The food was amazing! I never eat everything on my plate at a buffet but this time I did! There was only one thing, the meatloaf, that I didn't care for. They have such a great selection of well-seasoned food choices! It is definitely not a date night spot as kids are everywhere and very loud. Definitely a family restaurant.

It's very tempting to be dismissive in terms of the wait time and to needlessly ramble on the lengthy lines. Quite the contrary, it really depends on the day of the week and time usually effects any customer's experience. However, I really cannot provide an unpleasant experience and the wait time, during it's peak hours or not, the food is a worthwhile treat. Essentially, I specifically enjoy the healthy alternatives in contrast to the heavily calorie intake meals, it provides to the fellow reader and potential customer. I love the diy (do it yourself) food sections, there's variety anybody may enjoy.

Brought the family to enjoy a meal and some time together. A wonderful time as usual. Our sever Becky did a spectacular job, very attentive and on point. The food was delicious as usual. Will definitely continue to come to Golden Corral in Downey. Becky makes an awesome hot chocolate.

Dinner was fantastic I loved the chicken and baked potatoes 🥔 I ate three. I for sure got my money’s worth on this three plated meal.

This is one of the best organized Golden Corral that I have ever been it was clean the staff was well organized and nice the food was hot and ready I truly enjoyed the service and the Ambien was all so wonderful I would totally recommend there for families and groups and singles also I am so glad they opened up in the city of Downey Kudos Golden Corral

the lunch price is 11.59. there are burgers, tacos, egg rolls, salad, ham, stake, chocolate strawberry, and ice cream and fudge like McDonald's. the drink is about 2.5 dollars. its a nice place to go many seats at lunch.

**UPDATE** NO MORE FONDUE!! Due to covid, they have discontinued this treat. (ALL locations) tonight's meal was not very good. Very salty dishes, steak was not the best quality. More fat & grizzle than meat. Not good. ----- OMG love this place. So much selection going on here! They have everything from three different types of steaks, deep fried fish, plenty of proteins fruits & veggies & the best for me is the chocolate fondue & plenty of dippable treats

The food was actually delicious. Usually buffets are average or below average. But the food at Golden Corral was tasty! I went at a good time too because they usually get very crowded. My first experience was at another location and it was not great. It had a very long wait and so crowded i didnt feel comfortable eating or getting my food. I pretty much blocked that memory out of my mind. But this time was awesome! Staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the ladies came and helped me out because i looked confused about getting drinks first. Told her it was my first time here. Super sweet lady! I will be back at this location!

I enjoy the parking lot at this location, as it is much closer to the entrance Tham others. I arrived in the "sweet spot" time before 11am (they open at 10:30am) where the line is reasonable. My favorite selection is the fried chicken, and I made sure to have a few pieces where they were fresh and hot. Generally, they are taken and replenished often, so you just need to wait a little if they happen to be gone. Delicious. The other fixin's were tasty and filling, The desserts were plentiful and very, very good. I tend to drink a lot of soda when I visit, and usually bring 2 glasses from the buffet cashiering station. This way I won't run out if the server is spending time in another section. This server was quite good, even bringing both sodas (different flavors) before one was empty, abd asked later if they should bring both ,(one was fine, thank you )

The best Golden corral in southern California. No other golden corral is as good or as new as this one. They have excellent service and the food actually tastes like food and not like something you put in the microwave and is cold. I loved my experience here and I recommend others to give it a try and see how they like it. The nachos where really good especially with the jalepenos. They could and should let people get their own drinks because I like getting a variety of drinks when I'm at a buffet. But this is truly the best experience I have had at a Golden corral.

If you want the best server in the buffet, ask for Andrew. He's the best they have. He'll take care of you from the moment you sit down till you leave. He's always checking in on you to see if you need anything. That's the reason my family and me visit every Monday, for the great food at a great value and him.

The only thing I didn't like is that people had their kids in there just running around all over the place like if it was chucky cheese. Other then that everything else was great.

