Bangkok City has always held a very special place in my heart. My late son and I decided to try Thai for the first time about twenty years ago and we never looked back. Jan always took great care of us back then—and she continues to serve delicious food with a warm, friendly smile when my father and I eat there today. It’s a relaxed, comfy, quiet place to eat. I have had quite a few things here over the years and I’ve always enjoyed my meals. We usually start with the chicken satay, corn patties, Thai salad rolls, or their delicious Tom Kha Gai. My favorites entrees are their yellow curry, Hello! Ginger, Pad-Gra-Prow (fresh basil), Cashew Nut, green curry, jungle curry, and basil noodles. Before developing a ridiculous shellfish/seafood allergy, I was a big fan of their Panang and Massaman curries. My wife loves their Pad Thai, and my Dad loves their sweet & sour entrees along with their seafood Pad Ped. When in season, their mango sticky rice is a must. If I can’t have that, I go for the black rice pudding. Also, if you’re a fan of iced tisanes (herbal teas), their raspberry iced tea is my absolute fave. They’re the only place I know that serves it. (If I were the kind of person who got embarrassed, I would stop myself from drinking so much of it my belly sloshes.)
Everything was amazing! This was mine and my husband's first time and we will definitely be back! We had the fish cake, corn patty and steamed Thai dumpling for our apps - don't skip the sauces! Very delicious and necessary to each one. The Mongolian beef was the star entree for us, with the red curry being a VERY close second. The owners were sweet people and very attentive! More people should know about this place. Family owned, love in every dish they serve, as well as their service. Thank you again!
Bangkok City is out favorite Thai restaurant in Dallas! My husband and I have been eating here for over 23 years when we were dating. It’s now our daughter’s favorite as well. Unfortunately we moved a lot further so we don’t come as often as we’d like to. Their yellow curry is one of my favorite dishes. My husband loves their Pad Thai and he’s very picky with his Pad Thai. I’ve never had anything bad here. All their dishes are full of flavor with the freshest ingredients. They make everything from scratch and all the dishes are made to order. I also love their Penang Salmon. Our daughter loves their crispy egg rolls and their Bangkok City shrimp. We adore the owner Jen, she’s so kind, welcoming and so friendly. ✨ The entire staff is always so welcoming and attentive. Don’t be fooled, there’s a lot of restaurants named Bangkok City in DFW but this is the only one that is the real deal and has been for 30 years.
This place was absolutely fantastic! Food so flavorful just off the chain! It's fresh aromatic, cooked to perfection, and very pleasing to the eyes. The atmosphere mixture of family and friendly comradery. Nothing but smiles and laughter up in this place. Oh, the decor and fixtures beautiful warm and cozy. The associates that were serving that night all smiles, so nice and attentive to our every need. Each item that we ordered was better than the next item served!Lol We are going back with a bigger group! Ps please please please! Get the green tea ice cream and avocado curry, definitely the Fried Rice. I think it was called Tom Yum amazing!!!! Check this place out if your in the area or just wanting to get out.
The food was really good! It was right down the road from our airbnb so we walked there and they had a warm greeting. For appetizers, we got the Thai Salad Rolls and Cream Cheese Wontons and they were both SO good. The sauce that came with the salad rolls matched it very nicely. For lunch I got the #43 Avocado Thai Curry, it came with white rice and it was very good. My friend got the #43a Massaman Curry, it also came with white rice. We both enjoyed ours and each others dishes very much. We also wanted some noodles so we got an order some Pad Thai and I was very pleased with it but my friend didn’t prefer the sweetness so that’s up to preference. All in all, it was a very relaxing place, the people who work here are very nice and quiet. They had nice music on. It wasn’t busy for a Sunday lunch. I recommend:)
I tried the panang curry and the pad-prig-king. Both dishes were phenomenal even in this Texas heat. 🔥 I can’t wait for it to cool down so I can enjoy these dishes even more. Their food is packed with flavor– there was a party in my mouth. The green beans were cooked to perfection. The service was great. It seems like the staff helps each other out and are super attentive. I’ve been there a couple times since and each dish is delicious. 😋 the papaya salad,tom kha soup, dumplings, and garlic chicken were fantastic!
During our trip in Dallas, we found this Thai restaurant right next to our Airbnb and it turned out to be the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The flavors, spices and heat were truly authentic. The atmosphere wasn’t the best.. we got stared at, but maybe they were just trying to figure out if I was Thai. Regardless, the food was amazing and the coconut water was super refreshing after all that spice. I even came back the next day to try their mango sticky rice (takeout) and I loved it just as much!
Authentic, reasonably priced, wholesome and tasty Thai food with great service in a relaxing atmosphere. We had the Pad Thai with chicken, the green curry with tofu, pad see ew and spicy eggplant. All turned out to be great choices! Spicy level of medium was perfect. Food came out quickly after ordered and the waitress was very attentive to our needs. Will be back if I am in the area again. Tip: Nice seating options available right outside the restaurant in the lounge area which is still inside the building but not exposed to the elements. I would pick that option next time we visit.
