I was skeptical at first, but the place was spotless. I ordered a hamburger and fries. Once the order came and I tasted the fries, they were the best I have ever tasted. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The burger, what more can I say. It was the best burger I have ever eaten. This is a place to go. Clean, excellent food, and friendly staff. Would i eat here again, Yes I would. I drove over 100 miles and will make that drive, just for the food.
Amazing food. The London style anything is wonderful! I love the fish and shrimp combo with half and half fries and onion rings. My kids and husband love the burgers. Full of flavor and great portions.
JBL Eatery is the place to go if you want some good food. My wife and I ordered chili cheese fries, Avocado bacon burger that we were able to share and get full. The service was great. We got the opportunity to meet the gentleman who baked the bread. The restaurant is small but clean, plenty of seating and the restroom was clean. I really can't say enough about this restaurant and I'm looking forward to going back to try something different. I'll keep you posted on my next meal.
This is the gym lived out here for a while and didn't realize that they had a good place like this to grab burgers and chicken strips. So you can strip seem to be in battered, real. Burgers are very big. They're on a homemade bun which is really nice. Really impressed with the burger. Highly recommend.
JBL Eatery at Barker Cypress is a hidden gem! I had the Crazy Burger—juicy, flavorful, and absolutely packed with taste. One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. I also tried the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, and wow… it might be the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy, with just the right amount of heat and flavor. To top it off, I had the Fried Oreos for dessert—crispy on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside. The perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re craving great food and bold flavors! Let me know what you think!
Good food for very reasonable prices! Best burger I’ve had in a while. The kids cheeseburger was more than enough. The shrimp were good as well.
I went back to the resteraunt(this place is my guilty pleasure) this past Tuesday and it’s as good as ever. customer service was great and of course the burger was excellent. I didn’t even get a combo because the burger was so huge.
We have eaten at another JLB out near Stephen F Austin State Park and when we noticed this one closer to home we decided to give it a try. Glad we did. The burger combo was more than big enough for my husband & I to share and it was fabulous. Just a regular no frills homemade burger like we used to get in the old days. We also got the fried Oreos(comes with 6)which are great as well.
Just had a burger so big, I had to introduce it to my family before taking a bite. Juicy, massive, and worth every calorie. The picture is the "Crazy burger" on the menu. Onion rings are excellent. Highly recommend if you're ready to unhinge your jaw like a snake. Kudos to the management, friendly staff great atmosphere !
We ate lunch here for the first time on a Saturday. The staff was very friendly and the food was fantastic! The menu had a great variety of items to choose from so we will be back to try more food!
Great food and friendly service! Good size menu, reasonable prices and they make their bread fresh daily. The burgers are huge! Really. My husband and I shared the double meat burger and a large order of chili cheese fries. We eat a lot yet still had left overs. The burger was juicy and fresh and the chili cheese fries were crisp with plenty of beef chili and cheese sauce. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. It was also quite peaceful, I believe in part because they play the radio station KSBJ. I highly recommend that you try it out for yourself. Tip to manager: Get thicker napkins. These juicy burgers definitely call for them :)
Food was delicious. Big portions, cheap price imo because the burgers are HUGE. The food all came out hot a fresh. The flavor was great, crispy tots and fries, buns are home made and delicious. I highly recommend this place , it’s my new favorite burger spot
I had never been to a JLB Eatery before and we stopped in for a quick lunch at their Cypress location. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their food. The house-made bun was great and did not get soggy at all. Additionally the chicken and the beef were very fresh and cooked well. I got the combo with regular fries and they had a great crunch. The wings were crispy and made fresh as well. Amazing Churro!! Nice and clean establishment I will definitely be back!!
So we decided to stop in Thursday night. Walked in at 8:13pm and found out they close at 8pm. The owner was gracious enough to allow us to order and dine in. That was awesome. Ordered the bacon cheese burger and it was so so so good. Best I've had in a long time. My wife had the fish and shrimp. That was very very good as well. If you want a great burger and great customer service, Joy Love Burger is the place to go. We will most definitely be back.
These. Burgers. Are. GIANT! So flavorful. Their small side of fries is huge too! My husband absolutely loved the Joy Love Burger, my sister loved the Buffalo Chicken Ranch Burger, and I thoroughly enjoyed the good ol Bacon Cheeseburger. It is a tad pricey, but so so worth it! And go ahead and add the chili and cheese to your fries...you know you want to!
The burger is great. Very generous portion. It came out pretty fast. Definitely come back again.
Food was ok. This was our first time visiting this location. We typically go to the one on hwy 6. Service was great but a little disappointed in the food. Not typical of JLB so hoping the kitchen had an off day. We will try again.
High quality burger for a pretty fair price. The bigger burgers were pretty messy, so you gotta know what you're getting yourself into. I got one of the signature burgers and my girlfriend got one of their basic ones. We got a side a fries. It was a ton of food. The little shop is nice and cozy. The guy that worked there was nice and helpful.
I purchased an avocado burger combo and requested to substitute regular fries with curly fries. They wanted $3 upcharge. The price difference from regular fries to curly fries is $1. The owner complained that curly fries were expensive. They were trying to rip me off! Be careful here!
Place was clean and staff was nice and attentive. Burger wasn’t seasoned , but the meat was good ! However the catfish was not cooked , ( I asked for fried hard ) Very soggy and no seasoning as I asked for Cajun . 2 dinners for my kids down the drain! What a waste of money !!!!!! The location on FM 1960 was soooo good I thought I’d give this location a try since it’s closer to my house 😑 . I’ll go back to FM 1960 If I have to get uncooked food I’ll go to the pond next time . I was rooting for this local restaurant too ! It was the worst catfish I ever had ! Definitely was a waste of 28 bucks because I wouldn’t risk eating this uncooked meat in exchange for a hospital trip to the ER
Unprofessional location, arrived at 1152 am door locked. Worker motion me to hold on. Fine, I waited after serval minutes I returned to my vehicle. Once looked back to the entrance door customers came out, I guess I'm the wrong type of customer. I will not visit this location again. Very disappointed.
