amazingly good tacos! first time trying and very satisfied! salsa is delicious as well. definitely best taco place in denton area! 😋
Breakfast tacos were on point. AMAZING TORTILLAS. Handmade and fluffy. Get extra. Thank me later.
Absolutely love Casa Galaviz! My favorite has to be the huevos rancheros! The salsa is served warm and typically best poured over the eggs. Toss in the fried potatoes, retried beans and the homemade flour tortillas and it’s absolutely incredible! This place has been here 34 years and it’s been amazing every time! Love this place and will always keep going back!
Great family environment. The breakfast tacos are amazing. All items are home made with love you can taste. I love how the owner greets everyone by name.

If you're serious about food, their barbacoa is the most tender, flavorful meat you'll ever out in your mouth, and tortillas are made by hand in front of your very eyes! Hats off to Joe, Elisabeth and family for consistent, pure deliciousness!
This place has been in business for 30+ years, its our local fav for breakfast tacos, and they are the best, especially the June Bug tacos (beef carnitas in gravy, a house specialty , ask the owners' story behind it). 2-3 of thoses might last me the whole day. On fresh, hand made tortillas too! But like a lot of good, old skool restaurants, when they run out, they run out. This is the way are, early bird gets the worm, the best traditional/historic tacos joints are just like that throughout the state, so ignore most of the bad reviews, because alotta folks complain about this, but if you go after 12 noon, theres a good chance they will be out of food. Its just the way local taco joints are...so get up early and get your Casa Galaviz tacos, ese!!
Literally the best breakfast tacos I have ever had. I go at least 2, 3 times a week. The tortillas are handmade to perfection. Great ppl. Family orientated. Joe is an awesome dude. If you love authentic mexican food, this is the spot !!
I've been coming here on and off for about three years now and I must say that the food is great! No one else in town still makes homemade fresh flour tortillas. Literally fresh flour tortillas. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won't be disappointed. Also the owner Joe is one of those special kind of breed of people that remembers their customer's first name! That in itself is impressive. Thank you Joe for always being cool and easy going. That combination of work ethic is hard to come by.
I come here every Sunday with my husband. I love the tortillas and the prices are good. Under 25 bucks for 6 tacos ,2 drinks and chips and salsa. It's my only go to place for Sunday breakfast. Joe and his wife know us by name and they have our order down pat. Best place in denton for breakfast tacos

I've always heard good things about this place. Finally got around to trying it for myself. I stopped in for lunch and had two barbacoa and one chicken taco. Tortillas were amazing. The barbacoa was a bit disappointing... not as much flavor as I've had elsewhere. The chicken taco was excellent. Price was OK, but on the high side for this type of establishment. Atmosphere is perfect although cleanliness is a bit lacking. Really nice Mom and Pop taco joint but not 5 stars in my book.

The owner is very nice and I liked hearing his banter with the regulars. The food was hot and fresh. The breakfast tacos were good and I loved the spiced potatos. I feel like the food was a bit pricey for such a plain and simple breakfast taco plate (beans, potatos, flour tortillas, eggs, etc.) but understandably there's a business to run. The salsa and tortillas were delicious and tasted homemade. I will be going back another time to try something different though.

Saw the reviews saying the breakfast tacos were good and went to try. They were not filled up very much and pretty bland. Eggs had no salt, my chorizo y papas taco had almost no chorizo, and the ratio of tortilla to filling was way off. Bacon wasnt bad and the chorizo wasnt either- wish they didnt skimp on both.
Went here in a Saturday morning the minute we walk in the guy taking the orders I guess the owner saw us just standing there while he had a whole long conversation with the regular in front of us. Not very friendly to new people. The tortilla and barbacoa are good and breakfast tacos looked good. Food wise I would say it's good but they really need to improve on trying to move the line a little quicker.

Stopped by the drive through to get some breakfast. I ordered a carnitas taco, sausage egg and potato w/cheese , and a beef egg and potato. When I got it, the beef looked very questionable, like a freezer burned texture, and the beef and the “sausage” tacos smelled horrible, like rodent excrement. The carnitas looked fine, and smelled ok, but tasted extremely bland. It was in desperate need of a lot of salt. The sausage and egg was mostly egg, with teeny bits of sausage cooked into it. The cheese was on the carnitas but whatever, no one gets your order right anymore. I’m concerned that the health department really needs to look into this place because literally the smell and look of the sausage taco and beef taco seem like they had some big problems. Needless to say I threw those two in the trash. $11 for those 3 tacos and I could only barely eat the carnitas.
Use to be good now all they serve is fatty tacos this place really went down hill bad I wish his mom and dad ran the place still he ruin a good place to eat this is the 3rd time this happened so I have to let the town be aware of the situation good luck yall
I'll never come back to eat again. The chicken enchiladas had dry and bland chicken with cartilage. No flavor, seasonings, or herbs when it was boiled. The sour cream curdled on my enchiladas so it had texture of cottage cheese. The beans were bland, they must not use any kind of oil to fry them or lard to cook them. Maybe they are just boiled and mashed. No salt in anything. The rice did have some flavor but it was cumin which is just weird. Chips are soaked in old oil that tasted like it was a few days old. And the tomato sauce is just blended up pico. Bland again. I don't think there's any salt in the kitchen. TACO DINNER PLATE DOES NOT INCLUDE TORTILLAS. So how do you eat tacos?

Stopped by looking for some breakfast was excited about homemade tortillas they didnt have corn option though . The food was horrible! They microwaved my food! Tortillas were so thick it was a struggle to get it down my throat. Chorizo and egg was horrible beans were disgusting potato’s were not fresh . I’m sorry but maybe it’s time to rethink how you can serve higher quality food fresh and hot not like warm with a good flavor or close the doors. Note we didn’t finish our food had to throw away .
Tacos are good but every time I want tacos before work they are never open. It's says they open at 7am and I go at 8am still closed. Can you please adjust your schedule to when yall will actually be there at opened.
food is bland and expensive, they dont even put salt and they always close early. if i wanted to spend $3 for one taco id rather go to mi casita or veronica’s. at least those have flavor and the employees aren’t impatient.
