Good service, clean and tasty food.

I went to the Habit Sunday morning and despite the huge line i was greeted and i felt very welcomed. The food was amazing and the store was clean I only come here because of how well my family and i are treated!

Employees were very friendly and helpful. All stations were clean. Food freash and warm. Enjoyed my time there. Temperature a bit cold.

My favorite hamburger place in Downey. I used to live down the street from the original in Goleta, CA on Hollister. Irresistible food! Fast service and always a clean environment.

They used to make lots of mistakes on my orders last year. I had to speak to managets and called corporate once even. They always made it right at the end and ever since they changed their staff, haven't had any error at all. Great food.

The burgers are on point. Lots of menu items. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, all made to order. The staff are all nice and helpful. Especially the girl that was on the register. The service alone makes me want to return. They have a small outdoor patio dining area with some umbrellas for shade and heaters for when they're needed. Their bathroom is small and for a single person. It sucks because it's usually a little busy especially during lunch hours

Went to the Habit about a week ago. Had a excellent service by the blonde cashier that was there (forgot her name, 😬). Very cheery and Delightful and professional. Take notes people. This is how customer service is suppose to be. Thank you for taking my order and providing us with good food and service.

The Habit Burger has the best waitresses in Downey. Always so friendly and provide great customer service . Other restaurant staff are just doing a job and you are just another customer to them. Not to mention that the double char burger steamed burger is to die for. It melts in your mouth. I am an every Friday night customer at the Habit Burger. Look forward to seeing my girls that work there every week they make my day!

Food and service is always great. Try the Santa Barbara burger, my wife and I split one. Best onion rings of any fast food place.

Great Santa Barbara burger combo. Fries and the shake were delicious. Gotta love the fact that there not a huge line like chick-fila or in N out.. and the burgers are tasty.

Very good burgers. And very easy to customize if you want to lettuce wrap or add bacon or chili's just ask. Also kids meals are a great deal here and very reasonably sized

Everything tastes fresh and amazing. It is a tad bit pricier than a regular fast food place but you definitely get what you pay for. Great milkshakes and fresh strawberry lemonade.

I love their food. They are a bit pricey but I hope they do have more combos than having everything separated. Their customer service is great.

The food here is delicious! I tried the chicken club 😁 with some onion rings. The customer service was amazing! I do want to mention Angel for his amazing customer service and America for being so helpful. I felt very welcomed. Not to mention the restaurant looked very clean including the restrooms. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The double char was delicious! This Habit location is nice and chill with plenty of parking. The service was fast and accurate for my order. It's nice and clean inside and outside. I came early Saturday evening and it wasn't even that packed. Highly recommended :)

Been to this location at least 6 times and EVERY TIME has been great! Especially the staff -super friendly & helpful. Our last trip we THOUGHT we had the wrong food and the manager didn't hesitate to offer to replace with the right food. But, actually, all our food was correct but the manager didn't make us feel foolish for questioning the order. He smiled and seemed genuinely concerned that we should be happy.

The food was excellent, but not nearly as excellent as the customer service. While we were enjoying our food, the kind lady who took our order checked in on us, then one of the supervisors checked in on us to see if we needed anything. I find this rare when eating inside a fast food place, yet so professional and awesome. I appreciate the staff and will always return to this location when passing through.

Everyone here tends to be very nice and helpful. Food is always fresh and good. The only negative experience which is annoying was I asked Claudia to see if the root beer had run out and she said ok I'll check on it for you. She then proceeds to tell the rest of her staff goodbye and she'll see them tomorrow clocked out and went home for the day. I don't mind the fact that she was already off for the day but the least you could have done is told somebody else to change out the root beer as I was still waiting on it with my food now starting to get cold.

My visit today was excellent, burger was delicious and that fries were the best I've ever had and prepared to perfection! This is usually not what I would post for a burger joint, but honestly this was the Best and a first for me ! Thank You Habit !

I don't know how long it's been on the menu, but I'm so excited The Habit now has a plant-based patty. The burger tasted amazing, I wanted seconds. I was recommended to try the salads. Looking forward to my next visit.

I loved the Char burger. It was really good. Their fries are amazing beats mcdonalds and in n out. Great staff! Had an amazing experience there. First time and will not be my last.

