LOVE Olive Tree!! My families absolute favorite local place to eat. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, the food is always on point! 👌 No matter what you get. Who doesn't love a nice home cooked meal?! The customer service is amazing as well! The owner and his son are the nicest people you'll meet! They know their regulars by name, and will sometimes come sit at our table to see how things are going. Very family oriented! It's always busy, but they don't rush you & it doesn't affect their service. Also, they're always beautifully decorated for holidays, and always clean! This place is always been great for food. I miss Nick. His sons took over the business and they do very well but Nick was always funny. I miss his antics. I go to olive tree a lot with my friends. I had family in town for a surprise 80th birthday party. I wanted a breakfast for out of town family and I called olive tree. When our party arrived the table was all set and our waitress dani was outstanding. We had separate checks with 15 people. Dani was courteous, knowledgeable of the menu and had a great sense of humor. The food was awsome. Everyone in our party loved the atmosphere. When I go back and I see dani I will request her area to eat at.

Food is generally good and abundant. It's nice when the owner is in as he is very welcoming. 10-27-24 Stopped after a bowling tournament for a bite to eat. I had tea and the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and a cup of cream of broccoli soup. The turkey was real and the sandwich was big. I had to take some home as I couldn't finish it. I hate broccoli but the soup was very good. If you order hot tea you get enough to last you whole meal. 1 cup and 1 pit both with hot water, 2 teabags and honey. Our waitress was super attentive and well informed of the menu. She was great.

Having grown up in Lancaster, Olive Tree Restaurant has always been a personal favorite of mine. I was thrilled to learn they recently started offering catering, and I chose them for my son’s baptism — the experience was nothing short of exceptional. We went with a souvlaki buffet, and it was a huge hit! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My guests couldn’t stop raving about it. Highly recommend for both dining in and catering your special events!

My wife and I stopped in for dinner yesterday. We've eaten at The Olive Tree many times over the years, and have always left really satisfied. This restaurant is known for great food, large portions and very reasonable prices. Yesterday was no exception. The food was as usual, excellent. But the main reason for this review is our waitress, Amanda. This girl is a gem! She is one of the friendliest attentive folks We've ever met at a restaurant.The restaurant always gets 5 stars from us, but Amanda gets 10! She's a credit to the Olive Tree.

Ever since the remodel, this place never looks slow and is fantastic at keeping the pace with orders every time I come. Their new menu items are to die for and they have still kept the classics like the French onion soup and souvlaki salads. Breakfast is always consistently good here as well; one of the best omelets I’ve ever eaten. Take out is always fresh and never had an issue with an order being messed up. Definitely a local gem with great staff; Stavros is a such a nice man and has a great restaurant!

This was a great experience. It’s hard to come by really good souvlaki but the one here hit all of my the boxes. Both chicken and beef marinated to perfection, tender, juicy and flavorful, portion was ample. Salad had all the topping onion, tomato, feta, olives, including green pepper and had a good base mix of iceberg and mesclun greens. Dressing was flavor and tied everything together perfectly. Pita was really good (was told they make it in house?), tzatziki was delish. Will definitely be back!

I visited this restaurant from out of town and boy was it a beautiful place. I ordered the chicken finger sub my first time, very tasty. I just recently went back and took my family. They loved it as much as me. I realized they served breakfast all day which made me happy. I ordered the Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. The strawberries were fresh, not the soggy syrupy kind. Delicious!

First time dining at this location. Restaurant was very clean. Hostess and server were very friendly. I had a club sandwich that had turkey, ham, capicola and bacon on it along with a side of onion rings. Sandwich was perfectly made.

The Olive Tree in Lancaster is our kids' favorite spot. Cozy vibe, friendly staff who are great with little ones. Kids' menu has all their go-tos: pancakes, grilled cheese, chicken fingers. Breakfast all day is a big plus. Portions are generous, food tastes homemade, prices are fair. We go often and the kids always ask for it. Solid family place. Highly recommend.

My family ordered catering for today for our Thanksgiving dinner and I just wanted to make a review to say how good it was! Everything was cooked so perfectly and the Turkey was sooo tender and delicious! My favorite side was the stuffing it was seasoned really well! Great portion sizes too perfect amounts for everyone to take seconds even thirds or more for a family of 7! I will most definitely be ordering again next Thanksgiving!

Food was really good. Amanda, our server, was super friendly and very attentive. However, my food was barely warm. No, I didn't say anything because I normally eat room temp food. With that being said, for a restaurant I expected hotter food than room temp. I ordered the Polish plate and he got the half chicken plate. We tried the cheese and bacon tots since the menu said it was a fave! We really enjoyed it. Both meals came with soup or salad. We opted for salads. Only downfall was the person vacuuming right next to tables where people are eating.

