Beautiful views for our Valentines dinner! We sat on the patio outside. As the sun went down we had the heaters and the staff brought a lap blanket. It was a lovely night. The food was delicious. Tuna tartar and ravioli starters, lamb chops and filet mignon for main course, we ordered all three sides (truffle mac n cheese, potatoes, and brussel sprouts) to try. Dessert was creme brulee and beignets that were perfection! We also had a complimentary fry trio and truffle butter roll with a glass of champagne or sparkling cider. The experience was magical and the service was 5 star.

Celebrating our first anniversary at Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina was nothing short of unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel special with warm congratulations, setting the tone for a truly memorable evening. The romantic outdoor terrace was the perfect setting. We ordered the steak trio with grilled shrimp and broccolini on the side. While the complimentary trio of fries didn’t quite impress, the bread with truffle butter completely stole the show—crispy outside, soft inside, and utterly indulgent. The steak trio was more than just a meal; it was an experience. Tasting and comparing three different cuts of beef was exciting, and the American Wagyu in particular was exceptional. Portions were generous, perfect for sharing. An elegant restaurant that delivers not just food, but the feeling of a truly special occasion.

last Friday afternoon... I played golf Laguna Niguel. Monarch Beach Golf & Resort. 7pm I was hungry... I found nice restaurant nere... It was Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina Restaurant in Astoria Hotel !!! New fancy interior Very Good Foods & Drinks with nice people !!! Restaurant Reseption people was so kind. Restaurant servers are professional also. I will be back for steaks!!!

I used to be a skeptic about those chain steak houses, believing they were overpriced and couldn’t cook steaks to perfection. However, I was pleasantly surprised this time. Every dish was delicious, and the steaks were cooked to perfection. The smoked ones were particularly delightful. The service was excellent, and we had a great time overall.

Friday afternoon, I played golf mornach beach golf resort, I need dinner place nere. Take Valet ticket, just walk in to Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina Restaurant. Restaurant reception people so kind. That night, there is big conference. Almost full was... Whatever, I had sitting in the bar. Foods was wonderful, people was enjoy Friday dinner. I will be go again for wonderful foods, drinks & people.

The restaurant is sitting at a perfect location to watch sunset. The service was great and every staff member was just genuinely happy and knowledgeable about the food they serve. The food portion was perfect, not too big not too small.

My husband and I came here to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and from beginning to end it was fantastic. We were given a complimentary glass of sparkling wine to toast the occasion, which was a very nice touch. All of the staff are exceptionally nice and attentive. The food was delicious, particularly the truffle brioche roll, the wagyu petite filet and the crispy brussels sprouts. They have an extensive wine menu, with 800 different bottles to choose from and a generous cocktail menu as well, which can be made the “old school” or the “new school” way. I recommend the new school Bee’s Knees cocktail, especially if you like smoky drinks. All in all it was a stellar experience and was the perfect way to end the day. We will definitely be back to celebrate our next very special occasion.

This is my third Bourbon location experience after DC and Miami. I think this was the best one by far. What makes it particularly good, surprisingly, were the desserts! They were exceptional!! Tip: try to get there as the sun is going down, or else you get direct sunlight in the dining room and it can get both bright and hot.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Bourbon Steak Orange County. The atmosphere is classy and the restaurant itself is beautiful. There is a lot of attention to detail here and I certainly appreciate it. I had not been exposed to really good steak before, so we ordered the sample plate, and it was really fun trying all the different types of steak. I will say that my husband and I have decided that we aren't refined enough to appreciate a really expensive steak over a cheaper one, but it was still a great experience. Our favorite dish that we ordered was the truffle mac and cheese. It was THE BEST macaroni and cheese we have ever had. We also ordered some fabulous cocktails. They have a traditional cocktail menu and a less traditional one which is fun. During our dinner the waiter came out with a few small dishes that the chef was trying out and we really enjoyed that! I don't think we have had a similar experience anywhere else. Bourbon Steak's food is absolutely delicious, and the experience is absolutely worth the price! If you are staying at the Waldorf Astoria, or just in the area, definitely get a reservation at Bourbon Steak Orange County.

When dining in at Bourbon Steak Orange County, you are in for a real treat. The restaurant is located just to the left when entering the hotel lobby of Waldorf Astoria Monarch - Dana Point. We had an 8 pm reservation, being sat at a table that wasn't our favorite, not much of an ocean view unless you were on the outside balcony. We have an amazing dining experience from start to finish. The service and staff were amazing! Melissa, our waitress, is extremely professional and knowledgeable! If I could give more than 5 stars to her, I would. The food presentation and flavor were great. Wagyu beef is highly recommended. This is a place to go any time you want a great steak paired with excellent service. Not cheap but worth it.

Second time at this location and it was even better than I remembered! Excellent service and tried the special trio to share with wagyu rib cap that was some of the best I’ve had, ever. The caviar service was great to start but a lot of food and you need to be sharing. Highly recommend dinner here whether for a special occasion or just a nice night out.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The service and staff were amazing! In my family’s opinion, it was the single best dining experience we have ever had. From when we entered the Restaraunt, the hostess sat us promptly at a very nice table with a beautiful view of the coast. We were then welcomed by the maitre’d, Lyle, who again was outstanding. He came back a couple different times throughout the evening to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. When Isabella, our waitress came out, we knew she was going to be perfect! Every question we had about an item on the menu, she answered and would give helpful insight into other options if we couldn’t come to an exact decision on an item. Whether it was a drink, appetizer or our entree, she helped us pick out the perfect meal. If there is such thing as the “perfect” culinary experience, this was it. Chef Chris and his staff really outdid themselves and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience at Bourbon. We will definitely be back.