I just wanted to take a moment and recognize Esteban and the staff that worked on Easter Sunday at The Habit in Downey. My family and I had an emergency with our grandmother which put us spending the holiday at the emergency room and when we came in, Esteban was very kind and accommodating to our order request, even individually bagging our order for us. It was a nice experience and break from the morning we had had and we appreciate the kindness and care that he and the entire team showed us. Thank you again for your warm hospitality in a less celebratory moment for our family. 🫶

Ordered their new Chicken Club sandwich. Buttered and golden toasted bread, great taste with the avocado. However, chicken fillet was small, 1/5 or the sandwich was just bread. They forgot the bacon so they gave to me on the side but did offer to remake the sandwich. Location is clean. The staff is nice. Would definitely go back. Maybe not for the same sandwich tho.

I haven't been to The Habit since my days in school. This particular location does not only have a great food but an outstanding customer service. Aside from being a great place with good food it was superbly clean

It's just a burger joint, but it has a good burger, and it's clean. The prices are quite high for what it is.

I had the hamburger and onion rings, it was good had grilled onion on burger, nice touch, the onion rings were just standard onion rings. People with me had salad that looked really good, and she enjoyed it alot, think that will be what I try next time.

Parking is usually always taken up by the Chik-fil- A next door. Unless it's a Sunday of course. Staff is always friendly. Food can be a bit on the salty side. So make sure to ask if it could be made without salt. Tables are usually clean and the bathrooms are always clean.

Went to this Habit thinking there was a drive thru, I was wrong... so I got off to order my food to go. Service was great cashier was very pleasant. Food was fresh I enjoyed the super food salad. Place was clean inside and out. I wish it had a drive thru.

It was good. First time trying a Habit burger. It taste like a back yard burger. If you have a good appetite do the double patty cause their burgers are not big.

Went here a couple of days ago. Food to me was the best from all the Habit restaurants I have been to. Prices around 13 bucks per person. Fried green beans delicious. Friendly service. Place very clean. However my niece found a long hair in the middle of her veggie burger. She didn't want to complain, shy so she just stopped eating. I finished everything and loved my meal.

This was my 2nd time visiting this place and I am rather liking it. The first time I was here I liked it so a second time just made sense. This time I thought I would have something different. I thought I had made up my mind and then my brother suggested something else. All I had to see was that it was on sourdough and had avocado. This turned out to be a great choice. Without hesitation I could say that the way they toast their sourdough on the grill is the best I've had. I hope this is normal. The burger patties are not on the thick side but the way they put their creations together just works. I will definitely be going back and trying something else to see what I can discover.

First time eating at this chain, i did a curbside pickup order of the double burger and onion rings and a belt for lunch for my night shift work. the burger wasn’t bad at all, the onion rings were heavily salted and the batter was just too crispy. the boy woulda been bomb but for me was lacking enough mayo, making it too dry. overall i would eat here again just would go with fries over the rings

Really enjoy the food here , the hamburger was smaller then normal but was really great tastings. Really like that they had yellow peppers to go along with your meal. First time here but I'll be back to try other items on the menu. Very happy with my hamburger.

The last time I had The Habit was 2012, before I moved overseas. A double char combo with bacon & avocado was $10.10. I returned to the US recently and was shocked to find that the exact same combo was $19.xx. The Habit is my favorite burger place, I had eaten literally everything on the menu before I left. Although the service and food were still nice, I won't be coming back often, that's just too expensive.

Food is great, the Sweet Potato Fries 🍟 😋🔥 no matter the meal, these fries add a sweet and salty combination. It Would be nice to have a drive thru ar this location, depending on the day and time it really gets hectic, and traffic really sucks 😑.

Usually I'm very happy with the habit but the wilted lettuce, undercooked fries, dirty windows and such made for an abnormally bad experience. UPDATE: I emailed the Habit on the 29th as requested. We will see what happens.

Service was great. I got the ahi tuna sandwich and fish was sooooooo Dry. Crispy green beans were good but a very small portion for the price. My husband and sister got burgers and they said they were mediocre. Sweet potatoes were good. Overall. 1st time and last time there. Wasn't something to want to come back too. Especially for the price..

