Norma provided excellent service to our large group! The food was served hot. All the staff was pleasant. Highly recommend!
The food was fresh and awesome only excelled by the waiters, Oscar and Isreal, and Manager, Cesar. We stayed nearly 2 hours enjoying lunch. The music was mesmerizing. Recommend this Manny’s to everyone.
We love coming to Manny's. Israel was our server tonight and we had another great experience. At one point, my mother commented how nice everyone was. It's true, we were greeted with smiles and got a table right away. We were actually taken to a booth, but we preferred a table and were switched without issue. Our orders were perfect even though Israel didn't take any notes!! Glasses kept full, too. Just warm and personable service. Much appreciated. We'll be back!
Great music great service, Mr. Salazar was such a great host for our evening out celebrating my husbands bday. He made the night out extra special. He had fast service and was very attentive.
One of my absolute favorite places to eat. I really like the breakfast on the weekend!
Mannys is a great place to dine , great service , good food . Please come to mannnys in uptown
The food and drinks are always top notch, this visit the music was LOUD! Even my wife, normally not bothered by such, was annoyed. I mentioned it to our waiter, Jesus, who related our complaint to the manager. Instant change to a very comfortable level. Had a very nice conversation with the manager about it afterwards. Kudos to Manny's!
Wonderful experience! Jose was a fantastic server and made the experience awesome. Great food, great atmosphere. We will be back!
Israel was our waiter. He was perfect patient dutiful everything went great because of Israel
Jose Salazar was an awesome server for our meal today. He helped us celebrate one member of our party’s birthday in a very special and fun way! Thank you so much!
Great neighborhood restaurant!!! Israel was incredibly kind and attentive. He made us feel welcome from the start, explained everything patiently, and helped us choose really well.
The food was great here. I love the atmosphere the drinks were good. I highly recommend getting Salazar as your server. He is the real deal.
We were visiting family and unfamiliar with the area. I accidentally placed an online order at the wrong location, then drove to the closet restaurant. The management was so gracious with my mistake- calling the other restaurant to explain, canceling that order, and then recreating my entire order to carry-out. The food was great and all 3 of my kids loved it! Thank you for saving the day and helping us out during the busy holiday season!
Love the wonde4ful customer service. We felt like a couple of princesses. Thank you Jose Salazar for taking such great care of us. Oh, and the food was wonderful as well.
This restaurant is amazing. Their steaks are so tender and juicy. A lot of times you don’t find that at Mexican Restaurant. We’ve been here twice now and all four of us try different things and it’s fantastic.
I love this location the restaurant is always nice n clean n the staff is friendly ask for Jose Salazar he was awesome at doing his job everything was perfect n the drinks were amazing thanx for a great job
Music a bit loud. Food had great taste. Jose S was excellent very informative being our first time here.
I love Manny’s! Everyone is wonderful! Isreal is the best waiter ever!
We loved Jose Cordoba’s service!!!! We recommend him and the place was amazing! Great food! We loved everything and the flan! The staff very friendly and Manager was attentive.
We have been going here for years! Food is fantastic (recommend the cowboy nachos or the brisket tacos - but honestly everything is good!) and the people are what keep us coming back. Amazing service! Shoutout to Manny!
Great dinner tonight! All the food was delicious! Our server José S was excellent - thank you for the recommendation of the Cinco Leches cake; it was light and the perfect sweetness. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. We will be back. Also, we ordered drinks and dessert, so the $30-50 per person I selected was because of that. You can definitely have a great meal for $15-$20 dollars per person.
Jose Salazar was an amazing waiter. We got an outside table, the atmosphere was amazing, the service allowed for all of us to have an enjoyable time while talking to family.
Our waiter Jose Salazar has made our 1st visit memorable. He has such excellent customer service skills and is very conscious of the customer and their needs. We will be back definitely because of this kind of service.
Roxy was an excellent server and very friendly! This was our first time eating here and the food was very tasty. I ordered the ENCHILADA'S ARRANCHERAS and I would suggest it to others. We went on a Sunday afternoon and received a table fairly easily.
Great Tex-Mex restaurant. The food was very good and the staff is wonderful. Such a cute place and they have patio seating.