Server by the name of Ana was a delight. Ana knew what we needed without even asking us and she had both mine and my husband's drinks ready. Awesome customer service, great hard worker and super friendly. She deserves a raise😁

This was my first time at a Golden Corral. Chose the Downey, CA location, as it seemed to have positive reviews. Based on my other buffet experiences, I had low expectations. However, my preconceived notions were quickly erased. We came on a Saturday at lunch time. The first person we met was the cashier. He was professional, quick and courteous. The entry area was very clean. The host brought us to the table and explained how the buffet service worked. She explained her role, as well. The manager was attentive at the front, talking to guests, keeping an eye on operations, and removing the occasional empty platter from the buffet. The restaurant was packed, yet the buffet was fully stocked and clean. The food was so good. Very fresh steamed vegetables. Lots of protein options, baked, stewed, and fried. Although I sampled a lot, my favorites were the fried fish, tater tots, and fried chicken. None were greasy or overcooked. The chicken was super moist. The fish was mild with a very light fried or baked crust. My wife and son loved their food, as well. We'll definitely be back.

First time there..and let me tell you it did not disappoint! Potatoes, burgers,chicken,salad steak....my God it was all so yummy! Definitely worth it! And the Customer service was outstanding too..highly recommend 👌

If Could Give 10 Stars, I Would. From the time we parked and went inside, everything was very clean and free of clutter. As you can see from the pictures, we waited about 15 minutes to get through the line. But it was very pleasant. The cashier's were both smiling and interacting with the customers and so were the mgt team. We waited less than two minutes to be seated. There was 5 in my party, three adults and two children. Once we got to our table, it was very clean and the condiments/napkins were neatly placed. We then went to fill our plates. The food was great 👍👍👍 and was very warm. You can see from my pictures, very appealing and tasty!! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! There was a gentleman who we assume was the GM or AGM possibly. He was busy cleaning tables, sweeping the floors, sitting people while smiling the entire time. He made the effort to visit every table including. At one point, he and another employee joined in one celebration singing and clapping. We were very impressed. We live in E Hollywood and we will tell all of our friends and family. We will be back soon!

I was so impressed by this place! There's such a huge selection and it's all so good! I'd say the only thing I missed there was hot fudge for the ice-cream but otherwise 10/10.Wait staff were very nice also :)

I love love love the burger sliders they taste so juicy straight out the grill also can’t go wrong with the Mac n cheese and fried chicken and rice 😋 it’s better than hometown buffet (closed down already )

I'll go ahead and give this a five star because this is our go-to place now when we're in that area just so we can't make up our mind more to eat at least we both will have a little bit of everything to choose from and the servers that we get are always good servers and really nice

Great buffet, lots of options, really good food.... Bathroom was some what clean, floor abd carpet by desserts area was sticky. Friendly receptionist and waiter. The quality of food dropped from last time I was there...pre-pandemic, but still good. It took a bit to refill water and coffee as well as items in the buffet line. Arrived during dinner time, so restaurant was busy. Waiter did his best to try to clean plates from table's. I must emphasize the restaurant was packed, and it always seems to be that way. Restaurant is really understaffed. But, A for effort. A little over priced but worth it.

Food was good but the amazing service that the gentleman at the entrance provided was amazing( the one who is at front cashier before you vet to the hostess.) It was our first time there and he was very helpful and informative. Kids loved all the goodies. My favorite was the grilling steak and salads. Will go again. Try going during the week when it's not too crowded.

They participate in the free meals for vets on Veterans Day, a great experience and positive work and stuff added to the atmosphere and positive energy, although it was busy, the staff was on par with picking up used dishes and we’re very attentive. I would recommend this place.

I have been going to the buffet corral in Downey,CA. The service from the cashier to food selection to the employee greeting me at my table has been a good experience. They keep the place clean, are constantly re-filling the the great tasting food in the buffet, I love the cheeseburgers and chicken. I meet with a friend ive known for 20+years twice a month we stay for 2 1/2hours because we like the atmosphere and friendliness.