Unfortunate to say not one tablet was cleaned during my eat in visit. People ate at a couple different tables but were never cleaned after leaving. One table even had an employee eating at break & it wasn't cleaned. Then they have these cards on the table to make you think that they have been cleaned. What's the point of the cards if the table isn't really clean. On the plus side the food is always good. Great sweet potato fries!

Went inside straight to the cash register to order. I was not greeted, only asked from afar "pick-up order?" and, after waiting a few more minutes, she finally came to the register. If I was there to pick an order up, I would have gone to that side of the counter 😐 Not good customer service at the Downey location. It's unfortunate, I'm old skool in that I need the total package, good service and good food. I love their burgers but service seems to be lacking, had this at another one of their locations as well so was hopeful that Downey would be better. Meh, will try yet another location next time and keep my fingers crossed.

The service is ok but they tend to mess up on orders a lot and not do anything to fix it.

The hamburger was good, just the time it took to make my 1 hamburger was way to long. Made me stand outside while they made it and for that reason alone I will not come back. There is no drive thru

I ordered a veggie burger with medium fries and a drink. I got the order pretty quick. Packed everything up and then proceeded to eat the food once I arrived at my destination. To my surprise, when I checked on the fries they gave so little! It looked like they gave alot with a big bag. But hope, it was a little bit. The veggie patty was okay. It was a 2 out 5 burger. This was the closest thing I could get to accommodate for my diet preference.

As a customer, The Habit has great burgers. As an Uber Eats deliver driver, they had me wait more than a half hour for my delivery order. My client and I were very frustrated with the slow service.

I hope our experience was a fluke bad visit. Tri tip was half gristle, the bun on the ahi sandwich was burned and some of the fries were raw and/or undercooked. The sriracha green beans were good and the staff was friendly. I'll give it another shot eventually.

Manager lady at the counter said it takes 10 minutes for the kiosk order to pop up on their screen… ??? she’s just chatting away with other workers and not paying attention. Poor service, your best bet is to go somewhere else.

I came to get the BOGO charburger. I told the woman, Claudia, who seemed to be a manager, that I wanted to pay the difference and get an ahi tuna sandwich instead of a charburger for one of the sandwiches. It became very confusing the way she explained it; she kept asking me if I wanted cheese on it, and she told me that she would have to charge me extra for teriyaki sauce and tartar sauce. She said that they had to prepare it exactly like the charburger (that was a first for me). I told her that all of the other times that I have paid the difference and switched it out, I never had to pay extra for the sauces. So, I said never mind. She kept telling me over and over again that she had to make it exactly like the charburger and asking me if I wanted cheese on it. I just answered her and wanted to be done. She was not nice at all. While I was waiting for my order, I saw Claudia go from cleaning, prepping and taking out the trash to handling and bagging orders without washing her hands. That is not ok at all...ever!!! I would have asked for a refund and walked out but, luckily, she was only putting our food in the bag (even though that is still not ok). But, I will not be coming back to this location.

Looks like the size of onion rings and fries are getting small and I ask for extra ranch sauce for the onion rings and was surprised that they charged for extra.

The grilled chicken sandwich here was horrible! The bread was soggy and something was wrong with the chicken, it was black in a spot. First and last time here.

The food was not as fresh as I thought it would be. I ordered a chicken cesar salad with tomatoes and cucmber...I got soggy lettuce, no cucmbers and stale croutons. My husband ordered a Santa Barbara and he got a sloppy burger. Not good.

The original habit in Santa Barbara is great. This Downey one is garbage. Burger gave my friend and I a case of the bubbleguts. First and last time visiting this establishment.

The cashier had very poor listening skills. After the first upsell, I said, "I don't do upsells". Her next question was for for another upsell. She then had the audacity to infer that I had ordered the combination, which I hadn't.

The wait is very long because the employees are all talking and having more fun than assuring food is going out fast. Doordash is expected to wait 10+ minutes for the meal. Slows down business & satisfaction for everybody.

I use to love this place when it recently open but a year or so the staff change I guess younger employees don’t take it seriously. Took my fam today for dinner to take out got home some fries were not fully cooked the meat in the middle was raw had to cook it a bit more my self to far to go back and complain I will stop going for a while here ....me and family never had submit a review but reason for now our stomach is hurting hope not to end up in the ER later on ..