Went here for breakfast. Chocolate chip pancakes were good, but the chips weren't evenly distributed, so some bites were more interesting than others. Would get again regardless. Restaurant is clean and has an open feel. It's rather large and it seems well-equipped to handle the Sunday brunch crowd.

First I want to say that our server Mike is probably one of the best servers in WNY. He did a great job on a busy Saturday and was a real pro. We ordered four items. The blueberry pancakes and Smores pancakes were great! The pot roast sandwich was dry and just ok and the French onion soup was good. Will definitely be back to try some other options.

My wife and I eat here once or twice a month, usually for breakfast at dinner time. The food is very good, the service is fast and friendly. I usually get the Olive tree breakfast with french toast, my wife gets an Omlet or the greek chicken sandwich but I have had the turkey club and turkey melt as well. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is generally well run, and staff are friendly and attentive. The building was semi-recently remodeled following an unfortunate fire event a few years ago... but some of the seating is already showing cracking/wear on the vinyl. Recent changes removed some things from the menu that, from speaking with staff, many customers miss, including myself. There is no hungry-man breakfast, including eggs, meat of choice, home fries, pancakes, pancakes, or French toast, which creates a pricey ala-carte to make a full breakfast. Also, this restaurant used to have a fantastic country-sized pork link/breakfast, which is sorely missed. The food selections are average to what one might expect from a Greek based type of restaurant. The Souvlaki is tasty. I find the open-air environment nice, but the atmosphere can become loud when they are busy. Pricing is a bit on the heavy side, but there is not a solid competing restaurant nearby to challenge, so that doesn't help. On my last visit, I came to talk with someone, and the server was very patient with us. I made sure to tip well in case we indirectly caused her to lose any tables. Overall, this restaurant is worth a try.

My husband ordered soup and a sandwich. I ordered the French onion soup as my entree. The waitress, Charlie, took our order and said she’d be right back with my husband’s soup. When she came back…with my husband’s sandwich and my soup, she said she’d bring his soup right out. Five minutes later she did. My French onion soup was not good. The broth was ok, cheese and bread ok. But there was a bay leaf in the soup, you are supposed to take that out BEFORE serving. The onions…the onions are supposed to be caramelized in French onion soup. These were definitely not. They were crunchy. Some were this side of raw. I had some of the broth, the waitress asked me if I wanted the rest to go, when I said no it was not good, she did take it off our check. But hands down the worst French onion soup I’ve had away from home.

Our visit was later in the evening, around 8pm. Our server asked for our drink order, came back forgot the lemo for mine. We let her know, she never returned with it. Placed our food order, soup came out quick, the rest of the order took longer. She asked if we wanted another drink my husband asked for a lemon iced tea. A while later she asked how our food was and if we wanted water, my husband reminded her of the iced tea. She again asked what kind. Never returned. She finished with a table near us and now we've been staring at her because the iced tea never arrived and her other tables weren't close enough to call out to her. (From what we could see, she was only covering 3- 4 tables including ours). She caught our eye, finally brought an iced tea and 5 mins later the check. In comparison, a table of three people sat behind us, came in after us, received full meals and multiple drinks from their server and were able to finish and leave before us. Our visit was a bit disappointing after a long day.

The food is average at best seems to have gone down in quality in past few years. Ordered Mac and cheese for.my daughter what we got I could have made from kraft for a dollar and it wouldn't have been burnt. Staff friendly definitely very clean. Food very average or below average.

The one time I went in for dinner to order a fish fry. The fish fry was excellent. Very good waiter/ waitress service. Recently I went in for breakfast and ordered the breakfast blueberry pancakes 🥞 and bacon 🥓. The blueberry pancakes 🥞 were terrible! 🤢 I can't understand it. How hard is it to make pancakes? Last 3 times. My dinner was terrible. I said no gravy with turkey dinner, gave me gravy, and that wasn't real turkey it was disgusting. One meal ordered a cheeseburger, the roll was stale. No flavor at all. One meal ordered meatloaf, again requested no gravy. They put gravy. Yuck

Generally speaking the food is always good. I was disappointed in the breaded fish fry tho. It is a large platter but my fish had some harder dried pieces...it was not fresh and tender tasting, the coleslaw is way too sweet and the macaroni salad had no taste to it. Didn't get the potato salad so no comment on that.

Been here several times before the remodel and always had a good experience. In and out under an hour with great food and service, even when it was busy. They've been reopened a little over a week and the inside is beautiful. But waiting for nearly 45 min for bacon, eggs and pancakes is ridiculous. We were told the kitchen was backed up. Im not sure if an entire new kitchen staff was hired or if they were just understaffed but it was chaos. Our server apologized for the wait but its little help. We still do not have our food as of writing this review. Perhaps we will try again in a few mo ths when things have calmed down here and they have the kitchen in order.