Manny’s Tex Mex is a great place to go for a casual meal with friends or family. The food is always delicious and the service is friendly. I especially love the fajitas and the margaritas. The atmosphere is also very inviting, with a warm and festive vibe. I would definitely recommend Tex Mex to anyone looking for a great Tex-Mex meal.
We went on national margarita day and it was crazyyyyyy. Lots of people had same idea, lol :) Thankfully, our host (young kid curly hair? M something?) was excellent! He navigated the tumultuous waters of the host stand and gave us an accurate wait time. Even checked on us during our meal and coordinated an add’l salsa, LOL. Once we were seated, the food was IMMACULATE! Great food and drinks and vibes!
Excellent food. Especially the queso!!! And our server ( Gerardo) was.espeially kind and attentive to all our requests. And we have some leftovers to get to enjoy it tomorrow.
I have been wanting to try this place and finally got to. The chef special chicken was amazing and I ordered a single side taco and it was so good. The chicken was juicy and flavorful.
My husband and I truly had a wonderful experience! We visited the bar and were warmly welcomed. Many was our server, and he went above and beyond to ensure we felt taken care of. His thoughtful drink suggestions really enhanced our time there. I wholeheartedly recommend giving his bar experience a try—you won’t regret it!
The pollo poblano was delicious. Just randomly search for a restaurant in the area and it turned out to be amazing.
5 Stars – A Must-Try Tex-Mex Gem! Our dinner at Manny’s Uptown Tex-Mex on Mockingbird Lane was nothing short of fantastic! I went with my family of five around 7 PM and we were seated immediately — a pleasant surprise for a busy evening. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, perfect for both families and date nights. Our drinks and appetizers arrived quickly, and the queso was delicious! What really stood out was the service. The manager personally came by our table, greeted us warmly, refilled our drinks, stirred and served the queso onto our plates, and took the time to chat with us about what we liked. He even recommended entrees for my husband and me — and let me tell you, he nailed it. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From start to finish, everything was top-tier: the food, the ambiance, and especially the service. I highly recommend Manny’s if you’re looking for a memorable Tex-Mex experience. We’ll definitely be back!
I ordered beef fajitias salad, mexican shrimp ceviche and chicken flautas. Its was delicious and food was plenty served by a nice waiter. I got free salas and chip to snack until my food came. They have patio/bar seats with fans, and outdoor lights or you can be seated inside the resturant. The place is clean and service was fast. I love it!
This place was a pleasant surprise! The food and service were excellent. We can't wait for the new one to open on our side of town.
Manny’s Uptown is always fabulous! We always ask for Israel as our server. He provides 5-Star service every time! He makes a top notch Coconut Margarita! As long as he is here, I will keep going back!
This place has fantastic lunch options at an affordable price, with fresh, made-to-order ingredients that truly make a difference. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly, always going above and beyond for their guests. It’s one of those spots you can’t help but return to. A must-stop whenever you’re in the DFW area. This review was made in connection with a toast promotion
Had not been here in a while but had a great patio dining experience. Sergio Q was our waiter and did a really great job taking care of us. He was attentive and got everything right ensuring a top-notch dining experience.
Don’t sleep on Mannys!!! The food is amazing and the menu has some many great options to choose from. The staff is phenomenal - every single person was so nice, welcoming, and friendly. It feels like you’re a part of their family. The inside is roomy and the bar is a good size. The patio has plenty of seating as well. Can’t believe we’ve lived in the neighborhood so long and never visited. Will be back regularly for sure!!!!!
Jose Campos is an exceptional waiter. Not only was he attentive, he created an experience for us. He paid close attention to what we wanted and helped us create a customized dish. We truly appreciate Jose and we will ask for him during our next visit. The mango 🥭 margarita he recommended was wonderful, too.
I totally LOVE this place!! Great food and ambiance!!! Friendly and very helpful staff!! Huge shout out to Jose Salazar without him, this establishment would not be the same!!! He is very friendly, professional, and very welcoming and very knowledgeable. He makes my day every time I visit this location. Please keep up the great work. Lastly, the place is very clean and well kept!! I really hope this review gets to the right person so they can let them know how Awesome they are at this restaurant.
