and a praise 👍👍
Our waiter, Ramiro, gave us amazing service and made the overall experience much greater. The food was also fabulous, and the atmosphere was normal and nice to dine in.
Our server Agrya and the bartender Rocky provided excellent service. The food was perfect as well so the cooks also deserve praise.
Lot of options for vegetarians. They were flexible on making most items on the menu vegetarian like the crispy potato skin and pizzas, salads and pastas. They also have gluten-free options. The restaurant is big and spacious. We liked their desserts the most. The minis are good for one person. They have a separate entrance for a party hall which is quite big and they can either do buffet or a’la carte for big groups there.
Our waitress, Amelia J, was the best! Amelia had the greatest attitude and really connected with us during our visit there. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu and answered any questions we had regarding the menu with ease. She never stopped smiling and truly seemed like she enjoyed her job there. She made us feel welcome from the jump and made our experience that much better! Thank you Amelia for spreading such joy!
So many drink options to choose from! Long list of beers and a full page of mixed drinks. If you're with a group, I recommend getting a large pizza. The meat pizza was loaded with toppings and had a nice crunch. We also went with some sandwiches and fries which were all really good.
Our server Danny was great. Absolutely fantastic. He was hands down the best I’ve ever had as a server, and I’ve been coming here for years with my family. I’m so glad to have had his help in deciding my meal and talking with him getting to know him.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been to BJ’s - but stopped in for dinner and PIZOOKIES! It was happy hour, so not too crowded, but service was quick. Tried the seasonal potsticker appetizer - very good and liked the chili dipping sauce. Kids both got burgers and I got the seared ahi tuna salad. Food was great and our server, Shambhu was awesome!
Amelia was our server and she went cover and above to make us feel welcome!!!! It was my birthday and she made it so special!!!
Food & Beer was great again. But the server was fantastic! Simran (Simi) took care of us and raised our experience to a level that surpassed our expectations! It’s clear the management is taking great care of their staff and promoting an excellent environment for a great dining experience.
Our server Vanessa was absolutely amazing we’ve had her twice as our server and she does great! Get on making sure you get everything you need and at a good time. Highly recommended her section if you can.
My first time in a BJ (i thought it was ben & jerry and nico thought it was gonna be a BJ costco thingy??) and it was such a cute late night trip 😝😝 we got the strawberry pazooki, sugar cookie pazooki, chicken wings, and chicken soup. I only ate the pazookis so i cant speak on the other dishes (judge by the photos by yourself). The cookie was soooo perfectly doughy and crispy and the ice cream is like luxurious. I love late night hang out with friends they’re so beautiful and funny
Shout out to TIFFANIE for being the greatest waitress ever! Love the personality and service!!! She handle our table very well and very attentive towards us. Offered us many different selections and options for the drink menu and was very patient with us deciding what food we should select.
Stopped by for a quick bite after a long day at work. The food was great! The best part was the service Amelia provided. She was friendly, attentive and made us feel at home. We will be back!!!
Great customer service! We had such a nice dinner experience. Huge thanks to Mark for going out of his way to make sure our little one felt included — that really meant a lot to us. We’ll definitely be back!
We had an excellent server tonight. Tiffanie was very attentive refilling ice teas and offering extra sauces. We appreciate friendly and attentive servers like her.
The pizookies were sweet and amazing, but our waiter Vanessa was sweeter! She was so funny and nice. I highly recommend the oreo and chocolate chunk flavors. Would definitely encourage coming!
We drove 45 minutes to come to this BJ’s. Food of course is great as always. But I’m totally impressed with Amelia’s super friendly service. This girl is a gem! Management please promote her asap. She will bring a lot of value to your company. Thank you Amelia, we will definitely come back here again. 😍
Honestly, I just love this place. I keep coming back not just for the pizza (which is always solid), but for the people. The staff is consistently friendly every single time I walk in. Even on the rare occasion when there’s a small hiccup or things get busy, they always make up for it and treat me right. It’s rare to find service that actually cares like that. Highly recommend.