My wife and I came a few months ago following the renovation and did not have the best experience. We thought we would give it time and then try again. We were still very disappointed. Again, waiting nearly 60 min for pancakes and eggs is ridiculous. Both our orders were not correct. The pancakes were basically Styrofoam, like they had been under the heat lamps for 20 min, my wife had asked for strawberries on them and they came plain, the omelet was runny and sides had to be asked for a second time. This place was a go to for us for so long prior to the renovation but now, we have had 2 poor experiences and won't be coming back. What they improved in ambiance they have lost in quality of product and service.

Server was nice the issue I had was I ordered a basic BLT but with gluten free bread The sandwich came in the tiniest gluten free bread I ever saw. We had a big group from a funeral so I was in no way in the mood for confrontation. Everyone at the table could not believe my tiny sandwich. It did not have even one piece of bacon on it . The bacon was torn tiny pieces that did not even cover the bread, also a part of a sliced tomato. Anyway don’t order the Gluten free bread for sandwiches. The next day I called the manager said we can never tell what bread we get. Sorry not acceptable. The fries were good since that was all I had to eat basically.

Remodeling looks nice but that's about it.service was horrible. Food was bad and definitely over priced. I got a steak and eggs and got the steak med and it was very chewy and fatty didn't get silverware with our food no syrup with our pancakes. Got a bagel toasted with butter and it wasn't buttered. Will not be returning there. For 3 people we paid 77 dollars for bad service and quality. Very Dissapointed. I did let the staff know and all I got was sorry.

The service was good, but the food was terrible. The french dip was so bland and flavorless, I have to wonder if they have a technique for removing flavor from food. And a word of advice to the coom: if you're just going to water-down canned low-sodium gravy for au jus, at least make sure you mix it well so there's not globs of gravy floating in it!

I ordered the “Thanksgiving” turkey dinner, because of its “high rating.” I was expecting sliced roasted turkey. Instead, I received sliced processed turkey. It had a weird texture and taste.

They burn my turkey club bread hardly any meat on the sandwich very disappointed won't go back.

Our server Mike was absolutely fantastic, however this is our 4th and final bad experience with the food quality. We have been loyal customers for years, but we will no longer come to this establishment. Hair in our food, raw homefries, way overcooked steaks, it has just been a bad experience over and over and it's my belief that this place is in need of some culinary training for their kitchen staff.

Do not recommend. Unfortunately multiple interactions made this visit a bad experience. From having to switch our order multiple times because they didnt have the ingredients, to being served corn beef hash when we were told it came with hashbrowns. The waitress seemed confused of the difference between the two. While eating we had to hear about one of the waitress talk politics and discuss how much she hates trump. When we went to pay our bill we had to run our cards twice because our to-go orders couldnt be put on our dine-in orders??? Weird experience! wont be back

Excellent food, however the service was absolutely horrible. Never once have we ever had to wait over 45 minutes for food, and another 10 minutes for the check. Not sure if the server was new, but maybe more training would benefit her customer service skills

Haddock was rancid. Food was delivered slow. My daughter didn’t get all of her meal. Not coming back

We were just in today for lunch. We ordered chicken souvlaki, a breakfast omelette and the French dip sandwich. Overall not pleased. The French onion soups we started with were overly salty and inedible. Then our food came and the chicken in the souvlaki was dry and tasted like it wasn’t marinated very long. The omelette was satisfactory but unimpressive. The French dip was on an excellent roll but the shaved beef was dry and overcooked/tough. I wanted to like it here but I’m sad to say we probably won’t be back. The service was good otherwise. If you like a family restaurant feel with a large senior crowd this is your place!!

We always go to this restaurant and always get excellent service and food is great. I don’t know who was cooking but our food was cold and under cooked. The waiter got my child order incorrect never offered to adjust it, I ended up buying another order of what my child wanted. Pancakes were undercooked French toast was undercooked cold we send it back and was the same thing. We just paid and left very disappointed, it was my mom’s birthday.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years with my family. It’s always been a special place for us — reliable, comforting, and full of great memories. That’s why tonight hurt so much. This was my first time ordering takeout online, and I was genuinely excited to enjoy the amazing fish fry I’ve always loved. But what I got instead was a complete mess. I waited over an hour, only to come home and find our entire order was wrong. We ordered broiled and battered fish with baked potatoes and French onion soup. What we got was oily, soggy, and careless. The broiled fish was falling apart, the battered fish was drenched in grease, the baked potatoes were replaced with limp, soggy fries. It honestly felt like no one cared — and that’s the part that stings the most. The only decent gesture was the manager giving us cheesecake for the long wait, and my wife being told we’d get a refund when she called. But it doesn’t fix the disappointment of being let down by a place we once trusted. After all these years, I never thought I’d say this — but we won’t be coming back. Extremely disappointed and honestly heartbroken by how far this place has fallen.
