Avis sur Agriturismo I Gumbi Dolceacqua
Cordiali e simpatici i proprietari, ottimo servizio.
Eccellenti cibo e location.
We stumbled upon this wonderful, very traditional restaurant. The food is delicious! I highly recommend it if you're ever in Dolceaqua.
We went for lunch today for the first time, and we had a great time. The food was excellent, and everything was homemade. The value for money was excellent. We'll be back and recommend it.
A small, intimate place that served us an excellent dinner. Having eaten the ravioli we saw being made that morning was a plus: the dough was incredibly thin, practically transparent, superb. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff who pampered us was another plus.
Below Doria Castle, at this Agriturismo we found excellent cuisine, friendly, attentive service, and a fair price. Thanks for the lovely evening! Laura and Claudio.
I Gumbi is an excellent restaurant if you're staying in or just passing through Dolceacqua. The restaurant offers traditional local dishes made with the freshest ingredients, especially the Tagliarin Verdi and Ligurian-style rabbit. The restaurant is housed in an old olive oil mill, creating a timeless atmosphere.
If you want to eat inside, you should make a reservation. The inside is small but cute as it's an old wine mill. Outside there is space on plastic wanky garden chairs, which is likely where you'll go without reservation. The menu is all homemade, plentiful, regional food. Two options for the appetizer, the main, and multiple desserts. The food was great. The waitress speaks french, the waiter not so much. This is not a quick meal so take your time accordingly.
In a beautiful corner of Dolceacqua, you'll find an excellent restaurant offering authentic, delicious dishes served with a smile. Whether you opt for the menu with appetizer, first course, second course, and dessert or the à la carte menu, it's guaranteed. Truly unmissable.
Where to begin... I was first introduced to the restaurant because of the enormous stone mills inside for making olive oil, which remind us of another era. I was charmed by the atmosphere and decided to have dinner there the next day. The service was exceptional, not only professional but also warm and welcoming. In addition, almost all the servers spoke more than 3 languages. As for the food, the menu is limited to offer only a few daily specials with products that are in season in the region. I took the set menu to have the chance to taste everything, and EVERYTHING was exceptional. The pasta, simple in appearance, had a perfect texture and a divine marriage between the ingredients. For starters, four different bites that surprise (positively of course) with their flavors and appearance. For dessert, I confess I was too eager to take a photo before starting the panna cotta. And how is it possible that I have never eaten such delicious berries? And then the wine, only one red wine on the menu, and it was amazing. A real treat. Not to mention it was only €35 for a starter, TWO main courses and a dessert. I won't be able to go back for a long time since I'm traveling, so do me a favor and please dine at I Gumbi.
We stayed one night in Dolceacqua to break up the journey home from our vacation in Spain, discovering a wonderful gem nestled in the Ligurian hills. The I Gumbi farmhouse is yet another marvel in this village, transporting you back to another era. The restaurant is located inside an old olive oil mill and has a charming outdoor area. I found the food delicious and prepared with high-quality ingredients. The ravioli were fantastic, the rabbit was special, cooked perfectly. The menu features a few simple dishes, prepared with love. My children, ages 4 and 11, loved everything, even the desserts: panna cotta with fresh red berries and Dolceacqua michetta with ice cream. The house white wine (Pigato) was definitely to our taste. The staff and owner are friendly, helpful, and authentic, like the products they serve.
A delightful interlude by a stream in the charming village of Dolce Aqua. The service is quick and friendly. The waiters make an effort to speak French. The menu is translated into French. The dishes are generous and flavorful. The appetizer platter is excellent (eggplant caviar, brandade, zucchini blossom fritter, pumpkin barbajuan). The potatoes are melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the meat is tender and perfectly cooked. We ordered the rabbit and the pork, and they were delicious. The local red wine has red fruit and smoky notes. We would have liked to buy some, but there was only enough for the service. What a shame!
We were warmly welcomed at this agriturismo. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and happily takes you back in time, recalling the hardships of country life, but with much less stress than today. The dishes are beautifully presented and based on traditional Ligurian cuisine. The tasting menu includes two first courses and two second courses, plus a mixed antipasto and a dessert of your choice from the options. I also ordered a half liter of Rossese and appreciated the quality. Compliments both for the quality of the cuisine and the kindness of the dining room staff.
Delicious food, polite and friendly staff and beautiful location.
Food delicious, good service, nice place
Nestled in the beautiful setting of the quaint village of Dolceacqua, the restaurant is housed in an old olive oil mill, known as "gumbo" in dialect. With refinement and simplicity, they prepare typical Ligurian dishes, beautifully presented and delicious. The appetizers are interesting, the borage ravioli are wonderful, and the rabbit is excellent. The desserts are unusual. The locally produced Rossese wine is excellent. The staff is very kind and friendly.
Fantastic setting. The staff was wonderful. We ordered the fixed price meal of the day. At 29 euros, it was both a good price and very special. We started with a starter plate of cod, stuffed squash blossoms and crostini. This was followed by a choice of ravioli with sage sauce or spaghetti with Bolognese sauce. Then we had a choice of wild boar, rabbit or pork. We tried the wild boar which was too salty, so we had the pork with roasted potatoes. There was a good selection of desserts and we tried two. Reservations are mandatory.

This nice restaurant in the heart of Dolceacqua offer a fixed menu with the typical dishes from the Western Ligurian cuisine. Don't miss the delicious Ravioli with spinach... delicious! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very authentic and drives you back in the past years of the village. The restaurant is not very big so don't forget to book your table, otherwise you will risk to remain without no table.