It was a great family dinner night, we all like the fact that they have so many choices of delicious food to choose from, from the hot made fresh food to the carving of different meat that they have and also steaks cooked to your liking, the selection of salads and feesh fruits to rhe dessert bar filled with many different flavors also sugar free options they have a chocolate fountain and many options for dipping and they also have a soft serve ice cream machine with many toppings as well. The waiters and waitresses are very nice and courteous very attentive to their guests which makes it pleasant to be there with your loved ones.

For years, I had been missing Hometown Buffet and had no idea Golden Corral was an alternative. I always thought it was a steakhouse. The food freshness and variety was pretty good. Kim was our server and she did an amazing job and making sure we were taken care of. That bourbon street chicken was pretty good! Definitely recommend this place and Definitely coming back!

This is a nice Golden Corral buffet! It's clean throughout and the food was constantly being replenished. My server Andrew was fantastic and made sure I had everything I needed. Dinner is the best time to come for the unlimited Sirloin steak. I also enjoyed the Roast beef, Pulled pork, BBQ ribs, Sides and Desserts were all delicious! There's no time limit and they have a large parking lot outside.

My husband and I had a fantastic time at this location. We have not been to a Golden Corral in long time and we were not disappointed. The only downside was that you had to go through a couple plates to find a clean one and the ice cream machine was down. Other than that the food was amazing, just as we remembered it and the team was ran well by the hardworking manger Jose. It seems that he really cares for his team and customers. Thank you for a great night !

Main courses were good. Salad bar short on variety. Iike, no beets, tomatoes. Sizzler much better. Desserts not good. Mango limeaid good, hibiscus was weak. Nice layout of kitchens and seating. Overall worthwhile for the price.

Want with a friend after a long day working on his Jeep not finishing. We were just worn and hungry. We each loaded at least three plates plus soup and dessert. The young lady who waited on our area was very accommodating, we honestly didn't have to chase anyone down trying to get drinks refilled, which has always been the norm at GC. The tip we left was enough for her to go to the windows and indicate she was surprised by it.

Great selection of food! Atmosphere more of a cafeteria vibe than a restaurant. The chairs were rundown and supplies, boxes and kitchen areas visible. But still worth the price !

Wonderful variety of salads & soups, hot entries, baked potatoes with fixings, and, of course, desserts. It was definitely an extremely busy June Friday night with birthdays and graduation among other hungry guests. Workers were still pleasant though and cheerfully chanting happy birthday for those celebrating with friends and family.

Great food and customer service . I had the pleasure of having Eddy and Ricky as waiters. Customer service was beyond my expectations . The only thing that needs improvement is the dessert section. There were 4 to 5 employees and it took them 15 minutes or more to place the bread pudding. I had to ask the girl if they had any and she still took her sweet time. There was probably 3 different desserts that were empty. Other than that the place was great .

This was my 1st time there For my job employees appreciation luncheon 1st of all you need a better entrance sign i ended up walking all the way around the building. once in the staff is OK not overly friendly Just pleasant enough. The Golden Corral me and my family were at was nice and the workers were very kind. And the food was great but there were some dishes that didn’t taste how they looked, for example the chocolate pudding it tasted like they put some chemical in it or something. But from that the place is amazing and I would go again but maybe the place can be a little bit more cleaner, this is just my opinion. (And I don’t mean to offend anyone if I do, sorry)

Kids like Golden Corral. This is our 3rd one since moving from NY to CA. Service was good. Staff are attentive. Food was decent, but I do like the one in Ontario better for variety and for their pulled pork.

I was very surprised that this buffet was actually worth dining at. The fried rice was the only think that was dry and hard. The special request steak was perry good and it comes with the Buffet dinner price.

I grown-up on this food this always been good. I can't give this place 5-stars because I do not believe that I have ever had a 5-star meal. So I have nothing to reference to a 5-star meal. I only EVER go when they have the veterans day feed. But for the past two years I've wait LESS TIME than in other states. I currently live in Los Angeles and have been.to golden corrals in Wichita, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri they're always busy.

