Avis sur Camping Eden Glamping Dormelletto
We stayed here for 3 nights on July. A great campground with good amenities and very helpful staff.
Very cool “Glamping” sites. Comfortable bed, kitchenette, bathroom and sitting area. Comforts of home while “camping”.
The staff at the reception, especially Jiacomo, were absolutely brilliant and so helpful. The little cabins are perfectly set up for all your needs and are spotless. We particularly liked the disco lighting in the shower, and the heating/ac was really effective, especially on the days it rained! It would be nice to have lighting in the cabin that's a bit softer and not so bright for romantic evenings.
Stayed here for one night on the way to Lucca. Campsite is great. Lovely reception and very informative. We didn't go in the swimming pool but it looked fab!! Great little beachfront bar on edge of lake. Restaurant was lovely and the pizzas were amazing. Best we've ever had. I would stay here again without a doubt.
Stayed here for a few days with a car and a small tent. Didn't make a reservation, but that was no problem and we got to choose a nice spot. This place has everything you want for a perfect stay: big pitch, nice helping people, good food, electricity, clean bathrooms and toilets with toilet paper, easy access to drinking water, a fridge/freezer you can use, not too big of a camping, a (small) pool to cool off, breakfast options, easy access to Lago Maggiore (you can jump in from the camping!), hiring kayak/sub.. Do i need to go on? We had to go because of bad weather coming, but we could have stayed a lot longer. Some people posted about plane noise, but that wasn't a big deal for us. Highly recommend this place!!
Right next ti the lake, in a green quiet area but walking distance from big grocery stores and other stores. Very clean and well organized. The staff is great, very nice, welcoming and always helpful. The restaurant offers good home made italian typical food and pizza, and they are very conscious about food allergies.
We stayed in one of holiday homes. It was very clean and equipped with everything. You have to pay separately for towels and linen - which was still quite good deal. Very good WiFi. No TV but we didn't mind. Aircon worked nice as heating on late October nights. There is good bar on site. Swimming pool closes end of September. There are two clean beaches on site - one for dogs. We still had a swim few times at end of October as weather was really good and water temperature still OK. Two playgrounds for children, outside gym, small football and basketball pitch. Pool table. Whole area is very picturesque. Train station is about 15 minutes walk and you can travel to Milan and other places from there. We arrived by train from Milan Malpensa. Bus stop is pass roundabout on main road. You can travel from there to Arona which is beautiful town. From Arona take ferry to other side to Angera Castle - absolutely breathtaking! There is large supermarket near by with good deals and pharmacy. Car rental and dentists also near by. On arrival you will have to leave deposit and house will be inspected on departure. Lots of pitches for caravans and tents. Be aware that park can get quite busy and definitely remember about moscito repellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Always smiling. Children had very good holiday. We will visit again. Thank you.
We like the camping. The animation is very very good every day is there something to do the girls are really kind. The shower area is clean and all the people are kind. So we like the camping very well. And it’s really recommended!
Super camping, friendly staff, great also if you have a dog. Plenty of green spaces, quite at night. Close to super market, restaurants, etc. Total relax....
Amazing campsite! The staff is super friendly, clean toilets/showers and located directly at the lake
We absolutely loved this campsite. We spent two nights in Milan and three at camping Eden. The staff are friendly and helpful and the bar/restaurant is brilliant. Very reasonable eg margarita pizza f…
Well run, friendly campsite on the banks of Lake Maggiore. Lots of seasonal caravans, some glamping, mobile homes. The touring area is located nearest the lake, with some formal pitches and some ar…
The camping places are quite dusty. The location is great at the lake and very close to large supermarket and many other facilities. They have a lot of facilities and the restaurat and beach bar are actually very decent. I think it is good value for money. Be careful when you camp so if you do not use electricity to let them know otherwise they will charge it by default.
Great location and fabulous staff! Only stayed in our motor home for one night, but will return!
Nice camping ground. Friendly staff and good restaurant. Tidy and simple sanitary facilities. We really enjoyed it 👍🏻
Smaller, cozy camp with clean and well-designed social facilities. Unfortunately, our short stay was spoiled right at the beginning by the affected and very rude manager at the reception with his "Welcome". Right at the beginning of resolving our mutual misunderstanding of the reservation (I asked for a pitch for two smaller vans, 3 adults and one small child - I received an offer of pitch up to 85 for 2 adults and one child, I confirmed the offer with the understanding that we will be 3 adults, 1 child and two smaller vans - to which I received a request for a deposit) he started shouting at me that it isn´t possible and told us that if we don´t like it we can get out. WOW... If it weren´t after the long journey in hot weather with a small, tired child, we would have done so immediately... In the end, our friend was allowed to park next to us in the second camper after his arriving (even without a fee for an additional camper). One more minus for the fact that unfortunately the maintenance of the small beach isn´t taken care of as well as the interior of the camp - we found a dead rat and a used condom in the water on the beach, we preferred not to report this fact to the staff after our previous experience...
Not nicly placed between high buildings around. Clean bathrooms, friendly english speaking reception, good for one night if heading to the south

I would like to say something nice about this site but the only thing I can think of is that the beach bar was quite good. Where do I start… First of all there was broken glass embedded in the ground on our pitch and it was also found on the beach and in the water of the lake. Fortunately I didn’t see anyone cut by it but it was concerning, especially with children about. Much of our pitch was bear earth which also appeared contaminated with black stains; I covered them where I could with a ground sheet. The lake water is quite dirty at the site with a lot of floating matter and weed collected on the bottom. Much of the site is taken up with closely packed permanently sited caravans which have makeshift extensions and coverings. They are so closely spaced that they appeared like a shanty town particularly when they are occupied at the weekend by their owners spreading out into the narrow roads between them. To reach the restaurant, recycling or toilets you have to walk through the ‘shanty town’ which isn’t very pleasant especially after dark. The showers, toilets and washing facilities in themselves weren’t too bad although you needed to use them in daylight because the lighting was ineffective. The route to and from the pitches is very narrow and windy although it is navigable if no one is coming the other way and no cars are parked alongside pitches or chalets. Dormelletto itself isn’t much of a town; it has a supermarket and a couple of petrol stations but it has nothing else to recommend it. Further up the coast are beautiful towns of Arona and Stresa that are well worth visiting. Finally our booking rate (through Allcamps) made no mention of excluding electricity but I was charged €6 night for the meagre 6A supply. When I complained the staff argued and said I wasn’t a nice person. Is a nice person someone who paid extra unjust charges without question? I paid it just to be able to get away! Needless to say, I wouldn’t recommend this site.