About a week and a half ago I met with my manager and was informed that I had been promoted!! We had a lot going on last weekend and this, but we finally made it out to a celebration dinner. This place did NOT disappoint. My husband loves his old fashioneds so he started off with a "new school" version of an old fashioned and I got myself a fruity little mocktail that was pineapple juice with strawberries and ginger beer topped with freshly grated nutmeg (I do not like the taste of alcohol). They started us off by serving us a component of the chef tomato bisque with a drizzle of chile oil in the cutest little espresso cup. It was 10 million degrees, but it was creamy and delightful! The sweet/savory was a perfect flavor to start the evening off. They also brought out a trio of French fries. (See posted photo) Left side is furikake fries with a sesame mayo dipping sauce. Probably both of our favorites. The sesame oil in the mayo was so delicious and really shined with the furikake fries pairing! The middle set of fries were Parmesan fries with a truffle cream dipping sauce, which were seasoned amazingly and the truffle flavor levels of the sauce were absolutely perfect! The right set were house fries with a yuzu ketchup dipping sauce. The yuzu ketchup threw us off because it worked. It just worked so well! They had a special off-menu appetizer offering, today. The restaurant has its own private fisherman who caught a 98 pound tuna on Friday and they were serving toro from this fresh catch! We were originally going to go with the "instant bacon" appetizer, but once they told us about this, we were both like, "Yes." It was marinated in a housemade ponzu topped with a generous pile of green onions and freshly shaved black truffles. Phenomenal. Melt in your mouth delicious tenderness. You could really taste the freshness! Following that, we got a bread roll that rocked our world. The roll had salt crystals on the top and brushed with butter, and they were STUFFED with truffle butter. No joke, both of us had butter exploding out of our rolls with each bite! It was messy, but soooo good!!! For our sides we got the truffle mac and cheese (phenomenal) and the roasted fingerling potatoes with bacon and cheddar. We are pretty sure they boiled those potatoes in butter, because the buttery flavor was throughout the potatoes lol! My husband ordered the 6oz Mishima reserve Wagyu filet mignon crusted with blue cheese for his entree and I ordered the 8oz Snake Rivers Farm Eye of Ribeye with a king crab Oscar accompaniment for my entree. Both were amazing, cooked to perfection, seasoned to perfection, and we both preferred our chosen cuts of meat over the other's (as it should be). DESSERT!!!! We ordered the basque cheesecake. Holy sweet mother of all things creamy and delicious... I can't even describe. The sweetness was perfect. Not too sweet. The custard texture was smooth and not too thick. The strawberry sauce was sweet at all the perfect levels. Despite being beyond full, my husband and I demolished this slice together. Hated ourselves afterwards, but enjoyed the ride to self-hate. To end the night, our check was delivered with these dark chocolate covered caramel squares. My husband is not a fan of dark chocolate (I am, though) and even he enjoyed these chocolates!

Superb, every single staff member is nice and friendly, accommodating to our anniversary dinner. We only ordered a little bit cause our stomach can only take so much. Oh my, the banana souffle is really good.It's worth the wait. The beignet was fluffy, and the chocolate dip was cherry on top. Wagyu and dry aged were our favorite with our family.

Truly a phenomenal experience last night. Food was fabulous and the staff were truly exceptional. We had a couple drinks at the bar while we waited for our table and the barman and hostesses truly made our experience a joy - the dining experience went far and above our expectations. We were floored by the kindness and thoughtfulness of Lyle and the team. Cannot recommend Bourbon Steak OC highly enough - we will absolutely be coming back!

We had the most wonderful sunset dinner at Bourbon Steak tonight! The food is always delicious! But what we love the most is the outstanding staff, they make the experience so much fun, they are the gold standard and our server Isabel was beyond amazing...please ask for her if you dine there. Also the manager Lyle is the best as well! We can't wait to come back!

Service was good. Food was ok. I don’t know if the value was there. I got the prime ribeye and unfortunately, I’ve had better than many restaurants nearby. It was very nice of them to bring out some complementary fries and bread. The bread was the highlight Overall, good time with friends.

We visited on a night when the restaurant was packed with convention visitors. Our med rare ribeye arrived med plus. Our sea bass was overcooked and didn't taste fresh. The noise level was deafening and way too loud for my elderly parents. Given the high prices I'm not sure we'll give it another try.

Great but… I am not going to review the food or the atmosphere today. In fact the quality of the dishes are top notch and very delicious. However, I am very disappointed at the greediness we have experienced when we had dinner on October 6 to celebrate my wife’s birthday! We celebrated my birthday there a year ago and they brought a full dessert free of charge at the end of our meal. This time that didn’t happen. We ordered 2 desserts and they charged us for both of them. They brought a cheap mini ice cream cone with sprinkles on top and a candle! I wouldn’t expect this level of greediness at a high end restaurant with dishes starting at $80 bucks and minimum bill of $300 for a good dinner! Very disappointing!

We went for supposedly a elegant dinner for my girlfriend's birthday. What we got was being moved to a quieter room which was then changed when a couple with a new crying baby was seated next to our table. When we ordered cocktails one of our party ordered wine which wasn't served until 10-,15 minutes after the cocktaild arrived. The waiter for the room spent more time looking at his computer terminal than looking after guests. Service between courses was very long. The food was generally good, but not at the level to be expected for the high prices. This has turned from a very nice restaurant into just another high priced Hilton hotel place for tourists