Okay, so we checked out BJ’s in Cupertino – 10690 North De Anza Boulevard. Honestly, the space is huge, really airy with these high ceilings. It felt a bit like a slightly fancier TGI Fridays. We got steaks and they were… a letdown. My husband’s was just okay, but mine was seriously tough, almost inedible. It’s a big place, mostly older folks were there for lunch, which was odd. The portion size wasn’t worth the price. Honestly, I’d rather just grab groceries and make a meal – it just didn't feel like good value. Plus, one guy just walked right in front of me, blocking my path, which was a bit strange!
Very warm ambience and apt for a catch up with friends. The food is tasty. I loved the long island iced tea cocktail. Our server was very friendly. We ordered two mojitos with lite ice. But to fill up the glass extra lemonade was added that made it too sour. But our server replaced it promptly with a new one that was really good and didn't charge for the items at all in the bill to make up for it. It was really a good experience for us that he addressed it promptly and professionally.
Stopped by BJ’s and tried the Smash Burger—really good. Shoutout to our super nice waiter Dawn for the great service!
Got a California chicken club sandwich and smokehouse burger with fries. Burger was a little burnt. Chicken looked boiled but tasted good. Fries were good, but you definitely need a convenient like ketchup and/or mayo. No free bread. Also got a cookies n cream pizookie and it was perfect, as long as you eat it quickly while it’s gooey, before the ice cream hardens it.
Really good food and service but the chef in the back mix up some orders and one of the mangers was not the best lol.
We came here to enjoy their happy hours (weekdays 3-7pm). You can get chips & dips for $3, beer and margarita for $5-6, and 5 kinds of appetizers, which are of fairly big portion size. And if that's not enough, you can also get their mini deep dish pizzas for 1/2 off. Though cheap, the food did not disappoint at all. The only thing is that the parking lot can get filled up very early.
I really wanna give them a 5 for the great variety in the menu, draft beers and the food itself. Everything tasted great. The beer was super fresh. Service was not up to the mark. We were not given water and also the order got messed up couple a times. Ambience was more than decent for a night out.
Nice place to hangout after work. Place gets very busy during happy hour and dinner hours. Parking is a pain during busy hours. There are lot of good selection of Beers and Appetizers. Some are great like their Stuffed Mushroom, some are OK. I like their flat bread pizzas as well. Place is great for office parties and watching sports as well. Highly recommend this place.
This is a great BJ's location. 10% discount for Apple employees, excluding specials, to be precise. Speaking of which, they have a spacious bar area with high tops and a communal table where you have to sit to get the happy hour deals. I would say the food options for happy hour aren't that delicious relative to most other items on the menu. But at least you get to try some things you normally would never be interested in ordering. In terms of drinks, I think their beers are the best. I went this week for pi day where they had personal pizzas for $3.14 as they do every year. However, this year you could pick one topping of your choice instead of it being cheese/pepperoni. And boy, do they have a great range of toppings, including anchovies AND sardines. We also did their ~$19 deal where you can get tri tip or half a rack of ribs with two sides and a pizzokies. Now I am not going to break down how much you save. But I will say that you can get a bowl of soup as a side; in fact you can get two bowls of soup as the 2 sides and the soups alone are $10+. So the cost of 2 sides potentially is already the price of the deals. Not to mention, the pizookies are $9. I tried the broccoli cheddar soup and they really filled the bowl to the brim. That was super rich and heavy. Then, I chose the turkey chili as my second side and I was full before even my entree came. I upgraded to the full rack of ribs and they were pretty tender and came with two onion rings which is a new thing. Our waiter was amazing although parts of our order were wrong. One of the machines for ringing up the order was right behind and judging by the loud conversation of the servers literally in my ears, I surmised we could have gotten a lot crankier servers who were pretty over it. One of the awful things about this place is that they are so bad with reservations. I called and the person who answered said they only take rezzies for 8. I told him you could make reservations for parties of 2 or more online but the system was down. He said he put me on the waitlist but didn't ask me for my name and number. I asked him if he needed it and he said "yeah I can take it down". When I AM able to make online reservations, they never mark me as showing up so they obviously don't have designated tables for people who reserve it. And what happens after is I get an accusatory email from OpenTable asking why I was a no-show. I will let you judge if there are slackers who work here. The parking lot here doesn't have enough spots for how many diners usually eat here and it gets really crowded.
