I haven’t dined inside the restaurant yet, but I have used Banana Leaf Thai for catering — and I cannot say enough great things about the experience. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish tastes authentic and made with real care. What truly sets Banana Leaf Thai apart, though, is the owner and his son. They are absolutely spectacular — professional, kind, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything is perfect. Their level of service and attention to detail is rare and so appreciated. If their catering is any indication of the restaurant experience, I know it’s exceptional. Highly recommend for events, gatherings, or any time you want amazing Thai food with outstanding service.
I have severe Celiac and I have not trusted anyone else to make my food since 2022. I was told about Banana Leaf recently and decided to try them today. I placed a pick up order and was welcomed with amazing, high energy, and knowledgeable staff. Just the few minutes I was there picking up my order made my entire day!! To top it off, I got back to work to try the Spicy Cajun Rice with Shrimp and was dancing in my seat, most likely annoying my coworkers with a lot of mmmmm mmmhhmmmsss and excitement. I WILL be back, often!! They also let me know that a lot of their menu could be made Gluten free you just need to communicate that to them. I am so grateful to have a trusted, delicious place I can eat at with no worries!!
I recently dined at Banana Leaf on my birthday with my family, it was an exceptional experience! The vibrant atmosphere, attentive staff, and, most importantly, the delicious Thai cuisine made it a five-star dining adventure. Each dish showcased authentic flavors, and the menu offered a wide variety to satisfy any palate. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful taste of Thailand. Loved homemade Mango Icecream. I recently dined at this lovely Thai restaurant and had an exceptional experience. I was seeking a place that could accommodate substitutions for non-dairy products, and I was delighted by the service. Aldana, my server, was gracious and incredibly helpful. She made sure my meal was prepared with a low spice level, just as I requested, and substituted coconut milk for the traditional dairy in my Thai tea. The attention to detail and genuine care for my dietary needs made my visit truly enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great Thai food with excellent service!
I love Banana Leaf Thai! I love the owner Mr Steve & his family! It makes sense why they have been in the game for 36 years! My go to special that Mr Steve put me on that I love so much & ALWAYS get is their Black Pepper Garlic, he put me on that & I’ve been hooked since! He takes care of me everytime I order or when I go into the establishment - he always so sweet to me & extremely funny! The customer service is ALWAYS superb & his family is just good people! Def a spot worth trying & going over & over again!👌🏾✨
My family and even extended family have been enjoying Banana Leaf for over 10 years. They have catered many family gathering and by doing so have helped some amazing memories be made. It’s always a great time when there is great food! Steve and his team always go the extra mile. You will not be disappointed here! 10/10!!!
I’ve known Banana Leaf for so long & it’s been a long while since I’ve been here due to moving out of Texas. I went yesterday for a going away & the food, service, & atmosphere were all spectacular still. They have never disappointed. It was my friend’s first time & they were amazed. Sometimes you just gotta drive a little bit to get authentic & amazing Thai cuisine. 10/10 recommend!
Our favorite Thai food! This is a wonderful family owned business that has been in the area for many years. Every dish I've tried has been delicious!! My go to is the red curry...BEST ive ever had!! I also love the basil fried rice and pad Thai. The staff is always very friendly and has excellent customer service. Best food in the area! Youve got to try it :)

Ordered banana leaf thai for a company catering order. In less 24 hours the father and son had the order placed and within budget! We had the absolute pleasure of working with Kameron and his family for our wedding catering, and the entire experience was nothing short of amazing. From the very beginning, Kameron made everything seamless. We started with a tasting at their restaurant, and the food was incredible—full of flavor, depth, and so much heart. One of the things we appreciated most was how thoughtful and intentional the entire process felt. Kameron recommended a staffing company they’ve partnered with many times before, and they handled pickup and service flawlessly. The price point was also extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality, care, and consistency they delivered. Beyond the logistics, what truly made this special was knowing we were supporting a family-owned small business with a beautiful story. The mom, who is Thai, pours her love and heritage into every recipe. The dad, who is Chinese with roots in Louisiana, brings the warmth, hospitality, and charm that you instantly feel when you walk through their doors. And Kameron (their son) carried the whole process from start to finish with professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. They’ve been perfecting their craft for 36 years, and you can taste that legacy in every bite. Shout out to the Jong family. We are so grateful for their contribution to our day and look forward to dining in again very soon
Banana Leaf Thai Cuisine is an incredible family-owned restaurant with great food and ran by great people! I've worked with the owners closely for a large catering order of 1350 meals, and they were able to deliver everything on time and help us set up as well. They were really sweet, especially Steve and Kameron. They made sure to customize certain meals for us as well and were very accomodating. I definitely recommend this restaurant for a great experience!! I would definitely cater/order from this place again in the future.

The best Thai food in Dallas! I’ve been visiting this location since it opened over 25 years ago. The food is outstanding, and the service is impeccable. The owner is a true gentleman and always friendly. He genuinely cares about making your dining experience the best it can be.
First time here and I was blown away. Food came out hot, fresh, and super tasty. The portions were generous and definitely worth the price. This is my new favorite Thai place in town.

This is by fav one of my go to places. Love the curry, pad see ew, and pad Thai. They’ll make it spicy and they are very good with celiac friendly food, I can order plenty of gluten free, dairy free, and egg free food! So good.

I’ve eaten at Michelin star Thai restaurants before. This place easily ties with them, if not even better on select dishes! The chefs specials are truly special. I try a different one everytime I go, tastebuds have not been let done once. As simple as appetizers that taste the same everywhere, a twist in all the right areas happens at this place. Oh and the presentation with each item is so unexpected when the food is already top quality! The owner Steve is a true example of the American dream. A humble and grateful business owner who truly connects with everyone of his customers. As well as staff. Which is rare to see loyalty and love towards staff from an owner. A happy place for all. Last & most important of all, the service from Ariana. I cannot express how important this is. The server is who creates your environmental ambiance for dining. No matter the cuisine, fine dining or casual, I won’t spend my money consistently without an excellent server. It can make or break a business, even with great food. Ariana is the make for this place. Consistently friendly, genuine, attentive, smiling, respectful, energetic, sweet, and most of all, fast along with excellent communication. A perfect 10 in service, to go with the best Thai food I’ve ever had. You’ll quickly end up driving out of your way EVERY TIME to eat here like I do now 😅
This was our first visit, we were given a warm welcome as soon as we came in. Our server Cooper was amazing and truly made our dinner a great experience. Management was very friendly and stopped by multiple times to chat. Food was perfect, Pad Plik King and Lo Mein, and Cream Cheese Rolls were delicious.

This Thai place is well deserving of the rating they have. They are affordable and delicious, and the food is really well presented. The portion sizes will leave you satisfied, and all of us had left overs! We got the fresh spring rolls and the crispy ones, and both left me wanting more, a perfect appetizer. We also finished the meal with the flaming ice cream which was a fun presentation and delightful as well. Overall I would highly recommend coming and visiting this place!

I ordered the Basil Shrimp Entree with Rice, but the actual dish was very different from what was advertised. The menu photo shows shrimp as the main ingredient, but what I received was almost entirely green peppers and vegetables, with little to no shrimp. I understand that presentation can vary, but the main ingredient being missing goes beyond normal variation. This feels misleading compared to the menu description and photo. The taste was okay, but the mismatch between the advertised item and what was delivered was disappointing. I hope the restaurant can provide more accurate menu photos and ensure the dish matches its description.