Ask for Sandra, the best waitress ever. Basics are great but branch out and try some of the other dishes- guiso de puerco is delicious. Don’t forget the margaritas. Try a flight. Updated - at night, ask for Israel. Carne Asada was excellent. Borracho beans (bean soup) was amazing. Next time, dessert!
My family recently ordered to-go food from Manny’s Uptown Tex-Mex and we loved everything we ordered. I especially liked that they offer vegetarian and vegan options. The food tasted well made and, when we went to pick up our to-go order, the staff acted nice and the restaurant looked clean and well kept. For the convenient location and quality food, I find Manny’s Uptown Tex-Mex worth it!
Having lunch. I haven't eaten at this place in years because they moved and I didn't know if they went out of business or moved. Ran across it by accident. Having the brisket flautas. They are so good. The rice and beans are perfectly flavored. The sweet tea is perfect. The salsa served with the chips has a stronger than usual garlic flavor which I love. If you're around here give them a try I don't think you will be disappointed.
I’ve done breakfast, lunch, & dinner at this location. The food is pretty good. The service is good but can be slow. The atmosphere is always good. It’s kid friendly which is always a good thing for parents. The bar is nice to sit at, especially when the weather is nice & all the windows are open.
This is a nice tex-mex place. Food was average quality in my opinion. Everything was hot and fresh, just lacking anything to give it an extra kick. Our waiter was really slow even when there was almost no one in the restaurant. The chips are too heavy for my liking but the Salsa was good. Not too spicy or anything. The enchiladas were kinda dry, and the cheese fries had pieces of bacon that were kinda chewy. Still a good restaurant overall, just not great.
In for a bite of Tex-Mex and a couple of cocktails and it definitely hit the spot. We had a piña colada and a mojito and both were well balanced. The mojito had this coconut taste to it that really made it delicious. The piña colada was well made with a nice kick of rum and nice and sweet. For dinner we ordered the jumbo chipotle shrimp and the enchiladas arancheras. The shrimp was very flavorful and not spicy which is what you might expect with chipotle covered shrimp. The side of garlic butter was also a perfect dipping sauce. The enchiladas were 2 cheese enchiladas(onion inside) and topped with Chile con Carne and fajita meat. This plate was fantastic. The beef on top was tender and cooked really well. I opted for the green rice vs standard rice and beans. Stop in and enjoy a tasty cocktail and an awesome meal. I think you'll really like it.
Saturday Brunch and I was promptly seated by the host and I was quickly given some tasty chips and salsa before my server arrived. I decided to try their avocado toast with addition of 2 fried eggs and sautéed mushrooms and spinach. I was disappointed that the avocado was not spread to the edges of the nice soft texas toast and it also had an unusual aftertaste that I could not place. However, I did enjoy my meal and service was fast and friendly. Would definitely return to try some of their tex mex items.
Nice place for a Tex-Mex fix. Portions are a bit smaller but tasty food. Cannot recommend the Tortilla soup though- no flavor and only a couple pieces of chicken. Service was attentive though from our young male waiter- forgot his name. We will be back!
I wanted to take my granddaughter somewhere different for our afternoon last Saturday. It was 2pm so I figured this shopping center wouldn't be too busy and they weren't. A clean dining room with bold colors here & there, greenery in the right places, but they had the music way too loud for an almost empty room. When I finally asked them to turn it down, they did immediately. Our food was so fresh! I didn't want rice and beans, so I ordered a chicken enchilada, a soft cheese taco and a crunchy taco. I never eat all my food, but I forced myself to this time - that tells you how good it was. I could have used a little less sauce on the enchiladas but they were very good. The shrimp taco was fresh, the shrimp was full of flavor and a good size, I loved that it was cut up into small bites. All ingredients were served on the side, so I was able to choose how much to add to each bite. It was delightful. My granddaughter ordered the Yoselina's plate - a beautiful plate and she loved it. Her taco was perfect - crunchy with fresh ingredients. Our server was professional, friendly and brought our food out fresh and hot. She checked on us a couple of times and asked if we wanted anything else - good thing, because we wanted some dessert! The only disappointment of the day, the sopapillas were bland and we both tasted a hint of not-so-fresh-oil they were cooked in. The butter pats were almost frozen, so useless and didn't taste fresh. The syrup wasn't too bad, but I won't be ordering this dessert again. Overall, a nice place, friendly staff, good food - ok by me!