Food: The food was great. Haply hours makes it worth while. The pizzas were good here and are part of the happy hour meal. Service: Amazing service. Waiter was always checking up on you. Seating: The bar section is pretty big. You have booths, high tables and of course the bar. They only do happy hours at the bar side. The dining seat side is even bigger and made up of booths and tables. Plenty of seats. Parking: There is not enough parking. You may end up driving around before you find parking during peak hours.
what a pleasant experience! some chill monday night football on the big tv, a nice warm greek inspired chicken dish, and to finish it all off a chocolate cookie with ice cream on top; the famed pazookie. bj’s has lived up to all the hype. certainly top contender for best corporate-core fast casual dining experience
Amelia was super friendly and helpful, even though she had a very busy section, she was attentive and continually checked in on us. The manager Johnny was friendly and came to check on us a couple times as well. He was also all over the place doing all jobs like wiping down tables, cleaning tables, getting drinks and checking in on people. From my experience usually managers are not so active. They did a good job keeping our drinks refilled. Overall, a great experience!
It was my bday & I asked my boyfriend to take me here. He won’t say no to BJs 😉 The food was really good the macaroni balls And the avocado Eggrolls with the Sriracha sauce was really good and then the ice cream that was good. The service was OK. I wasn’t impressed. They were a little slow and it wasn’t even packed.
Pre-ordered pick up order through the app, baby back pork ribs, boneless wings, deep dish pizza, deep dish nachos, seared ahi salad, calamaris and fried couscous mac and cheese balls. Pick up is easy, just waited 10 minutes. And the staff is very friendly as usual. Ahi salad is tasty, boneless wings are salty and heavily battered, the couscous mac and cheese balls is a disaster, they all smashed inside the little box, definitely not the ball shape. And ordering the deep dish nachos to-go was not a good idea, they are all glued together and soggy too, it’s better to dine in with this item. I think it’ll be better to dine in rather than ordering take out.
Right next to Apple office...always crowded in Happy hour..good beer options on tap..and tasty snacks.. Update from 3/7/24:we went there very often as its next to our office. We ordered baby back ribs and meat was hard and not fresh. We ordered the full rack. Quantity was good but lack overall taste. However Salmon was good. Pizookie was awesome as usual.
I'm so sad that BJ's is not a better experience. We have so few good restaurants in Cupertino and fewer breweries. BJ's has everything it needs to be a good restaurant and has always struggled from the very beginning to be great. It's a nice big building with huge ceilings and lots of TVs playing sports. It has a pretty good beer list and it serves flights. The menu is very extensive but very consistently the food is served slowly and not hot. Today I ordered my very favorite Barbecue Chicken Salad which has crispy onion strings on top. I used to order this as a half salad because it's huge but they no longer offer that option. The salad today was either prepared too far in advance or the ingredients weren't fresh but it was just a little bit wilted. And the shoe string onions were cold not even room temperature. My mother-in-law ordered salmon with french fries and the french fries arrived cold. Our waitress was struggling from the beginning and informed us that she was brand-new and was still learning the menu on the tablet. It was awesome that she told us that and it made us be even more patient with her. However, she really shouldn't have been left alone with customers without more training. It wasn't fair to her and I can imagine that other patrons could have been pretty rude to her.
Bjs is always a classic place to eat! We came here for happy hour. We ordered the potstickers (not pictured cause I was starving and devoured them), the wedge salad and the buffalo mini pizza which was on happy hour. Happy hour is 3pm-7pm and they have great options. More than the food, Crystal, our server, was fantastic! She had a fun attitude and was prompt on serving us. We really appreciate that! If we come back to town we will definitely come back to this location. It’s clean and has a good vibe.
The wait for a table and to get the food is very long. There were people after we arrived and they were seated first. No order or appropriate wait time. We waited about an hour to get our food. We arrived at noon and received our food at 1pm. They only rushed when we questioned for our food and we were upset and annoyed by this point. The food was good but the cookie dessert got burnt from the bottom.
