Amazing service!! The lady at the drive-thru was so nice, and everything in my order was 100% correct. Plus it was hot and fresh! They even gave me a full leg and thigh for my dark meat big box order, and it was pretty fast too considering how long the line was. And as always, the price is right. It was only $6.50 for the whole meal. 11/10 for Popeyes service! So glad this new location is so close to where I live now too.

I’ve been to this location a handful of times now, and every single visit has been nothing short of amazing. There’s a gentleman who works there—I wish I remembered his name—but he’s a darker-skinned guy and genuinely one of the best employees I’ve ever encountered in any fast-food place. The very first time I came through, I ordered a Coke Zero. They were out, and they were also out of Diet Coke. I didn’t really mind because I didn’t Necessarily need the soda (lol). However, He immediately let me know they had some in the lobby, and without me even asking, he went all the way out there to grab it for me. That small act meant a lot because it showed how much he cares about going above and beyond. A few days later when I came back, he remembered me, and I told him how much I appreciated him and the whole crew. Every time I go there, the service is great, the food is great, and the staff is just on another level. The restaurant is brand new, super clean, super nice, and honestly—this spot has impressed me more than any other fast-food place I’ve been to. This is literally the first fast-food review I’ve ever written, and they earned it. I’ll definitely keep coming back. If anyone knows this guy’s name, please let me know—people like him are exactly what the customer service world needs more of. 🙏

This was my first time to eat here. I ordered through the drive thru and it didn’t take long. I waited about 5 minutes for my order. There were 4 cars in front of me; so not bad! The chicken was good and crispy! Still hot when I got it home. Isaac in the drive thru was kind, professional and very helpful. I will be going back for sure!
Olivia was helpful during my visit and was very friendly. She tried to resolve my issue as best as she could. Her and Carlos fixed my order from last week that someone messed up with no hesitation soon as I walked in only because I had a copy of my receipt. I recommend this Popeyes 10/10 over every other Popeyes. Very friendly, sweet, respectful, nice, and helpful.

Very kind worker at the drive through. Ordered online and picked up our order at the drive through and the service was very fast and very kind. Food was delicious, order was accurate and the value for our food was really good (we went through the offers online).

I want to give zero, but the employees were great. The food however, NOT sure what Popeyes is doing. The chicken tenders were smaller than my fingers. Not worth the money, will not be back. Very disappointed.. Second visit today Nov. 9, 2025. Thought maybe they fixed the tenders issue. Nope, jokes on me. I will not be back. I will drive to the other side of Denton to Popeyes where they have fair size tenders.
2nd time going to this location, I waited for over 30 min for our order to be ready, food was wrong, after the 30 min wait they informed me it would be another 10 min if I wanted everything I ordered, the manager was standing on the counter where food was being prepped and never cleaned it afterwards and the employee running the register who was also helping pack food took out the trashed and never washed his hands🥴 I understand they were busy but at least be clean.

I ordered through the app and had to wait 25 minutes after arriving to get my food and my order wasn't even completely correct. Missing dipping sauces, a side of fries, and a drink. Im only not giving a 1 because they threw in a free pie for me but the fact that the rest of my order was not only wrong but I had to wait as long as I did was pretty bad
Placed an online order today to pick up. Took me about 12-15 minutes to get there, got there and they told me to pull up to the next window and they would get my order. WAITED ANOTHER 15 MINUTES to even get my food. My food should’ve been ready by the time I got there. The guy was nice at the window but other than that, everything was bad. Chicken wasn’t good, fries were cold, some of the legs were small, one piece was just nasty like it wasn’t cooked well and more. Y’all need to change it up because this ain’t it