Well hi there. I love eating healthy and no so healthy lol. All Golden Corral's are managed different and well this one specifically had a few servers that were amazing. Food was as most Golden Corrals decent and well our family was fen and full. I do wish there men's rest room was cleaned more often and there napkin dispensers on most of the tables including ours had a thick layer of dust or sawdust? Our server was on it and so helpful. Went early for breakfast. Some of the food was cold and some lacked seasoning. The omelet station was by far the best and tastiest. Service was amazing, staff was attentive to all our needs. Would try again due to the good service.

It was good. I was enjoying the food unti l i noticed a roof leak. It was dripping next to our table so appetite went away. Kind of shy to notify Stagg I hope they fixed it. But overall really chill place for A rainy day.

The food was fine. They keep it stocked and warm. I don't have any complaints other than they offer Slurpies as a dessert, but don't give you a cup for it. They only offer tiny bowls. WTH? The service is average. The atmosphere is best decribed as "middle school cafeteria" or "prison chow hall" It is loud and chaotic with tables close together and kids running all over. Very busy, even between 2 and 4PM. I won't return to the Downey location.

**3.5 Stars** Exceeded expectations and the fried chicken is legit. A lot of options and the $22 entry price is impressive. Great for very large groups. Really friendly service, family crowds and efficient operation. Indoor seating only. Credit cards including Amex accepted. Plentiful parking in the dedicated lot. No reservations but the line moves quickly.

Our food was not very hot. It was very cold. It was in good tasting. I wasn’t happy after I left. My stomach started hurting.

Mainly, the atmosphere was way out of line. The organization they seemed to have was very flawed. Lines were getting cut, people were crowded and hovering over each other, the food was messy, the restrooms smelled like public restrooms; so much chaos. The only politeness my wife and I encountered was the young man at the cashier and the steak server/cook. That steak was one of the very few food items that were worth the cost. I should have gone to an actual steak restaurant for the price. Altogether, I would not visit again.

My family and I went there on 9/23 at dinner time. The person who was cutting the roast beef was racists. Refused to wait on me nor cut my protein. Another person in the kitchen told him something in Spanish and he walked over. Gave me a dirty look and cut the smallest piece of protein he could. About 1.5" round. Toss it on my plate and walked away. Sadly, people forget when they were treated like this. Now they do it to others and suddenly its ok. We will not return do to this treatment at this location. If this bothers you, then you should also stay away and make a statement. This isn't ok. As for the food, it was good. Location was clean. Items were stocked and maintained. Very pricey. $22 a plate and drinks were added to price.

Bud service. They run out of food. Managers incharge. don't care when you bring a complaint to them about service or food out. Specially this lady on bell restaurant.. dirty place. don't go there. Same food every day... old tables. Chairs. .dirty. but they want you to tip them.. but service is bud. I will take my money to other places. Better.

Walking in was so packed ... People cutting ahead... When I went to pay the cashier was very rushy and gave me dirty looks it was a male with a Beard .. he seemed to have gotten impatient with me and gave me that look like. Can you hurry the heck up please ,after the transaction I told him thank you for your patience and he just didn't even look at me. He didn't say anything so he made me feel even more like I'm bothering him. Get the hell out of my face. It's like bro. You don't like your job. Go back to school. Don't take it out on me. Then when it was time for me to sit in my table they sat me all the way in the back in the corner and then the waiter who's supposed to come and refill our drinks out of the 2 hours I was there. He only refilled my drink once. He only took the plates twice and once one of them was even done by a girl who covered his break and I still tipped them even though he kept giving me funny looks when I didn't want to ask him for a refill he asked me and I said yes and I said sweet tea. He brought Coke so the attitude continues in there and it's just the males cuz I didn't get no attitude from females. Other than that the food was not bad but it kept running out. So every time I kept getting up to get more everything was out. Even the rice there was like nothing else to eat other than little finger food. It's like dude I paid $100 plus dollars for all the people I brought for finger food like not even ribs come on.... You're going to advertise it. At least have it... I don't think I'll ever come back because it was too much for me. It would have been better if the waiters weren't so mean and made me feel so uncomfortable....
