This charming spot for afternoon tea could have appeared straight out of an English village, but is conveniently here in Denver instead, right on Platte Street. Don't be confused, the building address may be 15th Street, but the stores on the main floor mostly face Platte Street. The tea shop is near the far east end. There is validated parking in the Parkwell lot behind the building. The shop is cozy and very cute with seating for about three dozen. We visited the day after Valentine's and things were still decorated for the holiday. The staff is very welcoming and we were soon seated after needing a bit of help with the Parkwell Web site. The rules for afternoon tea were quickly explained. Each person receives an individual pot of tea and can order as many different flavors/varieties as they wish to try. A traditional, vertical rack for each couple contains two plates of sandwiches, a plate of scones, and a plate of cookies and petit fours. This is a lot of food. We received three sets of sandwiches including turkey, cucumber, and curried chicken salad plus a bruschetta. These were all delicious, particularly the bruchetta which had a great mix of flavors. I love scones and we received both a strawberry and a traditional one with a plate of ramekins containing jam, clotted cream, and lemon curd. Very authentic and very tasty. Tea service included three timers to ensure the perfect steeping time, a plate on which to place the tea leaf basket after steeping, a strainer for each cup, and a little container to hold the strainer. Just be sure to keep a finger on the tea pot lid when you pour! We were stuffed at this point, so we only nibbled a bit of the chocolate petit four and were given a beautiful box in which to take home the balance of the desserts. We even each received a final cup of tea to go! Service was friendly and efficient. This is a great experience for my fellow lovers of afternoon tea and very authentic. We enjoyed every bit of it. The shop offers nearly 100 tea varieties plus cocktails, wine, and champagne. There's a happy hour from 4pm to 6pm daily. There's also a café menu if you don't want the full tea service and they love to host special events.

As a tea connoisseur, I LOVED my experience at Babe's Tea Room! We were able to try 7 or 8 teas in our allotted time and they were all delicious (I wish I kept track of my favorites but I remember one being referred to as the "Champagne of tea," that was my top). The food was excellent! Loved the finger sandwiches and enjoyed the sweets at home since I was too full to finish them at the restaurant. I can't wait to visit again!

So much fun!!! My girls and I had an amazing Galentine’s day at Babe’s. The decorations were so cute!! All the tea is super yummy. And the little sandwiches are adorable!!! Can’t wait to go back :)

Us ladies made a reservation for tea time. The package was priced per person, and included a tower of tea time treats and whatever tea you would like. They were very accommodating to my dairy allergy, making a separate tower just for me💕. Each tower had sandwiches and savory tarts on the bottom 2 tiers, scones and biscuits on the third and desserts on top. We all loved this experience so much!!!

A cute place to enjoy tea and delicious goodies! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. My friends and I went for an afternoon tea and were overwhelmed by the various tea options on the menu-- it all looked good! My friends and I chose the ballerina white tea, strawberry tea, and blueberry tea. The teas were delicious but out of the 3, the strawberry tea was our personal favorite. We also got to enjoy various desserts and tea sandwiches and they were delicious! Overall, the experience itself was amazing and would definitely comeback for a get together with friends or just for the heck of it!

one of my favorite experiences when visiting denver - the selection of teas is diverse and plentiful, the vibes joyful and vivacious, and wait staff attentive and relatable! you can opt in for the $60 1.5 hour tea service to try as many teas as you wish complete with a tower of scones, desserts and finger sandwiches. you can also order specialty teas to go, buy tea by the ounce to brew yourself (butterscotch, blue sunshine, blueberry, strawberry, jasmine leaves are some of my favorites right now) or order items a la carte ($7 pot of tea, refillable as many times as you want with new hot water) which ive opted for lately. the space is quaint and lovely, a little tight, but adorned with pink, flowers, and a few pillows for comfort. happy hour starts at 4pm with a few additional food selections. reserve a table online through opentable for guaranteed seating. options for both indoor and outdoor seating are available. parking is behind the building, with an option for validated parking (wait until you get in the restaurant to sign up for your parking with their qr code for 1.5 hours free). a huge, heartfelt thank you to babes tea room for existing and another to caleb for providing such a lovely experience on my latest visit!

We had a nice experience for afternoon tea. There is a regular menu to order from as well. They also have coffee/espresso drinks. The traditional tea service is $60 per person which includes unlimited tea from a large selection and a tower of sandwiches, biscuits and desserts. We didn’t get to try the regular menu this time but the plates we saw coming out looked very good!

First class all the way. The restaurant is quaint, simply decorated but modern and with a fresh feel. Everything was professionally displayed - you know you eat with your eyes first. Finger sandwiches, macarons, 2 different scones and petite fours were all perfect. I’d come back for that turkey with garlic aioli all by itself. And of course I have to mention the teas - they have a wide selection from white to oolong to black plus a few blends. You can try as many as you wish. I think we tried 7 different ones. I purchased the jasmine pouchong green tea to take home. Went with my two adult daughters. We had the best time eating and sipping. Kiki was our server - prompt, polite, knowledgeable plus a great sense of humor. We will be back.