I hate 1 star reviews, but this experience was awful. First time I've spent half an hour in a fast food place and left with NO food. Went in to pick up an online order and the drive thru was packed as well as the parking, which told me it was not going to be a quick visit. When I got inside, there were 10+ people waiting on orders with no communication/direction from the staff. Staff seemed like they were working hard as it was the lunch rush, but at the same time it didn't seem like any single person behind the counter had any clue how to handle things. I waited a full half hour with not a single staff member checking in with me or letting me know what was going on. It seemed like more than a few of the people waiting were actually waiting for additional items/corrections to their orders. Again, the staff seemed to be trying but also seemed to just not know how to work in fast food. I only saw maybe 5 or 6 customers get their order in the 30 minutes I was there. They kept calling out names for orders for people who weren't there probably because they gave up and had to go to work. I used the online order system to get a refund and walk out, so I can't even tell your how the food was. Absolutely steering clear of this place until they can figure out how to run it.
The server was very nice and professional but the food was bleh and my order was wrong. 😕 I tried to call but there's no phone number on the receipt and the number I found online doesn't work.
Service is slow. 20 minutes for 2 meals. Tables were dirty. Staff was absent. Had to ask for drink cups, had to ask for silverware, had to ask for napkins, amd to ask for sauce. Portions were small price piint too high for size. Taste was mid. Never again
I was hoping this chicken place was going to be good, we need a good FF fried chicken place here in Denton, but i was soo wrong. Been here a couple times and this last time was the last. Chicken tinders are a joke like other reviews they are tiny. Service is also non existent. Sat at the second speaker line for over 15 minutes while they kept telling me to wait while taking several orders/cars at the first.
This place is terrible. I was the only customer in lobby and I ordered via the kiosk. After waiting 15 minutes another customer came in and ordered via the kiosk. We both waited another 15 minutes and when I asked about my order she came around from the back with both of our orders. They must have just been sitting and all I could hear is them talking and laughing behind the counter. I was going to dine in but every table had crumbs, dried soda stains, or dirty napkins on them. The soda fountain machine had a sticky counter with spilt soda all over it and no napkins were stocked. From previous reviews I'm guessing no one monitors this locations reviews because they say the same concerns. Popeyes is a great restaurant but this franchise is ruining the experience.
This location was great on week 1! (Fairly new store) No sauce added in order (or offered) No biscuit (missing from order) No fries (literally not in stock) Cmon management! Ps, the staff were very friendly.

I tried this location again after a bad experience last month and was once again disappointed. Does any one in management monitor these reviews? I think not. The chicken was "not fully cooked". This is dangerous. I cannot believe this place is still in operation.

I ordered 2 chicken sandwiches on the app at 5:53, and got to the store about 10 minutes later. I saw one employee pop up at the front counter every 10 or so minutes and asked him about my order around 6:10, he said they were still working on it. About 6:30 I asked about my order again, and he said he'd go check on it but I never saw him again. I left about 6:45 without my order because I had to be somewhere else. Shouldn't take an hour for two sandwiches. Support gave a 10 dollar coupon instead of a refund. Never again.
Literally said you can’t order dark meat with a family meal. I’ve had plenty of times that they are out but never we cant customize the order. Like why don’t they just let you order and mess it up like usual?

This company is notorious for bad service. Your employees are clearly not happy. They must not be getting treated well or paid enough. How are you all brand new on University and the service and food are already sub-par? We have tried several times with this and the other Denton location. Issues: 1. Saying you’re out of things when you don't want to cook it, proven several times. 2. Just the overall energy of the customer service - it's passive aggressive, and oftentimes just extremely rude. Treating customers like we are bothering you when driving up to spend our money. I understand stuff happens and there are one offs. I was excited about the new location, but I’m good on this.

Ordered online without issue, but waited in the drive thru for 15 minutes. The food was cold by the time we got it. I ordered boneless wings and got bone in, and they did not flavor them. Ordered sauce received none. For being a new location they were slow, rude and had no quality check on the order.

Second day being opened. Service was totally terrible, I ordered my food at 1pm at 120 pm no order and I was the only one in the lobby. People in the drive thru were coming and going. I walked up to counter. The crew was standing around talking. Handed the cashier and left because my order wasn't even there. M the second visit was very good. Totally different crew, very polite and prompt.
DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE DISAPPOINTED!! I did an online order and they tried to make me pay again WHEN ITS AN ONLINE THEREFORE I PAID ONLINE! Then gave me a wrong drink so I went inside to just fill up my drink with the drink I ordered and the Big guy working told me I couldn’t once I left the store EVEN though I was never in the store!!! I told him it was their fault and I was just in the drive through and had my receipt! They were very rude about it as well so I just left! Customer service was horrible!! I just shrugged it off but once I got home and opened my order they got the entire order wrong but it was all labeled correctly! now I am afraid to even eat this food because as horrible as this experience has been I’m sure the food isn’t much better and looks to give food poisoning.
Thought we would give this place a try since it just opened. Absolute trash. Chicken tenders the size of a #2 pencil. Place was trashed. Staff wanted to hang out more than work. Mac and cheese was oily congealed mess. Just nasty. Would not recommend.