My experience was so-so. It wasn’t necessarily bad, it just could have been better. Let’s start with the chips and salsa. The salsa is cold, which is fine, but hot in my opinion is better. Hot salsa shows attention to detail. Cold salsa is a predictor of a subpar experience. It was served in a small, shallow dish that I think could double as a water bowl for a small reptile. I had a hard time even scooping the salsa it was so shallow. The chips were good. They’re served in a metal cylinder with a waffle cone design on the outside. Its cute, and I commented such, but soon realized it’s not practical. There were a bunch of broken chips under a facade of full-sized chips. I quickly ran out of both salsa and chips. I ordered sweet tea. I left with diabetes. It was too sweet. My server did substitute unsweet tea at refill. Thanks, Emmanuel C. I ordered the Enchiladas Poblanas. I received 2 enchiladas, some green rice, and black beans. I ate it all. I have to say, though, that while the rice & beans were ok, the enchiladas left alot to be desired. The green sauce was thick and pasty and could have used some salt and depth of flavor. The chicken inside was just that - chicken. Just shredded dark meat with nary a complimentary flavor. No seasoning, sauce, onions, cheese, peppers, nothing. I give my entree a 5/10. The only problem I have with service is Emmanuel C. kept calling me Miss. Miss Miss Miss. Sir. SIR. I am 45 years old. It bothers some people, doesn’t bother other people. It bothers me to no end. Ma’am. MA’AM. I’m not 12. Thank you. Atmosphere and decor were good. My only note is that maybe they could bring the lights down a smidge. It’s not an interrogation. It’s dinner. Being that it was dinner I was surprised (not really) that they weren’t busy. Oh, I almost forgot: when I unwrapped my silverware I found I had a dirty napkin. 🤮 Overall, this place was forgettable. In a major Texas city like Dallas there’s are 3 types of places that can’t afford to be mediocre: 1. Taco joints 2. BBQ places 3. Mexican/Tex-Mex places Bless your heart.
We had it delivered. We ordered queso and the chips were not in the bag. The manager essentially said they don’t forget chips and that we weren’t being truthful. The door dash bag was stapled shut! He said we could come get chips. How inconvenient! I went and picked up chips n Monday, so we could have our queso. Very unacceptable. May not be coming back to Manny’s.
Manny's uptown tex-mex delivered with their salsa, margaritas, and the vegan options but overall the food was lacking. Upon entering we experienced great service and were quickly seated and had salsa brought to us. The salsa was the bomb 💣💣. We ordered a couple Cadillac margaritas and wow were they strong. Our side of guac was pretty good but nothing to write home about. Our entrees; vegan poblano relleno, breakfast chicken enchiladas and the kids enchiladas were all bland. Our side such as the rice and beans were all good. Overall we may give them another shot because of the great service in hopes that the chef will have on their A game. Food: 3/5 Service: 4.5/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Parking: 4/5
Food quality has gone way down in the past few months. No chicken in the bowls of tortilla soup. Both my husband and I ordered a bowl of what we thought would be Chicken Tortilla soup. We each received nice sized bowls of broth with tortilla strips, 1 slice of avacado, onion and a chunk of white cheese at the bottom, but only 3 small cubes of chicken, Very disappointing. Don't recommend their soup, it does not look anything like the picture, and there are many local restaurants with far better Chicken Tortilla Soup. Also, they did not have napkins tonight, and we asked our server and another server 3 times for napkins, they finally brought us cocktail napkins. REALLY poor service. It wasn't very busy, many empty tables (which is normal for Sunday night because we go there at least once a month). We will rethink Manny's in the future.
The restaurant was very clean with a nice dining room and bar. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I had the fish tacos and the person with me got steak nachos. The fish was well-cooked, but the tacos overall were bland and lacked real flavor. The rice and beans weren’t great maybe made with a heavy vegetable oil that gave them an odd taste and the cabbage slaw was bit wilted and not very fresh. The steak nachos were just okay. Salsa was tasty, and the environment was enjoyable, but we’ve had the same dishes at other Tex-Mex spots that were much better.