Wonderful tea and incredible service. Chose the unlimited to expand the palate. The tea sandwiches were excellent and the salad dressing refreshing. Can't wait to visit again. Oh yeah. And macaroons!

My daughter wanted afternoon tea for her birthday and was curious about Babe’s. We went with her sister today and it was really amazing- the finger sandwiches and pastries were soooo good, and got to try several teas. A little pricey on the weekend but worth the splurge. We recommend!

Had a great experience with my family trying out babe’s tea room. The options of teas are endless and you can try as many as you like depending on the option you purchase. Personal favorite tea I enjoyed was the Fiji tea. The sandwiches and desserts are also made to perfection. The waitress that attended our group was very knowledgeable.

I’ve been here twice, each time for a special occasion. I reserved a time, and opted for the service where we get unlimited tea/drinks and a tier of tea sandwiches and desserts. The tea/food are 10/10. There was nothing that wasn’t delicious. Everything was super tasty! The service makes you feel like you’re in a high end restaurant, with your server being very attentive and explaining everything. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect. Feminine, flowery, bright. I look forward to coming back closer to Christmas, and seeing what fun seasonal drinks/food they have then.

This is such a fun spot! The teas were all super yummy. We tried a good rotation from classic earl grey, citrus mistress, strawberry, orange and lemon and more! The tea sandwiches, Devonshire cream and all the treats were all amazing! Cannot wait to go back and try more tea. The decor is super pretty, and service was amazing. They even brought a special little tower for the kiddos with sunbutter and jelly sandwiches. Adorable spot for a special event or fun date.

The unlimited amount of teas you can try is amazing! We managed to get through 12 different teas while we were here and it was so fun. Ashley gave great suggestions through the process! We did the full high tea experience and it was great. I could have done with a few more savory options over sweet on the snack tower, however that could just be personal preference. Overall great experience will come here again, and would highly recommend to others!

Went here for my birthday and I have to say I was impressed. The location is super cute and cozy. The server Kiki was incredibly friendly and helpful. The vegan option for tea was done quite well which was pleasantly surprising. The only downside was price it was a bit expensive so not somewhere we can do frequently, but more of a once or twice a year thing. Overall highly recommend if you’re a vegan wanting to do fancy tea. Oh also a lovely assortment of teas.

Very cute place with great vibes and a big tea selection. However, the food options are pretty limited. The service was disappointing — when I asked for recommendations, the server wasn’t able to offer any. Ordered BEA sandwich, it was dry. Nice spot for a quick tea stop, but the lack of helpful service was a turnoff.

💐 It’s cute. 💰 4 People - $240 OVERPRICED⁉️ I’m genuinely confused about what the $240 price point is meant to cover. The food portions were shockingly small — effectively a single sandwich divided among four people. If the experience were exceptional, that might help justify it, but it wasn’t. Overall, the value just isn’t there. 🏄🏽‍♀️ Service 5/10 - Server seemed rushed & stressed. 😫 felt terrible for her! 🥵 Needs ventilation in the cafe 🚽 Shared restroom. Had pee all over toilet. Might need regular cleaning 🧼 ❤️‍🩹 NOT a friendly welcoming place. 👎🏽 Maybe it was an “OFF” day. 🫖 Tea selection was good. 👍🏿 🏰 I recommend going to high tea at: The Brown Palace for the value & better experience. ✨✨✨✨✨✨

⭐️⭐️ Two-Star Review The woman who initially served us was incredibly kind and patient, which I truly appreciated. I had reserved our date and time a little over a week in advance and made sure to note on the reservation that this was a first-time mommy and me afternoon tea. Both children were 17 months old, and we were excited, dressed up in our tea outfits, and looking forward to a special experience. We started off having a lovely time, but unfortunately the experience quickly changed. We were rushed out by someone I can only assume was a manager, which felt disappointing and uncomfortable—especially given the context clearly noted in our reservation. This was meant to be a meaningful and gentle first afternoon tea experience with toddlers, not something hurried during the end of our time. The only reason I chose this tea room was because of its smaller, more intimate atmosphere, which I thought would be more welcoming for young children. Sadly, that expectation wasn’t met. Because of this experience, I will be choosing the Brown Palace for our next afternoon tea instead.

Do NOT come here!!! Is it cute? Yes, is it over priced? Wildly! I’ve been coming to babes since it opened and normally I only have nice things to say about the place, but as time has gone on, they now are such Penny pinchers that everything is extremely overpriced and now you don’t even get tea sandwiches you get tea crackers! To spend as much money as you do to come here and then to not even get sandwiches now they’re doing crackers is a huge rip off and such a disappointment! Do not waste your money coming here!