I ordered online, paid, and was ready to eat. When I went to the restaurant to pick up my food they told me they were closed, I explained that I ordered online and the app said my food was ready to be picked up. The worker told me that they didn’t make my food, I told them that I had already paid and they told me that I had to order a different time. I need a refund, please refund my card. This was a terrible experience and I will never be dining at the habit again. I will definitely tell all my friends and people I know about this horrible experience.

Last time my food was cold but I didn’t say anything because I know it can happen during a rush or something. Come back a few weeks later and my order is messed up. I should have checked the bag before i left but i went home with it. Had to go back, obviously annoyed and I wasn’t even given a sorry or anything. And they kept the food I brought back?? That’s weird. Restaurants make mistakes but its how they handle them that keeps customers loyal. F on this location

Good food horrible service. Ordered a curbside order, and had to go in to get my order after waiting for 20 minutes. That would have not been a problem, but I called restaurant to ask about order and claimed no order existed under my name. Weird how it existed when I walked in...

We ordered two impossible burgers today. Unfortunately they were undercooked. I didn't think it was possible for these plant based burgers to be undercooked but yup they were. It tasted mushy and it was awful. We did not finish them, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Worst location I've been to. Not only was the cashier clueless on my other I was given the wrong order and the lady basically debated me until I showed her my receipt and still had the audacity to ask if I was given one. Also they forget avocado on my club sandwich. Manager and employees lack great customer service. Horrible!

They got rid of the Impossible burgers. They were the only major chain to carry Impossible burgers. Their veggie burgers suck. I won’t be going to any Habit Burger anymore. You lost a big customer.

If you’re going to charge extra for ranch, and I mean (I only asked for one extra) please fill your cups up. Super bothering when it’s less than half full but you want to charge for one more cup. Won’t be back at the habit with this change.

Be wary. They are now starting to charge for ranch and thousand island. 90 cents each. Ridiculous, not only do they raise the food prices but they also take advantage of the dressings. Will never eat here again

I don’t know how the regular fare is here, but if you’re after a vegan burger don’t even give it a try. The burger is a tasteless mashup of veggies, and the bun is some sort of dry sponge. These days with all the amazing new vegan burgers like Beyond and Impossible, this really stands out for the worse. My kids took one bite, I managed two.

I had a really disappointing experience with Santana. I called in a phone order and provided all my card information. I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. When I arrived, not only had the order not been placed, but I was also met with rudeness and zero accountability. Instead of apologizing, they acted like it was my fault. I understand if someone is in training, but there was no confrontation number provided, and they hung up on me when I tried to call back. For reference, I called at 3:27. Completely unprofessional and frustrating experience.

I placed this order 20 minutes before closing this does not mean that u have to give me the left over from 1-2 hrs ago my bread was soggy and fries were even worste I have never ever had this experience from a habit burger! I should’ve stuck to in&out they would never do this! Somebody really needs to watch this. And why are you guys even cleaning and closing while cooking food. You guys shouldn’t start that until the doors are closed seems your focused on closing this customer satisfaction. I will not be visiting here again!

I ordered a half-and-half mix of fries and onion rings. Unfortunately, the fries were drenched in oil and extremely greasy, while the onion rings were soggy and limp. I brought this to the manager’s attention and showed her what was left. She simply replaced the same portion—no more, no less. While I wasn’t expecting an entirely new order, the lack of accountability was disappointing. Not even a single apology from the manager—truly poor customer service

Great Customer Service but unfortunately quality of food for the chain went down hill. From Coke drinks to the downgraded Pepsi drinks. The smaller portions of food. This place was my go to burger place. Unfortunately will have to look elsewhere.

I ordered a Patty melt and a Char cheese Burger both well done the person taking the order repeated well done, it's on my receipt and yet we received uncooked burgers. This was the reason my wife did not want to go to Habit because this happened the last time we went. I finally convinced her to give Habit another try and they did it again. See pictures of my receipt with well done on both burgers and pictures of both burgers with uncooked meat. At least my dog ate good tonight. Looks like the only Habit we'll be doing in 2022 is not going to the Habit burger grill and we'll spread the word. In-N-Out burger here we come...