Food is decent but really heavy, service is decent. I’d never come here on my own and only come with friends. Pizookie (cookie pizza with ice cream) is a must and generally what they’re known for. Prime steak Sunday can be hit or miss. I liked the sides more than the steak. The food is ok.
I’ve been here a few times already and it’s ok. Just your run of the mill franchise. The low rating is for the service because it’s soooo slooooow. My bison burger was cold when I got it but I didn’t even both asking for it to be heated up because the amount of time it took for me to get the first plate took an hour. Pizzas and pizookies are safe bets here.
Waitress named Nat was amazing. All three of us couldn't finish our steaks because of the amount of salt on them.
We had the worst service I can ever remember, not only at this BJ's, but ever. Our waiter was just mindless. For instance, we asked 3 times for a kids cup of water, and he failed to bring it. I finally asked the hostess, and she delivered in under a minute. He never refilled my ice tea, even though I asked. He came to take our dessert order, my adult kids ordered a pizzokie to share, and before I could order, he just walked away. Overall, just a horrible $120+ experience.
5/29/23 Memorial day We asked for a Well-done burger the send us a “extra crispy” burger ❌ The avocado rolls were old. The avocados was black. The rolls did not look good ❌ We asked for boxes to take home and we never got a bag for the boxes. Really?! ❌ We like the place but this day the food and the service were not at its best.
My husband and I went for dinner here. The food was very average. Not that great. And the quantity of the food was very less for the price we paid. I got a Tri-Tip steak and shrimp scampy with fries and chili and he got a spicy peanut chicken with soba noodles. It was a very small piece of steak and just 6 pieces of shrimp. The chili tasted like it was out of a can. Very disappointed with their chili. The spicy peanut chicken tasted good, but the quantity was very less!
We went on a Sunday afternoon and the place had the vibe of a funeral. The staff was barely communicating, food was mediocre, with one side dish tasting really bad and expired. The waiter was not impressed by that, seemed more as if he knew exactly how bad it was… It sucks because we liked the place but this was too much for us to take, we won’t be coming back soon
The place is nice, the food is good, but the place was completely empty. There were more than 5 waiters and none of them attended to us. Terrible service. I waited for more than 25 minutes for someone to attend to us at the reception and I had to ask if the place was attended to by itself since no one wanted to attend to us.
Food was decent the service was awful. Everything, we delivered wrong. We asked for a pork chop with green beans it's was delivered with frys. We asked for ice teas she forgot.vwe asked again for 3 ice teas. She brought one. After two more attempts we are able to get sugar and straws for our drinks. The restroom was dirty and wet I almost slipped and fell. I will never come back here.
14 year old daughter went to BJ's with her three friends for dinner. They ordered mocktails but somehow all the mocktails had alcohol. Her and her friends ended up getting sick and was flushed and dizzy from the alcohol. Contacted BJ's about it - they said they looked at security video and didn't know what happened.
The food was at most ok; however, the service was horrible. The servers are nice don't get me wrong, but our appetizer was the last item to come out and it took us 20 just to get a container for the ice cream. We almost never saw our server and he never once checked in with us until another server told him that something was wrong.
I placed a take-out order and when I got home, I realized it was the wrong order. I immediately called the restaurant, but the manager’s response was extremely unprofessional. Instead of apologizing, he questioned why it took me an hour to notice, as if it’s his business to track how long it takes me to get home. When I offered to email my receipt to prove what I had ordered, he was dismissive, rude, and even made inappropriate comments that came across as discriminatory. Instead of taking responsibility, he denied my order details and treated me with complete disrespect. This was an awful experience — both the mistake with my food and the way I was spoken to. Truly a pathetic way to handle customers. Never coming back here again!!
