Avis sur Blaze Pizza Davis
The staff is always great and is always very welcoming. Pizza always is cooked to perfection when i ask for well done.
An absolute staple. I've been here for so many club fundraisers and the staff here deliver every time, even when they're understaffed and super busy. The pricing is very accessible, too, with $14 + tax getting you as many toppings as you could possibly want. (Definitely get basil on your pizza.)
Blaze has our favorite GF pizza of any pizza place. We love our Davis Blaze location. Kevin always makes our pizza perfectly! He has great attention to detail and always gets it precise when we want to do half and half (which is great because if my son gets mushrooms on his half... I won't hear the end of it LOL). We love that the pizza is fast, even when they are busy. Thanks Blaze and our Davis Blaze pizza crew!! The restaurant is fairly disability accessible with flat floors, wide aisles, and low tables with movable chairs so that they can be accessed for people with mobility devices. The TV always has subtitles on. My two complaints for accessibility are the front door is heavy and doesn't have the automatic door button, and sometimes the music is a little loud, which is tricky for people who are hard of hearing (especially since it is already echo-y in there due to the high ceilings).
Staff is friendly and always get my order right. I come here for lunch all the time. Best deal in town. Monday - Friday $7.99 Half Pizza and a Drink.
From the moment we stepped inside, we were genuinely impressed by the exceptional service and warm hospitality. Ofelia, Silence, and Joseph went out of their way to make our visit truly memorable. Their attentiveness, friendliness, and sincere care for our experience did not go unnoticed. The pizza was simply outstanding. Each bite was packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients, and the crust was a perfect blend of crispy and chewy. It’s not often you find a place where both the food and the service shine equally, but this one absolutely delivers. If you're craving delicious pizza in a welcoming, friendly environment, this spot is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be returning!
Expect at least a 10-15 minute wait for walk-in orders, even if there's no line in the store. I went around lunchtime on a weekend and staff were preparing a fair amount of take-out orders. I ordered a 1-top pizza (one topping - $9) with garlic pesto sauce, mozzarella cheese, and mushrooms. Despite the number of orders they were juggling, staff were very friendly and took the time to give me personalized suggestions about how much sauce to add as well as generously sprinkle on mushrooms. I like the customization options here, there are many toppings (sausage, peppers, garlic, etc.) and sauces to choose from. The oven nicely crisped the crust but slightly burnt the edges. There is a lot of indoor and outdoor (shaded) seating available. I enjoyed eating at Blaze and would recommend it as a great, fun option for a personal-sized pizza you can cater to your tastes. Just be prepared to wait a while during peak hours.
So, I looked up the restaurant under a friend's advisement because he used to live in town. I looked at the menu on Google and saw the 2 topping pizza + a soda for $10. Upon arriving, I was informed that they don't have that deal any more but we're kind enough to accommodate me and my client. I ordered the sausage and meatball as my toppings. The food was good I would definitely come back
Pizza chain that is popular with the UC Davis students, this pizza restaurant located in downtown Davis offers a wide variety of pizza combos, as well as build-your-own options, half pizzas, weekend specials, and a few salad items. Large and airy interior. Efficient service. Street parking can be hard to find, but several parking lots within a 5 minute walk.
The pizza is decent, they do a good thing crust. Service is efficient too. The atmosphere is too loud for my taste - that's the only drawback.
My only issue with Blaze is their ‘keto’ crust pizza. I’m giving them 4 stars because I honestly believe their build your own is the best way to eat pizza around Davis. With a huge range of toppings it’s pretty friendly to anybody who could walk in the door, they offer gluten free crust and will always ask if you need a change of gloves which is great for someone who’s celiac. They offer vegan cheese and vegan meatballs as well as a huge array of veggie toppings, olives jalepenos, chopped garlic, roasted garlic cloves, onion, mushrooms, a seasonal veggie - I’ve seen it be squash or Brussels (you’ll be amazed how good they are on pizza) peppers, arugula to finish - there’s a tonne of options here! They offer four sauces, classic and spicy marinara, cream sauce and garlic pesto. - LOVE the garlic pesto A variety of meats - sausage, pepperoni, ham, bacon, meatballs, chicken And plenty of cheese - highly recommend getting both the fresh mozzarella and the shredded. They also offer gorgonzola, feta, ricotta and Parmesan I’m sure I’m missing some toppings and I’m sure they change from time to time too! But I think you’ll gather that you won’t be short of options here! And then there’s the Keto Crust - I did a really detailed review of this for my blog myfairfitness so if you’re curious on my full thoughts on ingredients to after effects feel free to check it out! I think it’s too much to include on a review of blaze as a whole. But what I will say is if you’re strict keto the ingredients aren’t friendly, if you’re just trying to stay low on carbs it’s fine. The texture is ok if it’s anyway over cooked the cauliflower in it turns bitter, you can definitely make a better Keto Crust at home. It’s crispy and a little smaller, not worth the extra dollars in my opinion... and the effects it had on my stomach were not good. It’s nice they do the option but they could have done it better.