This place is typical of TexMex, absolutely nothing special about this restaurant...painfully unremarkable. The front door faces west and if you are unlucky and seated facing the door the last hour of sunlight, you will be blinded every time the door opens, because there isn't a second set of doors. There was food crust on the menu and my table wobbled. I did, however, like the partly-lit faux-neon Tequila sign.
We frequent this place for lunch about once a week. The food is fine but there's something with the chicken. I ordered a plain chicken breast this time and it gave me bad heartburn and lots of gas. I don't have this problem when I get chicken from anywhere else, genuinely curious why their chicken always leaves me feeling sick. Everyone who works here has been great to us though and the rest of the food is fine
Brown guacamole not fresh and small quantity with a wooden spoon that had not been used to mix our “freshly made tableside” guacamole. Ordered a plain margarita with a blanco tequila and was charged for a top shelf margarita. Manager said he could not help and reduced our bill by only $3. Inaccurate pricing. Their menus are misleading. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place with their misleading practices
WOW! This place is awful! I’ve never had a restaurant experience this bad. The waiter (Emmanuel), the service, the cold food, the manager...It was ALL bad. We sent back our cold spinach enchiladas (with burnt corn tortillas) and the manager thanked us and said we were not the 1st to complain about the tortillas today. So we requested our enchiladas to be remade on flour tortillas. But they brought back the SAME enchiladas with the same burnt CORN tortillas!! They refused to comp any of the bill even though We DIDN’T EAT. It ruined our girls day out :(( I’m in shock…. We have referred sooo many family members to this place so they just lost thousands of $$$!!!
Don't eat here!!!! Dogs are not welcome on the patio outside. We won't spend another dime at this unfriendly place. The food is not that good.
Went for a Saturday night dinner with my wife. Everything was going great. Got seated and ordered. When we got our food my order was not what I ordered. Immediately told the waitress and all she did was walk off. So my wife has to eat by herself. Now she's pissed at me because of your crap service.
This was mine and my BFF’s (at least once a month) meeting spot for margaritas and lunch. We always order top shelf skinny spicy margaritas that WERE divine. And also USED TO BE the best lunch you could find in this area. Our favorite waiter left to work somewhere else. And now we understand why! This place has gone downhill! Our last two visits have been appalling. The food was cold and left under a heat lamp for who knows how long. The margaritas were terrible at $15 each. My daughter‘s soda had zero carbonation and after asking for refills twice, still never get one! This was so disappointing. They refused to comp anything even though we ate NOTHING! Truly Unbelievable! I worked in the service industry for more than five years and totally understand You cannot control the kitchen staff. But the waiter, Emmanuel, was terrible as well. We were speaking to him about the cold plate and he walked away mid sentence. Did not offer to replace the food and even the manager didn’t offer any recourse. DO NOT EAT HERE! There are 2 other amazing Mexican restaurants within a 5 minutes drive. We will be going there. (Wish I had gotten pics of the food, but was so shocked I didn’t get a chance to. If you could see the pictures, you would never eat here either)
Me and my Gf went yesterday night. First time trying this place. We saw it did closed @11 pm. We got there around 9:45pm. We got welcome in a very well manner and friendly. Our waiter Israel (if I remember) he was very attentive and friendly. We order our drinks and they were alright. Too strong and no flavor though. Presentation on plates are good, fancy and looks good. It came down to my GF trying her Al Carbon Tacos. She had her meat medium rare. She took a bite and I saw her reaction. Blood was still dripping from the meat. Looks like a rare stake just flipped like 1 min on each side and squished to be rushed out. We didn't want to say anything as we saw the time and it was getting late. But, I'd say try harder on delivering quality tasteful food and drinks and not on quantity to get customers out. $100+ to having a bad first experience. Would I come back. 🤷♂️
Horrible experience. I waited over 30 minutes for my to-go order and no one acknowledged me at all. I was completely ignored the entire time. No updates, no communication. I eventually left without my order. Extremely frustrating and unacceptable customer service.