Waited 30 minutes for our order to be taken then waited 1 hour for our food to come then another hour for our dessert to come, when the dessert came one of the pizzokies never came we waited 10 more minutes before deciding to cut our losses and leave, when we went up to pay and asked to remove the pizzookie we were told we would either have to wait 10 minutes for it to come as it can’t be refunded, we decided to just pay for it and leave without never getting it. TLDR; we waited 2 and a half hours for overpriced food and weren’t allowed to get refunded after one of our desserts never came
We normally order takeout or delivery. Decided to give dine in a try. Left midway through meal after a horrible experience. One of the waiters was extremely rude to me in front of my kids. Paid full price for untouched main course. Decent thing would have been to not charge us for that. Congratulations for loosing a customer for life.
What is this? 🤣 🤣 Maybe I’m missing something as an uncultured non American… Though my husband also thought it was a hoof and immediately/half jokingly started Googling sirloin. As humorous as the situation was to us, the meat was as bad as it looks. I ate all of it 'cos I paid for it, but if the steak had tasted even a tad bit normal, this wouldn’t have been a one star review. Even looking back at the photos I keep bursting out laughing at how it looks. The meat was cooked medium, not medium rare like we ordered so for a restaurant which is basically a glorified family restaurant with a nice looking bar... this tracks! The difference between my husband's sirloin steak and mine despite ordering the same dish was stark. So his was mediocre and mine was basically unacceptable. Except I couldn't really be bothered to ask for a new plate and prefer just not to return to restaurants that don't have good food. Although, I expect we simply got unlucky today since other times my husband has been here without me, he has supposedly gotten decent steak. But today both steaks were so tough that by the point I was done with my meal my hand hurt from trying to cut pieces off and my throat hurt from how hard and dry each piece was to swallow. The place has slightly upscale TGI Fridays vibes upon arrival. Overall, the food seems like general family restaurant level food. I imagine it'd be great to come with a crowd of work friends and get some drinks (we didn't try the alcohol so I have no clue if it's any good). We visited on a weekday for lunch which might explain why the crowd felt mostly senior rather than young. We had a sweet and polite waitress but nothing particularly noteworthy or nice about this place other than her. At one point, one male(?) staff member actually walked in front of me with me having to excuse them (when they weren't carrying anything or occupied with other customers etc.) when we ended up blocking each other, which I've never even have happen at a random mom-and-pop so that felt really weird. It's a huge space with super high ceilings and it's very airy which is great, and I like that they have 2-person booths, although we moved to a bigger booth since there weren't many people when we arrived. The A/C is always cranked too high as per my husband who has tried the joint a few times now. Despite the meal deals meaning it seems like a good deal to eat out, I'd rather just get something from the supermarket and make myself and friends food than waste my money here. I don’t intend to return.
Really disappointing and gross experience at BJ’s. My friend found a piece of gum stuck to their food tray, which was obviously dry and had been there for a while. When we brought it to the staff’s attention, they quickly took the tray away and said they would reorder the food, but didn’t seem concerned about how unsanitary it was. When the manager came out, his customer service was awful and he was very accusatory instead of actually listening to us. Said that he can go ahead and comp my friend meal and gave a small discount for my tray but The whole situation made us so grossed out that we didn’t even want to eat anymore, yet we still had to pay for the rest of the food. Overall, very poor handling of a pretty disgusting situation and would not recommend.
Overall, the food quality is the worst you could get. We have four people and order three steaks. The prime rib was reheated and tasted so bad. Other two steaks were all overcooked. Water was never refilled. We spent almost 2 hours there, only one glass of water then the waitress just never showed up. Bad service, bad food quality! We came here very often before Covid, and the last time we came in was 2022. This site needs to change its management. Bad bad bad!
Server (female) completely ignored our table the entire night. It was obvious that we were her table, when we had four surrounding tables around us a table outside directly behind, all being served by the same person. No one came to provide table utensils, ask if we’ve been served, and even when her other co-workers were clearly telling her that we were her table, we could see her bodily language saying “no” and continuing to serve other tables. I’m not the type of person to start causing a storm, but I asked the bartender and another waitress if we could be helped, they nicely said they would find the server that was supposed to help us, even after going to the very person who was supposed to help us, we ended up getting the supervisor (who was nice) to put in our orders. After getting our food , we ended up being ignored for the rest of the night. This isn’t my first time coming to this BJs, as a matter of fact I come here multiple times a month, I don’t expect too much on the customer service , but this was a new low that I have never seen. Even if the server came and apologized and helped us, that would’ve alleviated any dissatisfaction I had and we could have moved on like adults and I would happily had them serve us. But it looks like common courtesy is lost here as well. And I won’t be coming back. Here’s the kicker, my mom nicely asked the server ignoring us if we could get some to go boxes for our food, she said “Yes” and never came back. And continued to help the other tables.