Service was nice, food was delicious. Got the spicy beef salad, green curry, basil duck, green tea icecream, and mango sticky rice. Basil duck was crispy on the outside but the meat was so tender! Street parking where you find it since it's in Dallas! P.s. I didn't get a picture of the steamed thai dumplings but highly recommend. It's really good!
The food is always so good!! The Spring Rolls are my fave, non fried! Ordered the Jungle Curry dish, level 4 the hottest, it did not disappoint. My husband ordered the Teriyaki Grilled Chicken w Broccoli. Really good, sweet sauce. Our waitress Lan and the others are always very welcoming!
Came here for the first time and ordered so much! Sticky rice, chicken and even the hot pot seafood soup ! My favorite spot!
One of my favorite Thai Restaurant! I love Thai Chicken Fried Rice. Fried Tofu also taste so good, it was fried perfectly so you can taste the crispy skin and soft inside in the same time. The Tom Yum soup also taste so good and we like it spicy. Tom Kha Gai soup is my kids favorite, creamy coconut soup with mushrooms inside. Very good food! 😊👍😋
Perfect little hole in the wall! I got the avocado curry and my boyfriend got the spicy eggplant. Both were amazing. We also tried the Thai beers and they were delicious. If you go - make sure to try the Thai coffee! It was SO rich and flavorful. The service was fantastic and our food was out (and hot!) in minutes. All at a great price. We will be back!
I ordered Tom-Kha-Gai (Coconut Milk Soup) to go (and this is actually my first time eating here). Happy that I chose this place because I’m currently gearing up for labor and wanted a delicious light meal before delivery and OMG 🥰🥰😋🤤 This dish is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. I will be returning to see what other great dishes this restaurant has
I've been a longtime customer at Bangkok City. It's one of those places that has truly earned It's often nominated "Best Thai Restaurant" by DMagazine. Always consistent, fantastic authentic Thai food. Trust me, you're going to be a regular!
Wow! Best chicken satay presentation I’ve ever had. We also tried the massuman curry, ground chicken basil, chicken fried rice, and Thai tea. It was all VERY good! Highly recommend!
I live close to this place and decided to check it out. Everything is always packed perfectly, the portions are huge, and any special requests I have are always fulfilled. I love the pad thai!
We have been going to this place for a few years now and it’s my favorite! Chicken satay and crab wontons are amazing, the noodles and soups are tasty. My husband loves the fried rice and I have ordered the yellow curry more times than I can count. I dream about this curry, so good!!! And if you dine in, the owners are always so nice and attentive. A must try if you are in the area!
Best Thai has become a new favorite for our family since moving to the Far North Dallas Area last year. The food is delicious and authentic Thai food that absolutely anyone can enjoy. This restaurant brings joy and happiness to my fiancé and I, and we plan to continue to come in for a visit as often as we can. The service and hospitality is so very genuine and pleasant. I’d highly recommend Best Thai Signature (Frankford Road) for a meal that will certainly make you want to return again and again.
This dinner was a delicious and simple experience. The prices were reasonable, and the food was of good taste. This is my first time trying Thai and I enjoyed it.

The chicken satay is possibly the best I’ve ever tasted! You can tell it’s been marinated a long time and is super tender and juicy, and the flavor is savory and delicious!
Vegan and Jain friendly. Gabriel is always so patient, friendly, and personable. We love coming here. It’s family oriented, accommodating to our diet, and of course the food is delicious. They really are the Best Thai in Dallas!
We went to try their Thai food for lunch. We ordered Shrimp Padthai and Crispy Beef. They’re both delicious. Their shrimp Pad Thai is close, but not same as to the taste of Bangkok’s Street Vendors Pad Thai. Our serving staff was friendly and helpful. Clean, well lighted/decorated and good place for intimate dining. There’s a lot of parking, since it’s inside a commercial strip mall.
Excellent Thai restaurant in the middle of Dallas area with easy access from DNT and PGBT. The Thai Hot 🔥 ID truly spicy🥵. The best Thai spice that I came across in DFW area. Food is awesome 👍👌 and well enjoyed. The vegan eggplant 🍆 curry is really to try for. Thai Basil Fried Rice is well done but the taste of fresh basil 🌿 was lost in the Thai Hot 🔥, may be you can try with 2 or 3 star if you really like to taste the 🌿. With excellent service and great ambience, we are sure to return.