I usually love blaze pizza, and am not one to leave a review, but my most recent visit has prompted me to this point. I ordered a one topping with spinach and there was barely any even on it. For a one topping the least you can do is ensure that there is a satisfactory amount available. When I asked for more, they said I needed to pay 50cents extra…… outside of that they mispelled my name after directly spelling it out for them and they undercooked the pie. I understand this is an establishment run on college students, but this stuff seems like a bare minimum. I’ll think twice before coming back here to one of my old go-tos.
I've been to Blaze Pizza a few times and I usually find it satisfactory enough. I'd give it a higher rating but there have been a few recurring mistakes, like having the edge of the crust charred to the point that it becomes charcoal. Also the "grilled chicken" is more like boiled chicken or, to be more precise, the canned chicken you find in the supermarket. Besides those two things everything else was ok. Also I always find it very enjoyable to see how they make the pizza in front of me.
I used to really like Blaze Pizza and ordered from them many times, but my recent experiences have been very disappointing.😭😭😭 The crust is not “nicely charred” — it’s clearly burnt, with blackened, bitter edges (I’ve taken photos). What’s even worse is that the pizza is often runny in the middle, as if it wasn’t fully cooked. The dough and toppings don’t set properly, and the texture is just bad. This has happened multiple times in a row, and the quality is no longer what it used to be. I also think Blaze is a bit overpriced for what it is, I always order through DoorDash.
Ordered the gluten free pizza with vegan cheese due to dietary restrictions. The gluten free crust wasn’t bad but the vegan cheese was awful. Very slimy and sticks to your teeth. Wouldn’t recommend. Additionally, customer service is almost nonexistent. If you try to call them, an automated message directs you to order from the website and it’s impossible to talk to a staff member over the phone. Very inconvenient when you have customer service questions.
The biggest problem I had with this place was how their dough was made. They press the dough which is so wrong. Even Dominos hand tosses their pizza. Anyways the dough doesn't matter if the taste is good except it wasn't. Pizza had no flavor at all and toppings were very scant. I can see that people like to build their own pizzas but I went with the premade version and it still did not meet expectations. We dined in and there were no utensils or plates for us to eat with or extra condiments.
Me & my mom went here the other day. The food was yummy, we both liked our food. But the atmosphere was off - putting. The place was empty, no music playing. Completely silent, the employees didn't greet us or anything. And when we went to sit down they kept staring at us / clearly making remarks. The only thing wrong with this experience was their attitude unfortunately. Just Very unwelcoming.
I planned a nice date for my girlfriend and I this Wednesday. It’s hard for us to find the time to go out on a date, but we found the time. We get to Blaze and we get greeted and then silence from the employees for 10 minutes straight. They obviously didn’t want us in there. My girlfriend and I were very patient and didn’t even ask about the wait (p.s. the restaurant was empty). We just ended up leaving. We left quietly and this review is my little tantrum 🧎♂️I was stocked to use my free pizza reward too :(
Got some lazy people in there. They don’t wash their hands before putting gloves. They don’t ask if any sauces. And if you do ask for it they’ll have you open the box for them so they can put it on there. Ridiculous.
I ordered a pizza at David ca 212 f st. And asked for a pepperoni sausage pizza and was given a mushroom and olive pizza I didn’t see the pizza until I got home. I am unable to eat this pizza due to my allergies. I am very upset with my order and would like to get a response back to fix this. I attempt to call as soon as I saw this and received no answer. Please help :(