Overall: food is either too salty or too bland. Burgers were missing lettuce, tomato, dressing, pickles. Pasta was tasteless and depressing. Don't eat here if you have high blood pressure or heart issues. Oh, gosh. Where do I even start? This is my first time at BJ's, and if we never come back again, it will be too soon. We ordered kids' mini burgers, thinking they were so cute. But what did we get? The saddest pieces of bun and patty thrown into a box. Where was the promised lettuce, tomato, and dill pickles? We got none of that. This is insulting to kids everywhere. We got the fries though. And those were FAR too salty. Is this how BJ's wants to feed children now? Carbs and protein and an over abundance of salt? This is setting our children up for heart disease. We also ordered a kids pasta (penne with chicken in alfredo sauce). AND LET ME TELL YOU, this...tastes like the frozen pasta I can buy at Walmart for $1. The penne had no taste and the chicken was absurdly salty. The mashed potatoes were also ridiculously salty. Cardiovascular disease, anyone? We ordered an Italian chicken parmigiana pasta, and again, the pasta looked like something from a frozen pasta meal from Walmart for $1. It was really, really sad. So sad, it's actually kinda comical. Honestly, the Walmart would have been a better value. It would have been tastier and way cheaper. I suppose the one saving grace is the pizookie. I've never tried one before so I was a little excited to try it. And after disappointment after disappointment in our orders today, we flipped over the pizookie to find the saddest looking baked...thing. It looked pitiful. But you know what, it was probably the best tasting thing we've had all night. I don't have any comments on the service and atmosphere since we ordered for pick-up, but they seemed nice enough.
I hadn't set foot in this place for years—literally 4-5 years, to be exact. Recently, I decided to give it another shot, and boy, was I disappointed. I really wish I had checked the reviews before coming here. Let's rewind to the beginning: I hadn't seen my friend in a while, and as we were in the area, I remembered this place and suggested we go there. Upon walking in, we were greeted by an unfriendly host who directed us to the cocktail sitting area only, despite the rest of the restaurant being empty. I questioned why we couldn't sit elsewhere, but neither he nor another lady—who I assumed was another host—could provide a satisfactory answer. Apparently, there were no servers available, except for one who was in training. Mind you, it was 4:00 pm on a Saturday. Eventually, we were seated where we wanted, but not at the cozy booth tables; instead, we found ourselves smack in the middle of the hallway, near the cashier register. To make matters worse, all the tables around us were dirty, and two servers were standing idly, doing absolutely nothing. We placed our orders and began chatting, but the service was excruciatingly slow, and the food was just mediocre. The avocado appetizer, which used to be a favorite of mine 5 years ago, was disappointingly overcooked. The entrees were passable but nothing to write home about. Perhaps the most surprising thing of all? No coffee! Who would have thought a restaurant wouldn't offer coffee? As we were eating, a busboy appeared out of nowhere and began clearing tables single-handedly. More servers started arriving, along with more customers, and by 6:00 pm, the place was packed. Our server mentioned he was going on break and vanished for a whopping 1 hour and 30 minutes. We tried to order dessert multiple times—from different servers and even a host—but kept getting the runaround. When our original server, Cameron, finally reappeared, he hadn't even placed our dessert order. After an hour and 20 minutes of waiting, we finally received our dessert. At that point, we were more intrigued to see how the service debacle would end than anything else. I'm never coming back here—never! It's clear that the management is the root of the problem. Firstly, the tables were disgustingly dirty, and no one bothered to clean them. Seriously? If you're short-staffed, at least help each other out. To the owner and general manager: Do you want your establishment to thrive or shut down? Start motivating your staff and fostering a friendly work environment. My suggestion? Hire a new manager—preferably a good one.