One of the best Thai food I have had in a while....and I know my Thai food.. I had the green curry lunch and it was amazing. Also had dessert ( some sticky rice with coconut and fresh Mango) recommended by the waiter. That, too, was so good. Try out their other locations Best Thai in Addison and Too Thai in Carolton
Delicious and tasty food. Make sure you're careful when ordering the spicy level. We had a 3 last time and we didn't think it was too spicy so we went for five this time and it didn't disappoint. Five is not for the faint of heart. They're vegan selection is great and very accommodating when ordering. Been there twice now and had a wonderful server who was knowledgeable about the menu and very pleasant. Pleasant background music, cool AC, beautiful decor and tables that are set beautifully. Perfect for a quiet date night or dinner with the family. Five stars all around?
This place is unbelievable!!! Food is amazing, delicious and fresh. I came with my mom and decided to try 3 different plates, Thai Garlic Sauce -Beef, Chicken Noodle Soup, the Green Curry and the most crispy veggie spring rolls. Everything tasted so good we did not have much left to take home😭. Lastly but no less important, the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. We are really happy and definitely back next week!
My sister and I I love this place. Some of the best curry and dumplings I have ever had. Service is awesome. Everything is super fresh. We order take out often and were able to eat in one day during lunch. Although, it was busy our food still came out in a great time. I recommend the green curry spice level 4 with seafood or just shrimp.
Good food. Reasonable prices. They have happy hour every day between 3 and 7 with several appetizers and several drinks at $4. I've always received really fast and courteous service here. I also like that they have several vegetarian selections. I always order the yellow curry with tofu. They provide spice on a scale of 1-5, which I typically get a three (medium spice). Worth a try!
I came to this restaurant as my girlfriend highly recommended. I'm writing this review as I'm eating their delicious food. I'm a vegetarian and not a very big fan of Thai cuisine. But this restaurant made me a fan of Thai food. Awesome taste and excellent and kind staff. Good thing that it's just beside the place i stay. As i was eating, I felt that I owe these guys a review. Amazing job guys. Keep up the good work. I'll highly recommend this to everyone.
I first ate at Bankok City a year ago and it was great! I really liked the Pad Thai and was looking forward to having it again. I don't know what this is, but its not Pad Thai. So disappointing. Unfortunately I ordered Door Dash so I have no recourse. I'm only rating 3 star because the steamed Thai Dumplings were great.
They started out strong with their Thai Dumplings! Came out piping hot and good flavor! Unfortunately that was the highlight. I got the Pad Thai, they don’t ask me what spice level I wanted which is weird. When it came out it was very sweet and there was no pepper on the table that I could add to it. The fried rice was good but the chicken on top was also very very sweet. And finally I got the Tom Kha which is a dish I love very much. Yup, you guessed it! It was also sweet. So food wise it’s very average and too sweet. The service was very nice, super attentive and constantly refilled waters.
So I love Thai food . I asked for very spicy, and instead I got a little spicy with some spices brought to table. Disappointed in portion, and the actual protein. The lady did keep glass of water filled which is a plus. Overall, I've had better Thai food and therfore they only received 3 stars. As the food was just OK. Wasn't nasty but wasn't enough for the price nor spice level not what requested.
food here is a hit or miss. I do truly enjoy the place when the food is good. The calamari that I have ordered was slimy and gooey. May have been a bad batch. But that’s really not why I’m writing this review. Upon reviewing the other reviews, seems like a similar occurrence. But the man working the counter seems to always be in a mood. I hope you happiness ! Truly. It’s not pleasant to come into a business and the first encounter is always bitter. whatever you may be dealing with, I hope you happiness !
Ordered vegetable yellow curry to go. I was disappointed. Had yellow curry but less than a dollar worth of vegetables. They filled half of a small container with the curry and barely was a half meal. For $16 that was not worth it. Location was cozy but outdated. That was not a big issue. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff I don’t recommend based on value
Everything was too sweet for my family's taste. Chicken Satay was just chicken with curry powder. Tom Yum Kung lacked flavor. I wish they put in some more tomatoes and fish sauce. Green curry was too sweet and lacking flavor. Will most likely never return. Now, I understand why there were no other Asian customer in the restaurant.
I had always been a strong advocate of Best Thai for their consistency food quality. Truly disappointed with their extremely poor service and poor food quality. Our server did not show up for the longest time and the food did not come in even after an hour. When we followed up, our appetizer came after our main course COLD. My order of Pad See Eaw was extremely bad. Noodles were sparse and were all stuck in a half cooked way with Tofu all over and sparsely any veggies. Satay chicken is served with broken stick. They don't care. Will not go again.
Bad experience. Always been good and love the steak salad. A friend and I splurged and ordered salads to be delivered. It came all in one bowl and was not really a salad. Had one piece of romaine and a few lettuce pieces. Very disappointing.
Wish I could give zero rating ! Reasons: Service was pathetic. We had to call and ask multiple times for the same stuff. Also It was very hot during the day at noon and we were the only one served water with no ice at all. When we noticed other tables it was all iced water. We spent almost 40 for such service ! I regret going here ! We don't know why at the first place we were treated differently than others 😕
